i mention to one of dedicated pool operators that blocks between pools and block explorer didnt seem right.told him what blocks everyone was on.His reply i quote "its close enough"   nova and block explorer match up. dedicated pool is on a fork, their difficulty is very low compared to what it should be. so they fucked up or we are fucked up? All other pools seem to be on same chain as block explorer, therefore safe to say dedicated is on the wrong fork. I would suggest miners move to another pool until dedicated fix the issue. |

Agree, this is bad PR.
I don't know why or what the dev is doing. I asked yesterday for the cam site bounty, Sushi said he had asked but not gotten a response from the dev.
The original bounty was 400K, I only asked for 300K. I figured Sushi could use the rest for promotion.
I was/am planning to use the bounty for promotion as well.

I am not sure yet but I guess We have a defective Dev, probably the same guy who started the FUD on twitter. He has control of Dev account which was shared between 6 people. POS works perfect as far as I can tell... It is so sad what greed does to some people. don't fall for this FUDster. Probably bribed by some coin competitor... Sushi will update you on this soon.

not worth buying or mining it right now  If u believe the dev,you can buy some~ it will go down to 200 until pow is over If it wasn't for miners just dumping for whatever they can get, the price would be doing much better and the coin would look much sronger. Others do not understand when the price keeps going down investors get scared and do not want to touch a coin. There has to be a balance between miners and investors. Pesa had too many coins flooded on the market at one time which prevented growth. As soon as Pesa was available on Bittrex miners just dumped away which left investors holding bags. I do agree with this, I'm holding in the hope as block reward decreases miners will push the price up again. I also believe POStr will be the next fad. Miners never help increase the price, investors and whales increase the price. If it wasn't for constant dumping Pesa would be trading much higher. I'm basing this on the expectation that miners will not dump coins at a loss, therefore as block reward decreases they will increase the price through manipulation or natural demand. |

What can be done to turn the coin around to 8-10k where it was? How about implementing a quick and dirty anon, which on its own would bump the price up to at least 6-7k.
Look at BTCD with lower specs than ZS, also SHA256, it has 6x or so the number of ZS coins, has no features and only made a promise to implement anon by end of POW and the price is sky high and with that I mean 50k+. I have never seen a coin with 3.8M coins trading at 1000 sats. That is just ridiculous. A quick and dirty anon should do the trick.
I once heard a wise man say "Anyone selling ZS under 10k is a dick".
BTCD is a P&D full of hype and speculation at the moment. I have made good returns off of BTCD so far based on this and I know there is a good chance I will be out of BTCD within a month once it inevitably dies. Don't compare Zim to BTCD, as they are in two very different coins. Now here are some ideas: Roadmap / whitepaper on Zimstakes future Android wallet Update to next gen wallet (in built exchange, blah blah blah) Simple Anon mixer option Creation of Zim foundation to handle Marketing, PR, and consumer adoption. IMPORTANT : 1) Never disappear again like you did . ( sorry if you had an emergency , i hope everything goes well for you know) = BUT , i'm in the TOP 5 rich list zs Holders , i trusted you when i bought the currency = so may be i deserve the right to open my mouth  I don't see it as being fair to put this type of pressure on CG. We all have lives outside of crypto. Sometimes our real world lives take an unexpected turn and pull us away from other parts of our lives. In say that, I believe first and foremost we need to look into the Zim foundation. We need a group of pro zimstake supporters to come together and look after zim and its community whenever CG is not available. We can then focus on the other items listed as I believe they are at least achievable in the short term. |

An open letter:
Dear Dev and Community.
I must admit I'm very impressed with what you are trying to create here. So impressed that I have been throwing ~ 55mh/s at the coin for over 3 days. I missed the launch but got in at the end of the 16 diff round and have stuck around. However as a somewhat experienced miner there may be a few reality checks that need to be discussed.
1. The hashrate is tanking. Why? Because nobody knows about the coin. Why? Because you all are too busy being idealistic rather than pragmatic. Yes, I'm a miner and probably talking through my wallet. But I've got to pay the bills like everyone else. The coin needs to have a value sooner rather than later to attract interest. Which leads me to point 2.
2. Exchanges. Several pages of waffle have been devoted to exchanges. Should we, shouldn't we, which one. All wasted electrons. You don't get to pick an exchange, they pick you. If you are not careful some 3rd rate exchange will pop up and list BTM. That is a kiss of death. I would suggest approaching Bittrex ASAP. They are probably the pick of the 2nd level exchanges and also the most likely to list a promising coin. Don't over reach. Avoid Craptsy if at all possible. I hate them with a passion. Sorry - personal opinion. But before any exchange will show any interest you need to think about point #3.
3. Supply and demand. I have no problems with the supply. It's issue rate is just about perfect. Demand however is a problem. Why would anyone want to own BTM? It has no real world usage. The fact is that the only crypto with real world usage is BTC. I can buy everything from a house to a hooker with BTC. There are various coins that have tried to enable real world usage of their coin. NLG springs to mind. I can buy a Subway sandwich with NLG. Shame I live 10,000 miles away from The Netherlands and their 2 Subway shops.... The coin either needs to become a trusted source of value like LTC (which has no real world usage) or a coin that can be used in real life. I'm guessing that being the next LTC is a worthy goal but is it achievable?
I'm putting my flame proof suit on now.. Although I'm hoping that people read through the above post twice before lashing out. I'm not a troll, just the opposite, I'm one of the top miners of this coin and I want it to succeed. I'm ben96c on the pool if you don't believe me.
No need for the flame suit. What your saying does make a lot of sense. Bitmark has built a solid foundation, now lets venture out into the wild crypto world. I feel with coinsolidation as the dev, yes BM can be the next LTC. |
