1444  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Blockr.io bitcoin block explorer on: April 06, 2014, 01:57:18 PM
This is one of the prettiest blockchain explorers I have seen! Keep up the awesome work!

yes well it is very good project! Smiley
I hope in the future it will show that it can be a real alternative with all options included for blockchain.info.

One thing I did notice is that blockchain.info is much faster.
1445  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN]***BitSource.org Bitcoin/Litecoin USD Exchange – Buy, Sell, Trade [IN BETA] on: April 06, 2014, 06:16:58 AM
I was looking for a exchange based in US (much safer to trade with).

US based exchanges though are always hit with random red-tape and hoops to jump through, plus as far as anonymity goes I'm not that comfortable with the government having access to any and all logs regarding user activity.

Personally I prefer having an American company handle my American bank account. I don't care about being anonymous.

Well, you will have to pay taxes then Smiley

Coinbase and coinmkt are US based but they ID. You will be subject to taxes and scrutiny

I don't have to pay taxes.

Well thats because you are really underage Wink wait till you are older. You will learn the Great Rape of Tax

Fuck.

This and 3 other threads are the most irritating ones EVER.

The "Will bitcoin reach $1000 one day" thread on newbie talk that keeps reviving itself even though bitcoin already exceeded $1000.

I've not seen any form of forum moderation here. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the freedom, just stating a observance.

Yep, thats one of them. There is also the PD signature campaign which has around 100 pages of useless posting.
1449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying bitcoin is a pain. on: April 06, 2014, 02:20:20 AM
Yes, it does have good points but the same things are repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Welcome to Bitcointalk.

Almost everything related to bitcoin is typed 10 billion times.
It gets tiresome even reading posts.

What country is the exchange based in?

We are based in Belize but able to serve anyone across the world.
For example, we are accepting USD, EURO, MXN, CNY.

DW about it. Its just that this thread was really offtopic at some points and it kind of got annoying to see replies.

I think this thread has some good points, at least it helped me.

I get email notifications for all topics I post on, and I always check posts. I realized that this was like 2-3 months old, and you just started it again.

Oh I see, it is exactly 2 months old, thought February 06, 2014 is today. I got this thread from search and english is not my first language (February mistaken). Nevermind

1453  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmit alternative ? on: April 06, 2014, 12:36:49 AM

cryptothrift works well for me.
I hope they continue to improve and grow the business.

Yeah. I am also thinking of also running my own site like that. Their design doesnt look too good, and it seems like a profitable business.
1454  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPay Service on: April 06, 2014, 12:34:32 AM
We were able to get back and explain what went wrong to the customer. Your business is definitely wanted here and we apologize for the technical issue on our part.

It also wasn't the spam folder.

Great to see this is solved. Maybe you should get more people working on the Support team? It take 2 days just to receive a reply.

Don't see any hint on their website that they would be hiring. Also Bitcoin is a 24/7 thing, so Monday - Friday Central Time doesn't exactly cut it.

Yep. What sucks is that they are making hundreds out thousands of dollars...
1455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying bitcoin is a pain. on: April 06, 2014, 12:33:52 AM
That is why you mine!

And then make 0.0000001 BTC per day. Dont worry! In only 100 million days you will get a bitcoin!

If you buy asic, you can get the Bitcoin equivalent in about one year. But worse price than even localbitcoins.

Great necro posting.

But you was online and interested obv

Lol, Cheesy. Sorry if there was any confusion with what I wrote. I re-read my post and it does seem to be about trust, but my point was just to run a nice little giveaway just for fun.

Nah, it's all good. Pity I have to warn people about trust, this place wasn't so bad when it started - guess humanity took over and the scammers made this place home eh. Nice to see some good souls around here though Smiley

Yeah, the moderators are atleast trying their best. They should ban all ponzis since they are all pretty much scams.

I never did this for trust, I did it for fun. I see a lot of people get scammed by ponzis so I thought I should giveaway a tiny amount just for fun.

No problemo, just wanted to raise a point to help you realise that you should never be too trusting that's all. Not that anyone but you and me are reading this though lol. Too many long con scams over here.

1459  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Game of trust on: April 06, 2014, 12:13:16 AM
I wont throw away my account like that. I was saying to people like Wendigo that its just a little fun and I wont scam others. I havent so far and I dont intend to. Thats why I dont borrow money, or ask for any. This is one rare occasion where I ask for money (besides some auctions).

My point was that this game doesn't prove much in terms of trust. Theoretically if I offered you a $USD 500 mill loan with no means of tracking you/getting the funds back and no repercussions to failing to payback, how many people do you think would actually pay back the loan let alone with interest as intended.

Now I'm not accusing you of being a scammer, simply stating like loans for the purpose of trust - they don't really verify someone's trust.

I never did this for trust, I did it for fun. I see a lot of people get scammed by ponzis so I thought I should giveaway a tiny amount just for fun.
1460  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [Promo] Bitcointalk Forum Accounts for Sale - Not Hacked on: April 06, 2014, 12:05:28 AM
I'm offering 0.05BTC for senior member status account  Cool

Haha, it takes more than 1/2 a year to get sr member. You think someone is going to sell for $25?

You could probably get a Member account for that haha.

Probably not even that. Cheesy

Okay, 0.06BTC then. I'm already full member so can't pay so much...

There are already rates set there. You should PM the OP if you want to negotiate. In my case though, I wouldnt sell a SR.Member account for atleast 0.75 BTC.
