bytecoin is easily mineable at the moment, but there is loads of controversy on that coin... however the devs are doing a good job, though they are slow and not transparent

stay away from burst. its flawed and can be exploited via NXT exploits. there is no scalability of the network, and all the people who had any technical understanding and capability had left the project. the community is split apart and this coin is slowly dying.
id say go for sia and storj/maidsafe

burstcoin is flawed. and hacked.
Someone is caching the passwords from wallets hosted by burstnation.
I tested two accounts only logged on to them there.
both of them got funds removed, and more to that, the second one got assets transfered.
Whoever owns this: BURST-5BGX-C7EA-A6ET-BAQCD is a thief
currently has over a million in burst and probably every asset there is.
DUMP YOUR COINS AND RUN AWAY. BURST NEEDS TO BE REBUILT FROM GROUND UP!!!
ITS SIMPLY NOT SAFE!!!
Do not confuse dishonest practices by certain elements of the community to be an indication that it is a flaw within BURST. Join Burst discord and be at the forefront of the discussion - much faster info than here. Yes it is true, someone is stealing from burstnation - do not use BN wallets, also do not visit BN site if you got a local wallet running as there is indication that the site is infected. Can anybody tell me if one should use Burstcoin-fuseburst-1.2.8-v4 or the 1.2.9b wallet at the moment? I want to start mining, but cant get past downloading blockchain. If I will successfully download blockchain in beta 1.2.9b, can I copy it's file to the 1.2.8-v4?
I can not condone a client that can moderate the network which 1.2.8-v4 seems to be doing. It has blacklist setttings. Even if the intentions are good that client should never have reached the public view. Dawallet has stated that we no longer should be using 1.2.9b since it has served its purpose. I sugest you go with muhatzgs version 1.2.8mu that can be found compiled here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7C2w7UN4dvRRGhadUdmN3QxV00/view?usp=sharingHis sourcecoude is available here: https://github.com/muhatzg/burstcoin/releases/tag/1.2.8muHeh, I guess it is OK to fork an entire chain to fix the DAO, but it is not OK to blacklist a malicious actor on the network. Who would've figured ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Pardon my sarcasm but here is no substantial difference between these two actions. I am aware that it is against some people's beliefs on what a decentralized network should be, but in this case I do not think another option existed. Especially in such a short term. In my opinion a blacklist does not solve the issue. Attacker can change wallet and continue (which we already have seen). maybe the attacker makes 300 wallets with 1000burst each instead. a blacklist in this case only opens up for abuse. Mu wallet does not fork the chain only discards unconfimed transactions similar to dawallets 1.2.9b. No, blacklist does not solve the issue permanently. However, since messaging is a built in function of the wallet - there is no simple permanent "fix", only compromises. The Alias of that wallet address is "H" Dont think it takes a genius to point to haitch

to the ones that like to quote massive posts:
get a life. your character count is not affected by the quoted text. come up with something fucking useful to say or shut the fuck up. this way of distributing coins is retarded. all it helps create is spam posts and shit quality info.
good luck. I stopped mining, because idiots that post on the forum for the sake of posting get more coins than me mining the coin.
without normal distribution model this will be in the hands of few and dumped on first sight of an exchange

ok, so who is in charge of the code now and who will be fixing all this?

Here is another way to look at it:
15,000,000 NVO / 3055.120324 BTC = 4,909.79 NVO/BTC
You get 4,909.79 NVO per each 1 BTC invested.
OK... I invested 0,042411 BTC, then 0,01500814 and 400xrp at what it seems now 0,00010822 per xrp and got a measly 212NVST, not even NVOT! 400xrp @ 0,00010822 = 0,043288 BTC So the breakdown is: 0,042411 + 0,01500814 + 0,043288 = 0,10070714 BTC total invested. My transaction reward is: 212.52945797 NVST Can anyone please elaborate as to what the fuk? I searched and found what NVST is: i think the name of tokens are changed (a troll registered the tokens with the previous name and wanted money)
from slack : "NVST is the NVO token name, and NVSX is the secondary token name".
so basically
NVOT ---) NVST NVOS ---) NVSX
i have tought about NVO name, in my prospective NUO (can be spelled also like new in english "NEWo") is better
NUOT NUOS
Aha. Ok. My point was - I am missing nearly half of the tokens if 1 btc = 4,900 "NVST" I was under the impression, that all altcoin transactions will be linked to the registered bitcoin address? I just feel very much fucked over with this. invested 260eur ( 0,10070714 BTC total) at the time and the return is 212 x what i now see is $0.51?? how is this possible that at the time of release i lose half of the value already?? its not being traded anywhere, right?

I sent the btc from my trezor wallet, now wondering if I will receive the tokens or not ;S

ICO initiators should obviously have noted that we need to send from a counterwallet in order to be able to actually use the tokens.
Options should be offered in order to obtain the tokens without needing to import private keys to a wallet that is unable to do so
it was actually several times I'm not really upset about it, but tell me, where on the instructions is it mentioned? In fact, scrolling through it mentions importing private keys to counterwallet or NVOT wallet multiple times. If you are sending Bitcoin, Do not send from an exchange, pool or most online wallets and services, as you don’t control private keys. You will lose NVOT.
1. In the Personal bitcoin address section, submit a bitcoin address you control private keys. This is mainly used for depositing with altcoins. If you send with Bitcoin, NVOT will be sent to the address you used to send Bitcoin. So if you deposit twice with Bitcoin using two different addresses each time, NVOT will be sent separately to those two addresses.
2. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to use for deposit, copy address and send funds.
3. Wait until crowdsale is over for NVOT to be sent out to your address submitted in Personal bitcoin address section if sent using altcoins.
There is only 1 Bitcoin address for all participations, whereas each participant gets an unique address for depositing with altcoins with a balance checker. A normal bitcoin wallet is fine for holding NVOT, but you won’t be able to “see” and “send” the NVOT unless you are using a CounterWallet. Later, NVO wallet will also support NVOT, so you can send or import private keys.
If you are unsure on which bitcoin wallet to use, you can send Bitcoins from Copay, or JAXX, or Exodus. These wallets are more user friendly for new users. You can also use the links listed in Personal bitcoin address section. you'll get your tokens, you just can't move them unless you use counterwallet or wait till the NVO wallet will be able to import privkeys, it was mentioned in this thread several times Haha, you must be a libertarian. That thought process suggest psychopathic tendencies. They made a mistake but it was their obligation to inform their investors. Not on "this thread." oh man, you wouldn't last a day as a psychologist.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.msg19719945#msg19719945https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.msg19729745#msg19729745https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.msg19735657#msg19735657I believe it was said in the instructions and most of the guides on how to invest as well that you've got to use counterparty You can use these websites to generate a bitcoin keypairs : walletgenerator bitaddress coinb.in counterwallet Electrum Bitcoin corewhat if i access my trezor via electrum? will that work?
