Yeah, the people you saw are very poor. But did you ever ask WHY they are poor? Despite 50 and more years of trillions poured in africa? Did you also notice how african warlords are very rich?

Oh, and does anyone know why it takes so long to sync? This is my 3rd day and syncing isnt over yet.. maybe there's something wrong with my pc?
That's because you don't know what "sync" means, it means it's downloading the whole blockchain, wich yes, takes days. The standard client isn't exactly meant to be used by normal people.

Please use a lightweight client like MultiBit https://multibit.org/ or Electrum, they don't need the blockchain.

Sending money in Africa= making local warlords richer.

Yes, the video is sad, that's why warlords keep their population starving, so people keep sending billions to them  Wink Or do someone really believe that after all the trillions sent in africa that they are "poor"? lol

Read some guides.
2147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-Qt taking forever to sync. Progress sometimes goes back. on: January 18, 2013, 08:02:11 PM
People are still attached to the fact that they must have an account to manage their money, lol. Like Matrix, people won't accept that it's just a prison

2150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the easiest way to exchange my bitcoins for USD ? on: January 18, 2013, 07:22:15 PM
Please note that selling bitcoins for paypal money require that you trust the buyer to not reverse the transaction! So PAY ATTENTION to who you sell your bitcoins! Otherwise tomorrow you will be here like "i sold my bitcoin to him and he reversed the paypal transaction!"
2151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nvidia GTX 580 / GTX 680 - 680 underperforming against 580 on: January 18, 2013, 07:20:43 PM
Nvidia motherboard? You can fit ATI or NVIDIA in any motherboard  Wink If you want to mine, you have to get an ATI but please note that in these days gpu mining isn't exactly profitable (yeah well, it's a waste of time  Smiley) and in the next month ASICs should be delivered and they will definitely kill gpu mining.
2152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-Qt taking forever to sync. Progress sometimes goes back. on: January 18, 2013, 07:18:11 PM
Yup, once you load the wallet in a client, it will automatically show your addresses
2153  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are bitcoins an e-currency? on: January 18, 2013, 07:17:37 PM
I consider bitcoin as digital gold. Is gold a currency? No.
2154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-Qt taking forever to sync. Progress sometimes goes back. on: January 18, 2013, 07:10:14 PM
Or multibit https://multibit.org/

how do I get the my bitcoin address, I mean, where can I find the combination of numbers that signify my bitcoin account client number?
What? You have no account, you have private keys. Each private key correspond to a public key with is used to receive bitcoin. (private key is used to send coins, so never share it)
2155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nvidia GTX 580 / GTX 680 - 680 underperforming against 580 on: January 18, 2013, 07:07:37 PM
I dunno so i can't help you but i can tell you that mining with nvidia is a bad bad bad idea, you are mining at a loss
2156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin drops to $4/BTC....... what would you do? on: January 18, 2013, 07:02:37 PM
The same thing we did when it was at 2$  Wink
2157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-Qt taking forever to sync. Progress sometimes goes back. on: January 18, 2013, 04:24:15 PM
And that is a thing that should be much much simpler but today is still hard to do.

Ok well, are you sure your file is named .conf and isn't .conf.txt?

On a side note.. do you know that you could just drag and drop wallet.dat here https://blockchain.info/it/wallet/import-wallet and be done?  Smiley
2158  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "Error loading blkindex.dat" 64 bit problem? on: January 17, 2013, 10:18:55 PM
I managed to solve the problem but I think I'm going to use that client anyway since the standard wallet wont sync with the network.

Thanks.
"syncing" means downloading the whole blockchain wich take like 30 or more hours. So yes, using a lightweight client is a very good idea.  Cheesy
2159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin slow to download the block chain? on: January 17, 2013, 10:18:16 PM
Use a lightweight client like multibit

Yes it is very slow and yes it is a problem and that's why they are working on a new database system wich will make downloading the blocks much much faster.  This said, use lightweight clients
2160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new bitcoin miner on: January 17, 2013, 12:53:54 PM
If it's closed source then it's suspect.
