Dude, I answered.
It is incorrect according to an official source. Try again. It was in 2011. bitcoincharts.com charts are incorrect? Whatever, count me out. February 9, 2011 ~ Bitcoin reached parity with the US dollar, touching $1 per BTC at MtGox. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/HistoryYour question wasn't "when did it reach $1 for the first time"

peak quoted price was 266 ...230 may have been the opening using ohlcv( o)pen (h)igh ( l)ow (c)lose (v)olume... just sayin' -source www.clarkmoody.commakes sense. The close was $230 tho which enabled people for trading. I am sticking with $230 as the high trade/exchange point. Your source is fine tho, it did hit $266. Common people.. Someone needs to know the answer to this: Question is LIVE Question #3 ~ Which month, day, and year valued 1.0 BTC at $1.00 USD at MTGOX? Dude, I answered.

Thats the big truth. Noone understands. I do.
Awesome, I didn't know I was talking to a super-genius, my apologies, I'll never question your opinions again ! These forums are great fun . Yes, when irony is the last resort, it trully is funny. It's true, I couldn't deal with your superior argumentation or mastery of the english language, so I resorted to humor as an easy escape. English language is just for people. Ancient Greek, is for us. I m sorry. So not only are you a super-genius, but you are Greek god now? Do you happen to bunk with rpietila?

Sorry but trezor is not a wallet it is simply a way to store your bitcoins safely. A wallet for me is a single purpose device that you can use to safely send coins to other wallets when you are connected to the internet.
All hardware wallets secure both the storage of bitcoins and the creation of transactions (i.e. check that the amount & addresses have not be changed on the fly by malware). Trezor does that, BitSafe does that, we do that (assisted a bit) - you can check a more or less up to date list of wallets here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Hardware_walletSorry but I can't any keyboard on the trezor to type the amount of money you want to send nor do I see any wireless capability. Trezor is only for techie people not the average joe. dude, GTFO !

People that claim that bitcoin will never do X, have been proven wrong quite some times before. Can you give a good argument why bitcoin will never reach $1000?
|
|

Great find! I like how the OP worded the title: "When will Bitcoin hit 1000$ ?" because it'll get there, it's just fun to speculate the when. Yes, I believe this as well. But honestly from a contrarian point of view, it's a bit unsettling to see how many people believe that bitcoin will keep rising, and there will be a next bubble coming up. 90% of the "bears" on the forums are actually mid-term bears but long-term bulls.

Edit: And sure, if gold was found 4 years ago it would be a godawful store of value. Worse than it is today. What do *you* consider a good store of value, so we can start somewhere? Honest question.
Yeah, I totally disagree with the newfound gold thing, but whatever. What I find a good store of value? Well, I guess a perfect store of value doesn't exist, people can always want or not want certain stuff in the future, production processes can always suddenly become a lot more efficient etc. . Honestly, if bitcoin works out and there is no competitor to replace it, I would say it is has the properties to be the best store of value so far, although we are far too early for it perform that function reliable. The best ones I can think of now are gold, oil/gasoline, silver, alcohol, wood, base metals, tobacco, salt .... What is your definition/example of a store of value?
|
|
|
Bitcoin hasn't even existed for 5 years.
Then how could it be a great store of value?@! I think we might have had this discussion before. If gold had been discovered 4 years ago, you would say that it didn't have the properties to serve as a store of value? (or whatever else you believe is a store of value, since you don't seem to think gold functions as one)
|
|
|
Apparently people view "store of value" differently. Some appear to look at it as "low volatility". I think it means " the expected value after a long period of time is not lower than the current value".

Not worried at all during the fork, I bought a lot in fact.
Yeah, I fucked up during the fork, thought it would prematurely pop the bubble. Got really bullish when that didn't happen though.

Wait at 1:25 does he say that a bitcoin is worth $80,000 or am I hearing something wrong? Now that you mention it, it sounds that way . Damn, I wish I was around in the studio at that time, would have gladly sold him a bitcoin or two . EDIT: he might have meant "if a bitcoin becomes worth $80k, you can see how much those 5000 bitcoins would be worth".

I just don't understand it, millions of dollars are invested in the development of bitcoin related stuff everyday but a cheap reliable hardware wallet which is the only thing that could and will bring bitcoin to the masses is just none existant!
Just tell me why ? I really want to know!
http://www.bitcointrezor.com/eshop/Have some patience. I believe there is another hardware wallet that is already available. If you think I am right please donate cause I need cash to finance my studies = 17P5bJQU1hjHkKPZRxbuZCLJy771PMQFux
Wait, wut? You want people to give you money because you are demanding certain services/products to exist for bitcoins? Hahaha, everybody on this forum should be a millionaire then .
