221  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Suspicious Activity (papundekli22) on: February 16, 2023, 06:54:30 AM
Also, there is a previous negative trust from 2019 regarding loan requests.
Taking a quick look into the given user's post history, it is clear that he is just here for some free bucks since most of his posts are in games and rounds, and lending board. Also, he hasn't contributed much to the forum to gain enough merits, which is why he still got only 10merits with such an old account. All these facts lead to only one thought, he is here just to "earn and run".
222  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [Tutorial] BlueWallet - Bitcoin Wallet Discussion on: February 16, 2023, 05:35:02 AM
-- What other wallets have this feature?  In casual searching, I have not found any easy-to-use wallets that do have Payjoin.
Although there are not many available wallets who support payjoin feature, upon searching I found a few along with bluewallet like wasabi wallet, BTCPay server, and Joinmarket. I haven't tried this feature myself yet but I know it is used for increased privacy.
More about payjoin and supporting/non-supporting wallets list : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/PayJoin_adoption

I see here that even bitcoin core doesn't have payjoin? Can someone confirm this?
223  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin market speculation for the month on: February 16, 2023, 02:56:06 AM
$25,000 within February is an easy target.
And we already hit 24939 on bybit and most exchanges (almost 25k). This was at 22k yesterday. Who would have imagined such a price increase after a not-so-good cpi data which came just day before yesterday? This time bitcoin even shocked the Americans lol. Remember guys, If it goes above 25.2k, 30k will happen real quick, no stoppage in between.
224  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [Tutorial] BlueWallet - Bitcoin Wallet Discussion on: February 16, 2023, 02:40:36 AM
It's really strange that electrum wallet isn't available on iOS though it is available for MAC OS. Also, they haven't released a better version for Android, don't know the reason for this ?
The popularity they have gained over the time they should have come up with best apps for both Android and iOS, but they lack in this.
Maybe because they don't have enough to pay to Android and ios developers? There is no incentive for the devs to develop it in these OS since they don't earn or get anything being a non-profitable wallet. You can ask the same for mycelium or bluewallet, why haven't they released a better app for desktop? Why are they just better in mobile mode despite being so popular?
225  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Localbitcoins.com] Is Closed. on: February 15, 2023, 11:59:58 AM
Just received a email
You're late, this is already an old news and we already got few topics created on this.

We are therefore sad to share, that regardless of our efforts to overcome challenges during the ongoing very cold crypto-winter, we have regretfully concluded that LocalBitcoins can no longer provide its Bitcoin trading service.
Its not due to crypto winter, but because they cant serve their customers properly Smiley Otherwise, there are exchanges who shine stronger after the crypto winter lol. Ah well, who knows if crypto winter ends here with them closing down ? That should be a perfect punch in the face.

Why pay such high fees when you can go on Binance and pay less?
Right, and btw you dont pay any fee for p2p trades on binance. Its completely free.

@OP, you should move this to exchanges board.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 15, 2023, 01:34:43 AM
Thanks again everyone! Mempool traffic is kinda bonkers lately huh!? Is this mostly from inscriptions/ ordinals?

Correct, the trend continues towards the upside after Luxor, a bitcoin mining pool, mined a record-setting 3.96 MB block (#774,628) on the Bitcoin blockchain[1]. We are witnessing a sharp around 122% increase in btc network fee one week after this[2]. Its mainly caused by ordinals + we got some cpi data yesterday which increased the volatility and maybe transactions increased a bit more causing more congestion.

227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will The FED pivot? on: February 14, 2023, 04:17:57 PM
Update:
New CPI data just in:
US CPI:
6.4% YoY, 0.5% MoM
Forecasted: 6.2% YoY, 0.5% MoM

US CPI Core:
5.6% YoY, 0.4% MoM
Forecasted: 5.5% YoY, 0.4% MoM

Unfortunately we got a higher than expected readings this time, now gotta see how the FED reacts to this in the next rate hike meeting. So far the markets are holding but hope they keep holding up the following week. After this data, Im 50-50 on both sides. Maybe they will raise rates by 50bps on the next one?
228  Economy / Reputation / Re: First Bitcoin earning (Signature) on: February 14, 2023, 05:22:30 AM
Or do another thing you can trade with your bitcoins which will help you collect more bitcoins.
I won't recommend this to a person who is working so hard enough to get those 40$ worth of btc. If he looses it in his first trade itself, he will be quite demotivated. Let him (l)earn through other sources and collect enough money first so that he can trade with a few percent later.

Currently bitcoin market is fluctuating between 20k to 25k so it is good time to trade.
Would seem offtopic, but where do you think the price will go from here (21.7k currently)? 20k or 25k Wink
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: why Bitcoin Dumping ? on: February 14, 2023, 03:29:02 AM
Imo, The most recent dump is caused by the traders who saw the weekly death cross in the bitcoin's chart. That is why you are seeing btc acting weaker than the spx too, after the last week close. But if the US30 and spx keeps rising today after cpi data, btc will eventually find support somewhere here and start going up again.

The main reason seems to be due to pressure on Binance stablecoin BUSD by the SEC
I don't consider this bad for bitcoin. Instead, such type of news are bullish for btc since any unusual effect on stablecoins will force ppl to get out of it and buy cryptos such as BTC for their own safety.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 10k+ USDT to BTC no kyc deal on: February 14, 2023, 03:13:48 AM
WILL NOT GO FIRST.🚫
I dont think ppl are going to trust a newbie with such large amount. Are you using any trusted escrow or p2p service for your trade?

I'm talking with you on telegram
our deal is canceled, im still awaiting tested 400usd btc refund from you. please come online or you will be reported
Did you get scammed now by another newbie (for 400$)?? Why did you go first here?
Reporting/Flagging wont cost him anything as he just dump this and make another account again, newbie got nothing to loose unfortunately Sad
231  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: HODL Wallet for BTC on: February 14, 2023, 02:30:59 AM
I don't have a problem with it (1 sat), if I can set 0.1 sat, I will do that.
Setting it to 0.1 sat/vB isnt possible imo with any wallet, right? Except maybe lightening network?

Because so far I never exchange my BTC, I always sent to my cold wallet, so I don't have a problem with time, instead, the longer is better such as 10 or 20 years
Unconfirmed btc transactions never get stuck for 20years. There is a limit period of 14days (according to bitcoin core), after that your unconfirmed tx will return back to the sender's wallet. You should atleast pay a fee above the purging transaction fee given in mempool.space, if you dont want to waste your own time. You will have to keep resending it every 14days.

Also, I used a software wallet that has board here. If I used Besides that, apart from testing only find some bugs and weaknesses
Which software wallet?
232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do scammers scale through on Bitcoin talk? on: February 13, 2023, 07:49:59 AM
As I new bie, how do I know someone is a scammer?
If you try to deal with a newbie(without a trusted escrow), there's a 95% chance you'll get scammed. As for dealing with older members, always check for their trust feedbacks, recent activity, etc. If they just woke up after a long period of inactivity and trying to suddenly make a deal with you, they are most likely going to scam you.

What should I do if I meet a scammer on Bitcointalk?
As @Plaguedeath suggested, you may create a flag but you will need ppl to support your flag too. You must open a thread in the "scam accusation" board against the scammer.

What should I do so I won't fall a victim of scam?
Just use your common sense Smiley
233  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Doing some work for Saxydev, Earned $90 but Never received the Payment.  on: February 13, 2023, 06:34:18 AM
Second don't put your private key in the browser just like that..
His funds wont get stolen even if someone knows his private viewkey. Worst case scenario is someone can view his balance.
@OP, get the correct txid from saxydev and try this alternatively in monero client: How to prove a payment was made
In monero-wallet-cli:
Code:
check_tx_key TXID TXKEY ADDRESS
234  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Doing some work for Saxydev, Earned $90 but Never received the Payment.  on: February 13, 2023, 06:00:11 AM
since've 0 knowledge on monero i might need some assistance
You may try to check on https://xmr.llcoins.net/checktx.html (github link) to verify if the transaction contains a output with your public address. You need a tx hash, priv. viewkey, and your (recepient's) monero address.

However by checking @saxydev's trust feedbacks, I think you got caught up with the wrong person.
235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Funding rate problem during perpetual future trading on: February 13, 2023, 05:25:00 AM
Aside the above, i also have never left a position open for more than two hours, infact I rarely leave a position open for  more than one hour,
Which is why you didn't notice the effects of funding rates yet. Most exchanges have a new funding rate round every 8hrs.

@OP, as @adaseb said, funding rates can shift brutally on low-cap altcoins. So, if it does affect your trading style/strategy, just stay with btc and eth. Or just spot trade on alts, or just close your position a few minutes before the funding count comes in and re-open it afterwards again. But you may miss some price action since the rates are triggered at the same time the hourly and 4 hourly candles closes in. This is how it is and we gotta get used to it.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin current price on: February 13, 2023, 04:18:50 AM
In the 2011 bitcoin price bearing was more than now
Today's bitcoin is a lot more different than 2011's. Different exchanges, different traders, more institutions down the line (hence the strong correlation with spx), different bots set to move the prices, etc. You should never compare today's PA with even 2015 or 16 's PA.

Not only is listening to "analysts" a huge waste of time, but you're likely to get inverse results.
I got a trick here. Why not listen to these analysts and do the inverse to get straight results ? ;P
Jokes apart, I think its better to just have a few good sources (whether of analysts or not), to stay updated about the fundamentals and upcoming news which may be a catalyst for next price action. Nothing more than that!
237  Economy / Services / Re: 🚧[CFNP] [banned mixer] | Bitcoin Mixer | Signature Campaign ~ Up to $130/week on: February 13, 2023, 04:08:50 AM
Payments for WEEK 5 will shortly be processed by Coinomize Team. Shasan got the bonus again this week.
Would like to congratulate shasan on a hattrick.
Btw, @julerz12, can you update the link of the payment address provided in the OP? After clicking on it, it leads me to coinomize website instead of a block explorer.
And thanks again for handling the campaign smoothly Wink
238  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: HODL Wallet for BTC on: February 13, 2023, 03:50:42 AM
And, what makes this wallet different from others is we can custom minimal fee be 1 sat,
What is so different about this ? I can set the same custom fee rate on my bluewallet as well (on android) as you can see below in the screenshot.

And Im sure you can do the same on electrum (in a desktop). However it is not recommended to always set such low fees, since your transaction might take a very long time to get confirmed or even get dropped after weeks of waiting.

It looks like they basically made a copy of Breadwallet's source code, made some changes to it roughly 3 years ago and made this wallet.
You're correct. Upon searching, just found out that this wallet is just a fork (copy) of the brd wallet.
239  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: HODL Wallet for BTC on: February 13, 2023, 02:23:33 AM
Does anyone on here use?
I never even heard about this one called "hodl wallet" and Im sure many others haven't as well. But the name sounds very fishy to me.

I always recommend for newbies.
Why would you recommend a not very well-known wallet to a newbie ? I just searched on google playstore, and the app haven't got any single written reviews. Why do you choose this app over others like bluewallet, mycelium ?

If a Mod can please move this to software wallets
Since you are the OP, you can move your thread yourself as well by clicking on move topic option on the bottom right corner of the screen.

P.S. Is the website I entered the correct one ?
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bets.io on: February 12, 2023, 12:42:51 PM
You're in the wrong board mate. This thread should belong to gambling section.

This is an review on bets.io.
Who asked you to give a review on "bets.io" right in your first post? You would be better off posting it in their ANN thread instead of making a separate topic. However, bets team seems to be inactive in the forum, not sure if you should still gamble on this site.
