I have noticed a lot of people try and influence new members of the crypto world to specific coins. This is okay I suppose but it doesn't give people a lot of oppotunity to figure out on their own that there are a lot of weird coins on the market.
Anyone that I have introduced to crypto I have taught them how to mine and that owning bitcoin is the ultimate aim, if they the choose to mine pizzacoin or whatever it's down to them.
Has anyone thougt about wat would happen to the 'better coins' if all the little/new coins didn't take any of the network? The coins I would like would surely become to hard to small miners ( Like me ) to mine.
I think having all these coins on the market can be a good thing, the potheads will probably mine/but some POTcoin as this is what appeals to them.
I Min'e a few old school coins as I have been around for a while.
I think trying to influence people or saying coins are rubbish is the wrong way to go. Perhaps taking time to teach people about these coins and that most of them are direct copies of other coins will help.

Viperbass, are you going to organise the IPO if needed? I don't see any real need for captainhook to get involved as I'm sure he is working on other things to do with iCoin
Hey Lord, I will organise the IPO but I don't sit with enough of the premine to action it, Captainhook is curently away and will have to wait for his return to get this IPO plan in place. I do have around 25000 of the premine I can give away for this IPO, the rest will then need to go to the video production team that is currently doing a full blown production video for iCoin. We really excited about this project. We do have time as we still waiting feedback from Moolah, but please can the community press along with voting. All it takes is 10 people voting 5 times a day and we will climb the ladder incredibly fast. In order to vote you will need to make at least 1 trade of any size. The safest trade to make is ltc/btc and vice versa. We always appreciate the support iCoin gets from the community and I do feel Mintpal will be a GREAT exchange to trade iCoin on. There we go folks, lets start with voting on mintpal directly. I will show my support and vote every hour on sunday  |

Who needs television for entertainment, this is fantastic I too have coins that I might not see again. To me this is something we surely have to accept, without regulation this is always going to happen, with regulation it would just become a glorified paypal. I am happy to wait patiently until I know one way or another if the coins will be returned. Most of my coins are in my wallets thankfully. |

I would like to ask the community a serious question.
How would you feel about doing a IPO for Mintpal votes? We work out a fair price for iCoin and people put in btc and show us the proof of transaction and take it from there.
We have a lot of faith that Mintpal is going to be a extremely successful exchange. Please can we discuss this option, it will also help us get rid of the premine.
However we are still waiting feedback from Moolah regarding there exchange, if we get accepted then the above option won't be explored as we want most of our users to trade iCoin
on there with the introduction of fiat/iCoin pairings.
As long as it's coordinated correctly then I don't see why not. That said Moolah does look very good. The fiat/iCoin would welcome more investment surely |

I went to sleep thinking, yes! I'll buy some more at 500 tomorrow, woke up and its now at 3000, damn sleep!!!!! DAMN SLEEP!!!! Happy Thursday folks But it's still in range from 600 to 900 satoshi on Poloniex. I agree with one man, who say that trading volume is very low now. So it's not correct to say that this price is stable. Last week Net Hashrate was around 100-200 MH/s. So the price was 1000-2000 satoshi. Yesterday Hashrate fall down to 50 MH/s, price falled down a bit. But as we can see with other coins, there's a chance, that if mining iCoin can become mainstream, we can see Hashrate from 1 GH/s to 10 GH/s... Then if we will see stable 500 MH/s, after that we will see 5000 satoshi or smth around it. This is my take on the whole situation. The reason the volume is low is because people who believe in iCoin don't want to sell at these prices, also I have to agree with bluestreet about coinmarket.io it really fucked iCoin over as most of iCoin buyers were on that exchange. Now we have very nervous buyers! Should iCoin get onto Moolah like speedminer suggested I will personally buy from that exchange even though I have btc stuck on coinmarket.io still. I just don't trust the other exchanges iCoin is on, if it was up to me I would remove iCoin from certain exchanges and get all buyers and sellers onto 2 or 3 great exchanges like Moolah will be. I have only ever used Crytpsy and BTC-E so would be unfair to comment on the others, cryptorush seems good but as mentioned before by another user, low trading volumes don't help. Poloniex appears very good from the outside. |

Not interested in making a quick buck as I have no intention of selling Just trying to pick up what I can at cheap prices, also doing this with NET I have been voting on mintpal and the exchanges seems better than cryptorush ( Still annoyed about how some of the orderes get ignored ) I am very nervous about putting my coins on to anything other than cryptsy at the moment ( never had any issues wit this exchange), Although I don't like the fact there are so many coins out there. That said, it looks like it's not going to change so I'll just buy up what I can and stick to old school coins I think ( Except iCoin of course ) LP |

Yes the community is great. The best part about NETCOIN is first off its name, its ZERO pre-mined that the coin does not have a "theme" its not just to buy coffee, buy GPU, its not about an iOS game, or people of Auroraland, neight is it tied to an internet MEME or Mr. Satoshi. Its basically a COIN to do transactions online. PERIOD. No colors, themes etc attached to it. That's one thing I like about it, sadly other members of the public like the hype about a coin with a dog on it or a coin for a specific country. I will carry on mining NET as part of my coins of choice. |
