This is stupidity, isn't it? If he claims that the coins are his own, then he is indirectly admitting that he ran SR 1.0 as an owner. Else, if the Feds ask him how he came to the possession of so many coins, what will be his answer?

Are people getting infected for reasons they can't help, or are they just being careless?
Read somewhere that none of the Anti-Virus programs are currently able to block this particular trojan, with the exception of CryptoPrevent. And the users being careless... well it is difficult to answer. The virus is mainly being spread through emails. The crooks will send emails which look exactly like the one which comes from your Bank or your Employer. If you open the files attached with the mail, your system will get infected. On a first look, the attached file just looks like a PDF file. But be careful! The extension is not *.PDF but rather it is *.PDF.EXE

Paypal and BTC each have their own advantages. While the fee is lower for BTC, the security is much better with PP. Even extremely experienced users are having their Bitcoins stolen by hackers on a daily basis. Also, the volatility is another issue with the BTC.

Wire transfer to any BTC-related site is risky. We have faced enormous difficulties with various exchanges such as Mt Gox and payment processors such as OK Pay.

Ask Tomas Jirikovsky for a 1K BTC loan. I think right now he might be the only person who is generous enough to give you such a loan. And if you are alive 1 week after doing that, then let us know.

But I think we should just leave Wikipedia alone in regards to accepting bitcoin. Perhaps in a few years time they will realize what they're missing out and start accepting it.
Wikipedia is based in UK, right? With no banks supporting BTC there, it will be enormously difficult for them to convert those coins to cash. Also, there will be tax-related complexities as well.

After taking a careful visual examination, I would say that 7 out of the 10 pairs are medically enhanced with plastic surgery and the remaining three are natural. Needs to be sure. So I want to do a physical examination as well.

Is he joking? I thought that it was Obama's men who spied on various world leaders, such as Merkel and the Brazilian president. Snowden just exposed that. So who is the real culprit here?

I don't care much about the PR exercises now being made by the British monarchy. They have never apologized for colonizing half the world and exploiting the natives, starting with Scotland and continuing even now with the Chagos.

How does putting about a 14x14 square mile piece of land under water kill off 600 species of fish? The upper region of Xingu river is having a great variety of aquatic species, most of which is not found anywhere else. The ecology is very delicate and needs moving water to survive. If the water becomes static, then the food chain will become affected and the entire system will collapse.

Silicon Valley gains nothing by staying within a bankrupt state such as California. The residents are taxed to their death and there is hardly any support from the state authorities. So this will be a good move.

China is not a democratic country. It is a communist dictatorship, whose power lies in the absolute loyalty of its subjects, a la North Korea. If Bitcoins spread among the common Chinese population, it won't be easy for the dictatorship to trace the financial transactions of its subjects. Probably they cracked down the BTC after taking this in to effect.

This is freaking awesome! I wouldn't believe it really, somebody returning 22 BTC, must be satoshi himself Read the link carefully. The amount stolen was not 22 BTC, but 0.027 BTC, which was worth $20. And the thief offered to return the BTC, but the news anchor told him that there is no need to do that and he can keep the BTCs with him. And yes, it is nice to have some honest people here, it is such an extreme rarity.

Are you for real?
I don't care much about Russians. What I don't want Russia to do, is to spy on people who reside outside their country (similar to what the US did).

LOL...I hear the Russians have gone back to paper for high level classified docs...
I don't have any problems with the Russians as long as they don't spy on people who live outside their country. What they do to their citizens, is their problem.

It is surprising how an individual born in to a farming community in Siberia (near the Chinese border) became the world's top small arms designer. His son, Victor Mikhailovich Kalashnikov is also an acclaimed gun designer.

And it is true what bryant says, Norway has traditionally been a very peaceful country, of course if we discount the vikings and all their killings and slaughters, the time of colonization, triangle trade, and all the wars. I like it, although the reply was sarcastic. The vikings are gone many centuries ago. Not even remnants of that history remains now in Scandinavia. Radical feminism has destroyed masculinity there. Every week or so, I am reading horror stories like this, this and this. Norwegian males with any self respect will soon go to Kirkenes and then cross over to Nikel or Zapolyarny via the Storskog crossing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn3cHsHnUPM

So everyone who has ever spoken to the press about crimes they have witnessed should be put to death. That's some North Korea logic right there.
One man's terrorist is another's hero. But in a recent poll by a reputed media firm, the majority of American citizens supported Snowden against the government, with 55% calling him a whistle-blower and 34% calling him a traitor. After all US is a democracy, right?

When the killer started his rampage on the island, the police could not come fast enough because there were one helicopter. The pilot was in vacation. No one else could replace him. Finally the cops made it to the place. their boat to reach the island broke down. They had to use someone's boat.
Those are the kind of bureaucrat adults in Norway that understand Bitcoin.
I agree with the bureaucracy part. But then, Norway is a very peaceful place. Terrorist incidents like the one occurred in Utoya occurs like once in a millennium. They never thought that something like that would happen in Norway.

I sold 10% of my Bitcoins at $1,010.... but then panicked and bought them back for $1,015. Damn... it went all the way to $480. I'd have gained a lot had I waited for some time.
