I hope it goes to 500 buy buy buy buy buy.

Yeah... if it touches 500, then I'm also buying a ton.

That's what I said last time it dipped below 500 but the chance came and went just as quick... didn't get to buy then until price was back up past 650.. so i feel pretty safe buying around current price

Hmm... Buying with localbitcoins can be tricky.

lol, BITCOIN BANNED IN RUSSIA IN 1917

Yeah... and Satoshi was declared as an enemy of the labourers and the proletariat. He was sent to the gulag.
21423  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014 02 10] SMH - mt-gox-exchange-closes-indefinitely on: February 10, 2014, 08:06:13 AM
I don't understand the relation between the Mt Gox exchange, which is based in Japan and the Russian prosecutor's office.
21424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox's DEATH - Bitcoin headed towards darkness? on: February 10, 2014, 08:04:28 AM
What will happen to those whose money is stuck in Gox accounts?
21425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian authorities say Bitcoin illegal on: February 10, 2014, 08:03:32 AM
does this effect btc-e??

They shifted to Bulgaria before the ban came in place. But none of their support staff speaks Bulgarian. They only communicate in Russian and in some cases English.
21426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Western Union DEAD in the Water !!! on: February 10, 2014, 08:01:40 AM
WU normally charges 10-15% commission for international remittance. Soon normal people will dump their service.
21427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vladimir Club Junior Members on: February 10, 2014, 07:58:43 AM
The Vladimir club is the membership of the elite few Bitcoiners with 21 or more whole coins. There must be a membership level for those only able to attain 21 million Satoshis.

Weren't you supposed to own at least 2100 coins to be part of Vladimir club ? At least that's what I remember

OMG... then less than 100 individuals can become members, considering that many own more than 10K coins.

BTW... who is Vladimir?

I'm glad they got this dangerous Bitcoin seller off the streets.

Endangering our children with his private currency sales at the Starbucks.

For the bankers and the politicians whom they sponsor, catching bitcoin sellers seems to be the top priority.
21430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the maximum amount of bitcoins you ever holded? on: February 10, 2014, 02:39:22 AM
I had around 800 once.

once

Damn, but you lost them? Or gambled them away?

Bought $10k worth at $17/BTC in June 2011 before the slow decline. I did some buying and selling to get it up to 800 as the price fell below $10/BTC.

Then it kept falling, my goal was 1000 BTC. So I put it all on Bitcoinica, where I could short the price. My biggest short was when it was at $4/BTC and falling, I was ready to stop the short at $3.50 but it fell to $3.60 then climbed over $4.50 squeezing me out. I lost about 300 BTC on that one short.

It seemed sketchy that each of my big shorts was squeezed out just before I could make money so I pulled my 400 BTC out of Bitcoinica. A week later they were "hacked".

I needed money for a downpayment on a house from every money source I could come up with in 2012 and sold it all at $11/BTC.

So you don't have any coins now?
21431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the maximum amount of bitcoins you ever held? on: February 09, 2014, 02:57:43 PM
A bit more than 0.1 Wink

Personally I believe that everyone (i.e, us the early adopters) should own at least 1.00 BCT. With the exchange rate going at $675, it is not hard to buy one. Trust me, you'll be grateful when BTC crosses the 1 million mark.
21432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the maximum amount of bitcoins you ever holded? on: February 08, 2014, 06:03:08 AM
I had around 50... but then lost half of them in gambling.

F***ng FBI and their sting operations. I hope these lowlifes will burn in hell for ever.
21434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Forecast for the future of the Bitcoin on: February 08, 2014, 05:57:30 AM
Bitcoin feature is very bright. The price may reach $10000 with in two three years.

I'd say that we'll hit the $10K mark by the end of this year!!!
21435  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-07] Bitcoin Fever Is Spreading into Mainstream on: February 08, 2014, 05:55:46 AM
BTC dipped by 30% in 48 hours. If incidents such as these are common, then BTC will never become mainstream.
21436  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Florida Targets High-Dollar Bitcoin Exchangers on: February 08, 2014, 05:54:54 AM
I don't understand. Are there any high-dollar BTC exchanges which are based in FL? I don't think there are any.

I don't think he will ever step out of US prisons in his lifetime. Sad.
21438  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-07] CNBC: Bitcoin plummets 20% after major exchange halts withdrawals on: February 08, 2014, 05:53:32 AM
Actually BTC dipped by more than 30%. From $980 to $680 in Gox.

The irony of Apple in the 21st century is surely that they produced OSX from open source software with liberal licensing, then went on to make the most restrictive platform with it.

Here's another stalwart contender for "The irony of Apple" (in case you missed it):

Apple is surviving just because of the biased US court judgments. Else Samsung would have sweeped the floor with them.

You know what'd be really cool? A libertarian gay female atheist as president.

Libertarian and Gay is very rare.... and Libertarian females are rarer still...
