1341  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: June 24, 2023, 05:19:42 AM
That's how it goes. At the end of the day, it's like these exchanges at the mercy of the government but not anymore today. Just like how the known centralized exchanges have been moving from country to country and building their headquarters. There's a problem on them that they can't comply with what the government is asking. It could be a personal attack on them with the requirements and rules set and these governments know that big money is gonna flow on them but if these exchanges decide not to get onto their markets, they'll lose a huge part of the market that they own on these regions.

The government knows that allowing the CEX do things by themselves would cause a boycott of activities that were meant to be a normal procedure hence they got themselves fully involved in CEX activities so as to monitor and keep watch on them.
CEX generates huge amount of money from transactions   which git the government poped eyes into their activities and making sure they pay tax and.all other levied bill on them by virtue of their presence on their jurisdiction.
They just can't get their eyes on it. It's a billion dollars market and will eventually be back to trillion again whenever we're back at the bull run. And how much more if all of these ETFs applied will be approved then combining all of those that have applied, that's a lot of sum that they will not turn away their eyes on it. That's why ending up that they just can't let it pass and they should also have a share and a piece of cake from the entirety of this market.
1342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having no money to invest in Bitcoin is even better on: June 24, 2023, 02:46:15 AM
I've studied most Bitcoin investors, those who have money to invest are the ones going around looking for someone to teach them how to invest, the first thing they want to learn is how to use the exchange to make purchases using Fiat on the exchange, they are always in hurry, they have no time.
It's for their assurance and security that they can take back their money anytime and to see how liquid cryptocurrencies are. Well, it's liquid but we know that not all of them.

Those who don't have money, have all the time to keep learning and reading stuff online about Bitcoin and the crypto space, they have no reason to be in any hurry and it seems they are the ones that avoid the unnecessary dramas in the crypto space because they took their time to learn first.
That's right, and these people are also likely the ones to observe the market with their time. Since they've got no budget yet to invest but they see what's happening in the market and this is making them having good decision and have it on their minds that if they have money soon, they know what to buy and to invest with it.

Do not walk away from Bitcoin investment because you don't have the money, it's even better not to have money because you will have the patience to learn more about everything, and when the money comes, you will be able to avoid many dramas.
Well, you can do something about that. Find a side hustle, grind for something so that you'll have money eventually and don't have to be that big. As long as you have initiated it, that's what matters. You already have a something to begin with.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2023, 09:41:33 PM
Well, unlike the other forums, basketball groups and communities, I don't think that there will be a thrown hate to you when you're just spitting your opinion. Unlike on the other areas and social networks, the toxicity there is at peak.
Well, you are right man, but still, I am just saying sorry if there could be people that don't like what I am saying, but the Chris Paul trade would be a steal if CP3 is not at 38 years old and always prone to injuries, I would love to see that trade but this is a real problem the Warriors need size and not a 6th man that might cost them a good player that they can rely upon every game,
No doubt that Poole was a good player but this is the reality and the time is keeping up that everyone just have to accept that the deal was all set and done.

The Phoenix Suns upgraded its roster with a deadly 4 All-Star combo.
With the Suns performance last season, this is too much for everyone to expect better performance for this upcoming season. What are the other rumors and trades that have been mind blowing so far except from the known ones that we've already got on this thread?
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2023, 08:03:34 PM
Who knows until the actual season starts but I'm wishing him best for his career as it looks like everyone is truly optimistic on what's going to be his career run with the Spurs.
It's too early to compare him with Zion. We don't even know if he can truly live up to his status as a star. Zion has already proven himself to be a dominant player, whereas we haven't seen that from Wemby in the NBA yet. So let's reserve that comment for the future. We need to witness his greatness first.
It's okay, it's just all for the sake of discussion and it happens everywhere. I even see that there were already haters of Wemby so comparison and such are normal just after this draft. But what many have noticed on this draft is that all attention were given to Wemby.

Yes, if not for the drama prior to the start of the season and then in the playoffs, maybe he will still be a Warrior right now. But I guess the management really weight everything specially in his performance in the second round. He was non-existent and instead of helping, he has somewhat become a issue now. So the Warriors are still going to be good though, they still have their leader in Green and Steph Curry, and then adding another experience player, might be good for them. I'm seeing maybe Kuminga and Wiggins getting the benefit of the trade as for sure CP3 passing ability like getting a alley-oop pass for this two will be great for the team.
I do remember that drama where Poole has been involved but I don't think that there is something to do it. But if it really does, well he's not aware that his days were already numbered while they've been playing all of this season and playoffs.
1345  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: June 23, 2023, 06:48:46 PM
-snip-

If not stringent rules from the government what else do they do? They are always up to forcefully imposing rules on organizations under them so as to cajole them in doing their biddings. The government knows that her citizens would never do whatever ever they insist on them doing freely without being strict. If the citizens are given free will, me n of them would patronize anything that comes from the government but rather, they will prefer to do things with the private sector and individual organizations rather than doing it having anything with the government.
That's how it goes. At the end of the day, it's like these exchanges at the mercy of the government but not anymore today. Well, the GSW would like to try if it's gonna work if they've got CP3 on them and while we've seen how poor the last performances of Poole. I'm excited on this trade and how he's going to play with Steph. As you've said, he's prone to injury and he's gonna be like have the numbered days in his professional career. There's no need to be sorry on the fans, this usually how it goes with these trades and hopefully that GSW won't get injuries a lot and at the same time with their key players. Because if that happens, we might see on how they've became a lackluster for a season.
The fans could've been mad at me because I am against this trade, for me, CP3 is not consistent anymore, and could also miss a lot of games it is not a good trade but surely he is good friends with Stephen Curry so Curry would want CP3 by his side, but I don't really see a big potential about this trade being great,
Well, unlike the other forums, basketball groups and communities, I don't think that there will be a thrown hate to you when you're just spitting your opinion. Unlike on the other areas and social networks, the toxicity there is at peak.

Yeah, seems to be Wemby is the only name that we have heard in this year's draft, the hype is big for this kid, like every NBA players are watching him. It's too early to say if he will have a big impact or not.
Can't deny that the hype that Wemby made for this draft year was really huge and noisy.

Maybe we can compare him to Zion? big hype, he enter the league have impact but he got injured, and now he is injury prone and there are rumors that he could be traded too.
Who knows until the actual season starts but I'm wishing him best for his career as it looks like everyone is truly optimistic on what's going to be his career run with the Spurs.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2023, 10:11:20 PM
This is the craziest deal that I see, I don't really want to underestimate Chris Paul but the injury-prone CP3, but a likely good trade Jordan Poole and Draymond Green chemistry are likely to Crumble away so a good trade will be Jordan Poole to the other team but I am very negative about the Chris Paul trade if this is real, for me CP3 is not consistent but Consistent in getting injured, sorry Chris Paul fans but I am frustrated about this,

I really do not think CEX would cease to exist irrespective of what would happen in their nearest future. Although the Crypto space is unpredictable but I believe there is always an alternative to getting things done than pushing the CEX out of market or existence. The CEX  played a great role in the speedy spread of Crypto currencies globally irrespective of the location and laws governing it. Without the CEX, Crypto or blockchain would not have gone this far.
As long as they've been established already and maintains to be liquid, they'll continue to stay. And the only reason that they'll be out on the market or they'll be forced to their closure when there's a pressure from the government. With that, it'll create a fear to the users and from being liquid, that will decrease over time until they're no longer liquid. I think in the near future, there will only be less of them and the ones that are established will remain. Having these news that there have been CEX on development made or supported by the government is gonna be another game changer but we will see the result of it once it's fully operational and everyone gets a touch of it.

If the government choose to trade their CBDCs on CEX  platforms, that's alright as it would give a boast to the cex for their credibility and reliability. This would keep the market moving.
And that's gonna make another demand for them and it's very likely that these CBDCs have no other way of increaseing their demand aside from forcefully making laws to be used by citizens but also to get into these markets of CEX's.
1349  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic problem, why is fiat difficult to hold. on: June 22, 2023, 06:14:38 PM
but in your opinion, do you think that the soceity is contributing to the high and many expenses making money not to stay or is it just a bad habit I have?
Both.
While we're living on this era and you're seeing the society and with the help of social media, there have been a lot of trends and flexes that everyone has to make for which results into more spending habits. An example of it is dining outside and going to expensive coffee shops like Starbucks or any known cafe that seems to be nice because the society that surrounds you think of you highly when you posts that you've been there whether it is at rare times or often times. I do get that before whenever I've got cash on hand and it's truly easy to spend it. As much as we want to save, we just can't because times that we have to spend is always there. That's why you gotta save hardly and even you can't, you have to oppose to yourself in terms of spending. While it's easier to spend today and shop everywhere through online and mobile banking, that adds to the reasons why a person doesn't have a saving. It will all end up on attitude and approach to your money handling decisions.
1350  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price hitting 30k twice this year. on: June 22, 2023, 04:59:20 PM
Bitcoin price is on it again after a few drop in price at around 25-26k, but hitting the price value of 30k again as it did sometime April this year. What I describe as a gleams of the prospective light at the end of the tunnel of the year 2023.

What are your thoughts on this spontaneous rise again in the price of BTC hitting 30k twice just within the first quarter of 2023. Do you you think it's going to plummet again or do better above 40k?
We will never know if it's all about the price of Bitcoin. It's nice that it's back to $30k but it's still fluctuating on that price and the possibility that it gets back to a lower price is always there.

Or is just one of a tempting rise to fall again even below the 25k-26k it did for the past weeks after hitting 30-31k around the month of April?
Please share your thoughts about this.
If it falls again and draws back that's a perfect opportunity that shouldn't be wasted by many if ever they've missed the drop that it has did. Because when it goes into a bull run, we'll not be sure how high it will go.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to Bitcoin on: June 22, 2023, 01:28:38 PM
Why OP has to keep on spamming his email for someone to contact him and teach him about Bitcoin? It's because there is probably some ill intent and plan of his on who's ever gullible enough to teach him about Bitcoin. Isn't it hard to access the forum if he already did some posts already and also made this thread alone? It's likely that if someone contacts him, there's already some sort of scripted replies that he'll make for that guy to get into his scheme. Because if I'm a newbie and I do really want to learn about Bitcoin, the first thing that I'll search is through google and that's a vast of information for most newbies. And if still I am not satisfied yet, the next website that I'll go is YouTube and search those videos about bitcoin for beginners.
1352  Economy / Exchanges / Re: When scammers lacks crypto updates on: June 21, 2023, 09:36:47 PM
And maybe she's not a she but a he. This type of building up rapport with the potential victim is also becoming common. These scammers/hackers are taking time to get the person's trust that they're conversing. I do also receive these type of messages in different messaging apps. I don't even know how these people are getting my contact but as long as it's on many platforms, there will always those people that will gather data and information of anyone that they can. As soon as someone messages me and asks me about investment for which their scripts are almost identical. I am not wasting my time to talk to them and blocks them as soon as possible. I can't believe that you've spent  your precious time for months talking to that person.
1353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everything is on FIRE today! on: June 21, 2023, 07:35:16 PM
Who is EDX?

Explains a few things... Interesting bitcoin cash is their mix, explains why it rocketed up.

https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/23/06/32930271/institutional-only-crypto-exchange-edx-markets-debuts-with-support-from-major-financial-fi
Actually, I have no idea about them and the edx that I've thought is the one that's educational and more with online courses. It's good that I've got now an idea on who they are, so based from the article they're an exchange for institutional players.

IMHO: this way too much way too fast, it will settle back like you said
It is nothing new and not shocking but we do get overwhelmed whenever we see Bitcoin moves like this. It's like it's been such a long period of time until it had move a couple of thousands from the stable price that it had been or from the price during where the Binance news were around. I can still remember when it was like the barrier($30K) that's unbreakable a few months ago.
1354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everything is on FIRE today! on: June 21, 2023, 05:19:55 PM
There can be some push because of those news about application for ETF and it's not just Blackrock but also WisdomTree, I don't have idea about the latter but it seems another huge company as per my research it has got $87 billion globally of AUM. Other than these news, I don't see anything that can push the prices but it's all due to these fundamentals and good news that we're seeing right now. While those past news about SEC hunting Binance US, Coinbase and more news about Binance negatively globally, it had pulled the market and now these Bitcoin ETF applications and news are likely the reason why we're seeing the sudden push of Bitcoin. But are we going to be surprised with these if it's normal that it surprises us with a bump and then with the typical dumps that we've been?
1355  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Shilling service on: June 21, 2023, 02:42:44 PM
@OP if you're budgeting up to $100 per day. Why not just hire a marketing team that will do everything for you? I think that budget is enough to have at least a good marketing manager or a team that will work on your project and market it on platforms that you wanna get known. If you wanna hire someone that's gonna be shilling your project specifically in the forum, I doubt that you'll get one. Most of those that are doing it are likely to get avoided and ignored in discussions. Or if you're specific to campaigns, there could be some that will put their reputations on line but not as reputed as the one's that are known and existing here.
1356  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying Crypto With visa and mastercard on: June 21, 2023, 12:29:00 PM
Go with the platforms suggested by bitmaxz. I think having that much money, you can go on a holiday and go to nearby countries where exchanges aren't strict and you can buy crypto that you want based on their policies. Dealing with this trade on the forum will not encourage escrow because knowing that it's a card transaction, it's reversible and both the escrow and the seller could be in problem and you just go away with any amount you get from this transaction. I'm not accusing you but this is the reality with c.card transactions and even if you use an escrow and even if you send a bunch of identifications.

There is bunch out there also you can direct buy with trustwallet as far that I know but the wallet is closed source so after successful buy you can move it to another wallet.
He can still be subjected to KYC even if it will happen in a Trust wallet. Usually these wallets that has integrated exchange can still do what usual exchange require users to comply.
1357  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC fighting the publics fight my ass on: June 21, 2023, 10:35:23 AM
Well, that's already the answer as to why SEC has been too active going in with the exchanges even if the company is coming from their own land. They want a piece of cake from the large market that they can't avoid. So, if this is going to really happen then this is gonna give more confidence to their users that their funds will be "safer" on their end because they're the actual government and it is their own. Now, it's gonna be the choice of people that's gonna go with this government-backed exchange rather than of those that's being fighted back.
1358  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Crypto Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: June 20, 2023, 11:57:23 PM
In the near future we are going to publish the 3rd article (a continuation of the first two). But I would like to know the opinion of users about how often this should be done. For a second it seemed to us that the publication of 1 article per week is quite common. We will be grateful for any reasonable answer.
IMHO, an article per week is already good but I do also agree with lightwarrior that it should be quality over quantity for which it isn't an issue to you guys since you've just produced quality articles.
Anyway, there could be some gaps or missed weeks or days that you may not be able to publish articles for some reasons and that's totally fine. The topics that you've been are interesting and also a nice way of introducing Unijoin to the readers and you've proven that with a lot of followers on your medium account.  Cool
1359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC CHANGED MY LIFE - Crypto investor? on: June 20, 2023, 10:04:04 PM
What a journey, you're doing great with your investments and it's up to you if you want to add some more cryptos to your portfolio. But if I'll do that in my portfolio, I wouldn't add more. While there will be people to justify that you should add more because whenever the bull run comes, there goes the different altcoins that will also experience the pump that Bitcoin shall have by next year or two. All are good and you only need to be consistent with what you've started, you don't panic when there are bad news but you'll learn it all and I think you already did though.

Thanks buddy! God bless.
Don't mention it, keep it up and God bless you too.  Wink

Portfolio growing every month is the biggest deal in this topic, because if you invest just once, then you will have to wait for bitcoin to grow incredibly high, and I am not sure how high it could even go. Even if we talk about 50x, which is a million dollars (and then some) it would still be just 50x return, so if you invest something like 1k dollars into it, you would have 50k and that is a good amount but it is not everything.
That's right, it's about consistency of DCAing and that's needed to be understood by the many. There's no problem if an investor only invests one time and he bought Bitcoin and will hold it for a very long time. But if you want to maximize your profits, there's a need for you to gain of how much you're holding and definitely, you'll spend money for buying it. So the return that we will get in the future will also depend on how consistent we are in buying more today or just by being stagnant.

Sadly, I was one of the victim of Address Poisoning which lead to $5000 loss in a single transaction. I was sending money from my Ledger wallet to Binance exchange and I copied the deposit address from My Ledger History instead of Exchange Deposit page, ended up losing $5k which is a big amount for me. But it's okay, that's how you learn.
This is heartbreaking, sorry for your loss. It's a lot of money and an expensive lesson.

DeFi is still risky and that's why I still promote big exchange platforms for newbies.
We may not like some of the biggest exchanges but they're easier to use and DeFi's aren't good as intro for the newbies unless they're willing to explore.
@OP, thanks for sharing the news and for everyone who has shared their experiences. These hackers will always reengineer whatever they can as they're focused in stealing others fund's. While these cons will keep on learning the new tech and possible technique that they can use for their victims. We as users and keepers of our wallets should also continuously learn on how to get protected in every inch that we can.
