2141  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Primedice Unfair? on: February 08, 2014, 10:29:59 PM
I think it is showing the secret from 48 hours ago instead of 24 hours ago for some reason. Thanks for bringing this to my attention I'll update this post when our developer replies. Obviously no foul-play was involved as this is the case for every single bet apparently.

Thanks for the Update.

https://primedice.com/modals/bet.html?id=262100100

this is a bet from 2 month and 2 weeks, i tried 10 other bets from that period, and the verifier show the same roll.
But after this date, all bets that the verifier show is not the same as pd show.

Thats weird. I emailed Stunna. Lets see what the response is.

What's going on with verification? Following instructions here https://primedice.com/modals/verify.html I can't get the primedice roll to match up to the verified roll.

For this bet https://primedice.com/modals/bet.html?id=459292926 primedice has 67 when I verify I get 39.

My code

Code:
$seed = "23c101ef5ea7406036c7d0aace3582b1b0d185dc8d490c76afecc620f5bcf3cab776897424c280279c4e1dcfc305c4a2bbc56e9ab5e8b2d8732a2144de3cbbb6";
$server = "165ae4a71391814738";
$client = "38382-0013";

$hash = hash('sha512', $seed . $server . $client);

$value = substr($hash, 0, 8);
$dice = round(hexdec($value)/42949672.95,2);

echo "Roll", " ",   $dice;

Am I doing something wrong?
Are these instructions obsolete?

Is there a website that verifies various provably fair gambling sites, preferably with javascript code running client side? I tried JavaScript code too, only got it to match up to the PHP result.

OMG! You are RIGHT!!! This may be proof of scam although I highly doubt it.
if you have highly doubt then I am also not agree with this all good luck for your doubt

Made a separate post about it here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=455851.msg5024497#msg5024497
2144  Economy / Service Discussion / [Solved] on: February 08, 2014, 09:57:18 PM
I know this looks bad. I am a mod and I am trying to prove Primedice unfair, but its the truth. This was brought to our attention by a different user: Pupsimus on the main PD thread. I just wanted your input on this.

https://primedice.com/modals/bet.html?id=459292926

^ This bet is unfair. If you use this: http://bitcoinmaniac.com/verify/ or their own code provided, you get 39.22 but Primedice says the roll is 67.53. This might just be a small mistake or it could be happening on a lot of rolls. Thankfully its only a tiny fraction of BTC, but what do you think?

Dont get me wrong, I still love PD and this is only a small mistake but just want your opinions on this.

Solved!

Too bad, the legendary pizza buyer is no longer here since June 2012.

I think he lives a few miles from me, would love to buy him a beer sometime, he is/was a visionary.

Hah. You would have a pretty interesting chat with him. One recommendation. Buy him a pizza Cheesy
2152  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: COINBASE - Serious Issue - Reversing Bank Deposits, erroneous withdrawals, etc.. on: February 07, 2014, 04:49:26 AM
After reading the last few posts i am not even sure where the problem is now. Does coinbase owe him money or the other way around... And it also appears the double pay was for different amounts? Some of the first post bank info is blacked out.

Here is what happened. Coinbase accidentally double paid for the transaction. All the balance was removed from his bank account. Coinbase was then looking to get the 1/2 of the money back from the bank (since it was a double pay). The bank account was empty. Then it just took 1btc (which is 1/2 of the transaction in bitcoins) and now he is complaining. (He spent the other btc)
2153  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: COINBASE - Serious Issue - Reversing Bank Deposits, erroneous withdrawals, etc.. on: February 07, 2014, 03:28:46 AM

Wow, if you put it this way, its rabbit's fault.

I'm not sure what I find more annoying:

 - Companies (so-called) who feel like they are so far above their customers that they don't have to trouble themselves with updates, explanations, equal treatment (e.g., personal identification), etc.

 - Customers who feel that they are positioned such that if by some accident of fate they end up on the winning side of an accident they have the God-given right to any positives but don't have any obligation to shoulder the slightest negative or inconvenience.

Shit happens.  Really.  I'm not going to preach to people, but it certainly works better for me to just be straight up and try to solve problems in a fair way.  That doesn't mean getting walked on if I'm wronged, but most accidents in the real world are exactly that.  Accidents.  Maybe not so much in Bitcoinland however.

So, I think we got this issue solved. Is the customer fault for assuming he should always get the good side. To be more specific:

Quote
Customers who feel that they are positioned such that if by some accident of fate they end up on the winning side of an accident they have the God-given right to any positives but don't have any obligation to shoulder the slightest negative or inconvenience.
2154  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: COINBASE - Serious Issue - Reversing Bank Deposits, erroneous withdrawals, etc.. on: February 07, 2014, 03:04:19 AM
Got an email from support this morning:

"JAN 16, 2014  |  09:19PM PST
Alex replied:
Hi there,

Thanks for alerting us to this problem! It appears that the ACH credits on your sell of 1.00 BTC for $586.72 were sent out twice in error. In response, our system initiated a debit to correct the duplication. When this debit of your bank account was reversed due to insufficient funds (R01), the system reclaimed 1.00 BTC from your Coinbase balance instead (OC977Q2O).

Thanks again for bearing with us on this!"

Get that? So not only did they debit my account without telling me, (incurring a overdraft fee that I have to pay and coinbase still doesn't look like they will take responsibility for), they then "RECLAIMED" 1BTC from my coinbase balance instead.

I'm furious. I've written the CEO Brian with the hopes of getting a response, but so far, I'm just so angry. None of this stuff was listed in my transaction history (at least at the time) and there was no communication from them it was going on.

So do I have this about right:

 - Coinbase double-paid you for a sale (and I know others who were similarly impacted by this bug.)

 - You said nothing about it, but spent all the money or transferred it out of your linked bank account.

 - Coinbase tried to reclaim the money the overpaid you via ACH, but it failed because you had taken evasive action.

 - Coinbase took BTC instead since you were not, apparently, fast enough to close off that avenue.

 - You whined bitterly about it on the forum, but somehow neglected to mention the fairly important detail about the double-pay.

If that's about the size of it, I've lost more than a little respect for you.  FWIW, anyone who double-paid me would hear about it from me and as soon as I discovered the error.  This is not idle conjecture.  I've done it in every such situation.  It just saves everyone a lot of grief and I'm in no worse shape than when I started out.

Wow, if you put it this way, its rabbit's fault.

Ahh... Some kind of auto filters or whatsoever . Np.

Nahtnam i know i don't get it by asking . I was not asking to become mod, just asking HOW u can get there. Like u and some others did.
I see only u , Hui , and Pokerjet on chat, and u are not vary active, like 60-80% of time there is no mod on PD , and then chat is just mess. We try to explain rules but its hard to do.

But i stunna said there will be more clear rules for chat on PD3, which is good. Coz atm as i see it , there is no written rules for chat , right ?

Really? As far as I know there is only 1-3 hour gap where there is no mod. Also I am on chat a lot I just don't chat. I prefer watching season 1 of suits over chatting (no offense) so I watch it and every 10-15 minutes I switch over. In pd3 there is a ignore command so you can ignore trollers.

Ahh yeah that is ok i just don't see u chating to often . And lots of "not allowed" things happens and u probably miss them . Is there any way to call u in when u needed , like on skype ?

And yeah that ignore command would be nice. Stunna said something about pm to . As i see it , pd is nearly perfect , and will be even more with pd3 . Just hope they did not mess up this great design Cheesy .

And yeah i am on chat way to much , i just spend alot of time at my PC so in free time i love chatting and helping others there.
Community on pd is just awesome.

Soo... Looking forward to pd3 . Smiley . See ya...

If you ever need to reach me, you can email manthan@nahtnam.com . If I don't reply, it means that I am sleeping or I'm busy.

How many of you that have the primedice advertisement on your signature have actually gone to primedice and/or played there?

I have been playing since pd1. I just had a few mbtc and I managed to turn it into more than 0.05. That's what sparked my interest into bitcoin. Thanks Stunna.

Also , would be nice if someone can tell me how u can become mod or minion Smiley or some kind of under mod Cheesy . On primedice. I am there 10-12h active on chat, no kidding , and i helped alot of people there, just ask on chat everybody knows me , jezzz some even think i am admin , or owner Cheesy hahah ... Ask around for MICRO or check my id: 132476 for active time , well tab stays open all the time but stunna or some admin should see my chat active time .
And alot of time there is no mod on chat , and chat is mess , addyes flying around ref links and scam offers so i think pd needs more mods. And from different timezones .

Tnx.

You don't get it by just asking.
