Love the healthcare though

Yeah... wait for a few years until all the illegal aliens destroy the public healthcare system in the US. That's the difference between Obamacare and Romneycare.
21882  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-28 zdnet.com- Bitcoin exchanges suspend operations in India indefinitely on: December 28, 2013, 04:52:58 PM
bad times in india but lets wait and see. there will be more professional exchanges that comply with the laws.

There aren't any laws relating to Bitcoin in India. So the compliance part doesn't arise.
21883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest in bitcoin; invest in services! on: December 28, 2013, 04:40:11 PM
Maybe $25M invested in Coinbase will turn to $25B stake before BTC rises from $730 to $730k, but I believe BTC will go from $730 to 7.3k before any other investment rises tenfold.

Well.... nothing is impossible. Long before Google, the Dell stock had a climb similar to that.

In 1990, the price was $0.10 per share. Went all the way up to $56.32 in 1999. That is a 560x rise in nine years.

Bitcoin has already achieved a 10,000x rise (2011-2013). So let's hope for the best!
21884  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-12-27] Video Bloomberg - Bitcoin Going Mainstream? Just A Matter Of Time on: December 28, 2013, 04:36:37 PM
Well she tried.  0.1 bitcoin is not a satoshi.  Not even close.

yep but amazing that they are so "positive". only 1 guy hates bitcoins. some month ago 3 of 3 hate it  Grin !

lol... one of them lost millions of USD in the Cyprus haircut. After that, he started supporting BTC.

Anyway, it is good to get positive reviews from Bloomberg, which almost acts like a proxy of the bankers.
21885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slovenia: No Capital Gains Tax on Bitcoin on: December 28, 2013, 04:34:26 PM
Look at these two also:

Antigua citizenship by investment:
http://cip.gov.ag

If you are a US citizen, Puerto Rico to avoid capital gains taxes:

http://www.caseyresearch.com/articles/the-only-legal-way-to-escape-us-taxes-besides-death-and-renunciation

These are good summaries, but they've been covered in the WSJ and NYT and other places too.

The Dominican citizenship for cash program is much more in demand as compared to that from Antigua. But all these nations do have extradition treaties with the US. No not 100% risk-free.  Huh
21886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think governments will allow a 500 billion dollar crypto-economy? on: December 28, 2013, 04:31:56 PM

The size of the Black market economy is 10 Tr USD. So if BTC goes mainstream, and gets accepted by the black market mafias, a 1,000x increase in valuation is not impossible.  Grin
21887  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-27-12] India cracks down on bitcoin exchange on: December 28, 2013, 03:39:56 PM
Not if the citizens keep their life saving in BTC..... What the fck can they do? order to pay in ruppees? Good luck with that....

I honestly hope the Indians will be smart about this.

This is going to be their modus operandi:

1. First they will arrest the exchange owner. Then they will extract all the trade logs, complete with the Bitcoin wallet ids and linked bank accounts.

2. They will calculate how much BTC was bought / sold by each of the users.

3. Since they now have the bank accounts of the users, the authorities will contact them and ask them to pay VAT (can be 12.5% or can be 20%) + penalty for their purchases and Short Term Caps Gains (30%) + Penalty for gains from sales.

4. If you don't pay the penalty, they will seize your assets.
21888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effects of China and India News on BTC Price on: December 28, 2013, 03:35:16 PM
India had no presence in the Bitcoin community or market to begin with, it has nearly zero mining, and just recently opened the 1st exchange (which is now gone), so it had basically zero positive effect on Bitcoin, therefore the negative effects are zero as well.

Mining is not possible in India, because enormous red-tape must be cleared to import the ASICs from foreign nations and there is a 120% to 200% import duty.

While India had only one local exchange, a lot of trading was being done through the peer-to-peer global exchange Localbitcoins.com as well.
21889  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoins ruined my life on: December 28, 2013, 03:31:15 PM
You should do some reading and think about God.  Money doesn't equal happiness or a successful life.

Hmm... so money can't make you rich, but god can? lol. You are funny. Please give me all your money, while I'll send you some copies of Bible and Quran.
21890  Other / Off-topic / Re: sweet jesus I accidently had Tor set to run as an exit node for 4 hours on: December 28, 2013, 03:28:43 PM
How did you accidentally set your TOR to an exit node?

I do browse SR 2.0 sometimes.... and if the browser ever acts as an exit node, then I'll be behind bars for quite sometime.  Huh
21891  Economy / Lending / Re: seeking loan (45,000usd in btc) fully secured against real estate on: December 28, 2013, 03:25:54 PM
Banks do not lend money for land, they only lend against structures like houses and warehouses.

I don't think that is correct. Banks do lend money for land.

And 80 acres in Pueblo is worth more than $100,000. So should not be a problem in getting a USD loan.  Grin
21892  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buttcoin GIRL is back! on: December 28, 2013, 03:19:43 PM
Yeah some people have a fetish for that, I think it's gross

Once I visited Pattaya and was surprised at the number of Kathoeys working there. Even more surprising was the size of their European clientele. The Europeans and Arabs were the majority of the clients, not the locals.
21893  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your view on shale gas exploration ? on: December 28, 2013, 03:09:54 PM
So NOW you agree with me.

No. Specifically, you wanted the construction of the Belo Monte dam to go ahead. I opposed it.

You wanted the burning of fossil fuels to continue. I disagreed.
21894  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama on NSA spying on: December 28, 2013, 03:03:40 PM
Yeah..  he should be accountable for the words coming out of his mouth.  He doesn't come up with the policies he signs either.  Smiley

lol... I have a feeling that Obama is not as aggressive and firm as his predecessor (Bush).  Grin
21895  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Judge Says NSA Phone Surveillance Is Legal on: December 28, 2013, 03:01:39 PM
Actually what do you expect of US judges? They are appointed by people like Obama and Billary. And they will show their true colours on time. The first US judge whose name comes to my mind is Barbara Walther.... who took away some 300+ children from their parents after a falsified call was made by a racist named Rozita Swinton.
21896  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama says Snowden’s actions have “done unnecessary damage” on: December 28, 2013, 02:57:42 PM
What do you mean innocent?  Don't you know anyone that gets killed in a drone bombing is automatically classified as a terrorist?

Very soon, every single resident of Russia, Cuba, Venezulela.etc will be classified as a terrorist by Obama.
21897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Satoshi is dead at this moment? on: December 28, 2013, 02:10:10 PM
At least if he's dead he can't come back with a nsa badge to laugh his ass out at our faces Smiley

Even if he defects to the NSA now, he won't be able to do anything now. The Bitcoin has grown too big... and no one including Satoshi can terminate it now.
21898  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-22 ZD Net - CryptoLocker's crimewave: A trail of $$$ in laundered BTCs on: December 28, 2013, 02:07:44 PM
and what if cryptolocker has fun with the backups as well?
don't tell me that you expect average consumers to have offline backups?

If so, then they will pay the ransom and remove the trojan. Most of the infected systems are in the UK. Although the $700 ransom is significant, most of them can afford it.
21899  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-28 zdnet.com- Bitcoin exchanges suspend operations in India indefinitely on: December 28, 2013, 02:05:51 PM
Buysellbitco.in owner was arrested yesterday. He is still being held and might have to pay millions of USD in tax penalties. Also, I heard that a 12.36% VAT might be applicable for all BTC purchases from now onward, but can't confirm this news.
21900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effects of China and India News on BTC Price on: December 28, 2013, 02:02:56 PM
The China news had huge impact on the BTC prices. Because the volumes were huge. But the Indian news hardly had any impact, due to minuscule volumes.
