Received everything! A couple of the coins were in improper fitting air-tites, but no worries, gave me a chance to take them out of their shells and look at them up close. Very nice indeed. The drawing and personalized COA were fun and brought a smile to my face. I am thinking about possibly gluing 2 of the coins down into that COA, those groves fit the coins perfectly (idk if you already know that or not).

Yeah I do sell these at a $ rate, I have been including a lot of extras with peoples when they ordered these are about $8 a piece before shipping which was my original realistic goal when I started with the plastic ones, which if you can recall or not where made with a plastic printer but I wanted them to be more cost effective than purchasing a satori coin without shipping. I havn't come close to selling out and I would like to be producing these by the hundreds if there was enough interest. There are maybe 30-40 coins left with engravings on them but all of the others after that will have a clear back. I think the cleaner design will appeal to more. Sounds good and that is understandable. I can definitely see more of an appeal to the ones with a clear back. Would love to see some of them. When do you estimate to have those ready to ship out? You could try and pair these ones with the clear back ones, perhaps giving you a greater success in selling out. Place an order and find out! I gave Shiabnu the first bits of a few coins I received and than he sent me the full list of 10 that I purchased, he said that he saved the public addresses in groups of 10 by order so depending on how he releases it I guess he could tell what people got the coins if he wanted to. |

I have called Casascius coins over priced. Kialara bars are nice and I think Max did a great job on them, but that doesn't mean the secondary can't get over priced on them... Many collectibles have times where the prices go wild.
Then the next question would be, was that comment necessary? Should I go into every Casascius sale/auction and mention that they have overpriced and quote you as well? Even though I may or may not think that they are, I still avoid doing that (and have done it at least *once*). Is you comment asking if it was necessary, necessary? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, you are all beating a dead horse, is this going to drag on forever? |
