I grew up in a region where parents were brained washed to think that the polio vaccines were meant to decimate the number of people living in that region. And so they refused health care workers from administering the vaccines to their kids. Guess what, over 20% of their kids are paralyzed. I understand people's qualms with government and the vaccine. However, right now, only people to trusts are the scientific community. Most of them are apolitical and their opinions are based in education, not off of politics, power, or money.
You people have to realize, it has been decided to vaccinate all people as soon as possible to prevent the omnivorous form of the coronavirus and to reduce mortality. The coronavirus can be eradicated through vaccines, but most people do not want to be vaccinated for fear of side effects. You are right, the doctor could not persuade them to take the vaccine, of course, there are reasons for these different kinds of superstitions. Some peoples think if they took the vaccine, their religion will be ruined. These prejudices need to be eradicated and all people need to be vaccinated as soon as possible.

Diego Simeone needs to fix these problems as soon as possible if they still want to compete for the title and UCL tickets. realistically speaking: - Athletic doesn't have any chance of being champion and even for UCL they won't make it, they now just need to focus on this at least in the top 5 something that will also be a difficult mission - barcelona also has no chance of being champion and even to enter the UCL will be a much more difficult mission - leaving the real madrid aside, the only one who can still dream of being champion is the sevilla who honestly don't know how they've been so lucky to win games for just 1 goal Realism does not always coincide with the reality of life ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) There is always the possibility of a miracle. Maybe Atletico's chances for the championship have already been lost, but the fight for a place in the Champions League should end with success. Villarreal is a solid opponent and the loss of points in a match with such a club should not be regarded as a disaster and the loss of all chances for a successful end to the season. Unlike Barcelona, Atletico Madrid does not have such financial problems and, if the game and results are stabilized, it has a good chance of at least being in the top three. Another question is that Atletico Madrid expected completely different results this season and at least a fight for the title. I still think that ATM are still capable of getting back in the top 4 and finishing the league in the top 4. Maybe the league title is lost this season, but they can surely get back to the top 4. They have quality players and Simeone knows how to win matches. Maybe things aren't working for a few matches but I hope they will be able to figure out the mistakes and fix them as soon as possible. So I think that Simeone should progress match by match and I hope that he will fix these mistakes done in these recent matches.

After a 0-0 draw against Benfica which they could have won now Barcelona are in a very difficult situation, and Barcelona must win in their last game against Bayern Munich to ensure qualification for the last 16. and it seems everyone can judge the performance of both teams during the match who is the best and Bayern Munich will be the favourites, and besides they will still field their best squad which I think Barcelona will be difficult to win even for a draw it seems not easy. it looks like Benfica will accompany Bayern Munich who won Group E to the last 16 because Benfica against Dynamo Kiev will definitely win.
Barcelona is in a very difficult situation now and no longer depends only on itself but also on other clubs. For Bayern, the match with Barcelona means nothing in terms of results and their coach may decide to rest some key players and thus maybe help Barcelona. This is a key game of the season for Barcelona because if they fail to win second place in the group and continue to compete in the Champions League, it will be a huge psychological and financial shock for the whole club. Realistically, the Europa League is a second-class and less important competition, which big clubs generally want to avoid if they can. I really want Barcelona to win this match but considering their opponent is going to be Bayern Munich, I think they will face enough problems in this match. And I also don't think that Bayern will rest any of their key players, because I have seen Bayern Munich play their main squad against a really inferior team. So I think this is my feeling about the loss for Barcelona if something magical does not happen.

I have to absolutely agree with you on this one because there is no reason why this can't be done, and we also know that BCCI is not doing that. you know, they are getting really good enough money from the IPL and why do something that might jeopardize the money. Maybe in the distant future where IPL will lose its traction, then maybe they will think about doing something like that in my opinion.
Australia and England are promoting woman cricket since they have interest of people in woman cricket, they have funds and its there state policy to include woman in every aspect of life. Other countries don't have or dont follow these parameters. Other boards are more concerned about money so they wont invest any penny from there pocket for woman leagues. I do not think in India people are interested in watching women cricket. If there is any domestic women cricket tournament then there is hardly any media coverage. Some international tournament do get the coverage. The media knows there less to no viewership. Women themselves I guess donot watch, how can then BCCI start a WIPL. BCCI only wants to invest in domains where they know they will generate revenue. Yes, that is true but the problem is at first that is not going to generate very good revenue. Because cricket itself is not so much popular in a lot of countries let alone women's cricket. I do understand I am not interested in something they might not get any return from but that will change in the future and I think they should think about it.

@galambo, I think there are countries that are genuinely serious about playing cricket. Actually, ICC needs to take a look at that and make the ICC tournaments much more bigger. In my opinion, they should look at FIFA about how they do it. Because if only these 10 or 15 countries play cricket, ultimately that will be bad for the game.
This is correct many countries looking for jump into this game but due to some local interest and test matches having big issues peoples have no time for sitting in ground and having games without any result so recently as we have some good exposure of twenty/twenty leagues now it's very easy for many to bring good and quality players because this format is having very good interest with now new Ten League is also bringing some more interest very fast and entertaining games are need of time which can give very good financial benefit within very less time hopefully ICC will bring some good rules about this all and Associate Countries will also able to have their good share from this all with some better quality and better profit. Here ICC role is very crucial because they need to be balanced for all leagues and countries for better exposure and results. I think ICC has to give the shorter format much more important if they do want to bring more countries into playing cricket and a lot of other countries interested. Because if they can keep people interested in cricket we can say that it that cricket playing Nations will be increasing day by day. But to do that the shorter formats are going to be important. And maybe also popularizing the t10 format more can be a great option in my opinion.

In group C all teams got the same 2 wins, so of course the competition in this group will still be tense until the end because all teams have the opportunity to qualify. Even though at the beginning, seeing the performance of Napoli and Leicester in their respective leagues seemed promising they would easily fill the 1st and 2nd positions, but the fact is that even Legia which I think is not really considered but Legia can prove that he also has the ability to compete with top team in this group.
With a fairly tight point difference between teams, of course, group C will have a tight competition until the last match, I think all teams will play all out to win their last match, I think all possibilities can happen later, even though leicester and napoli is a big team but it could be one of them will fail to qualify for the next round of this season. In group C, almost all of them has the same points because Leicester is in the first position and has eight points, Spartak Moscow is in the second position land has 7 points, Napoli is in the third position who also has seven points and finally, Legia is on the 4th position who has 6 points. So there is really great competition going on in this group.

Which thread to discuss the ongoing Balon d'or
Is there any other dedicated thread to discuss Balloon d'or? Or no, I think here fits to discuss it. Robert Lewandoski is awarded the best striker of the year. A title that sounds new to me. Was this created to rub him the Balloon d'or twice?
Robbed? I'm not sure about this because statistically, Measi had a better season than Lewandosky last season, and Lewa had a better 2020 and deserved the award, but the event was canceled due to Covid19 measures, and no one can blame them. Messi deserved the award for 2021, but the biggest snub was the goalkeeper award, Mendy was robbed. I think that Messi's duties of this one are at least more than the last year's one. And honestly speaking I really don't have much faith in these awards anymore of FIFA. I am even starting to lose faith in FIFA altogether because it is now being controlled by some money-seeking politicians and people in power. Just look at where the last World Cup was hosted and where the World Cup is going to take place this time and I think you will understand.

You are correct these countries can promote this game in women because they are better educated and financial strong countries, and we have here some serious issues related to society, education and finances in many countries, so they can't do this all as we have in big countries. Indian Cricket Board is one of richest but still they are not having interest in this because they can face some issues but still they are improving good quality cricket which is now growing very quickly across India but in Pakistan. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh it's not easy to have luxury like this even now in quality South Africa and New Zealand women teams are not good enough because it's also having some other things as well it's very long debate which is not good but women facing some problems in all fields because of gender even we are talking about equality and respect for them. It's not easy for any country to have its own women's cricket team and building a good team is certainly not an easy task. Because in a lot of countries a lot of people are deprived of education and in those countries having a women's cricket team is just too much of a luxury. But even after facing a lot of problems a lot of teams have made their women's cricket team and they play really well. I think ICC should also raise the bar of expectation from women's cricket.

Pakistan ended the day with 109-0. I told before that it won't be easy to win against Pakistan. Now this match is well under our control. We need only 93 more runs and it should not be a problem with 10 full wickets in the hand. Bangladesh played well in the first innings but they failed to produce a similar sort of batting display in the 2nd innings.
Pakistan from here on will win unless they do some blunder. Bangladesh is weak team so can't say its difficult to beat Pakistan. Shafique is having an ideal test debut, not many have such start along with other opener Abid. Bangladesh got lead in first innings but they collapsed in second innings, giving an edge to Pakistan. I think Pakistan should easily win from here because they only need 93 runs more and they have 10 wickets in hand and a whole day of test cricket. And I honestly thought that Bangladesh should have done much more better in the second innings. But yet again they collapsed in front of a really good Pakistani bowling attack. For me, Pakistan wins this 100%.

I think Newzealand is really lucky to even draw the match because they were dominated by the Indian bowlers. I think they were really lucky to even survive with the last wicket. But I think the last pair did well enough to defend the bonus and come out with a draw. Now India leads the series by 1-0.
Credit for this draw goes to Ravindra and Patel without that partnership it won't be possible for NZ to draw the game. Can somebody share stats of what's the longest last wicket partnership for such draws? I guess there are not much partnerships like that AFAIK. When last wicket partnership saved the dayWhen we talk about the last wicket partnership, first of all, which comes to my mind is Ben Stokes and Jack Leach's last wicket partnership against Australia. They put up a 76 run partnership together. And here are some other greatest last-wicket partnerships ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) .

A surprisingly easy victory was achieved by Napoli's players yesterday. I was convinced that Lazio would be a tougher rival for them. Dries Mertens, who brilliantly replaced the injured Osimhen, proved once again that Napoli can count on him whenever he is needed. Let me remind you that this often underestimated player is the best scorer in the history of the club, in wich played forwards such as Diego Maradona or Edinson Cavani.
Well, honestly Napoli absolutely ran over Lazio in the last match. Even I thought that loves you will perform at least better than this. They took a two-goal lead even earlier than 10 minutes in the match. And they also absolutely dominated their opponent in terms of goals, possession, accuracy, and almost every other aspect of the game.

Galatasaray is certain to advance to the next round, currently Galatasaray leads the temporary standings, I am very happy because clubs from England can play very consistently and can qualify for the round of 32 of the European League, even in the Champions League representatives from England advanced to the round of 16 Big, liferpol, man city, manchester united and chelsea, became representatives of England who could top the standings, and came out as group winners.. I am very optimistic this year representatives from England have the opportunity to advance to the final, both in Europe and the Champions League ..
EPL teams are way better than the others in different leagues, clubs are financially better, having top teams and more stable in performance. For the other leagues, except 1-2 teams, the others aren't that top. So far, French teams will advance in group A and B too most likely. Leverkusen in group G and West Ham in H. Otherwise the first position has to be confirmed by the next round in the other groups. Yes, that is true I think right now only the English Premier League has a balanced League among the others. In almost all the other leagues the teams are not as balanced. Mostly we can see one or two teams doing really well and almost half of the team in the league cannot even compete at the same level with them. But the English Premier League doesn't face this kind of problem and almost all the matches are enjoyable.

NZ are crumbling thanks to the legendary Ashwin-Jadeja combo who picked up some crucial wickets between them. India are going all in to win this one while the NZ batsmen are desperately trying to force a draw.
Also, Ashwin(Legend) has officially become the 3rd highest wicket-taker for India in tests surpassing Harbhajan and will probably surpass Kapil Dev soon too, but Kumble is in another league.
New Zealand is already 9 wickets down and they have to score 125 runs in 32 balls. Which is physically impossible. Their only hope is that if they can survive these 32 balls and play these overs out, they might be able to end the match with a draw. Other than that I think ok India will pressure really hard to get that last wicket and win this match.
