I'm fully against chemo, don't get me wrong. Whom ever thought up poisoning with radiation the human body as a treatment is an asshole.

If I am diagnosed, fuck it, I'll just live my life and die.
FUD to its extreme!
2203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Transfers Takes so Long Time? on: December 26, 2012, 03:45:02 PM
It takes like a second for a transaction to arrive. How the hell is a second "so long time"?

6 confirmations? they are not required lol
2204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NVIDIA Tesla C2075 Server Rack Cluster on: December 24, 2012, 09:34:00 PM
Not sure if even one... mining with nvidia is a bad bad bad bad idea.
2205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long does it take to synchronize? on: December 24, 2012, 05:20:29 PM
True that, i'll call it the reference client from now. I just mean that it's the only one on the "bitcoin website". I would call it too bitcoin qt but it is a bit unclear.

Yup, it's outdated and also the "bitcoin website" showing only the reference client and not lightweight clients isn't exactly ideal. Everything should be renewed, we are no more in 2011!
2206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or do ALOT of bitcoin sites look just awful? on: December 24, 2012, 05:16:34 PM
I think that you are right
2207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long does it take to synchronize? on: December 24, 2012, 05:13:47 PM
There, give it a try to Multibit http://multibit.org/
2208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long does it take to synchronize? on: December 24, 2012, 05:05:12 PM
As Danny said, use a lightweight client like MultiBit or Electrum

The standard client isn't exactly for normal users

China started trading oil in yuan. America did not attack them and nothing happened.
2210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you earn bitcoins? on: December 23, 2012, 03:43:35 PM
You earn bitcoins by having a job like everyone else.
2211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet sync is stuck and won't complete on: December 17, 2012, 05:08:57 PM
Wild guess here: because it's the only one on the bitcoin website. Everyone of course will use it. To discover multibit you have to check the forums, check the alternative client section and read the multibit thread. One would expect alternative clients to be just alternative, not so different  Cheesy I too started using a lightweight client only in these last weeks.

GPU's pushed it away, then FPGA pushes it farther away, and ASIC, well that's the nail in the coffin for the average Joe.
Lolwut why the average Joe should care about mining? Seriously, do you care how gold is mined?
2213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet sync is stuck and won't complete on: December 17, 2012, 02:50:09 PM
Use a lightweight client like MultiBit. You start it and it's ready to go.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=43616.0

No one ever said that the standard client is the one the masses should use.
2214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help me get this right on: December 17, 2012, 02:45:51 PM
The wallet of the standard client is in appdata/roaming/bitcoin folder, name is wallet.dat

2217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CPU Miners on: December 15, 2012, 10:07:26 PM
Lol, cpu mining is useless. Even gpu mining these days often is at a loss...
2218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem Solo mining with GUIminer on: December 15, 2012, 09:16:47 PM
It doesn't exist, you have to create it

go in appdata/roaming/bitcoin, create a file and name it bitcoin.conf

make sure it's not named bitcoin.conf.txt ok?

and type like

rpcuser=bitcoinrpc
rpcpassword=putapassword
rpcport=8332

then put these data in gui miner

Note: make sure you then start bitcoin qt as server! Guiminer let you do that. Solo utilities->set bitcoin client path and select the bitcoin.exe

Then solo utilities->launch as server

then you can solo mine. And you will notice you are just losing time. Mining in a pool is better unless you have enuff mining power. Since you have an nvidia, you are mining at a loss anyway.

2220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem Solo mining with GUIminer on: December 15, 2012, 08:57:15 PM
Yes it is. Sorry but bitcoin and mining isn't a get rich quick scheme.

Btw, suggesting deepbit with it's high fees isn't exactly a good idea.
