221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Securing Your Bitcoin with a Dead Man's Switch (In Case of Death) on: July 12, 2021, 04:49:17 PM
This actually is quite a good idea, but not something I would do myself since I have already experienced being phished on a public wifi some time ago. Although not that big of a loss, it still frightened me a lot that made me buy myself a new laptop. Which is why I really am against trusting others even an ai with my private keys. Instead though, I might leave a message about the whereabouts of the place where I hid a manually written copy of my private keys. Better yet, leave the location details to a trusted person. Of course, the information that it is about where my private keys are will be kept as a secret. The information will be sealed very well and will only be accessible by the people that I want to have access to it. Like a multiple authentication thing or something like that.

223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you worried about the delta virus variant? on: June 23, 2021, 10:01:31 PM
It is reported to be up to 60% more transmissible. I'm OK, and I'm not taking any precautions, as I haven't been vaccinated, so I still have all my natural immunity.

That belief is what pushed this virus this far. People who refuse to get vaccinated are just making things worse. Not that your fear is invalid but what this does is help the virus reach more people with different body types and DNA. This only makes things more difficult for the frontliners since this just helps the virus find more bodies to get into, making it easier for the virus to find a suitable body to evolve in. Oh well, I guess people just naturally thinks differently from one another despite information awareness.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about Litecoin? on: June 23, 2021, 08:17:13 PM
Well, litecoin sure is a great coin and has a useful function. The problem about this coin though is that unlike bitcoin or other popular coins litecoin doesn't have that much potential in giving huge returns as fast. Not unless you invest huge amounts. And I doubt most people have such luxury of investing lots of $$ in just a single coin. Best approach for this coin would be buying bit by bit and going long term like a year or more. Then again, anything is possible in this industry. So we'll just have to wait and see. Who knows right?
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's up with the recent decline? on: June 23, 2021, 06:01:31 PM
The recent decline was bound to happen. In fact, it was really over due. But regardless, there are only two ways to go; either bitcoin goes back down a bit right now(which is what I am assuming) or goes up to 37k-ish levels of resistance then back to 40k-ish(if it succeeds, and then back again to 30k-ish levels. Short/mid term. After this happens, I expected steady ups. I even think that the month of july will be a great month for every coin.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Real Inflation only happens when Central Banks print High Denominated Notes? on: June 23, 2021, 05:34:41 PM
It may seem very scary looking at it nowadays but in reality, the economical state of the USA isn't that bad yet to be comparing it to Zimbabwe. And even if there already is inflation that is a bit high than what the people on top wants to show, I doubt that it'll get so worse that it'll bring the US to its knees. These people on top won't let that happen since as this happens, the US will lose influence over a lot of things and so will they. Now about its possible effects on bitcoin, your guesses are just as good as mine. Speculaing is the only thing we can do about that and hope our worse fears don't ever happen.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High discount in presale on: June 22, 2021, 07:00:55 PM
Is 75% discount in presale of a project way too high? What do you think will happen to such project giving away too high discount for a presale? Will this cos huge dump or you've seen projects that survives after such massive discount

UPDATE

I meant 75% not $, that was a mistake and thanks for understanding

Such a huge discount is already a red flag for me. But this doesn't mean it will stop me from looking into the use case of the project itself, the people on the developing team behind the project and the community it has currently. Another thing would be how the people of the developing team manage its community and how timely and transparent they are towards everything happening. If most of those are greatly fulfilled, then I do not see why such a discount would be a problem. Rather, it would be a huge plus for the project itself and would make me invest on it gladly.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth vs bnb on: June 22, 2021, 06:26:51 PM
Both are good coins, it's just that ethereum was once dubbed as the second coin after Bitcoin even in terms of price when compared to bnb there is quite a difference. However, now bnb muli is showing its popularity and it can be proven that nowadays a lot of people are starting to use the bep-20 network for reasons of more affordable fees. So if you mean it's about trading then I choose both but for holding I will choose bnb.

Indeed both are god coins as what you have said, and just like you, I am more leaned over to bnb right now rather than ethereum. It was doing good all this time and was resiliently holding its support line but too bad it cannot hold it for long. But that isn't the only reason I have for leaning into bnb more since it is pretty obvious that ethereum will most likely recover as fast as bitcoin when bitcoin starts to pump again. My other reason is that bnb is bringing new innovations to this industry which is becoming more and more of a trend. Not to mention that it also has its main exchange; Binance which is currently an on top of the line exchange. There are so many good things going for bnb nowadays that only a fool would ignore these great things and not jump into the boat. Specially now that all coins on the market are on sale.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red crypto market today on: June 22, 2021, 06:02:22 PM
You are not alone, my friend is experiencing a loss, all of you are experiencing it at this time.
Currently the market is being corrected maybe, when the market is correcting it's a sign of a healthy market. although there was some negative news such as those coming from China, USA and Elon's tweet that sent the market out of control. but I guess, we're used to this aren't we Huh?
rest assured the market will return to green and return to glory, it just takes time to wait for the right time

Most of the investors right now are in losses, even the veterans and technical analyzers weren't exempted. And yes, indeed it is pretty healthy to see a correction as huge as this since most of the pumps that happened were due to sudden hype. But putting that aside, 2013 and 2017 have had similar percentage movements like the ones we experienced right now. Which just shows how good we are now for take off. I have already taken back positions when the price went below 30k and I am pretty happy with my decision.

-My only advice to everyone on bearish times is to look at the bigger picture, when doubt and fear is taking over, zoom out a little from the graphs and see how far bitcoin has already gone from its past years. good luck to you and everyone. TO THE MOON!!!
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China’s Bitcoin ban is short-term negative, long-term positive on: June 22, 2021, 04:52:02 PM
Gotta hand it to this Anthony Pompliano guy for having such great insight. Although it may seem pretty obvious with just common sense, not everyone is capable of using their common sense in a great way. Specially the leaders of countries that pin down the any crypto enthusiast in their country. Very selfish, dumb and short sighted. imagine just how dumb a leader can be to not see the potential of this industry and the benefits it can give to the people and the economical system as a whole.

232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Musk say's he'll re-invest in BTC when +50% of ASIC miners are GREEN on: June 18, 2021, 07:12:47 PM
The troll trolling again just like any normal routine in his Twitter life. Everyone should ignore all the crap coming from this guy. He clearly just wants attention and wants to have as much influence as he can then take advantage of it. Which is why he is saying such things just for the sake of it. And to be honest, I really have no idea why no one ever called him out on his type of business that does way more damage to the environment compared to butcoin mining. Seriously, anyone who still takes his words seriously are just as db as he is if not worse.
233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corona virus, man's biggest lesson on: June 17, 2021, 07:04:18 PM
Same as usual. Government and the medical and the media causing fear in the hearts of people... for nothing, just to gain more control.

Not only to control , but also they are experimenting on how to conquer countries without using the weapons  Cool
If you see and analysis the percentage of people dying from Covid-19 that you will realize that it is not as deadly as the fear which is being raised by the media.

Somehow this kind of makes sense. Countless wistle blowers are popping out of nowhere more often than before trying to expose people or entities that are up to no good. While others may be attention seekers or paid for by some group of people, there is a high possibility that there are a few that are really speaking the truth. Just imagine how huge the numbers are. We cannot just rule out the chance of someone actually telling the truth. Too bad people never really care that much about these things and tend to ignore or laugh about this matter. If things keep going like this, legitimate wistle blowers would be hesitant to reveal the truth they know and people would stay blinded all throughout their lives. This is just sad.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I don't buy Polkadot now on: June 17, 2021, 05:45:46 PM
This is quite scary. I just entered polkadot at 24.something and currently at a loss right now. Seing the links you provided I feel bad for not being able to say to myself that you're just another guy trying to make fud about this altcoin. Man, I wanted to go on uniswap but chose this instead since a lot of people were so positive about this altcoin. Should I just pull out what I can or is there still a chance for me to get back my losses and maybe a few profits? I'm so confused right now.
polkadot is an altcoin that is still new and certainly takes time to develop so in my opinion if you are stuck at a high price then you should be patient and wait until the price goes up again because if you sell it at a low price then it will only make you lose when the price can go up again sometime later.

Yes, I was also thinking about the same thing. But again, as what I have said, the OP's post really makes sense and it scares me quite a lot knowing that I invested on a high. Specially now that the price of polkadot is currently decreasing more and more. I checked those links last time and I just can't get rid of the thought of losing my hard earned money. I'm still quite hesitant though since my gut tells me I should hold on for a little bit longer. Maybe I'll just try to hold out for this month and wait and see what happens 1st week next month before I decide. I just hope the price doesn't dump too much till then :/
235  Economy / Economics / Re: George Soros and Bezos have paid almost zero taxes on: June 17, 2021, 05:01:59 PM
I don't understand why people make this a big deal, if you want to be rich, you need to be smart, these people employed huge number of people and also contribute to society through their foundations, who do you trust to do more to the society, bureaucrat or these billionaires

Makes sense, but the problem is that most of the time, these billionaires are the ones controlling the governments. May sound like your typical conspiracy theory but considering how these people can get away with just about anything due to their money and influence, it wouldn't be too far stretched to believe that some if not all, are the ones who sponsored politicians behind the scenes and put them in place so that these billionaires can control them at will.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran also wants to legalize crypto on: June 17, 2021, 04:21:02 PM
A few days ago EI Salvador allowed bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies in the all sphere in daily purposes. They allow daily households activities for exchanging with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It's a good sign for bitcoin. Of iran wants to legalize cryptocurrencies in their economic systems, then it would be another good news for Cryptos.

Well yeah, for sure it is a good thing but still, I don't know if Iran will really decide to go through with this since just recently the world bank refused to help nor support the efforts of el Salvador in legalizing crypto currencies. With this, it seems that the world bank is really standing firm with their hate for this industry that they openly humiliated el Salvador. Just when I thought things were going good for el Salvador, then this happened. Still through, the president of El Salvador wouldn't be so dumb to not expect things like this to happen.. oh well, lets see what the president does next.

238  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: June 16, 2021, 08:54:03 PM
Yup, the most typical misconception about money and wealth. It is not the money that is evil but the deluded minds that use money as an excuse to somehow alleviate the guilt the feel from their actions or to sway people's judgemental minds. The most vutal things that makes a huge difference between stupidity, greediness, and contentment are the person's knowledge and morals. Which can only be instilled deeply at home and by the efforts of parents/guardians to provide proper guidance and educational opportunities for the children.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network -- Is it GOOD? on: June 16, 2021, 07:37:45 PM
I really can't think of any reason for this narrative. The only reason that comes to mind is that the original author just wants to spread FUD all over the forum and possibly all over the internet. And it just so happened that OP stumbled upon this that post and just shared it with either good or bad intentions. But the bottom line is that everyone should really study the information they want to share before even doing so specially in this industry since it may cause a lot of confusion and may do more bad than good. This is because by spreading false news you are not helping the majority but instead, helping the cause of the source. Good thing that lots of knowledgeable people have shed light about this matter in this thread that OP started.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMP - The most undervalued DeFi play right now. Read this. Thank me later. on: June 16, 2021, 06:38:43 PM
Dude, stop shilling. Posting it on this forum may mislead a lot of new comers into investing. It seems to me that this coin is already on its peak and about to face a correction sooner or later. It would've been pretty nice if you posted this a bit earlier. Also, at the current state of the market, posting such advice (which looks like a financial advice) can lead to new comers investing blindly and lose a lot of capital. What people like you that has an idea about this industry already should do is to be a good example instead to others than posting something like this.

-To any new comers, play safe and stay out of the market for now, or go long with well-established coins.
