Experienced the same kind of issue. Transferred BTC to my bitstamp account but my account still shows 0 BTC!

Is this a familiar issue?

Thanks!

How long have you been waiting?

For a day right now. My transaction has at least been confirmed for 50 times. So my BTCs are gone but not credited to my account.

Please submit a ticket or PM me your ticket ID if you already did and I'll see what I can do.

Hazek have you received my PM?

Answered and answered.
222  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2350 EUR not appeared in bitstamp on: April 11, 2013, 03:03:46 PM
Bitstamp found my money.  Grin My bank did not use the correct reference so they had to manually process it.

Given the circumstances, I suppose bitstamp did well. However they should probably have an automated reply in very busy times.

We will work on better communication!

Actually I think some people spreading "bubble FUD" might be a healthy counterbalance to the current media hype. Some panic sellers balanced against all the panic buyers make the Bitcoin price rise more evenly. Thanks Mike.

Yep, we need more sellers.

The more research I do into bitstamp the more I think I'm freaking out unneccessarily.   Roll Eyes

We apologize sincerely but we have become victims of our own success I'm afraid.

Bitcoin's rise in popularity has really been great for us and while we know this is in no way an excuse but we increased our user base over 50% in the last two weeks. We also rolled out a new support system and a new account verification system which left us with many duplicate messages and the delays in promptly addressing all these tickets caused more tickets which now snowballed into a serious backlog.

However we fully intend to solve this with our recently increased number of new support agents.

A brilliant article By Jeffrey Tucker:

Quote
“Thanks to Bitcoin, I am now living debt-free, just today managed to pay off all of my credit card debt!” — so reports a poster on Reddit, and the statement was echoed by many others. A currency that not only discourages debt, but earns enough money to pay off previous debt, plus encourages saving?

It seems unthinkable to people today.

Margin trading is a coming. TO DA MOON:

http://techcrunch.com/2013/04/09/coinsetter-lands-500k-from-secondmarket-founder-others-to-help-bring-leverage-shorting-to-bitcoin-trade/

Today, Coinsetter, a New York City-based startup looking to launch a new Forex trading platform for Bitcoin, announced today that it has raised $500,000 in seed capital. The round was led by Tribeca Venture Partners and SecondMarket founder and CEO Barry Silbert (through his Bitcoin Opportunity Fund), with participation from angel investors like Jimmy Furland, a London-based technology entrepreneur, Microsoft Head of Corporate Strategy, Charles Songhurst, and Facebook Product Lead, Ben Davenport.

The investment comes at a time when there’s been a flurry of new interest in Bitcoin, given that the crypto-currency just officially became a billion-dollar market at the end of March. Since then, venture capitalists have weighed in on what they love about Bitcoin, including its potential to not only “disrupt multi-billion-dollar markets, but in doing so also create new big markets,” Lightspeed Ventures’ Jeremy Liew wrote in TechCrunch this weekend.

And how cool is this, they linked my blog post? Cheesy

also any press is good press!

Very False, this was bad press and might have ruined some people views of bitcoins. Plus are you going to take an outspoken rebel as serious, as he should be presenting himself too.

If you think you can do it better, stop whining and go do it better.

I found this video. Let me just say, Amir Takki is a great developer but he can't go talking about and I probably paraphrasing "...it is bringing money laundering from big people to the common people..". This is exactly what type of labels we don't want on bitcoins. Everyone needs to stay away from the "launder" word. Also he talked about how "3-d printing guns" is the way to solve issues with fraud in the bitcoin world. He is a complete rebel, and should not be affiliated with the community. The host even at one point basically had to treat him like a kid and tell him to wait his turn. He is using words that would scare people away. Amir is a great developer, he knows how bitcoin is the future and his passion is amazing. Just the way he presents himself is a little far from what we need in the community to be our voice.

Actually no.

Aside from his visual presentation (which I guess he has his own slightly odd style.. but w/e) his delivery and answers were spot on in this interview. If this is how he can handle public speaking in front of a camera with an earpiece and in the face of heat from three other people, I don't mind it if he takes over every single interview ever done about Bitcoin.

He did an awesome job in this interview. That's right, awesome job.

My Google 2-factor auth has been preventing me from logging in for a few days. Sent an email to nejc.kodric@bitstamp.net but no response.

It says "Invalid authentication code."

What to do?

Please make sure your phone time is synced otherwise it will not generate the right code. To sync your Google Authenticator app on android do this: go to Settings -> Time correction for codes -> Sync now, and for iOS: Settings -> General -> Date & Time -> Set Automatically -> On.

This should solve your issues. However if this doesn't help you, please start a support ticket and we will give you further instruction on how to disable your two factor authentication.
