1263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A blind investor's confession on: April 15, 2022, 11:46:07 PM
Don't be too emotional with the altcoins and meme coins, they're really going to put you through hype but eventually will leave you and will be stuck in the midst of it leaving you at great loss.
The most common happened in all newbies out there, they actually lure on the hyped coin knowing that those coins actually exist because of the hype not the utility of the project.  Newbies should know this, don't dive into it easily without proper research, or much better stick to the top cryptocurrencies which give the potential of gaining profit.

New investors should not think only about profit in the short term because it's very risky for them, just go for the long-term investment which is considered safe for them.  But at least OP learned from those mistakes and it might this will not happen again, experience is the best teacher as they said.
1264  Other / Meta / Re: An attempt was made to steal my password on: April 14, 2022, 02:59:46 PM
I think implementing 2FA is also important to increase account security. But unfortunately not yet.
IMO, isn't necessary to add this feature in the future because there's a tendency that you will lose the device that is used in generating 2FA code.

Staking your Bitcoin address as you've said, is fair enough, you need to sign a message your Bitcoin address to prove of ownership.  In addition, you should also have an access to your email address that is linked to your Bitcointalk account or it should always be active so that you'll be notified when someone attempts to change it and you'll receive a message that will lock your account upon clicking it and it's effective within 14 days after receiving the notification message that sent to your email address.

I didn't remember the name there's a user that has been hacked before, the hacker used the account and posted a malicious link, might the hacker of OP account maybe this is also their purpose.  After gaining access they will use it in fraud activity because it's impossible to sell when the real owner is always active on the forum.

We should be careful clicking a link that sent messages privately.
1265  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nutildah? on: April 14, 2022, 02:10:04 PM
..he did mention once that he has a Filipina girlfriend when he was living in the Philippines.
I remember this when I saw @nultildah posted on Coins.ph thread but I didn't find now, instead, this was I've found which proves he's a foreigner.
As a foreigner I hate having to learn new systems. Lol.

I hope he is fine and will come back soon, as he said on this thread 3 years ago, he is getting fat from drinking a lot of beer and eating a lot of pork here on the Philippines.  And maybe he went home to their place and was very busy in his real life.

Whatever the reason is, hoping he's fine and shows interest again here in the forum.  He is Kuya nultildah in the Philippines.
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIB Listed in Robin Hood on: April 12, 2022, 11:59:20 PM
Prolly a good time to start buying some?
I thought this meme coin will not be able to survive and be listed on such an exchange, ain't fanatic about this coin because I know they only create a short trend, and later they will disappear or it could be losing a real value from the market.

Robin Hood is used a lot to pump and dump stocks,
This is what I'm thinking, it seems the same tactics of other exchange that accept a coin and that has easy to manipulate the price and could be easy to have a pump and dump.  For those who want to gamble on this coin, make sure it is always the amount that you can afford.
1267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term investment suggestion on: April 12, 2022, 11:51:53 PM
I believe that if you are looking for a short-term investment, you must go to what is currently trending or popular these days, like NFT, DEFI.
Most of them for sure are in mid-small market caps.
I am not saying here that NFTs/DeFis are only short terms, I am telling the projects or altcoins that are related with these technologies.

They still need research on this even though they're currently trending, there are few reports that scam projects in this field still exist and only the purpose was scamming naive investors.  They're surely a short-term investment because soon when NFT and DEFI projects will replace a new one, like the ICO and IEO which faded when NTF and Defi arrived.

It's very crucial to invest in altcoin in a short term, especially meme coins which I don't like so much to invest.
Just gamble if you want but make it sure it's an amount that you can afford.
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN NOW A LEGAL TENDER IN SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE OF HONDURAS. on: April 12, 2022, 11:33:52 PM
It's in Próspera which is a small island of Roatán.

I don't know how this will affect the community or Bitcoin which is the announcement that has been made.  There's no doubt that this country has no gain capital tax because they're small and maybe their population there are countless.  For now, let's wait for a result on the Bitcoin price if this will have an effect, because usually when there's an adoption, the Bitcoin price commonly rises up the same on El Salvador Bitcoin legal tender adoption.

1269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: April 12, 2022, 11:14:23 PM
Perhaps, I've been trying trading without TA just to see if it really works, but unfortunately, that only it ends up losing.

I have to say that trading needs not only just having knowledge and skills nor to rely on LUCK and Hopes, we need to improve our analysis, somehow.
It must be a complete package when you're in trading, technical, fundamental analysis, and other automated trading tools that can be used.  Don't rely on a single source, you've always had a preference when there are more of them.  Trading without this it seems like you're in gamble and guessing what would be the result.

Errors are normal in trading, through these errors, you'll learn and improve your skills in trading because trading isn't the sole purpose of making a profit, sometimes it needs experience and learning how to handle the risk.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No condition is permanent in crypto on: April 12, 2022, 02:27:58 PM
In the crypto space no condition is permanent, get ready for both sides because they are inevitable.
From the start, this is what you must understand first, the possible risk of investing in crypto.
There's a possibility where the price will lead, it might go up and down, but in Bitcoin, never look at the market in a short period of time.  If you will compare it to 5 years ago, Bitcoin was folded so many times and it will surely do the same for another 5 years or more.

Understand that Bitcoin has no infinite growth, it will swing it depending on the demand and supply which affect based on the news and activities around but it always ended up at a high price and we have reached multiple times a new all-time high.
1271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I saved myself from cryptocurrency disappointment on: April 12, 2022, 02:19:59 PM
There are 3 major and sustainable ways to make money with cryptocurreny.
1. Investing
2. Crypto Trading
3. Crypto Mining.
When you say sustainable, it should have a maintained level of gaining profit and I don't see trading were fit for it.
Out of the 3 that you've given above that you've said, 3 major sustainable ways to make money isn't true that trading belongs to this criteria.  It's very crucial to make money in trading and trading isn't an easy way to make a sustainable profit, there's always a risk were involved not like investing is you will wait for a perfect time of selling your asset while mining you need a large of capital for the mining machines or facilities.

All precautions that you've mentioned above were right and you should learn from those of your previous mistakes, disappointment becomes quitting and quitters become a loser, therefore, never quit but instead, learn from it.
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful when adding and transacting on new evm networks on: April 12, 2022, 02:06:24 PM
It seems like you're sending coins to different networks and yes, that's a compatibility issue and this is a very common issue like sending to the BSC network from the ECR20 network.

You should have research first before taking such action, even though that's a small amount but that still has value, IMO.
The exchange that supports the Babo network should be on these exchanges, which are found on CMC.
  • Bybit
  • Huobi Global.
  • BTCEX
  • DigiFinex
  • FTX

This thread is good for newbies to read, it might be good if you will move this too to the Beginners & Help section.
1273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no simple service for HODLing Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2022, 01:33:10 PM
It's common for the time-locked Bitcoin wallet and it seems the same on this wallet ( https://coinb.in ) which is also an open-source wallet but didn't use a smart contract.

There are pros and cons to using this time locked wallet, imagine you can't access your own Bitcoin for 5 years long but what if you will miss out on the bull run trend and when the wallet is locked it's in a bear market.  Though it's safe from the hacker and even yourself from the urge of selling it, I think it feels comfortable if you hold your own private keys.

Anyway, good luck with your project, for those anyone who knows how to keep safe their keys and has a discipline and controls themselves and possibly of nullifying their own itchy fingers tempting to sell their coins, this project should be the right for them.
1274  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 11, 2022, 11:45:46 PM
I voted "No".

We're still in a healthy market, the reason that I didn't watch the market by month(s), it should be by year.  Because if you compare this year compared the last year 2018 when there's a bear market is totally different and for sure it will never come back or let's say repeat itself.  I always think bullish trends will near come, the graph that you've shown is just a normal correction that could be triggered to become bullish again.  Bitcoin is already in the mainstream and many individual people, and public and private institutions already accepted it, I dont think there will be a bear market.
1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust this devil woman, she wants Bitcoin dead on: April 11, 2022, 11:32:02 PM
Do you think crypto cares, the community cares, the free people cares about what she or anyone one else who are trying to keep crypto down for ages? That's an old women with old mindset, speaking garbage. Does she even know how to use a smartphone, or a laptop. I bet she even don't know which are called internet browser LOL
I tend to agree with and I don't care about her and for sure no one will care about of what she said.

I don't know what is the reason for the recent dropped in Bitcoin price but for sure this isn't about her the reason why it drops.  Maybe she was trying to become a famous woman trying to seek attention from anyone (I even dont know her).  One thing in my mind, this could have a hidden agenda from her that we don't know that someday we realized.
1276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Using a Stop loss "Good" or "Bad" on: April 11, 2022, 10:56:49 PM
So is using a stop loss good or bad?

Do we have traders that trade without them, if yes what's your win ratio using this strategy?
That doesn't matter either bad or good, this is just a tool that we can use in trading, if you know how to use stop-loss, then that's good.
This is how we determine and limit losses in trading, you may encounter potential catastrophic losses if you don't have to use this tool.

This is not about the win ratio, this is about how to avoid potential loss since trading is very risky that could be washout all your capital in just a matter of minutes.  If it will grow much better because it has a profit, but if the price drop, you know how to cut loss because you've stop-loss.  IMO, stop-loss is very important in trading to minimize your losses, it seems like your shield while in trading.
1277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term investment suggestion on: April 11, 2022, 02:36:38 PM
Guys, any suggestions for short-term investment?
You're asking for advice but it's in your profile.  Are you shilling this to us?

In CMC there is top crypto gainers and lossers, just pay attention to the top gainers.  Now, if you're willing to gamble your money on this short-term investment it's up to you but always have research and understand it first the possible risk.  Never comeback it here and blame us when you've got a loss because we aren't experts on any financial advice and you shouldn't listen to us.

There are thousands of altcoins that you can choose but there's only one safe investment that considers a safe even short-term or long-term investment, that's Bitcoin for sure.
1278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 11, 2022, 02:24:20 PM
As a lover of Bitcoin how do you spread Bitcoin, i mean how do you tell people about Bitcoin and it's adoptions?

"My old motorbike"
Make them confused and let them show interest by putting a logo/sticker of Bitcoin on any of my stuff (on my motorbike, dress, and even my workbooks), when they ask, I simply answered the basic information about Bitcoin and give them a link to study it.  Let them know the possible risk and understand it how the system works not the way how they make a profit on it.

Bitcoin is already mainstream, there's no need to convince anyone to believe you regarding Bitcoin but for those who are willing to listen and understand what it's about, I'm willing to spare my precious time to share my knowledge with them.
1279  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Keeping coins on Wallets on: April 11, 2022, 01:43:07 PM
My goal is like that: My main investment 80% will to BTC and 20 % on alts. Hope that is normal .
It's a good decision and it's also good if you'll separate your Bitcoin from your altcoins, use a single wallet that's intended for Bitcoin only not a multi-coin wallet upon storing them.  And a multi-coin or multi-chain wallet for your altcoins.

Quote
In exchanges i will just will keep for alts for some profits.
Is this what you've planned for staking your altcoins?
Just choose a decentralized exchange for this, don't ever trust the centralized exchange to entrust your fund for a long period of time.
As ledger staking points out above and this is how Trezor staking guides.
1280  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cexland - Centralized Crypto Exchange on: April 10, 2022, 11:52:14 PM
Good catch, supporting the flag as well.

It's a recycling process, once they have been caught they thought it's easy for them to reuse again the info and register on another website for scamming purposes.  Many centralized exchanges turn out scammed, we should carefully choose the legitimate one or never use a centralized exchange, instead, we have decentralized exchanges like Hold-hold and Bisq.
