Now the NSA has planted backdoors for Samsung electronics and hard drive companies.

Good joke. There is no chance of something like that happening with Samsung systems. However, it is quite possible with Apple devices as they are CIA stooges.
21842  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Liberal Super PAC Accepting Bitcoin on: December 30, 2013, 10:43:44 AM
I thought that liberals will be the last people on earth to accept Bitcoin. Anyway, I hope they will not reverse their decision after coming in to pressure from the top brass.

I saw an interesting video on Russia Today earlier that details all the puppet governments the US have helped instal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLE7Bswz9G8

The problem with that video is that the current Ukraine government is also a puppet government. But it is Russia's puppet not the US'. Don't think the Americans are the only ones playing this geopolitical game of puppet master.

At least the people in Ukraine elected Yanukovych. And he still enjoys widespread public support, although the Western media paints him as an oppressor.

On the otherhand, the US frequently invades other nations, overthrows the democratically elected governments there, and then install the ruler whom they like to rule.
21844  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot rides on the way the USA is going to go. (Politics split) on: December 30, 2013, 10:39:14 AM
I was just going to say but you beat me to it, the censorship of the body etc. is a classic example of western hypocrisy Tongue

Hypocrisy? Yes. But Western, maybe.

At least Western porn is not censored. On the otherhand, watching Japanese porn is quite irritating, because of their pixelation. The Japanese even censor their porn! So who is more hypocritical? Westerners or the Easterners?
21845  Economy / Speculation / Re: and what do you think about this now? (Bitcoin Will Crash To $10 By Mid-2014 ) on: December 30, 2013, 10:36:51 AM

21846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin In India Under attack :- global community please help on: December 30, 2013, 10:30:45 AM
just trade on localbitcoins and eventually media will forget about bitcoins and the government.

Trading in localbitcoins.com is not risk free. The government can track the IP and trace your transactions. However, I believe that localbitcoins admins will not give the logs to the Indian government.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/ahmedabad/Bitcoin-may-be-used-by-hawala-traders-Officials/articleshow/28067184.cms

Looks like The government is starting to demonize bitcoin users.

The bureaucrats in india is like the Vogons. regulation will take about another year and  they will try to get  people the bribe them for favorable licensing and deny licence to any one  that goes through the proper channel .
They are looking at this as a centralized currency base and must be looking for  satoshi to arrest. lol

Know what? The ruling party in India recently hiked the gold import duty to 10%, just to encourage smuggling.

Most of the gold smuggling in India is done by a particular community, which is very close to the ruling party. And most of the gold is sourced from the GCC nations, such as UAE and Oman.

The same government now blames Bitcoin users of hawala transactions... lol.. how funny?
21848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be happy tyranny is allergic to bitcoin, not sad. on: December 29, 2013, 04:16:52 PM
I think people commonly confuse communism with fascism which has always been a component of the American makeup even right down to the age and gender roles.

Don't know much about the American mindset. But, you can go to North Korea and watch communism in action. In DPRK, the communism is very much inter-twinned with fascism.

I have an account with an exchange that send out a "please confirm" when I perform a sending request. And then i have google authenticator set up with that e-mail account.

The OP didn't activated 2FA, I believe. Also, your account can be hacked even if you activate it. The hacker just have to hack your email account as well.  Normally, Gmail is quite difficult to crack. But the same can't be said about other mail providers.
21850  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do people spend their bitcoins mostly? on: December 29, 2013, 04:06:45 PM
Haha, where'd they buy them? Silk Road for the viagra?

Hmm... Probably they used SR 2.0 or some other TOR blackmarket place. Just told me that they got all that stuff for BTC.
21851  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot rides on the way the USA is going to go. on: December 29, 2013, 04:04:47 PM
So what?  Americans are from everywhere.
Skin, eye, and hair color don't make as much a difference in the US as most folks think.

Well... it makes a difference in the voting patterns at least. Last time 94% of the Blacks, more than 80% of the Asians and more than 75% of the Hispanics voted Democrat.
21852  Economy / Speculation / Re: and what do you think about this now? (Bitcoin Will Crash To $10 By Mid-2014 ) on: December 29, 2013, 04:00:23 PM
It would be more probable to speculate that oil will drop to $10 a barrel next year. At least there is the potential new arctic oil incoming.

lol.... The cost of Arctic drilling is expected to be well over $100 a barrel.

Back to the topic, BTC might dip to $300-350 levels, that is the levels before the China boom. I don't see any possibility of it declining further.
21853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much in % of your savings are in BTC? on: December 29, 2013, 03:59:06 PM
99%, but 100% came from bitcoin in the first place.

Are you saying that initially you didn't had any assets to start with? That will be unbelievable, as you need at least some to purchase your initial coins.  Grin
21854  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-22 ZD Net - CryptoLocker's crimewave: A trail of $$$ in laundered BTCs on: December 29, 2013, 03:56:39 PM
I didn't read this article, but in a different one states they also take MoneyPak.  And videos of it working show that as an option.  So it isn't just bitcoin.

Well... they are not Bitcoin ideologists. They use BTC, just for the anonymity. Same with Moneypak. If there is an option which is more anonymous than these two, then they'll use that instead.
21855  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-27-12] India cracks down on bitcoin exchange on: December 29, 2013, 03:55:35 PM
Well , I do agree and I do not agree with some Smiley

1) You think that a manipulated currency is a good thing ? If that's ok , with you , then so be it

2) Russians are fleeing Russia , the + comes from the former soviet countries Tajikistan Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan and , that not a +

3) Maybe will change , or 99% nothing will change.

4) Agree with you but it's far worse then that. It appears their economy is a lie just like their oil fields.

5) Don't want to further comment this , I'll be labeled a racist.

Here is the truth:

1. There is some manipulation, but I don't believe that it is in high volumes.

2. Ethnic Russians are not fleeing Russia. Russia is a nation of some 143 million people. Last year less than 100,000 of them emigrated outside and most of them were ethnic Chechens. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.etc have a large ethnic Russian population. Some of those migrating to Russia are these ethnic Russians.

3. If you follow the political mood in India closely, then it is clear that there is a massive popular wave against corruption. So I am optimistic.

4. Brazil economy depends a lot on Agro-industry. And they cut down 2 million hectares of Amazon forest every year to plant new Soya fields and cattle ranches. Once the EU/ US ban their Soya, Ethanol, Beef and Mahagony they will be in ruins.

5. lol... understood.
21856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin emBassy, Tel Aviv, Israel on: December 29, 2013, 03:50:00 PM
I don't know what the Israeli Central Bank thinks about Bitcoin, but this is a huge step for Bitcoiners in the Middle-East.
21857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB ASIC Miners on: December 29, 2013, 03:27:57 PM
At current hash levels, you will not get even BTC 0.0001 even if you run the device 24x7. So my advice would be to go for a better device, having lots of hash power.
21858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie been hacked BTC E on: December 29, 2013, 03:25:39 PM
Meh.  Banks are hacked all the time.  Bitcoin helps you realize it.

Well, the difference is that if your bank account is hacked then the Bank will reimburse the money. However, if you lose your BTCs, then that's it. They are lost for ever.
21859  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do people spend their bitcoins mostly? on: December 29, 2013, 03:22:29 PM
I have never purchased anything with BTC so far. But my friends have purchased all sort of things, from bullion to viagra tablets.
21860  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot rides on the way the USA is going to go. on: December 29, 2013, 03:20:07 PM
Right, now European Americans are much further along on their path to being a minority.  By 2043, they are projected be less than 50% of the population using the latest census data: http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/regions/americas/united-states/121212/whites-be-minority-america-2043-census

The fertility rate increases are all coming from African and Latino Americans.

I think the White Americans are already a minority. Because the term White non-Hispanic includes several ethnic groups like Arabs, Somalis, Turks, Chechens who are definitely non-white.
