Why it would be spam? You are utilizing blockchain for which it has been invented. Through this process, one can register a file in bitcoin blockchain, blockchain only store the hashes of this file. manselr was hacked and now sharing merits. Here is a scenerio of his recent merit sharing. He has shared 49 merits between 2 accounts on December 01 within 40 minutes. Most probably those are alts.  Your thoughts on tagging those accounts? In my opinion, those accounts should be tagged.

I think we don't need giveaway thread for merit anymore since we do have a dedicated thread by merit sources. Everyone can post a link to merit worthy post there. Some of the active sources will visit and share merit there. Also, your thread doesn't fit to be posted in meta, IMO. |

In future maybe adding an extra membership such as silver or gold membership so new users can at least add an avatar. My last account got stolen several years ago and I never got it back. Now it’s much harder (more like impossible) to get higher ranks so at least giving people a chance to pay for having an avatar. To those saying it’s fine put yourself in others shoes and imagine losing your account. Also bounty hunters/account farmers won’t pay to have an avatar. Thank you from reading.  I'm also saying it's fine. For your info, I have started with 0 merits approx 4 months ago and now I am on the way to full member-->way to the avatar. I have the confidence that I will be full member on next activity update on 15 January. You are here with 2 posts saying it's harder. It's nothing harder man. Yeah I have read it.
Problem is majority users are not aware of how to use trust system and merit system
So mostly for trust, its big level what i was referring to is having trust from one DT person, bcoz that will be visible to everyone.
I think forum moderators can see how many poeple have custom trust setting, i assumption is that they should be very very few.
May be BT should start some area to educate or some weekly email to users with these details, or whoever sign-up few should get somehow to use this platform effectively.
It's true that custom trust list is used by only a few people. I personally am not using custom list because I trust most of the DT people and I want to see feedback from them by default. Theymos is promoting/encouraging people to use custom trust list by the forum ads slot. Check the 60th number text in factoid slots. |

So until I get trust from some very big level it won't be visible enough.
There is nothing called big level although we have some members called DT. If everyone uses a custom trust list, the DT member will not be big level anymore. If you have included someone in your trust list, you will be able to see his feedback to other's profile or in your profile. I think you should again read the two threads earlier I suggested and try to understand how it works. |

Unfortunately, not much can be done, because trust aren't moderated on Bitcointalk.
But trust spam is moderated. It's a pure spam and should be cleaned such feedback. I wish theymos gives a little attention to it. OP can pm theymos or wait for an answer from some more experienced persons. Trust spam isn't allowed. If I see anyone posting dozens of fake trust ratings (from one account or many alt accounts), I will delete all of their ratings

The guy really deserve it if he was approved. I have been also following this guys post and relatively mosy of them where good and you can learn from it. Just wishing he gets what he want and share some love with his smerits to other good guys also. BTW, the post he presented for proof or pre requisites in applying a source merit was totally a very good find.
If you read couple of posts from this post, you would know that ETFbitcoin is now officially a merit source. Joining in a discussion from only OP isn't good at all. You should check what other people are saying. You should read all the replies and only then you will be able to create a merit worthy post. In the past week, I merited 50 different posts on 1 day, and finally made a dent in "my own" sMerit stash.
Therefore, I think you have been touched another record like the previous one sending 4 sMerits within 1 second. However, is there any list of people who have sent the most merit within a single day. I mean based on how much time a person sent sMerit within a single day or 24 hours. I know you are the winner. But would love to have the other persons name. |

Am I missing something here? I have been merited 3 times today from 4.00 am to till now but I am still not included in the list. I have tried refreshing my profile but it doesn't work. Is that a bug or misunderstanding from my side.

You can report the good posts here as long as you run out of sMerit. I also think that those merit sources who are running out of sMerits, should get more sMerits per month. It will increase the equality in the merit system. |
