221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: March 28, 2024, 03:02:40 PM
Yes for sure but it depends on what excites you as a gambler. Personally, it is the thrill and embracing the risk of losing. What excites me is the possibility of winning despite of being nervous regardless of the amount I placed as bet. Well, to some it would be sketchy; gets excited of the risk. But if you're a gambler then you'd understand it for sure. If it is with entertainment then I also have feelings of it but if I'm just after entertainment then I should have just watch sports matches and this is the deal breaker. If you gamble in sports betting and you're happened to be actually a fan of that sports, choosing your bias will be more exciting if there's bet into it simply because of the consequence of losing if it happened to be a wrong guess but a multiplier if it happens to be the right bet. Not to be a hypocrite, but of course profit will always be considered. However, your expectations of it would determine whether excitement will remain the same or will things turn to greed, which is what we should be avoiding  from this industry.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Ethereum's biggest competitor? on: March 27, 2024, 08:27:01 PM
Will always be Bitcoin if by community size and popularity. However, there are other altcoins which are having good market performance lately which is SOLANA. Feel free to check projects running in this chain and decide for yurself whether it is a good coin to invest at this point wherein pump in crypto market prices are obvious. Many altcoins are promising and that uncludes BNB and othersor memetokens are now gaining popularity from the market which is for sure a good factor to consider charging on other units or coins. Ethereum has long existed to be one of the biggest names in this industry. You may think of things or idea that such ocassion will be located by within the result.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the pros and cons of gold compared to bitcoin? on: March 27, 2024, 05:44:44 PM
Pros? Widescale usage or acceptance in comparison with Bitcoin wherein few countries are recognizing its usage as a digital currency. Another is with market price volatility; obviously, the market value of Bitcoin moves more in a more random manner than with Gold which is a bit stable on its current market price. Both are profitable in the long run but with market price direction, then Gold is more often in upward direction, but of course decline on its price could still take place. Cons? convenience. You cannot obviously pay anytime with Gold also its market value doesn't move that much which makes profit not as big with Bitcoin investment.
The biggest advantage of gold is that it has thousands of years of history behind it, and we know that unless its supply suddenly becomes overflooded, it won't drop in value much. But Bitcoin's value is not understood by anyone, it goes up and down, and so far the long-term trend has been positive, but it could just as easily reverse. To put it simply, Bitcoin is many times more risky than gold. That's why Bitcoin is not a reliable store of value right now, but rather a high risk investment.
With oversupply, I doubt it would last for long. Minerals and other natural resources has limitation with natural generation. There will always a have tendency that Gold will be hard to mine given how limited resources are on this material. Bitcoin has higher risk as an asset but in exchange, it is more potent with higher returns as an asset.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: User experience Trends in Online Gambling: What's Next? on: March 27, 2024, 05:11:01 PM

This discussion aims to discover what users really value and want to see in the development of online casinos.
Well, given how many gambling sites are there, they would for sure be able to cope up with any trend such as AI adoption, new games to be offered and the likes. But things I'd be most happy about in my gambling experience is faster transaction rate and faster solution or response with players' concerns which are usually concerning held funds, restrictions, and more. You could name any game that you want or offers that would be welcoming new players towards a certain platform, however, properly handling of problems within the gambling site, is only evident with few platforms which for me gives the worse experience.

2.No sketchy policies like "perform KYC before withdrawal". KYC should be done before depositing money, not before withdrawing money.

Thank you. That's so right. My thoughts are also for KYC verification to be applied at the top-up stage. I think that this kind of practice would improve the user experience and be a win-win for both sides.

This can be a welcome addition that everyone will appreciate but its not so hard to understand that when KYC is mandatory we will be asked to get verified when we want to withdraw because that is when the gambling platform is responsible to avoid AML and asking up front just reduce the userbase because people want to try the platform first and get familiar before providing their personal details to the platforms.
If it is with KYC procedures then it would be a bit of a problem for the casinos especially those which are registered and those which are just following orders from authority. Many of us know why such procedure is being practiced in many platforms; avoid money laundering and accessibility to minors. I personally have no problem about it since I am doing it for years and fortunately, nothing happened so far which could put me in danger. Again, as I always say, choose the right gambling site that would lessen your worries while gambling.
225  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who can you trust more to handle your business, man or woman? on: March 26, 2024, 07:03:23 PM
I never relied on gender and sexes when it comes to business; it depends on the individual of any race or sexual orientation, whether he would be good or not. Skills, character, and other competencies a company or business will be needing should be more prioritized. Let'w say men are more in numbers when it comes on majority of business fields however that doesn't promote certainty of which sex would be better than the other. There are skilled individual in both categories and your task as the owner is to prioritize business goals in terms of overall performance and productivity. Also, not all businesses have the same culture and environments. If this is going with the idea that "men are better at handling businesses" then that would be a personal belief. Both could be trustworthy, skilled, and with both characters depending on them and not with categorical human traits.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How possible is it to win lottery 14 times using mathematics calculations on: March 26, 2024, 06:11:16 PM
The mathematician might have used probability and statistics to find patterns in lottery numbers. We all know that lotteries are about luck, but I think, using mathematical is an advantage to try to increase chances of winning. Although we should also understand and remember that there is no foolproof method that winning is guaranteed by using these kind of techniques.
I'm quite in doubt, I'd more believe that it's just luck or coincidence. Winning multiple times would indeed create an impression that something is analyzed but if that's the case, given that there is a pattern, why is there no consistency? If he could plan winning 14 times then why don't he make it daily or weekly. Let's say he is needing time to use a certain calculation but I'd only believe it he would be consistent of it given that it is believed he is doing something to win. One of my hesitation of fully believing on this is the fact that there are many mathematicians who are not even winning once, why's that so? Is he really that of a genius to be the only one to do so? And of course, consistency with the outcome. He should be winning in most instances he is betting if such thing really works 'coz if even once or twice the sequence breaks, then that should be a reset of a pattern right?  Also with the idea of how many number combination there is, it is hard or even impossible to accurately predict the right one.

Don't get me wrong, if this is true then I'm happy for him. I am just finding it hard to believe it easily since we all know how small the chance is to win, especially with lottery which is solely dependent with luck. I'm just being realistic of how gambling works.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dana thought he lost $80k one night and his advice for gamblers on: March 26, 2024, 05:36:09 PM

Just want to share.

https://youtu.be/k7aQEqDbuf8?t=4429
He was interviewed on Lex Fridman's channel just today. Funny how he thought it was just $80K but it's actually $3M. Rich men lose more when they get drunk playing blackjack.

He advises about winning and losing in gambling and if you get depressed because of it, gambling is not for you. He meant winning and losing are part of the game where great things and bad things happen.

Unfortunate, indeed but at least he can cope with the loss and that he's not on his worst situation still. Let's say that's because he's rich but if ever such thing will be occuring more frequent then it won't be safe to assume that he'll just be fine on his own. At least he learned something from this mistake of him. Needless to say, we shouldn't be embracing the risk in the first place if we are not fully aware of things. One worse scenario is losing more than what you can really accept once you got up from being unaware. The moment you knew, is the time things are too late and you'd be lucky already if you will be able to accept things instantly 'coz it would be most likely that you won't. It is like answering a mathematic equation while you're sleepy, would you be hitting the right answer, given that things should be analyzed? Most likely, you won't. Chance of losing is bigger so at least be preventive of making your loss bigger even with the smallest things such as maintaining consciousness whenever you are betting.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: March 26, 2024, 04:55:27 PM

Crash games are not going to give you that extra source of income you are looking for.
Using the martingale system in these games is quite risky because sometimes you might lose 20 times in a row
And continuing in this system will make you an addict,, protect your financial life at all cost, stake what you can afford to lose and be disciplined
Well, no gambling game could give you such feat of being a good source of income. Gambling will always be a game of chance and with that, there will always be a tendency for you to lose and as well all know it happens often. I came across with crash games but I never had my interest into it. Many people are into crash games because of big multipliers however, money is just too fast in this game and in the long run, I cannot see someone who bets much and those who will use martingale strategy, will be winning in the long run unless they are lucky enough to do so. Discipline with bets will indeed help you prolong your bankroll but situation won't chage if you'd be continuously losing. Those who enjoys it has valid feelings; maybe they have a bigger tisk tolerance than those who are not into crash games. At the end of the day it is our bankroll and preference of gambling in general, which will complete our gambling experience.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Solana is 20x up but Ethereum is dying, yet for years ppl shill Eth why? on: March 25, 2024, 05:55:30 PM
These two has their own chains and community. This simply means that number of projects aren't equal as well which creates difference with price growth and development. Solana happened to be creating a noise recently because many new projects are now being released in its chain, creating demand and of course support on its market price. Ethereum is still performing well which should still be noted. Comparison on the other hand is due to us users but in the first place we have the freedom to choose between or both of it, what matters is to make profit out of these coins as an investment. Neither of these two are bad coins to invest. Again, coins has its own phase since these two are way far from one another in many aspects.
Dude are you for real how come eth will die inspite of a great movement. Yes sol indeed pump from $8 to current price now but that isnt justify that eth is sinking already you know that its kinda impossible to beat down that 2nd place of eth in terms of marketcap. Solana volume is quite up but surely still far from reaching to ethereum position.
Ethereum is on another level to be compared from a young token which is Solana. Ethereum has an established name already in the market and solana is still on the process of builting its own which for me, makes it no longer surprising to have higher rate of increase when it comes on its maarket value which is still low, meaning, many rooms for growth. Future is bright on these two, no doubt.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 25, 2024, 05:16:28 PM
In a scam between two parties, one would benefit and one wouldn't. Bitcoin is a scam? This is a long term accusation and has never been proven. As far as I know, this originated from instances investors are losing, high market prices that suddenly drops or declines, legaloty of it and the likes. These things are simply due to its characteristics as a cryptocurrency. If you're an investor of Bitcoin who knows what is it as a digital currency, it shouldn't be a problem. In any investment, an investor is required to be 'all-knowing' in order to make valid actions on whatever it is to happen. No investment has no risk, keep this in mind if you are one of those who believes that Bitcoin is a scam. Bitcoin is profitable but due to inconsistencies in its market value and lack of proper knowldege from investor, a wrong decision is being made resulting to loss.
You see, not everyone would accept something new. A lot of people are bent on remaining with the old and never changing or accepting change. So, not everyone would accept Bitcoin. A lot of people, even though they know the fiat currency has the probability of failing, would still put their trust in it because the fiat currency has failed and picked itself from the ground many times. So, I can't really blame anyone

And another reason would be the risk that is attached to Bitcoin. People would call what is a scam, a scam. There's a high probability that their experience with Bitcoin was a terrible loss or maybe they've heard of stories from and about someone who invested their savings in Bitcoin and lost it all. You don't actually expect such a person to believe in Bitcoin anymore. Of course, they already know it as scam, and as such it shall be addressed.

The best thing is to leave people with their different opinions and perspectives. Do you, and follow what you want to.

Well people lose money in any kind of investment. And if they lose money, they tag it as a scam. In many cases, it only becomes a scam because people don't know how to handle or run their investments. Bitcoin, Etherium, Ripple, and other older coins are already established cryptocurrencies and they have people who made money and are making money out of them. So even though there are those seeing BTC as a scam, it's obvious that it isn't anymore at this point. It's just a little too expensive now for those who are just planning to buy BTC if you're not aiming for a long hold.
Most likely that's their defense mechanism to ease their regrets on their actions. If hou have bitcoin holdings and the market price declined in an instant, loss is just temporary as long as you do not choose to sell already to a purpose of cutting the loss. Check the charts and that would answer whether recovery has a chance or if it is hopeless. Valid actions will always result to a positive outcome.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 25, 2024, 04:37:14 PM

Do you think gambling/casinos will lose it popularity since chunk number of their clients are from sport bookies section?
Could be lessen but not totally losing their players. Lessen in terms of football fans who are into sportsbetting but as we all know, not all people are only placing bets on football games but also with other sports such as Basketball, boxing, and UFC fights. Is there such person who is into sports but with football alone? There could be but for sure there are more people who are into multiple sports. One reason is gambling itself. Not all gamblers are big fans of sports, there are even bettors who are just making their bets thru signals from communities. Also, there is more likely a bigger number on gamblers who are into matches inside and outside football, wherein odds are good. These variations could disintegrate the idea that sportsbetting will be falling just because football, in this case, would be restricted.

Same idea goes with other gambling games; poker, baccarat, dice games, slots, roulettes, and more wherein gamblers could freely move to one after another. Preference exist but on the same context it is broad and not close ended, however, gambling is.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 25, 2024, 04:10:30 PM
It's about being conscious with your bets and actions. With betting I personally believe that giving your full attention to it would give you the best experience whether it is a losing or winning bet. If you would be unconscious of your bet, if you lose then that would be an instant regret and thoughts that you shouldn't have bet in the first place. If you happened to win, then it won't be as fulfilling as if you planned things out, also on the same instance, you could use the strategy and analysis that you used on your next bet; more of being efficient with your betting strategy and experience of course. Being tired would simply divide your attention between taking a rest or continuing to bet. I also don't want to make a half meant bet because that would only make me impulsive for the sake of placing a bet and not with a sole purpose to do so.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me to invest altcoin now on: March 25, 2024, 03:22:46 PM
I recommend investing in popular altcoins instead. maybe coins like ethereum, BNB, ADA, MATIC, and other popular altcoins will suit you very well. What's more, you limit your investment funds to $2000. However, try looking for popular altcoins that have prices below that. If I were you, I might choose to invest in BNB. However, I don't think it's a problem if you want other popular altcoins
If it is for long term then for sure it woud be best to invest with SOLANA, ETH, BNB, and other big names in the market. These coins are simply ones which have less volatility compared to new altcoins of this industry wherein market caps are changing way too much from time to time. But if it is altcoins in general, take note of how short term holding should be kept in mind.  Meme tokens are now ringing the bell and creating loud noise in maany exchangers. Just be mindful of high volatility given that these coins are most prone to market manipulation. But if you'd be able to distinguish good projects, of ourse investing early would give you upperhand. Study the chart and determine the best entry points to lessen the risk as much as possible. Lastly, never be too greedy and confident of the coin you are engaging yourself with. Always be on watch given how many factors are affecting the market price of cryptos; even simplest news.
234  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 25, 2024, 02:51:18 PM
Well the world won't adjust to us; we're the one to make our own adjustment. Majority, if not all countries, are highly affevted by inflation which make things expensive. If you are an average salary earner, you will be left with choices; adjust your expenses or increase your stream of income to maintain an existing lifestyle. However, there are those which are able to cope up with other things such as saving for the things they want to buy which is for sure effective. Some people are also using financing to extend their money. Well, whatever would work more if you do have your own wants and needs in life.

We need to be wise in responding to all the rising prices of basic necessities due to inflation, managing finances well and distinguishing between needs and wants. This means that for basic necessities there is no way out, we are required to keep shopping. Meanwhile, on the other hand, such as the desire to buy goods because they follow a trend that is going viral, we can hold back as much as possible until the economy improves. If we are too wasteful it can destroy our own economy. It can be understood that not all of these things can be endured, there will still be other urgent needs that encourage us to spend money on shopping.
when one tries to understands how to manage changes in life, the person would also be able to get the full knowledge of how to respond to changes in financial situation like the current inflation in the prices.
one should have knowledge of the difference between want and need, then he will choose them according to their most or more prefer. That's in order of their preference. you don't just spend lavishly.
When it comes on needs and want of course we know what should be prioritized. But if you have your own ways to pursue both of it at the same time then that would be better. This is also the reason why many people are doing 2 or more jobs on this day simply because they know that they have to cope up with their life situations.
235  Other / Off-topic / Re: Preparations as being key to personal growth and development on: March 25, 2024, 01:53:59 PM
Money will always be a factor to consider if you are having visions of your own and that is simply a part of preparation. But I do get the point, some people's ideology with financial matter on their plans, is to accumulate in an instant which discourages them to continue if expectations won't be met instead of starting it little by little until they make it a habit and become consistent of it. Unfortunately, it will always be a bottomline. Many ideas were just being set aside because of financial support. Even with recent inventions, creative minds have to deal it with their own ways instead of being supported by governments, being said in this context but of course this will be quite broad to discuss.

With personal growth and development, almost the same thing exists concerning one's living circumstances. An individual could dream of a new home or car but given that not all of us are having such privilege, adjustments will be prioritized more than actually 'preparing' on meeting the intended visions. Planning is indeed necessary but plans will always be affected with how an individual will be considering other existing factors.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disable and hide gambling videos on Youtube on: March 25, 2024, 01:12:45 PM
Simply clear your browsing activity and use a different google account, preferrably new to the socmeds you are using because everything runs under algorithm and as others have mentioned, things won't appear if you're not really searching for it. Safe to assume that you're into gambling contents if it keeps to appear on your feeds. Also, with influencers, sad to say but many of them are promoting gambling sites in any platform simply because they are being paid for it. If your intention is for you to quit gambling which is why you are wanting to turn off the ads related to it, well you could just buy premium youtube account or to simply not engage on contents at all. Contents are a bit unstoppable since content creators will continue to do so as long as they are being paid. So it is on viewers end to create the adjustment.

Again, watching gambling contents would mean nothing if you can control yourself not to engage in the platforms being promoted. Wether we like it or not, it would be existing on most people's browsing experience.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cruel level of addiction, causing harms and still keeping it up on: March 25, 2024, 12:09:08 PM
Level depends on severity of symptoms. In the given case, your friend is showing obvious signs of addiction and if you're curious of why he is still continuing to gamble despite of the 'damages' he is having, then it is more likely due to frustration in particular with financial needs. Frustration in terms of embracing the losses with hopes of winning at the end but that's with no certainty no matter how we look at it and most likely, loss will just grow as he continues. What's best is for him to accept things even if it won't be that easy; that's the only way out. He should also consider seeking for professional help if he's willing to make things better for himself.
It's hard to understand why they cant just stop. Could be due to mental health problem or lack of support.  It takes a lot of courage, willingness, and determination to break free from addiction, so it's recommended for them to seek professional help to have successful recovery.
It is easy to understand why but what's hard is to think of a way to help a friend of yours. There will alwys be a side that you really want to but also another side wherein you can't be of any help because everything should start with oneself or with one's initiative. Determination and will would be important things an addicted gambler should posses. Guiding them will just be a little help, it'll all depend on their decision to act upon the problem.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your take? on: March 25, 2024, 11:35:48 AM
My topic is based on those who are majorly into sports betting, we know in this aspect of gambling it is very risky to predict the outcome of any game from both teams to score, over and under, straight win and many more. Most times we bet on the big teams to win and the reverse becomes the result, either the small teams securing the win or ending in a draw.

Straight to the point most people are afraid of compiling big odds and now decide to go for lower odds with huge staking power which is not even guaranteed to give the predicted results. For example, there could be a match between Newcastle VS Tottenham Hotspur and both teams are having 1.5 and 1.3 odds respectively, a gambler may decide to bet only on Tottenham to straight win by only selecting this one game on his slip, what is your take on this kind of gambling, risking bigger money on some low odds with a small potential win and still the possibility of your pick to win is not even certain.

First of all, all gambling games has risk and risk is even higher with other games than with sports betting simply because most of those are dependent with luck alone unlike with sportsbetting wherein analysis do work as a factor to determine which team would possibly be winning. And if it is choosing whether engaging with small bets on high odds than with high bets on small odds, I'd prefer the low wager with high risk and high return. The reason is lack of assurance to win eitherway. Indeed chances of winning is higher with smaller odds which would be tempting to increase your wager but since nothing's certain, you could still lose and that covers your high bet. And with low betting amount to higher odds, at least if it would be a losing outcome, you won't be in much burden and if ever you happened to win, then congrats! Either betting strategy would be fine as long as you know your numbers for yourself.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana memecoin is trending on twitter.. on: March 24, 2024, 05:26:46 PM
Well, yes and it is evident. Many of meme token projects are taking advantage of the hype created under solana chain. Is it a bad thing? Well, not really as long as you know what you are doing. If despite of this you still have no plans of holding then that's you. As I said, many meme projects are making its way to the top. The hype is where demand comes from and if you're a true bettor then that would be for you to resolve. One thing is for sure; long term holding should not be a cinsideration. Most of the tome, due to low market volume and capital, things are getting worse but there will always be a better alternative in any case.
It has become an old trend to rush to invest after seeing a twitter post. The memecoin community is creating massive hype in the crypto market at this time but they won't last for long. I may be early with my predictions but I see all the signs but the memecoin market will crush anytime soon. As the price of bitcoin has risen, so have the prices of many tokens. But most new investors are thinking of getting rich from memecoin by entering the market in this race.
Well in most cases plus size individuals are more aligned. I still do believe that bigger names of this industry still reflect with web3.0 hype thus week.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 24, 2024, 05:14:05 PM
Have anyone ever had confidence in any match that he was willing to be huge amounts to back up the confidence in a match that features his club. A friend of mine recently shocked me with how much passion and confidence he had in his club, man u vs liverpool  that happened on Sunday I guess was a very hard match cause Liverpool was already stomping 0:2 to man United but my friend was telling that man United won't lose the match, so I told him that if he has much confidence that he should stake life, shocking to me he went on and staked 5k on man United win to qualify which was about 7 odds at that time, and yeah it turned out right for him. Can any one do this or was it a foolish move?
Betting all would be foolish. A game is a game and anything could happen regardless of how much Team A is at advantage; as long as the buzzer is not being heard, things are still not assured. Cliché as it sounds but never bet with confidence 'coz that's subjective. Perhaps you invested a small amount; you could get high rewards from profit but if it came out as a losing bet, and if you have bet a huge amount, then that would also be a huge loss. If you are about the consequences the be careful of the amount you engage. If you can't imagine yourself being in huge regret after a losing bet, then at least be preventive of such situation. Play it safe as much as possible. It would be better to settle with smaller profit than to settle with loss alone. Keep in mind how gambling works wherein many people regret putting their 'all' and eventually be needing of help from people around them.
