1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 28, 2022, 08:58:11 AM
...

Bad beginning never end up in good result ,rather  it ends in regret, waste of fund. The problem why some beginners starts investment in a wrong way is because they are too busy and think knowledge is time consuming.

I disagree with your statement, are you sure you are off to a good start and that you have never made a mistake in your investment journey? Most of the newbies in the market will have a difficult start because of simply lack of knowledge, and no leader… it can be said that they don't know where to start. But as long as they realize their shortcomings, never stop learning, and don't give up after falling, they will become real investors like us.

Exactly! Failing is a part of the journey especially if you are new in the crypto world, even the veterans still have losses because of the market's unpredictable movement, so, what would you expect for the beginners, right? Failing is way to learn so that you can improve the next time you will take some risks. Moreover, I don't really believe that this time is a bad beginning for the beginners because it is up to them if they will equip themselves with the knowledge needed to survive in this space, so of course, without that knowledge then there's really no luck for you here. Aside from that, this time is not really that bad to start because it is even a good way to start and accumulate coins while you can still buy it at a much cheaper price before the market recovers.

Beginning with a bear market to me can be called luck rather than a bad start, most newbies are confused and panicking when the bear market happens but if someone is lucky enough to start a bear market, they will taste the rigors of the bears and that will be extremely helpful to them later on, they will have a huge advantage over those who have never experienced bear season. Invest in bitcoin, sometimes we don't need to learn too much knowledge, what we need most is patience and waiting and these are only in the bear market, the bull market cannot teach us these things.
1302  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC's market price go? on: November 27, 2022, 11:47:40 PM

I hope BTC doesn't dip below $10k, or we'd be "toast". Most people are only into Bitcoin because of the price, so a major downfall would surely scare away the general public from investing into it. This will result in loss of confidence as we speak. Why do you think people still trust Gold these days even when there's Bitcoin in play? People trust Gold because it has never experience (AFAIK) a huge downfall in price, making it a stable and reliable store of value. You'd just invest into Gold, forget about it for a couple of years, and then come back with your money nearly intact (Gold is volatile but at a much lower rate than Bitcoin). If Bitcoin were the same, things would've been different by now.

At least, we all know prices won't be down forever. The next halving comes in 2024, so it's likely market prices will rise after that. If you buy BTC at cheap prices now, you'll be able to reap the benefits in the future. Who knows how far will the cryptocurrency go? Just my thoughts Grin

If you believe in bitcoin then you should raise your glass when bitcoin price hits 10k, I will do the same if bitcoin drops to 10k. Although many people will leave the market thinking that bitcoin is on the verge of death, sometimes the fear of others gives us an opportunity. If everyone has a strong belief in bitcoin and no one wants to sell their bitcoins then we won't have a chance to collect more bitcoins. The marketplace is a battlefield and it's inevitable.
The market needs to get rid of weak hands and needs to attract new investors, which is a sign of a stable and developed market.

If bitcoin is stable like gold, I don't think it will be good for bitcoin because people look for bitcoin for its profit, if bitcoin is stable, I will choose gold over bitcoin because gold is more widely recognized and popular.
1303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 27, 2022, 08:41:30 PM
It seems like many clubs e.g. Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea are want to sign Jude Bellingham from Borrusia Dortmund. I think Borrusia Dortmund is an excellent club since they're usually develop a potential player become a great player, there's many great players transfer from Dortmund like Lewandowski, Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, Sancho, Dembele and Haaland.
several rows of great players from Borrusia Dortmund have indeed become the target of many clubs, this is like the birthplace of talented young players. Lewandowski, who is currently working at Barcelona, places himself as the leading player who has an essential role for Barcelona. and Aubameyang had an extraordinary career that started at Dortmund and became a goalscoring machine with a total of 142 goals and 213 matches in all competitions before finally moving to Arsenal and Since the arrival of Mikel Arteta as Arsenal coach, Aubameyang has not had a good relationship and has lost his spurs . Thus, Aubameyang moved to Barcelona in the 2021-2022 season.
His career at Barcelona lasted less than a year, then he was brought in by Chelsea in the summer of 2022. Aubameyang has played 12 matches, and scored three goals and one assist in all competitions.
Furthermore, who is the great player that will be born in Dortmund?

I just want to put a point out there, which is even though Dortmund‘s great birthplace of some very important and great players it is not a place for players to stay for a long time. Because we have seen Marco Reus stay in Dortmund for longer and try to improve the situation in Dortmund. But in the end, he was the one who was forgotten. So yes, a lot of players have come from Dortmund. But I think it is absolutely a dumb decision to stay in Dortmund for a long period of time.

There have been countless players who became recognized from Dortmund. But eventually, none of them stayed in Dortmund because that will eventually destroy their career.
1304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 27, 2022, 07:05:23 PM
I think it sucks for Teixeira as he lost his opportuntiy to go at it another time.  I'm not sure why the UFC decided to drop him from the chance to get an interim belt.
It was not UFC to blame this time, Teixeira made this decision to refuse this fight on his own, maybe because he knows how serious opponent Ankalaev is and he would probably lose a fight.
People probably underestimate ANkalaev is same way like they did it with Khabib when he was starting to win his fights, and then he cleaned up all division  Cheesy
This is perfect time for Ankalaev to take fast road to championship belt, and it's going to be hard for other guys to come back after serious injuries.
Someone said that Jiri shoulder injury is worst injury he ever saw in UFC.

Having too much talent for your division is a problem when it comes to UFC matches. People will not want to fight you if you're too talented. And eventually, you will not have a significant amount of fights to prove yourself. This is something that I am hoping will not happen to Ankalaev, because it has already happened to Khabib Nurmagomedov in the course of his career. And I think it will be a very easy chance for him to prove himself quickly once he is able to get into fights. In addition, I think he has a reasonable chance of getting a championship fight pretty soon if he continues to show consistent performances going forward.

People who say crypto won't survive are just people who lose money while trading their coins. They regret their own decisions and try to scare others.
Look at the people who got profit from cryptocurrencies; they just quiet. Some of them keep spreading positive things. And I'd rather say cryptocurrencies will survive.
14 years of existence can be said to be a period of time that is not long but not short either. Yes, crypto has been around for the past 14 years and has been through terrible things too but in the end it's all here with us. So I don't see any reason why we should stop just because of the collapse of a tiny exchange. FTX is not the center of the market and many losers leaving the market does not mean the market will be empty. Hashrate is still hitting records every day, bitcoin wallet holdings are still increasing daily, how can it be said that the market is dying.

Bitcoin can provide greater returns than any investment, but its risks are also not small.

lottery tickets can provide even greater return , risks are also not small but the results are almost immediate .

Winning a lottery is very rare, and your odds of winning are 1 in 14 million, which is close to impossible, but still, there are lucky people who win it, so you still have a chance to win a lottery. The less risk we see, the less profit or money we gain—that's how it works. Bitcoin has a higher risk, but it also has a higher return; it is entirely up to you whether you want to take that risk or not. In life, we really need to take risks to be successful, but when we lose, let's just treat it as a lesson and learn from it.

In order to be a successful person, we have to step out of our comfort zone and if we want to have what others don't have, we have to do what others can't. That is the price to pay for success.

I support this thought of the OP, although it is risky and risky, but if we succeed, what we achieve is not small and that result can be equal to our cumulative lifetime. but OP should also consider that if you fail, take it as a lesson, not an end.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 26, 2022, 06:08:27 PM

Even though in the first half of this season Napoli have been quite consistent in Serie A, they are not necessarily able to maintain it until the second half of the season continues, because they are also playing in the Champions League. So that the concentration is not only on Serie A matches, let alone talking when players are injured, it will be very difficult to maintain consistency in playing, especially since Napoli's replacement squad is not balanced with the core players. The problem of player injuries is enough to interfere with their consistency in the continued matches of Serie A and the Champions League.
AC Milan and Juventus have the opportunity to catch Napoli, the difference of eight to nine points is not that far away, while there will still be a lot of matches. This indicates that Napoli must really maximize the remaining matches before ensuring the Scudetto.
After the World Cup all the teams will return to competition. Some teams are likely to be impacted due to the lengthy break in competition and it is possible that some players who played in the World Cup will be tired when they return to the club. In essence, the player's fitness factor is the most important thing that must always be considered by the coach.
Napoli certainly benefited greatly from this situation, because three of its rival teams, AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan sent quite a number of players to Qatar. Thus, I am quite sure that Napoli will be very difficult to catch due to the fact that their players are fitter, even though there is a possibility that they will slip, they already have a wide enough gap in points from their competitors.

@Fara Chan The way Juventus is playing right now if they are able to continue playing like that after the World Cup, I think they have a very good chance of getting Napoli, even though they did not start the season well. I don’t trust AC Milan, they are just too inconsistent. Probably won’t be able to defend the title successfully.

@iamsange Obviously, this is going to be the biggest advantage for Napoli. They will have all the players, healthy and ready to go. But meanwhile their opponent is going to have some players fatigued. This is going to greatly impact the standing on the table for each team In my opinion. And Napoli, he’s going to further increase the gap as well.

CZ too is very good any PR since his twitter account is followed by almost crypto user while user that he didn’t follow can’t make a comment on his post that makes it a media manipulation.

Have you ever read comments on twitter under most viewed tweets? Its 99% a spam of "send me 1 BTC i'll send you 2 BTC back". Its not media manipulation. Its the only way to avoid spam and scams.

I’m aware on this but choosing only who will reply on his topic is a form of media manipulation too as far as I know. That spam post is just a minimal reason to turn the comment off from his post for those he didn’t choose to comment.

The way I view it, He only wants to see positive response on all the opinion he is trying to post on his social media account. CZ is not an ordinary crypto influencers and newbie that reads his post same as the reply will easily believes since no one giving a criticism on his post that he limits through censorship that I mention above.

Vitalik Twitter and other influential person in crypto doesn’t have this feature on the comment section of there post because they are often to criticism.

I don't think it's media manipulation, today's information is not only concentrated on twitter, twitter is not the only or most popular social network. Nowadays market issues are discussed everywhere and as soon as there is a question people quickly find out and spread it on all social media channels. I don't know what the exact reason is but I think it's not media manipulation. I don't follow CZ and Elon on twitter but I've been using reddit a lot lately and their tweets are often discussed on reddit and I haven't seen any hypothetical as you say.
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Good the bad and the ugly side of airdrops on: November 26, 2022, 04:25:46 PM
Looks like you've been missing out on a lot of potential airdrops lately like the latest Uni, Para, DXdy or Aptos. I can say that the form of the airdrop has changed, forms like telegram tasks and spam tasks on social networking platforms like the old bounty campaign are gone, it is replaced by testnet or retroactive. About the reward, I don't know if it's big enough for you but for me getting 2k to 3k for an airdrop is huge for example aptos paid to hunters. These are just the notable projects and there are many more with rewards ranging from $50-100 per campaign.
that's right because I very rarely take part in airdrops.
but the airdrop you said (Aptos) is still the same as the airdrop in the past. I mean isn't $50-$100 randomly distributed to members who meet the criteria or qualify only? so it's like a waste if you have done the testnet airdrop task but only selected or random people are given free tokens (meet the requirements)

It is not a random distribution they will distribute to all participants and complete the task. It's like you participating in the signature campaign, you have to meet all the requirements that the campaign requires, and you can't get the reward if you don't complete all the tasks correctly. But I have to admit that finding such projects is very difficult and there are many projects that offer difficult tasks, it is not as simple as the old airdrops.
Recently, another new form of airdrop is running testnet nodes, very few participants and bigger rewards than many testnets bring.

Napoli is playing an excellent championship but let's not forget and let's not underestimate Milan who has an excellent coach and who is bringing the team to the times of the past, especially remember that the real championship has yet to start because this world break will certainly not benefit any team.
@mendace a lot will change by the time this World Cup will end, and the key factor then will be what kind of mentality can Napoli coach get from his player’s because if they lose focus then they’ll suffer another heartbreak this season too. However I personally feel that this season they’re really close to winning the title, and I feel that they totally deserve it too but nothing is guaranteed in football and thus they’ll have to fight for it till the very end.

There are still a lot of measures to be taken before the end of the season since only 15 matches have been played.

As a result, I do not think they should take anything for granted. It is important for them to focus on performing well even though they have a comfortable lead in the game. In fact, I would like to actually be surprised if they do anything similar to what they did in the last season. As of this point, I am not confident to say that they are close to winning the title. At the moment, however, they seem to be heading in the right direction. It's just a matter of playing consistently and bringing successful results to the table.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 25, 2022, 09:26:24 AM
This will become increasingly clear next winter, AC Milan, Lazio and Juventus will enter the transfer market to increase the strength of their team, because the Scudetto hunt is still open for four clubs, AC Milan is only eight points adrift of Napoli.
If Napoli make three mistakes, then their closest competitor will offset the points. There will be many surprises when the matches take place next winter, those who were previously unbeaten will experience defeat or vice versa. Napoli must anticipate the possibility that will occur, in order to maintain the Scudetto opportunity.
And if AC Milan is able to match points with Napoli in the second half of the season or rather after the world cup is over, it also still opens up opportunities for Napoli to fight for the Scudetto. Because when Napoli start to make mistakes and lose some matches, the Napoli team will definitely evaluate their strategy and how to play well so that their competitors do not take the top position in an easy way.
There is no doubt race is still on because we all know nature of Serie A here any big change can happen with unpredictable way of play for few clubs and Italian soccer is also having some problems in last few years which is giving not clear things until end of the season even Napoli is clearly at the top, and they have enough firepower to keep their place but as we are going to have changes in winter transfer window then surely they can feel pressure for keeping their momentum and not allow their opponents to cut the points gape.
Defending champions AC Milan is surely going to have some changes for the best results with Juventus which was having big trouble through injuries will also jump into transfer window because now they are on recovery, and they want to have few better replacements for better results with Lazio and Inter are also giving them some pressure for improvement.

Serie A is currently led by Napoli. But I really do not feel that this is going to be permanent. I just simply cannot think that a team that has made mistakes in the past and eventually did not finish in a position which they should have, is likely to play really well throughout the whole season. I think they are almost certain to make mistakes and the other teams will punish them for it.

The performance of AC Milan, the defending champion seems to be questionable. Currently, they are in second place. But they are also eight points behind. They have not been very consistent as well. Inter aren't the favorite to win the league title. They are 11 points behind. They will have to improve significantly after the World Cup if they want to have a chance at the league title.

The competition is certainly going to be very tough towards the end of the season. But I think Napoli has the best advantage right now.

So even though this airdrops are profitable for other people, there is still some downsides that we should always look into, so make sure  research about the projects, if they were really legit, so that there is not wasted time and efforts because we don't know what are really there purpose.
to research a good airdrop is very difficult. because starting from 2018 I think the airdrop from the telegram bot is just 99% a scam.
and I see that currently there are lots of shitcoin airdrops that distribute free tokens with a large total supply but have no clear purpose and in the end the distributed tokens have no value whatsoever.

Looks like you've been missing out on a lot of potential airdrops lately like the latest Uni, Para, DXdy or Aptos. 1314  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: November 25, 2022, 08:57:21 AM
I believe it is only a matter of time before government will forbid exchanges to convert bitcoin to fiat currency.

Why should governments ban centralized exchanges when it's a great tool for them to control us as banks control us? vice versa: the centralized exchanges here will be upgraded and will probably be legalized as banks dedicated to the cryptocurrency market.

For citizens to get around government control, societies must price goods and services directly in BTC so no exchange is needed.

Imagine that 100% of Europe, the USA and China forbid goods to be priced in BTC by law. That it would only be allowed in impoverished states like Venezuela, El Salvador..

If this was the case, would BTC still have value?

And again all of that is just your imagination and doesn't have any basis in your statement. China banned bitcoin but unfortunately it doesn't work with bitcoin and I will wait for US and Europe to see if they need bitcoin or will remove it like China. They are great powers but that doesn't mean that without their support we would die.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin survive the apocalyse? on: November 25, 2022, 08:44:57 AM

During Hyper inflation electricity will become unaffordable, so people won't have access to energy,
even if the miners could survive which they won't, no one will have enough energy to make transactions.
Barter becomes the survival currency, for essentials like  Food, Medicine, Shelter, Clean Water, Clothes, Silver, & Gold.
If the neighboring country currency is unaffected, then people use the foreign currency instead of their own hyper inflated currency.

Thus, in the world economic history, only these 3 countries have hyperinflation and as far as I know, Turkey and Argentina are also 2 countries with hyperinflation. In the world, we have all 205 countries in the world, which means this number is too small to affect the power of the whole world. Therefore, the case of all countries going into hyperinflation will never happen, so the idea that bitcoin will be destroyed by inflation is simply a matter of your imagination.
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Trust wallet and is it safe? on: November 24, 2022, 01:24:58 PM
There are different types of wallets in the cryptocurrency market. Trust wallet is basically a multi-currency wallet that supports all types of tokens in this wallet. Many investors and holders prefer trust wallets nowadays. Moreover, this wallet is much more secure than other wallets.

I want to know more details about this wallet from you.

Thank you everyone

Not really if you are not careful on what you are doing in your phone like clicking a malware, engaging to trade a honeypot token, connecting it to a fake phishing site, etc.

As it is created online, that’s where the wallet is so vulnerable and the hackers can actually find a backdoor with all of the stuff I have mentioned if we are not careful without the need of seed phrases, private keys, multisig, etc.

Hardware wallet is always the best bet for our crypto funds to be safe.
Once we have invested in cryptocurrencies then we should equip a hardware wallet, there is no safer option than it. Although owning it will cost a bit more than other options but the security feature it gives us is well worth it. Let's say you have a bitcoin worth $16k and you don't want to spend $200 on a cold wallet, you store that 1 BTC in a software wallet and one day your computer gets hacked you lose $16k. So the question is do you want to lose $16k or $200?
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy a cold wallet or buy BTC on: November 24, 2022, 01:09:30 PM
At this time of Black Friday, there are usually some promotions, even interesting ones. And some cold wallet companies are running promotions.

Right now, in your opinion, it pays off to spend 50~60$ buying a cold wallet or buying BTC?

I would choose to buy a cold wallet first, what if you have a lot of bitcoins but you can't keep it safe? This means that your bitcoins are always in danger and can be lost at any time. But if you get a cold wallet first and then collect bitcoins, it will be safe and you will have more time to focus on collecting bitcoins more. For me, I need a safe place to store my possessions before I start collecting them, because if I'm not prepared, accidents can happen at any time.
1318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin survive the apocalyse? on: November 24, 2022, 12:55:44 PM
The world is only getting crazier.

Hyperinflation, wars, supply chain issues, shortages

I know a decent percentage of the network runs on renewable energy, there's the blockstream satellite, keys are offline etc

How bad would it have to get to stop the chain & would that kill Bitcoin?

Personally I'm not worried, because if it gets that bad, money probably won't matter. Food, water & shelter will be more valuable.

I often speculate. I not a gloom & doomer - just a realist.

Interest to hear thoughts.

Hyperinflation will kill bitcoin, because the energy costs of the PoW miners would grow faster than the price of bitcoin causing all the miners to shut down.
Not to mention the interest of the loans to buy the asics would crush them.

In your opinion, what is hyperinflation? inflation hits 10% or 15%. Like the inflation we are experiencing is also said to be the worst in 40 years. But I see everything is going normally, bitcoin price is stable, just looking at the hashrate it is at a record high shows that the miners are still doing well. Hyperinflation or crisis, recession does not mean that everyone will have difficulties, there will still be people getting rich from inflation. Like we are in a bear market, some people lose and sell in panic but others think this is an opportunity and I am also the one who has been waiting for this for a long time.
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 23, 2022, 09:51:07 PM
Real Madrid management does not believe in emotions. They believe in efficiency. Ronaldo is undoubtedly a legend in Madrid. But now it is true that Ronaldo is not in good form, he is not playing well. Why would Real Madrid management waste money on a team of players with high wages like Ronaldo at the moment? Where we can easily see that the Madrid management is now focused on building a youth-oriented team. In such circumstances, the possibility of adding the 37-year-old Ronaldo to the squad seems very unlikely to me. Madrid wants to build a squad that can play together for a long time. And so I don't think we will see Ronaldo in the Madrid squad, most likely we will see Ronaldo with Bayern Munich.
You might turn out to be right about Bayern Munich. But I still have doubts about it.

Because Bayern Munich have started to improve their performance a lot in the recent times. They have started to play like the times they had Lewandowski in their lineup. Their productivity level has reached an amazing level again. We are watching the same old Bayern Munich so they might not be eager to rush things about signing a striker in the near future. If they had problems in the Champions League then I would still think like they would sign a striker in January. But they finished the group stage very well.

However there is still a possibility of course as they have only Choupo-Moting playing as a natural striker. They have preferred Mane there as well but he is injured for now as well. Maybe they might consider a 6-month deal with Ronaldo but let's see.

I think this is not going to be a bad deal. Bringing in Ronaldo and playing him as the main striker can be very helpful for Bayern Munich.
And if Cristiano Ronaldo is performing well they can always extend his contract. I would love to see that happen honestly.

snip
I assume Ronaldo would be ready to take a significant pay cut. Because he is ready to sign for a team playing in the Champions League and leave Manchester United immediately. However we still don't know anything about what Real Madrid think about this. Maybe they really don't think of making a signing like you said.
About Bayern Munich, I don't know. Maybe they won't rush for signing a centre-forward in January while they are doing well. Choupo-Moting is doing quite nice there and they might want to wait for the end of the season to make a signing.
Ronaldo will have to agree to a pay cut. Otherwise, he is basically going to be unemployed.
At this point, it is better for him to take less money compared to being unemployed. I am sure that Cristiano Ronaldo loves his legacy more than money.
And I think for his legacy he will take a pay cut and continue playing.

Napoli is playing really well, and it is not a coincidence. Also performing really consistently. And that consistency is needed if they want to win the title.
I am just waiting to see how they will perform after the World Cup because it might be hard for them to continue with the same pace after a big break.
Of course, there's no doubt that they are progressing for the title, but they still need consistency in the mid-season. the world cup and the transfer window are two conditions that can change the rhythm of the game for all clubs, this can makes the club better or vice versa. So, this moment must be maximized by Napoli to maintain their performance. Many doubted Napoli in the mid-season, do you think this can be happens once again?

Napoli has progressed a lot honestly. I don’t think they would have been able to be at the top of the table. But what will be interesting to see is whether will they be able to continue performing well since they do not have a good record towards the end of the season recently. Obviously, they are going to try to maintain a good lead from the second team on the table. I think if they are not careful and if they are not able to perform well right after the World Cup might actually face some consequences.
