221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or REGRET!!! on: February 25, 2018, 10:55:01 AM
I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. Cry Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. Smiley I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.

I prefer to wait and hold my coin to be a very expensive coin because if it sells then I will experience a very high regret for having sold it at a cheap price. for me if you are stuck in verge then wait until the price is back up.
I also prefer to wait because I have already come across an annoyance from the hasty sale of coins at a low price. I also missed a good time to sell the coin when the price was high enough, but to my delight the price always returned to previous positions or even higher.  Smiley
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: February 25, 2018, 10:42:16 AM
in every whitepaper the important thing is the prospect they offer and I think we can focus on reading that part alone as well as the team that supports it and others I think the common things are
Project outlook and team description are undoubtedly important parts of white paper, but I advise reading the white paper completely. This is important if you want to participate in the ICO. And even better to look for additional information about the project.  Wink
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MyetherWallet Security on: February 25, 2018, 09:58:53 AM
What is the safest way to log MEW among of these?
    1.Keystone File
    2.Private Key
    3.Connecting Metamask.
1, paper wallet - just print your privatekey and then keep your paper wallet on the safe place.
2, Metamask - that was adding more security layer to your wallet, I remember there is a lot of people are saying about they are never having any problem while using metamask to keep all of their amount.
3, Keystone - this should be the last due to the security measure is only pegged on your password.
I have been using metamask for a while now and I have never had any problem with it. It is an extension with a very strong layer of security and so far, I have never gotten any bad review about it, neither have I seen an issue with me using it. So far, I will rather stick to metamask than choose any of the other options.

All the above, keystore file seems to me like the safest unless you feel your PC is extremely safe, that is when you should be entering with your private key. I am always very scared to play with my private key anyway; maybe that is the reason why.

The most important thing is to always keep any of them safe; because even your keystore file lying anywhere is not good, if you cannot protect it.
Using our private keys for anything except store them is something incredibly risky, you only need to make a mistake once and you are done and if that was the private key holding most of your assets then you are lost and will never get those coins back and when we take into account the incredible amount of different coins there are in ETH and how valuable they can become securing our wallets should be our first priority.
It is convenient for me to use a private key, but I care about the safety of my computer. I try to keep my software up to date, because updates fix vulnerabilities in the software. Also mandatory is the availability of antivirus.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any advice for a newbie? on: February 24, 2018, 08:48:49 PM
I think to buy alts. The future behind them has been discussed many times. People are cautious about the new, but as a rule it is necessary to act quickly and accurately. Therefore my choice is alts.
Of course, altcoins will have a promising future, but a beginner before buying a coin should study the project in great detail. I do not advise investing in a project that you do not understand and that does not cause interest.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You have 1m dollars.. on: February 24, 2018, 08:36:08 PM
I probably would have spent some in the real world, and invested the rest in crypto (2-3 very carefully chosen projects, not 50 lousy ones).  Smiley
I would not take such a risk. In order to reduce the risk of failure, I would invest in about 10 projects. Such a number of projects can still be monitored and monitored for all changes.  Smiley
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: February 24, 2018, 08:18:10 PM
I believe in crypto and blockchaint technology. It seems to me that this can change people's lives in the future. And I hope that thanks to crypto people will become much freer.
The technology of the block chain will inevitably change the life of people in the future, but I do not know whether it's good or bad. Any technology can be used for the benefit of people or for harm to people. Scientists who developed atomic energy technology believed that they would give mankind only a new clean source of energy, but they created in addition and nuclear weapons.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: February 22, 2018, 09:59:06 PM
of course this is the right time to buy, but not to sell. we still have plenty of time to hold, so hold it. if there is still capital to buy, I will continue to buy btc when the price starts to fall, but my capital is limited.
Yes, there is no other way out how to keep your coins. To sell now is very unprofitable. Davno many people invested their money in bitcoin at the time when it cost $ 14,000- $ 16,000, they definitely have to keep their coins by all means.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is 1ETH=$10,000 worth the possibility? on: February 22, 2018, 09:52:26 PM
Yes ethereum can reach that kind of price but it takes a lot of time to get that prices because eth is just starting to grow right now and i hope this will be a good run eth
I'm an optimist and I believe that the ethereum will cost $ 10,000, but it will not happen in the coming year. At such a price, for one coin, ethereum will exceed the current capitalization of bitcoin several times.  Smiley
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins still dropping in price on: February 22, 2018, 09:43:02 PM
Btc hasnt dropped very much more and it seems like some alts like linda, verge, and electroneum are still dropping how long will it yake for them to rise back up
I think in the near future, if there is good news about the coin then they will soon rise because good news can increase market demand and lead to price changes, meaning as long as demand rises prices will rise.
Yes, at the moment there are a lot of positive news regarding the crypto currency, so I expect the market to rise. The market is very sensitive to this news.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do i sell my altcoins? on: February 21, 2018, 07:20:08 PM
Hello guys i got really lucky and some of my altcoins received from airdrops have gained value.I want to sell it at its market price.Where can i sell it at its best price?
Also i am confused as to hold or sell the coins. The coins which i possess are at its initial stages so will its value increase with time or should i sell it now.Two of the coins are REBL and EQL.
I have also the same altcoins that you have. Do not be confuse mate. You should know the term HODL or Hold On for Dear Life. I think you can sell your altcoins in etherdelta or coinexchange and etc. There are so many exchanges exist these days because of new altcoins created by many bounty campaigns. Each have their own description, definition and information of every tokens or coin that has been created or developed. Its up to you if you want to sell your tokens now , just remember that its price is not fixed. It means that it has a chance to increase and decrease in every period of time. Always remember HODL.
Yes, many times it happened that the coin grew in price x20-x30 after a certain period of time, so it makes sense to not rush to sell your altcoins. Perhaps then these coins will cost a lot of money.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin making alts useless on: February 21, 2018, 06:55:41 PM
No way, just because bitcoin is making upgrades doesn't mean alts will go anywhere. Granted, a lot will probably die off, but there are still better options than btc.
Yes, for now, and only for niche settings. And this is bound to rapidly change with LN, RS, and other implementations. That's what this thread is about.
Ethereum also announced many changes that will raise its value in the near future. There are other altcoins that will definitely live in the coming years.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: full-time cryptocurrency on: February 21, 2018, 06:46:49 PM
Leaving  your job to take up cryptocurrency job is a risk that is not worth taking considering the fact that you have to learn all the jobs related to cryptocurrencies e.g trading, mining, programming e.t.c  you can combine your job with trading or mining and become successful.
It will not be effective, you will have to work half a day on normal work, and you will devote the remaining free time to crypto currencies. Much more effective will be to quit the main job and only deal with crypto currency, but this requires a stock of money.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: February 18, 2018, 07:55:58 PM
Safest option to store your coins long term is a hardware wallet (like the Ledger Nano S). You can then keep a small part of your coins on the exchange for trading if needed

There are some coins then that are not supported by hardware wallets yet (like IOTA,Monero ,Lisk,etc...). For them, you need one wallet for each coin and it can be tricky (for example IOTA wallet is still not really stable). Other option is to keep them on the exchanges but is not 100% safe since they can be hacked
I agree that keeping coins on the exchange is very unsafe. Crypto exchanges very often hack and steal coins. Coins must be on the stock exchange only for the period of time necessary to complete the transaction. After selling or buying a coin, you need to transfer it to your wallet.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are going to change our lives? on: February 17, 2018, 10:10:59 PM
Many projects can change our lives for the better. All projects related to alternative energy sources, everything related to charity. There are also many projects that can save time wasting when searching for clothes and shoes, food, etc. Many of them are engaged in the development of new security systems. You can endlessly list.
I believe that Block Chain technology will be used in almost all spheres of human life. And this means that there will be a huge number of projects, so it is difficult to choose a single project.  Roll Eyes
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🤔 South Korea introduces new tax on cryptocurrency exchanges on: February 16, 2018, 05:50:48 PM
The collection of taxes from stock exchanges and exchangers in South Korea is basically good news. It means that at last the government has recognized the circulation of the crypto currency legal in this country and it's time for a quiet work in the crypto currency market. Taxation in any case was necessary, and 24 percent is not such a big percentage to panic and believe that because of this bitcoin will fall in price, or sales will decline. The income from the purchase and sale of crypto currency on exchanges and exchangers is very large, so it is more profitable to pay even a quarter of the profits as taxes and calmly trade further than having permanent problems due to the unanticipated and unstable market-based crypto-currency relations.
This is really a step forward for the development of crypto currencies. The introduction of tax in South Korea will only benefit all crypto currencies. I hope this will make the price of bitcoin more stable, at least news about a possible ban on crypto currencies in South Korea will no longer affect the market.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blood-Bath Over? on: February 16, 2018, 05:38:57 PM
I think it's over and even more , I expect market will recover soon . We can see a good signals now and if it will supported with a variety of good news from the U.S. or Korea market will recover pretty fast .
The market really looks very optimistic at the moment. I'm even a bit surprised, I was waiting for the restoration to begin no earlier than May.  Smiley
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: February 16, 2018, 04:16:49 PM
I regret most of all that I stopped doing crypto in 2014. At that time, I very much became disillusioned and lost faith. If I did not do this, my life could have changed very much for the better.  Grin
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH v NEO on: February 16, 2018, 03:51:39 PM
Dissapointed, did not see any real arguments whicih is better .
What are the actual differences besided generation of GAS.. whicih one is tecnically more powerfull and usable.

Either way as an specualtion, I have and am betting big on NEO this year.
I also choose ethereum because I do not live in China. If I lived in China, then I would most likely choose neo. For me, these are very similar coins, just one of them appeared earlier than the other.  Smiley
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like airdrops? on: February 16, 2018, 02:46:21 PM
I don't like airdrop. I suspect that the airdrop is a scam. I once wanted to follow airdrop, but someone asked me about a private key and I thought it was a fraud. I better follow the bounty campaign
I support, I'm used to participating in bounty campaigns. I do not trust airdrop. But in defense of airdrop I want to say that a small number of coins can be obtained, but this is very little for me.  Smiley
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: February 16, 2018, 02:29:50 PM
Crypto won't die. The market went into correction and it's a common behavior after so much groth. After such corrections, the market becomes more predictable and technical analysis more accurate. You do not have to worry because all the coins have turned red. It's a crypto - +-50%/day is a normal thing here))
yes all we need is market recovery time, sooner or later all coins will be green and that's when say to the moon, the only thing to focus on is bitcoin if the bitcoin price stabilizes again then altcoin will also return to normal
I also believe in the recovery of the crypto currency market, I agree that it is just a matter of time. But in my opinion in the future the role of bitcoin will decrease, so the altcoins will depend less and less on digital gold.
