Got my $$$ as promised! Cant wait to see stunnas reaction. This will be very interesting!

I'd offer 0.01 BTC
No, sorry. I bought the domain for 0.05 thinking I could build something for it but got super busy.

So I was thinking if stunna will revise rate or will stick to it.?
Rates will be updated later today. What I'm interested in gauging is whether or not people are interested in getting paid a fixed rate based off activity or if they prefer post count. Whatever pays more.

no need to change. It's ok for one forum
I'm really considering discourse. It is a very clean and fast system.

The only thing im scared of is my accuracy going down. I guess it will improve over time. Don't be. A bit after the system was put in last year, theymos revealed in the donator board that an accuracy of roughly 60% was above average and that anyone reporting more than just the extremely obvious stuff would likely have an accuracy below 90%. People who have been local moderators for a board for some time (so they still have to report things outside of their jurisdiction) have an accuracy >95%, but <98%. Obviously, it's a private board, so I can't tell you the exact figures, but that's roughly what the figures were. The raw number of good reports is much more important than the accuracy, as long as the accuracy is reasonably high. Is reporting necessary for posts in the wrong section? Yes, we would greatly appreciate it. If it is, should I provide the correct subforum in the textbox Yes! You don't have to, but it really makes it easier for us since we only have to look at the post to verify that you were correct instead of figuring it out by reading it more closely. It saves several seconds per report. Not only that, but it shows your sense of judgement for where things belong. A person who states where a thread should go and is usually right about that is much more likely to be made a mod than someone who always just puts in "wrong forum". Thanks for the info! I look forward to helping you guys out!

So what if I have a total balance a 1mil coins in primedice? I know there's a tiny chance to do it but will you be able to pay out within 15 minutes as well?
Haha, no. There would be soooo many check to make sure that your wins were valid.

Yeah, its not going to pay your bills, but it does allow for some extra spending BTC to buy some cool thing that someone is selling, be it alpaca socks, or whatever else you find here.
Moderating here is definately not a bad task. You get caught up in nonsense from time to time, for trying to moderate a userbase that doesn't want to be moderated, but overall no complaints.
Awesome! What's the best way I can help? Report posts! If you can provide a recommended course of action in the report, all the better. Don't worry about being accurate all of the time, since only staff members have access to the more specific policies (this is to prevent internet-lawyering where people purposefully find loopholes in our policies). We know that you'll get better once you have access to that. Generally, the policies boil down to removing spam, removing off-topic posts, and moving thread to the correct board for their topic. Most notably, on-topic trolling is usually okay here, so don't report instances of that. If you find yourself receiving a bunch of reports flagged as bad, feel free to make a post on this board or contact a global moderator and we can let you know how to improve. Really, the only downside to being a moderator is dealing with the report queue. That's the only thing that actually feels like "work" (which I'm happy to deal with since we are paid). Finding things to moderate in the wild from threads that you're already reading is much more enjoyable. In fact, I originally became a global mod because I was reading most of the boards already and reporting issues I found. Theymos thought it would make more sense to cut out the middleman and give me the power to moderate everywhere directly. Convince us that it's better to cut out the middleman for you and you'll be made a moderator. The only thing im scared of is my accuracy going down. I guess it will improve over time. Is reporting necessary for posts in the wrong section? If it is, should I provide the correct subforum in the textbox

How much $$$ does theymos pay you?
It depends on the ad revenue, take the month's ad revenue X 0.25 and divide that by about 40. Active moderators get more than inactive ones, but that is a rough figure. So about 25% of the revenue spilt between about 40 mods. The forum gets about 18 btc per week for advertising. 18x0.25=4.5 4.5/40=0.1125 0.1125/7*31=0.4982142 So each mod gets around 0.5 btc per month? Like I said, it does depend on moderator activity, but that isn't a bad average. Ok, not a bad amount for moderating a forum. The $ per hour is pretty low, and it's awful compared to my day job... but it's a perk, gives me some spending BTC! Really? Being a mod seems pretty fun.

The question is:
could there be more mods, if they volunteer and abdicate the "mod wages"?
I would assume it's more a problem of finding people they trust, rather than fiscal issues. On forum sites, taking on a mods is usually a...dubious process. This. Money is not a factor in deciding whether we take on more moderators, since the pay is not supposed to be used as a living wage that can be depended on. The pay mainly exists so that there's less moderator turnover, because finding new mods that can be trusted is quite a bit of work. Well, that and to keep the mods from rioting over not seeing any part of the millions of dollars the forum has... How much $$$ does theymos pay you?

Hi
I need a bitcoin and a litecoin address please. Both are 7 digits long. Any chance?
If you want case sensitive, then no. It would take a few years. If you want case insensitive then PM me. It might or might not work. I'm not sure about lite coins. PM me about that as well.

I'm sorry if this is a redundant question but I just want to confirm - after the first month, we don't have to post in here every month to state our new starting post count, do we?
No it is automatic. No need to do anything other than post. Should I PM you on the 1st?

Hey! I have a useless computer lying around, so I have decided to let you guys put use to it! I will generate a vanity address up to six letters long (including the "1"). 4 digits will only take a minute, 5 digits might take a hour or so and may or may not be case insensitive, and 6 digits will take a night and will be case insensitive. Its a really old computer so the times may vary. All 6 digit address will be put to generate over night. Simply go to https://www.bitaddress.org. Press "Vanity Wallet" Generate a Key Pair. Save your part private key and PM me your part public key. I will PM you later with my part private key. Insert your part private key and my part private key and press enter. Import the generate private key! Donations appreciated. 1NaHtnamRZbuoeGH3DbgVS9cEE7ksnRjnM Addresses Generated so far:Prefix: 1maker Address: 1MAkERACHKXx8ntnPBSC9k5c2hTyLj1UL7 Prefix: 1jimbob Address: 1JiMBobwKMiFy9vfzsRYc1yZNmutVYMY2 Prefix: 1BTCs Address: 1BTCsqz2PpzA5cnFt3aXRA7hFfAoViwKue Prefix: 1STT Address: 1STToTYtsqPzCXUYBBFfmJGKxTVc1MbN5 Prefix: 1numis Address: 1NUMisPzUbZE12KRqd9DAtZGnoykFoHx1K Thanks!

Hello! I am the creator of http://altcointalk.org. I see a lot of people complaining about the design/looks of this forum. I was wondering if you guys wanted altcointalk to look similar to bitcointalk or different design. There are a few free and paid alternatives that we could use. Feel free to post here letting us know if you want us to keep SMF or switch to a different one. We are considering: Discourse (free) PHPBB (free) Xenforo (paid) Vbulletin (paid) If you have any other forum systems in mind, post below! Thanks!
