221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: March 13, 2024, 09:41:13 PM
The AEVO coin was listed today with an approximate starting price of $3.4. I've acquired 17 coins, so that was a quick $50~ within a couple of days; not too bad. I'll hold them for a few days to see how it performs.

The 49th Launchpool project was also announced today, Ether.fi, will be available for farming in a few hours, 14-03-24 00:00 UTC and will run for four days. It will then be listed on the exchange on 18-03-24 at 12:00 UTC.
222  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reee: Which campaign has the most spammers? on: March 11, 2024, 09:57:41 AM
Yep, basically the same as recent case with LUCKMCFLY. According to their rating sheet, he was their "best" poster for months in a row, consistently receiving top ratings from the whole team. This is pure sheep mentality at its finest, or just blatant manipulation.
Wow, did anyone else notice that some posters with supposedly higher ratings have a higher maximum quota? There are a few users with up to 85 maximum paid posts per week. I remember having a 60 post quota, but it seems they've changed their policy and it now depends on your rating, something that I don't recall seeing a few months ago that I had gone through their announcement thread.

Quote
The maximum total of paid posts you can have is based in your previous week final rating based the following data:
7,25 to 7,49: up to 50 posts
7,50 to 7,99: up to 60 posts
8,00 to 8,49: up to70 posts
8,50 to 10: up to 85 posts

On top of that, the reported user borovichok has a score of over 7.5, deeming him as a good poster, by 3 different individuals.
223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anxiety in trading (heart disease) on: March 09, 2024, 06:43:06 PM
I'm an anxious person myself. When I first started trading a few years ago, I couldn't handle my emotions; it was an emotional rollercoaster. I managed to make decent returns through it by risking relatively reasonable amounts, ranging from $300 to $700 at a time. Although the returns were more than decent, in most cases at least, I couldn't handle the stress, which was one of the main reasons I stopped, along with worrying too much and spending more time than I should have on top of a screen.

I'm now in better shape in terms of anxiety, but I still refrain from trading. The closest I've come is trading the launchpool tokens, which are basically free money; thus, the anxiety factor is non-existent. With that being said, I couldn't imagine someone with a heart condition on the trading scene. Trading is unfortunately not for everyone, especially those with mental issues and uncontrollable stress, let alone someone with something more serious, like a heart condition. Imagine what could happen if you combined both.
224  Economy / Economics / Re: A course worth studying ? on: March 09, 2024, 05:51:32 PM
Those who have studied economics in college may not necessarily be able to apply what they have learned in their daily lives and what is very important for everyone is to be able to manage their finances well because this is not an easy thing to do. carried out by each person and related to courses that are worth studying, of course this really depends on each individual and we cannot force other people to study a field that they really don't like, of course they won't be able to finish what they started, but we can suggest other people if they like it, of course they will follow what we suggest.
Those who have studied economics may fail to apply what they've learned or prove their worth in a job. Someone in IT who's a website developer or who's into data analysis has solid work that they can show to prove what they're capable of.

@OP, I've been in your position because I've studied economics, and there are many times that I look back and ask myself what I could have done differently. To be honest, I'm not sure what to answer. If I were to choose another sector, I'd choose something more specific than economics, such as logistics, anything in the IT sector, or even a handyman's skill, such as electrician, mechanic, plumber, and so on. I'm positive that you get my point.

Personally, I'm now after a data analysis course, not sure if it interests me enough to dig further, nor am I expecting to find a job through the course. I'm simply trying to broaden my horizons and see if I can excel at something specific that the job market requires.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: March 09, 2024, 04:43:50 PM
Dear, did you stake any amount for the formation of the AEVO token? yes, I am aware of this project already this project is of Decentralized exchange project and is still not listed on any other exchange. Actually, I did not stake any amount for the formation of this token due to some personal reasons. What do you think about this project? Does this project have good potential? as the team is working on its ecosystem still. Well if this project has potential and according to those speculating prices you aforementioned this may be going to be a good project.

Besides this as I said AEVO is still not listed on any other exchange it is directly going to list on Binance which is Tier one exchange. which gives us some positive signals about this project and when other good exchanges will start to list this project on their exchanges then there will be a good volume of amount coming into this project which will make the price higher and the project strong. Well for now project is in its early stages. we may see a downside in price after the listing of AEVO. DYOR! What do you say?
I'm staking FDUSD and some BNB; unfortunately, I don't have too much BNB, which renders staking a lot less profitable, as rewards are distributed 80% on BNB and only 20% on FDUSD. I've done zero research on this project, and if I were honest, I don't do any kind of research on most of these tokens. I just farm my coins there, hoping for the best. I'm trying not to miss a single one, because when I did, it was with the token Fusionist (ACE). Due to my own boredom and postponing, I staked only during the last one or two days. Reading predictions and analyses wasn't helpful either, because most articles I read weren't too promising.

However, it launched with an extremely high price—over $12, possibly more, but I cannot remember exactly—and lost the opportunity to make over $100 within 5 days. For this reason, I've decided not to miss another project.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: March 09, 2024, 04:06:24 PM
I feel like such an idiot! I haven't updated the topic with the latest Binance Launchpool project, AEVO, a decentralized derivatives exchange platform (not sure what that exactly means, but that's what Binance is stating). The AEVO tokens are open for farming for 5 days, and trading will open on Wednesday, March 13th, at 10:00 UTC. Some users on Binance are speculating a starting price of over $2 with the anticipation that it will exceed $3 or even $4 shortly after its launch.

Throwback two projects behind. I had mentioned that I hadn't sold my Pixel tokens yet; well, today I did, as it pumped up to $0.80 per coin, which resulted in an almost $100 profit.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 09, 2024, 02:29:10 PM
It's not happening too frequently again but it used to happen very much back in the days and I have done it too. One time I was too desperate to gamble as I was sure of myself of being very lucky that day but didn't have any money on me, I sold my watch and used the money to gamble, I lost all the money that day still and ever since I don't try doing it again regardless of how sure of myself about a game. Even if I get a cheat to use for winning, I won't sell any of my property to do that.

Visit physical casino and you might encounter some individual doing this, some gamblers would had over gambled more than they budgeted for and they don't have any more money on them therefore they'll have to sell something on them to raise the money to pay the casino. Those that are victims are always gambling addicts or those individual that are too greedy, they always want to win but aren't lucky.
Understandable, the online casinos have severely impacted the attendance at physical ones, thus, you can't bet your watch or smartphone when you're behind a computer; you can sell them though, which isn't too different.

Back to you now, at least you're acknowledging that your approach wasn't the best, your text sounds apologetic and that you've regretted it. I'm guessing became a lesson to not get carried away like that again, because you'll only lose in the process. It's a very unfortunate scenario, I'm imagining that these items sold on casinos just to keep gambling are often gifts from loved ones and it just looks too painful to give away something like that.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: March 09, 2024, 10:47:37 AM
I've also heard similar stories, and it's quite frequent to hear such superstitions or about positive energy or auras. I don't believe in the concept of luck either; I believe in the mathematics behind probabilities. Some people argue that I'm too dogmatic for not adhering to such beliefs, but throughout my years I relied on scientific evidence, something that can actually be proven in practice.

And to answer your question, yes, the definition of the word superstition describes what you already said yourself: mental reasoning.

Quoting the definition from the Britannica website
Quote
Superstition, belief, half-belief, or practice for which there appears to be no rational substance. Those who use the term imply that they have certain knowledge or superior evidence for their own scientific, philosophical, or religious convictions.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greek 2023–24 Super League Predictions & Discussion on: March 09, 2024, 08:24:26 AM
Yeah the playoff format gives so many big matches for the super league. Panathinaikos Olympiakos matches this season however were not that impressive to be honest. Hopefully the playoffs will make up for it.

As of the OFI Lamia match, I don't know. The odds seem too uncertain to draw a conclusion.

I'm not that inspired to take many bets this match day. I think I'll stick to just this bet:

Either AEK scores a lot, or receives a goal but still wins. I think over 1.75 is a safe enough choice for 1.4 odds.
Indeed, this weekend isn't as promising as the previous ones. I'm guessing you meant OFI vs. Kifisia, not Lamia, am I right? I'd consider OFI vs. Kifisia. I suppose it's a nice idea to support the local team, but money is money, and it's likely to end in disappointment. It's quite unclear who's going to win, as both teams share similar performances in the Super League. I'm also leaning towards AEK vs. Lamia for now, and I'll perhaps reconsider OFI, depending on the odds.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A call to self-examining our gambling habit. on: March 09, 2024, 06:31:09 AM
I do not need self-examining because I gamble responsibly. As long as I can keep my gambling funds well, there is no need to examine my gambling habit because I have calculated it before I start my gambling session. In my opinion, self-examining will only remind that you have lost much money in total and you'll start to regret it and maybe it will lead you to force yourself to have an idea or plan about how can you recover your total loss.
Even in cases where you're gambling responsibly, a self-awareness check might be necessary after a trivial loss. I lost a bet on football the previous weekend. It came from a match that I least expected, these are the ones that hurt the most, so I was honestly a little mad, but that's how it goes. We can't always win. I started gathering my thoughts. I was also a bit emotionally distressed due to other issues in my daily life, which, combined with dealing with a loss while being upset because of other issues, isn't the most fruitful combination. Thus, a self-awareness check is necessary, in order to gather and organize your thoughts before you go ahead and do something stupid, such as a gambling frenzy session.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 08, 2024, 08:37:02 PM
It's all part of the game; you'll make mistakes, no matter how experienced you are. I'm not exactly sure, but I've lost bets due to internet hiccups or simple glitches such as bets not registering or not cashing out on time, which happened to me once on Crash Game. I'm not going to name the platform, though. The worst mistake, however, is not taking risks and avoiding action. I've missed several opportunities at football games in which I didn't participate for stupid reasons such as forgetting to place the bet or giving up after a loss.
232  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reee: Which campaign has the most spammers? on: March 08, 2024, 02:58:27 PM
I used the same AI detection website to test one of your most recent posts, and it came up 100% AI generated. Do you still believe the report, or are you using AI to post?

If I run your complete post history through the same system, I'll get more. These tools are imperfect and cannot be used.

https://sapling.ai/ai-content-detector/e5dc28b08011e3873a9da1980615e942
I'm not saying that these scanners are 100% accurate, try testing a few more websites on your reported posts, which as I mentioned already, looked AI-written, does mine look like it was written by an AI? Probably not, you can also ask other members. You believe that I want to prove my point but I actually don't. I'd rather be proven wrong and that your posts are actually human written, because it would suck seeing someone lose their spot in their signature campaign and/or in the forum.
233  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reee: Which campaign has the most spammers? on: March 08, 2024, 01:56:40 PM
You are entitled to your opinion, but I will not be pressured into admitting to something I did not do, and if the manager is fine with whatever the website detector report says, she can remove me; I do not want to be the reason the campaign is receiving negative energy. This is not pride; it is understanding who you are and not allowing others do it for you.

Thought I was leaving the reputation and Meta board for good
Most AI writers have a very specific way of typing—too formal or robotic—using certain expressions and words and some other characteristics. Your posts fit perfectly with what I'm referring to. It seems that you have nothing to say in your defense; if it were just one or two posts, I could possibly claim that it was a false positive, even though they look AI-written; however, Nutildah reported 9, which all fit perfectly into the category I just mentioned, and multiple detectors have shown the same results, so it's not my, his, her, or someone else's opinion.
234  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reee: Which campaign has the most spammers? on: March 08, 2024, 01:09:14 PM
Both of you summarized the problem of Stake campaign. I gave the manager a suggestion the last time on the former thread, but it seems they implemented what they think is the best.
The rating system is deceitful. If there's a way the participants will complain they may. I have looked at the posts of the users with good ratings, the only criterion for rating is "the length of post". These guys paste wall of texts making it impossible for anyone to read and engage in healthy conversation. There are some good posters in that campaign, but the rules is gradually turning them all to spammers.
  • Remove the bonus system
  • Cap the campaign at $100
  • Remove the post raters, I don't think they are need
  • With your weekly budget, your avatar and signature will still dominate the gambling board
I don't think we should expect much when the maximum quota is at 60 posts, and you're receiving a 20% bonus on each post made on the gambling board. The gambling board is flooded with nonsense. It's extremely common to see replies that have nothing to do with the subject of the topic!

I don't doubt that there are participants who create decent posts, but there's a large number of them who're after the maximum they can receive. I'm not going to jump into assumptions to judge their financial situation, and I'm referring to users from third-world countries, but I'm going to remain to the statement that you cannot write constructive and contributing posts when you're after such a quota. I personally couldn't imagine myself writing so many posts and remain on-point; I'd have to spend all day on the forum and still, I would either run out of subjects or a large number of my posts would be of substandard quality.
Sometimes it makes more sense to include more details in conversation rather than simply one or two liner responses. Most people are more interested in the details and how you came to such a conclusion than the answers themselves.

Stake signature is no different from other campaigns; they are only receiving negative energy because the manager does not belong to any club or pays more attention to forum politics, the DT, or the Merit system.

Four experienced individuals grade stake participants, and users with negative evaluations are dropped. My postings are misinterpreted for AI-generated content since they are perhaps too brilliant to be written by humans. I guess.
I think it would be better to own up your mistake and move on, and perhaps, you'd be forgiven by your campaign manager, community or whoever else. The deleted posts were 100% written by an AI software, I can distinguish if it's written by AI without even checking it with any kind of scanner. Most of the times I'm on point, I've reported a handful of users in the past and can now recognize them with decent accuracy. You've been caught, and this isn't the first time either. You don't seem to be learning from your mistakes.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indirect victims of gambling addiction on: March 08, 2024, 10:48:58 AM
Sad stories like this I often hear, even outside this forum, often occur in gambling that is often done by someone such as slot gambling which is very popular in my place.

There are many who are addicted and end up using money that should be used for other important purposes, such as for family needs,
for marriage, for savings and even money used for insurance.

Those who are not directly involved will be affected.
So before gambling, it is better to think in advance where the source of funds is used.
I only use small funds for gambling, and it is not related to any needs, it is just entertainment.
Unfortunately, with the advance of technology and online casinos, it has become quite common in our society. I personally haven't witnessed such a case myself, but I have heard similar ones from acquaintances and, of course, on local news internet pages. However, I've seen quite a few people my age being addicted, gambling great amounts of money till they basically go broke—no exaggeration, without a care in the world. All they care about is how to obtain money and from whom they're going to borrow or have money sent to them (such as their parents) in order to gamble again.

Even in such cases, the victim isn't only the gambler himself; it's their friends and their family as well. Imagine doing that when you have a partner or a family of your own.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 08, 2024, 06:41:22 AM
Addiction, greed and desperation of chasing the losses.

You'd see this normally in the physical betting shop when someone who still want to gamble but has lost everything that he brought. You'd be surprise that someone is going to approach you and will sell the gadgets that he's got and even watches that they wear.

At much worse case scenario, even the branded things that they have like clothes, bags, and all of those material things. That's why it's not shocking when someone goes to that point of losing everything but just can't accept defeat and want to stay longer through means of selling their stuff.
I've never been to a physical casino, and I'm not planning to, but I'm dumbfounded that people actually do this. Has anyone witnessed himself seeing someone trying to sell their watches, phones, or other gadgets they're using just to continue gambling after already losing a large sum of money? I believed that it only happened in the movies; that's the only place I've seen it, but I hadn't realized that this is probably something that isn't unusual in the real world. I didn't see many replies claiming to have witnessed it, so that at least makes me a little more optimistic that it's not happening too frequently. However, it's not too different from selling your personal belongings in order to acquire money to gamble., which unfortunately is a common behavior addicts engage in.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: March 07, 2024, 10:45:56 PM
It's extremely high to involved crypto with gambling affairs when we know fully well that its not easy to cope with the financial crisis and the volatility of the crypto market. We play major roles in enabling the sectors of active flow of the system. Losing and profits are the major goals but we should do whatever it takes to become independent. Using crypto to gamble have never been my intentions because there's a whole lot of things that will go wrong in the system. Gambling is important to some of us here but the strong and wise ones will always get their way through milking the system. It's very easy how to be profitable in the space but it does require more efforts.
I don't understand how your reply is relevant to my post or to the thread itself. The topic of this thread is regarding dealing with market volatility when using valuable coins such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
Many gamblers have stated that the gambling activity they do is just means of having fun without any thought of making money, but I sure there are still several times when mistakes are made under certain conditions.
Like being carried away by the atmosphere and also being too fixated on the pleasure feel so that forget initial goal of having fun and unconsciously make mistake by exceeding limits, this is condition that usually occurs.
No gambler can truly avoid mistakes, even professional gamblers can still experience them even though they are very rare and instability in gambling attitudes is normal.
I gamble for fun but it cannot be denied that certain conditions make me feel different desire by trying to earn more or even recover losses, it just that pressure can always help with the use of really limited money.
Well, we've all made mistakes, especially when starting out, and we occasionally still do, it's inevitable. Gambling's nature isn't really predictable either. We keep seeing posts claiming that they're in for the entertainment. Even though I personally believe that the most important aspect is entertainment, gambling without the money making aspect cannot be considered gambling, and no one would be interested in it without it.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greek 2023–24 Super League Predictions & Discussion on: March 07, 2024, 09:18:30 PM
So here's the play-off schedule

It's interesting to see these matches having come out of a draw because some very interesting matchups came out of it.

First off, Panathinaikos with Olympiakos on the first match? Whoah haha. Derby of the eternal enemies again! We already got it so many times this season because aside of just superleague matches there was also the Greek cup. Now the play off format gives us another. Maybe it becomes tiring after a certain point though.

Other interesting matches are PAOK with Aris. And from the big teams AEK seems to have it the easiest.
Wow, Panathinaikos vs. Olympiakos, the eternal rivals of the Greek Super League; it'll be a hell of a match, and certainly one I'm going to stay neutral for my own sake. I'm more confident that Olympiakos is going to win, but I'd rather not take any sides. AEK vs. Lamia looks like a safe bet. I'd also consider going for PAOK vs. Aris, supporting PAOK, but they're both great-performing teams, and the outcome can hardly be predictable.

What's your take regarding OFI vs. Kifisia? Both have had decent performances in the past few matches. I'm more optimistic about OFI, but it sounds like a risky option if you ask me. This weekend doesn't look as fruitful as the previous ones.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 07, 2024, 06:57:23 PM
Well everyone knows that winning in lottery is something not so easy and it is a luck based chance that will only hit if you are extremely lucky. If we gamble on other games, the chances of winning are far more than as compared to the lottery. Not only that, the amount we need to participate in the lottery is very minimal so a lot of people will lose but they won't be feeling bad about it because they have not lost any big money.

You can participate in lotteries thinking that the little money you put in gambling will go in vain and wasted but if you are lucky, it can win you a jackpot. Its a game of luck and we never know when we may be lucky. Not participating in lotteries means that we are not giving that 0.01% chance of getting quick rich. Since it does take much to participate, many people are willing to try their luck. Just like that mom stories in the OP post, if she hadn't participated and given up, she would not have been the winner of 50,000$.
We're not anticipating thousands or millions of dollars worth of rewards when gambling on other games, which is why our chances are considerably better. Moreover, most gambling games have very specific outcomes (see roulette, dice, football betting, and so on), while the lottery is composed of numerous tickets with only a few actually winning anything of value. Add the low purchase cost and the large audience you mentioned, and your chances are statistically close to zero.

Personally, I'd rather use that money towards something else; these insignificant amounts we're discussing now can easily add up to reasonable amounts that could be used elsewhere.
240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin all time high, is it ETF effects or pre halving cycle on: March 07, 2024, 06:23:19 AM
After years in a bear market and waiting for positive news, we who have been with Bitcoin for a long time really shouldn't be upset because Bitcoin is more expensive today than it was 2 months or 2 years ago - we had more than enough time to buy at prices even below $20 000, not to mention how long we've been below the $40 000 level.

You should always look at things from a more positive angle, because let's say everything you accumulated during the last 2 years is worth up to 4 times more and that's a great thing if we know what interest rates are in banks and how much inflation was during that period. Also, everything you buy today will probably be worth twice as much this year - which is certainly a good reason to be optimistic.
I'm not sure if upset is the right word here, but we had plenty of time and opportunities to acquire more Bitcoin. The bear market lasted quite long, with prices even below $20,000 that lasted months. Opportunities were endless, but unfortunately, I wasn't in the best situation to purchase and stuck to signature campaign earnings. I guess you're right about my approach; the truth is that with an average purchase price of $29,000, I've more than doubled my money and will possibly even triple it in the near future.

The only thing I'm missing is earning more than 3 mBTC per week. Due to the lower value, accumulation was a lot faster than it is now, but that's okay.
