2181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price motivation benchmark: on: May 23, 2023, 07:24:49 PM
There are investors that will argue that they're got a better performing portfolio if they've got more altcoins than Bitcoin. And here we are that has got more Bitcoin on it and there's no one to stop us and can't convince us to diversify that much. I see people that are too much diversifying because they think that's the wisest thing to do but then, they're hit more by market's volatility. Unlike if you're into Bitcoin-only, you'll just have to chill and wait until the market is being dependent on it because of the cycle, it requires more patience than of the altcoins.
2182  Economy / Exchanges / Re: With these acts, do we still believe in Centralized Exchanges? on: May 23, 2023, 12:27:18 PM
You don't have to trust them, just use them whenever you're in need of their service. You don't keep deposits there as well, so when you trade and wants to withdraw then take it out immediately when you're done doing your trades there. It doesn't have to be big or small amount but just use them as is since they're exchangers. Whether you've got or no problem with them at all and either centralized or decentralized, the lesson from these incidents is that they're just tools for exchanging crypto<->fiat.
2183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 23, 2023, 09:08:42 AM
I wonder how the final is going to be played out between the Nuggets and Miami Heat. Both of them are showing really good consistency and also performing really well. Almost all of the players in both teams are currently performing very well and consistently. I don't think there is actually any doubt about Miami Heat getting into the finals. After all, they are only one game away to making sure that they are going to perform in the finals. They will have to win one out of 4. That is going to put things heavily in their favour. Smiley
We will see once both of them is already there. Right now, we just have to wait for the other team to qualify and that's the Heat which has a high chance that they'll end their series against Celtics by tomorrow. Both teams didn't get any lose from the semis(conference finals) and have performed very well. While Heat has the history of getting in and out in the finals, the Denver Nuggets is gonna get in for the first time in history. They may be lack of experience on that bracket but sure they like challenges. If ever the Heat finishes the game by tomorrow and we're already in the finals, I'm more optimistic with Heat's roster because of these undrafted boys.
2184  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which crypto payment processor do you use for your business? on: May 22, 2023, 11:22:55 PM
This thread isn't about the discussion that you've set OP but about the service that you represent. I guess it's better if you just made this thread as an announcement thread instead of making it look like as a discussion but ends up you want to draw people's attention to coinremitter. Well, as obvious as your username and being a representative of them.
2185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The unforseen and likely occurrence in the Bitcoin space on: May 22, 2023, 09:44:50 PM
AFAIK, with that time satoshi said that there might be the biggest transaction or no transaction at all.

What type of unforeseen situation are you talking about?
For altcoins, I think scammers have already started by creating fake tokens to scam investors who believe in them, and I am sure the scammers are trying everything possible to develop their own ways as the technology is advancing.
The first thing that I've thought of are the quantum computers and it's said that this is going be able to easily conquer the blockchains and can attack them in split seconds. That's what I've understood from the speculations that I've read all about it. But then, it's gonna be a long way to go until an attack manages to successfully penetrate a blockchain that's been fully secured through POW and has got a lot of layers of security unlike those POS algo by other altcoins.
2186  Economy / Economics / Re: Bhutan a small nation to bet on Crypto for Funding's. on: May 22, 2023, 06:17:17 PM
It's a good and green country and if there have been invitation to come to them and have those mining and data centers to be established, there are probably some decent and inevitable offers that would be taken by those companies.

^ When I saw the images of their kingdom, I actually picture in my mind that the people in the country are all monks. But it couldn't be true after all they desire to be financially rich in Bitcoin.
I have been amused by this country. It's like a low key and developing country but tourists aren't that much welcomed because of how high the entrance fee they're asking and this is based on some travel vloggers that I've watched. And with that, they could waive those fees and give incentives for those companies that will adhere to their close call.

Agoradesk campaign is now full again.

Welcome!

There's something going on with Bettercallraul campaign and Royse decided to halt the campaign indefinitely. The team made it look that they've been seized just as how the known CM has been seized through their website.

Please remove the signature, the campaign is on hold until I have an update from the team. [...]

2188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are some common challenges in bitcoin;and how can they be addressed? on: May 22, 2023, 10:53:06 AM
One challenge that has been seen and also been mentioned by some about Bitcoin is about connectivity. There's no solution for those that have been in remote areas and they're not versed with using the technology. At least, this is the very one thing that Bitcoin can be said of challenging. There's solution about satellite connectivity but devices and even the connection itself won't cost just a penny but it's more than that.

And one other challenge about still, the most common about many people that are still not yet educated about Bitcoin. The resolution on this one is to keep them informed about Bitcoin but then there goes the other challenge that will made from there, and that's when you're educating the wrong people that are not eager on learning on it as it seems you're wasting your vocals, time and efforts on them.
2189  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina raises interest rate to 97% as it struggles to tackle inflation on: May 21, 2023, 11:25:18 PM
It's like a band aid solution for most countries but still see them getting that inevitable high inflation rate. But at least with this action, the slowing down of inflation is effective as much as we've seen so these countries got great economists and that's how they come up with such solution. I'm no economists and with such, there's always the domino effect for doing so. We may see the short term solution of increasing interest rates but it won't be as effective as it is in the long term so they have to come up with other solutions wherein, that should have been planned while the effect of interest rates is still there. With what I am seeing, it is the people that are trying to look for solutions on their own like going and working abroad and have that remittances sent to their left relatives.
2190  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Effects of Binance Changing Wallet Addresses on: May 21, 2023, 07:50:22 PM
They've said that if some of these users didn't mind of this update, they won't lose their funds upon sending there but they need to coordinate to them in able for them to get that fund. So, that's another process for them to do and that's why it's gonna force everyone to obey and be obligated of this update.
I won't be surprised if they started charging fees to 'correct' the mistake of depositing to the old address later on.
Yeah, that's possible to happen and it's like going to give the users an "expedite" process for those that will pay the fee.

I don't know why anyone would continue using the old address after they notify them either, it's kinda stupid to rely on their generosity to recover their funds. Regardless of what platform you use, following their latest updates and rules is kinda required if you want to keep using them without any problems.
Well, there have been people keeping their addresses written and saved somewhere else because it's no hassle and if someone asks them, they'll just have to copy and paste it back to them not requiring them to log in to their Binance accounts. And the worse part, they ignore such updates as if they're just like the typical login notifications that we get through our emails and account dashboards. There really are those type of people that don't really verse themselves into updates, I even see people didn't withdraw funds from those closed platforms be it a casino or an exchange and other services despite receiving the notification closure several months away from the actual date.
2191  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Effects of Binance Changing Wallet Addresses on: May 21, 2023, 12:49:05 PM
Addresses don't expire, they just want to use that term so that users will be quick into thinking that this change should be remembered by everyone and it should be taken seriously. There's no negative impact to it but remember that even Binance, centralized exchanges are by no chance of being safe at most times. They've said that if some of these users didn't mind of this update, they won't lose their funds upon sending there but they need to coordinate to them in able for them to get that fund. So, that's another process for them to do and that's why it's gonna force everyone to obey and be obligated of this update. It's not actually a big thing even if they change addresses for the active users.
2192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin or cryptocurrency offer loan service? on: May 21, 2023, 10:14:15 AM
I think OP is asking does bitcoin provide lending services like banks or not. He is not looking for services from organizations or individuals that use bitcoin for lending, which is completely different. If you want to borrow through these institutions, it is no different from a bank, in that case, I would go to the bank and borrow money from them and buy as many bitcoins as I want. Why borrow from these unreliable centralized institutions?

Centralized exchange which offer loan service is asking a valid and liquid collateral, they ask top altcoins as the collateral.

I think @OP is asking if he can get money (Bitcoin or altcoins) where he don't need to give money (Bitcoin or altcoins) as the collateral, just like banks or centralized institutions where they only ask KYC, vehicle document or house/land certificate.

He didn't specify it so it's up to him and know it on his own if the example that I've given suits the need he wants to have for taking a loan. But I am sure that he's aware that when he takes a loan, there's for sure a collateral that he needs to have and yes, a collateral that should be liquid and not just random collateral that the exchange won't agree. But we know that if someone who wants to take a loan but doesn't have any collateral to give and there's a possibility that he'll just default it. Let's just conclude it to him and to those that are thinking of the same if ever that's the case, that lending in crypto and lending in the bank is not entirely different at all.
2193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin or cryptocurrency offer loan service? on: May 20, 2023, 11:57:06 PM
does Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies or exchange offer loan service?
If yes, what is some criteria that may be required?
For exchanges - yes, they do. Just check out Binance for this: https://www.binance.com/en/loan
All details are already there but this has to be specific borrowing to be used on their own platform and for you to trade into their all types of market. Read the FAQ from there.
OKX has also that loan feature: https://www.okx.com/loan

Aside from that, we've got the Lending section of the forum and there have been reputable people that are allowing people to take loans from them. If you're known and you ask to have a no-collateral loan and they agree, they'll grant you. But for the majority, there should be a collateral that you can place on and it should be more than the value of what you're borrowing.

2194  Economy / Economics / Re: When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life. on: May 20, 2023, 10:45:23 PM
This is the rat race and that's why we're just like living day to day just to survive and have bare minimum. As long as there's no change, we'd be on this cage forever. Taking a step to change is a good start if you've discovered something that will push you out of 9-5 jobs. You can have some skills that will make you work freely anytime you wish for. We're in the digital and gig economy where it has been possible plus the understanding to Bitcoin and the crypto market.

Do you believe that there's a true way to escape this vicious cycle, or are we doomed to live like this forever? Telling me that my minor savings in Bitcoin are going to settle me for the rest of my life isn't going to cut it, because the majority of us won't ever have enough Bitcoin to retire.
It's possible but it varies depending on our skills and passion. Don't think that we're doomed for that forever unless you've already accepted your path and that's like to live like that way forever.

Are you satisfied with this way of life, or would you prefer to live a different way?
I am satisfied with my life for now but that doesn't stop me for wishing and aiming for now.

What would you like to change and how? Personally, I'm clueless and not satisfied with the idea of spending the rest of my life like this.
Ask yourself what's your passion and purpose in life and maybe from there, you'll see some opportunities that would be your ticket to a life changing opportunity. But majority of us already have seen that with Bitcoin but at least for you, there could be something else.
2195  Economy / Economics / Re: Not all banks are going bust. on: May 20, 2023, 05:50:42 PM
How I wish that my bank will also gives me that incentive.

This is the first time I am learning about a bank like Nationwide that operates as if its customers are shareholders. It is also interesting to know that they abide fully by the banking laws.
It's rare to see that a bank is like this. Most of the banks wouldn't care about their customers unless you're a big time depositor, loaner and good payer to them.

If all banks operate this way, there will be fewer bank failures.
It's not guaranteed that even other banks follow the same thing and procedure but, this is a desirable strategy for many banks that we use.
2196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need guides from the community? on: May 20, 2023, 01:03:21 PM
Furthermore, I have part-time jobbed and can lose this any time just because of this now looking for full time is this OK or no?
I'll advise you to keep that part time job, since you're still testing how the market will be you've got no assurance through it. You can learn while working with it and that's why whether you've got full time or part time job and you want to sacrifice it, don't do that yet. Or much better that even if you become good in trading as if that's the plan that you're trying to set, still keep on working with those until you're decided that you're leaving for it.

I am 31 years old with no technical education and have experience of accounting as this is my job so can be successful in this or no.
Please give your ideas and views, hopefully someone will work for me and I will be able to have better things in life.
You can be successful in accounting and while you're earning there, try to learn about dollar cost averaging for bitcoin. That's the best thing that you can while working for those two jobs of yours.
2197  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: always updated bitcoin fees image from mempool.space on: May 20, 2023, 10:07:28 AM
Thanks for this tool bitmover. I'll test it now on this post after looking at the mempool.space as the fee sucks again.

After the test: it's a great tool and tells exactly the same thing. If there could be another tool to lessen the fees LOL, as if there's one tool that shall do that but it's for sure that there's none.

2198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HyperBitcoinization Coming, Says Adam Back, Do you Agree? on: May 20, 2023, 08:06:17 AM
I have always been bullish and such analysis like this is certainly giving the positive vibes for everyone that thinks that there's nothing happening in the market lately. And that is because of the price of Bitcoin don't move a lot and instead of moving forward, we get some corrections.
It's real that there are more people that don't want to sell their Bitcoins and want to hold it instead. That is because everyone have learned already on how the market cycle goes, with this, everyone is anticipating a better value for bitcoin in the coming years and even for the upcoming bull run. It's known that many do like to hold even at least 1 BTC but it doesn't stop there and having the word of hyperbitcoinization, he or they can address it depending on what they see in the market. But I like it when he said that it's gonna be a luxury to obtain 1 BTC soon while many are saying that buying it now is expensive.
2199  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I GOT SCAMMED. Has anyone been able to withdraw money from Betflip.io? on: May 19, 2023, 11:47:46 PM
So I got scammed by Betflip. My fault for not doing my due diligence and all that... All it took was one google search to see that they are VERY SHADY.
Sorry of what happened to you but that's the pay that you'll have to do if you do the same mistake of just googling casinos to gamble with. It won't take a lot of time for researching before entrusting them with your money. And with all of those links given by other members on how skethcy they were, that's more than enough that you don't have any chance of getting back your money. IIRC, I've seen them make a bounty before in the forum years ago but didn't know that they're turned to the other side of scamming people.

They're registered on Namecheap. I'm going to gather evidence against them, from everyone that was scammed by them and go to Namecheap to get them offline.

-Hurts bad
Good luck in doing that and you might also want to update the thread with this format:

2200  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it about morality or productivity in choosing to work from Home on: May 19, 2023, 10:17:04 PM
It's not about morality or so. He has to understand that there are jobs and tasks that can really be done at home with certain tools provided by the company. He's aware of the WFH setup and that has been there even before the pandemic triggered. I don't know why he has to make this such a wide discussion and have to make bold statements about vague comparisons. He may be entitled to his own opinion but he's off and entirely wrong with that comparison. If people choose the skillsets that they have which will allow them to work at home, why stop them?
While those people chose the skills that will only be done inside the company's premises through working on site. There's no violation, there's no discrimination with the choice of anyone whether to work at home or to work on site.
