1361  Economy / Economics / Re: Connect data to accelerate cashless payments on: June 20, 2023, 12:35:28 PM
It's true that transitioning from the typical payment methods that we've used to which is cash and bank transfers, we're now having these digital payments and transactions that are on instant depending on the payment processor that we're using. This is innovation and this inevitable and it's good to hear that even in places where technology isn't expected to be advance, there goes the vendors, merchants and business folks that are already using it. While we should also be careful keeping our data and information online, the thieves are also improving. Before, they're pickpocketing our physical wallets, now, they've become cyber-criminals and thieves that are trying to get onto everyone with every and little information they get from their targets and victims. That's why in line with this innovation, we as users need also to be aware of such and how to protect ourselves from them.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin become The General Currency in the Future? on: June 19, 2023, 07:50:19 PM
About years ago El Salvador became the first country to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender and there are speculations that other countries would also adopt it in the nearest future
Next was Central African Republic and then the rest are most likely will just let it as neutral.

now my question is, with bitcoin being the leading crypto currency is there a tendency that it would become the generally used currency worldwide?
If legally speaking, there is a chance but can't you see that it's massively being used globally as you've made this thread? Bitcoin was already used as a payment for many countries and how much even more being used a store of value and being held as an investment by the majority. So going to legally speaking, it's highly volatile and if a government makes the use of it then there could be some precautionary measures on their end to be implemented.
1363  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: It's time to buy a Hardware Wallet: lots of discounts on: June 19, 2023, 04:41:38 PM
2. As the adoption of Bitcoin grows the demand for safe hardware wallets continues to surge as well. This translates to an increase in the price of those wallets, for simple law of supply and demand.
As much as I want to believe that the demand for the hardware wallets will drop down, this is reality. The demand will eventually be more based on the market situation and we know that what's next to the market which is the bull run. And from there, it'll create a surge in the market while many old investors that have just been convinced to purchase hardware wallets, they'll surely do spend from the profits they'll make from the upcoming bull run. While the new holders, they'll just do the same thing of what old holders will do and that's to purchase hardware wallets as suggested. But who knows if this demand will decrease in the future.

The demand will continue to grow, I am almost sure about it.
Actually, I recall seeing the price of the Trezor one some years ago being in the rank of 50$ or so, nowadays the price seems to have increased to 65$ and we are not even in the middle of a bullrun.

When future bull runs come and people start to rush for hardware wallets to keep their investments safe, then market prices will surge and they are unlikely to go down to previous levels again. At least, that is what I have noticed with Satoshilabs.
That's what we're anticipating to happen when the bull run has come. While most of the hardware wallet companies are already there, some adjustments could also be made by them taking advantage even if the supply is already there and they're meeting the demand. This is common in most products and companies when they see that they've been on the all time high demand. And what I'm just hoping for is that the new unknown hardware wallet companies will be able to introduce themselves properly so, it won't just be the big two or three that's known by many playing and keeping up with the demand.

1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC CHANGED MY LIFE - Crypto investor? on: June 19, 2023, 11:19:49 AM
What a journey, you're doing great with your investments and it's up to you if you want to add some more cryptos to your portfolio. But if I'll do that in my portfolio, I wouldn't add more. While there will be people to justify that you should add more because whenever the bull run comes, there goes the different altcoins that will also experience the pump that Bitcoin shall have by next year or two. All are good and you only need to be consistent with what you've started, you don't panic when there are bad news but you'll learn it all and I think you already did though.

I also want to inform you that we have a new article out so you can come and read it!!

https://unijoin.medium.com/bitcoin-the-way-of-the-free-man-57c534e05698?source=social.tw
This was a good write up and read. I'm not really good in economics and related to finances and the names that have been mentioned on the article, I have no idea with them. So, while it's a good article being good means that the readers are also learning something new. Not just new names and theories but also history and then connecting it to Bitcoin. Differentiating the currencies that we currently have and how they built private currencies. While it's said at the end that the discussion will continue soon, I'll look forward on that.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 18, 2023, 09:28:22 PM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.
I can identify myself if I'm already addicted or not. I know that people can also tell me and look if my habits is already on the way for being a gambling addict. But, this cannot be avoided when someone gives his/her opinion about you being noticed your activities and tells that you're an addicted gambler. And if that's being said to me, I'll justify myself that I'm good and I know myself better than the others. Honestly, sometimes the reality sucks and it's painful because we can't admit that we're already there and one of those addicted gamblers. You know that there are offending ways of expressing their opinions to the other people and that's why sometimes it's hard to accept the fact.

They were concerned that if the internet were to go down today I would lose all my investments.?[/b]
Nope, you won't lose all of your investments. Because if there's no internet then your investments will remain untouched because there's no connection, no connectivity. I guess your friends are just trying to poke you because they're jealous of what you've got for investments.
You're already making money and trades for the past two years, you know what's best for you and you know better than that friend of yours. It should be you that must be worried about him/her when they're still in the phase of doubting this market, you're already making money and they'll be left behind.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 18, 2023, 01:03:58 PM
Hello everyone, I have a new question,
In your opinion, is it worth attending blockchain events?
No need to be an expert to answer this but if you're for gaining more knowledge and connections then it's a good option to join and participate blockchain events. You will meet new people and faces and even better people than you, we have to admit that even if we're the best that we think of then there will be people that will be better than us. Through these events, we'll get stronger connections and networking with people through it is a best way. But to mind you, not all of these events are for free. Some may require a fee so it's also up to you if you think if they're worth of your time and money.

Rollbit has 1 full member slot open.

We have 1x Full Member position, apply now!

The YoMix signature campaign opens slots for several participants, say only 2x Full Members and 1x for Hero Members.
Please open the thread to see more details and the payment rate.

We have 2*Full member and 1*Hero payroll open. Please apply. I will accepted application for the next week.

This has changed, instead of 2 full member it has become into 1 full member & 1 hero member because there's already one that's chosen. Still hadn't chosen those accepted participants so those that are looking for a campaign, apply now for these openings especially the full members although it's a tough competition now.

We still have 1*Full Member and 1*Hero payroll open.
1372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pirated Windows builds with crypto stealer on: June 17, 2023, 09:07:33 PM
This is one of the many reasons why I don't download crack software if the main one is requiring a paid version. I'm good of not using that software and I don't look for any alternative of it because I may ended up into the malware like this one. Usually, most of the pirated versions do have something behind it and that's why anyone who's into this should change and start availing software with a paid version.
Those who also likes to download from torrent or any other the same website, you'll get something for free as well but you'll never like what type of package you'll get that it has got behind.
1373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading on: June 17, 2023, 12:12:02 PM
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and respond.
I've learned that there are fake crypto websites and if you deposit money into them you will never get your money back.
I'm assuming the website she uses is one of them.
Good that you've realized it. While reading your story, I've already knew it that it's a scam attempt to you. Didn't you know that even you had someone a video call/chat, there are software that can easily fool you out like split cam and AI voices, etc.
These software can make you feel that you're really talking to a woman that's a lot of years younger than you. It's obvious that they want you to trade on that platform that they've made and once you've deposited there, that's the time for you to say goodbye to the money that you've deposited. I don't also understand why that strategy has been told to you to sell at exact 60 seconds after your purchase because it doesn't make sense.
1374  Economy / Economics / Re: Lucky you do not sell to blackrock on: June 17, 2023, 10:43:11 AM
A few day ago blackrock happy was buy cheap many btc in the market. Now, you are regret to sold it to big company which will be resold back to you with high price in the next years.
I don't want to pressure those that have sold their bitcoins earlier. There could be some circumstances that they're facing and that's their very option which is to sell.

But why sell to a company when you can sell individually or to an exchange? Why does Blackrock not go into an exchange to buy instead of buying privately from individuals? Was there some kind of discount or something?
I think of what he's trying to say is in general of those who have sold and these whales are the ones who will take it. Regardless of where you sell it, it goes to the market and these are the takers which is BlackRock is one of them.
1375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quote prices in Bitcoin or Satoshi on: June 17, 2023, 08:52:17 AM
I am more used to the usage of decimals/Bitcoin than using the satoshi term in pricing. But whatever you're used to and just always quote the other one so you get to show both prices in both terms and pricing. And running that experiment on that domain, you'll see on how the traffic is reacting to the prices and how they will address it to you. I think you can take time until a month or two and see how demand goes and what they're addressing and which is more usable for your visitors.

1376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How free crypto wallet devs make money ? on: June 16, 2023, 11:49:30 PM
Aside from advertising and potential integration and partnership, I think that they're also earning a bit of percentage from the fixed or customized fee that users pay them.

Thank you for your answers, even though we don't really know. Because in the case of crypto wallets, the devs have quite a responsibility in terms of security. It's not really the same level of responsibility as a bug on candy crush ...
You're right, this wallet has got millions of users and I think with all of those years that they've operated they've managed to earn a lot of profits from every source that they can.

So what's going to happen with Atomic? Who's going to reimburse users ?
It could be some reserve funds of theirs but whether they've got a lot or none if they're not willing to refund it, they won't. But there goes the TOS that they've got.

8. Cap on Liability.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ATOMIC WALLET BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES EXCEEDING $50.

9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Atomic against any claims, damages, losses or legal fees incurred due to Your use (or misuse) of Atomic.
1377  Economy / Economics / Re: 85% of AI start-ups will fail within 3 years. on: June 16, 2023, 10:43:20 PM
I do think that it will happen. Well, I have been looking at the other industries startup market and seen that many have closed down already and when the market is too saturated for these AI/tech startups, for sure that many of them will have to close down because of how crowded the market is. 3 year span of time I think is already enough and we'll see that many of these will either continue and try to survive or will flourish and then the others to decide to close down. One thing is for sure with technology, these that are currently seeing to be amazed with their development. If they don't do better in the upcoming years, they may be obsolete and a newer tech will come.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 16, 2023, 09:35:23 PM
Well, that's a strong thought that many will disagree. While it's true that if you don't have money then you're wasting the opportunity but if you've got no money and you've got the knowledge, the only thing that's wasted is the opportunity to buy but the knowledge will remain.
We've got different scenarios that we're facing at the same time and that's why some in trials, while those that are able should be thankful that they're able to DCA or buy when they want to.

when such a person doesn't have any more to buy rather than seeking ways to buy?
Exactly, we need to find ways on how we're going to acquire money and how we'll earn so that the money that we'll earn from those sources will be used for investing in Bitcoin but not at all times.
1379  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance leaves Netherlands on: June 16, 2023, 01:03:53 PM
Are such legislations applied according to the Dutch passport or according to the IP addresses? If the ban was according to the IP address, it is easy to claim to the support team that I have moved to another place, even if it was according to the passport, it does not seem logical.
Much likely through IP address. It's possible that you can reason that you've moved out of the Netherlands and you're not covered by their policy leaving the country but I guess you'll be subjected to another series of KYC to prove that.

Starting from Canada and now Netherlands it appears that before the end of the year we will have a list of countries where Binance has failed to comply with regulatory standards.
Yeah and there's still a hot issue that they're going on against the US' SEC.

The regulatory bodies are not letting Binance to continue providing their service in those countries. Although, Binance has been doing very well for the crypto users and specially the traders, but now the odds are against them and they might leave many other countries in fear of getting accused.
It's possible that they really can't meet what's being asked for the license/VASP. But one big reason is that it is, the regulators are being hard on them and won't allow to be on their jurisdictions operating with their own market. Hopefully, more reasons to come out coming from Binance themselves.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is legalized, a dream of mine would come true on: June 16, 2023, 11:07:44 AM
If Bitcoin was legalized in Bangladesh, I would take a payment system through Bitcoin with a pizza restaurant.
Who knows if one day there will be a change with that decision?

But my dreams will remain dreams because Bitcoin will never be legalized by the government in my country.
You can still continue with other dreams of yours or why not make your own restaurant soon and when the tide has turned and becomes favorable to Bitcoin. Then, that's the time that you should be the one to adopt Bitcoin as payment with your own restaurant or with any business that you've got. You'll never know, time changes, people changes and even the government policies as well that some of them might change.
