WTF people, are you really talking casually about an assassination market and how you could operate one? What the hell is wrong with you?
Look, I accept the fact that any anonymizable currency (both bitcoin and fiat notes) can be used for criminal things, there is little I can do about that, and I think the benefits of bitcoin far outweigh the disadvantages. But you are talking about providing an infrastructure for these things like it is OK.

gox trade lag = 12 minutes

Bitcoin's network can only support transferring 500 million USD every hour (as that is how long confirmations take). This means that if just one million people tried to buy something worth $500 each, the network would crumble. This is why we need to focus on increasing the monetary base, as that is healthier for the Bitcoin economy.
Could you explain this?

No man, I think he is just warning people not to get too crazy.

I know it hasn't been that long ago, but this epic price action just deserves this repost ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) : (engine is sputtering a little bit atm though) I'm still on board! Of course, who else could add surfing bulls to our intergalactic space maps?

Aand we have lift-off again. That didn't take long...
|
|
|
Everyone should note that the climb is steady, but on an exponential axis. These 10% moves in a day just look more dramatic when we are at $40 than when we were at $20.
Nah, I was blown away by the rocket towards (and from) $16, despite being very bullish at that time.
|
|
|
But why the velocity is down is much more difficult to analyze. I think it is largely due to money concentration caued by technology advance and globalization/ and less and less future demand
or.... it is a natural phenomenon whenever money accumulates with a few very rich. They just can't spent fast enough, as the remaining 99.9% would. Or people feel uncertain about being fired in a bad economy, thus logically save more for a rainy day...

"buy bitcoin" looks better ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

too bad, I would have signed up for this asap. I actually already donated to charity in the past and suggested they take bitcoins in the future. Didn't work out though.

I do know someone that max'd their credit cards to buy a while back...it worked out all right for them, but I can't recommend it due to the fact that I would rather not get bludgeoned to death by a hobo in a few months.
LMAO ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Lebing , you are doing it wrong, your post title should be "bitcoin won't hit $100 this year" ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Thanks proudhon. I was wondering what you were going to say. And yes, that is how I feel. Please be merciful because I know that this is a bad idea.
Then why are you doing it? Look, I can't see into the future, it's possible that this could be the smartest thing you ever did. But on the other hand, isn't the fact that you want to do this now, even when you say "I know it is stupid, but I want to do it anyway" evidence for the fact that you are letting your emotions make this decision for you? I mean, I know there are arguments pro and contra, but what is actually making the decision for you? Is it a greed-joy-induced high, or are you feeling sober? From my short personal experience in silver, I have learned that crazy gains can stop the bloodflow to your brains and end badly (I overleveraged too much thinking I could be out before the bubblepop, losing all my previous gains and then some). My 2 cents, I am bullish on BTC, this could make you rich, but be honest to yourself about the true motivators and try to really think through (feel it) what speculative failure would do to your life. Then decide if you think it is worth the risk.
