1841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: June 13, 2022, 02:49:23 AM
Quote
I think it is the right time to buy because u might be waiting for more price declination before buying and you won't see the time coming. I know with the current experience in Bitcoin market many are anticipating that the price will still drop. But still it will be nice to buy and be watching how it goes. Thanks

Yes, this is the best time to buy bitcoin and hold for the price to increase higher in the market before you can sell to make a good profit. Now that the price has dropped down to $27,000 few hours ago showed that there is still opportunity for people to buy huge amount of bitcoin before the price will increase higher. I think, those that bought bitcoin few months ago when the price dropped down to $30,000 are seriously watching the market price to hit back $50,000 before they can sell to make a huge amount of money from their investment.

Yes bitcoin price is trading at 25.7k, not sure if this is the best or lowest price of bitcoin but at this price we can start buying . When bitcoin was at $30k a lot of people believed it was the bottom of this bear cycle so a lot of people bought at that price so it will be good for those who haven't bought bitcoin yet, buy it from now on.

IMO, bitcoin price is likely to drop to the $20k region and stay there for a long time before rising again, but it's all speculation so I think we should start spreading our buy orders.  if bitcoin continues to fall, we will continue to buy.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 12, 2022, 06:54:55 PM
I don't think Dortmund can fight Bayern either. Bayern are a very experienced team and they have many other good players. In this case, they will be like Real Madrid when Ronaldo left, but the team did not stop playing well and continued to lead the league. All in all, I don't even know what would have to happen for Borussia to beat the current Bayern.
Borussia Dortmund need to strengthen their squad regularly for a few years in order to pass Bayern Munich on the way to the championship in the league. For example, it was necessary to keep Haaland in the team this year and make good reinforcements for the missing parts. However, Borussia Dortmund often lose their good players at the end of the year. However, very good players had played for Borussia Dortmund before. They had to protect their players. Maybe they can pass Bayern next year, but they have to be very systematic.

The problem with Dortmund is that they don't bring in a player to think about the future of the club for a very long type. They bring in a player and think of him as a selling option with which they will be able to bring in a lot of money to the club.

They produced a lot of players who are really world class but at the end of the day they end up selling the players. This has been going on for a long time. And if they continue doing this I don't think they will be able to ever actually fight with Bayern Munich for the league title realistically.
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 12, 2022, 06:48:49 PM
Joe Root doesn't look like playing test cricket. He is scoring like playing in an ODI. As of now Joe Root have managed to score 58 runs of 72 balls. Joe Root have planned to score 500+ runs by the end of today's session. In the first match until last moment there were discussions whether the match will have a result or end up with a draw. The same scenario can happen in this match.
Since the pitch is batting friendly, Joe Root is now batting like the ODI format. Root's strike rate is now over 81. He scored 163 runs off 200 balls. As a result of responsible batting by Joe Root and Ollie Pope, England's collection at the end of the third day was 463/5. There is no expectation to see the result of this match. Undoubtedly this match is going to be a draw. My guess is that England's players will be able to bat for at least two session tomorrow

England are now just 80 runs behind New Zealand. like Joe Root and Ben Foakes experienced batsmen are still at the crease. Ben Foakes is a very experienced and responsible batsman, he has scored 24 runs from 70 balls. And I am hopeful that he will be able to play better in the days to come. England will be able to easily cross the 553-run mark. And will provide a lead of at least 100 runs.
1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 12, 2022, 06:44:21 PM
West Indies scored 155 runs in 26 overs. West Indies need 115 runs in 21 overs to win. They need 5.6 runs per over. However, West Indies lost 6 valuable wickets. Keemo Paul and Akeal Hosein, who is at the crease, bat well enough, but there is no guarantee that they will be able to stay at the crease for long. Pakisthan is still the favorite to win the match.

Akeal Hosein is batting very well. He is still at the crease with 47 off 32 balls. However, I still think it is not possible for the West Indies to win this match. Pakistan bowlers are very experienced. On the other hand,  Apart from Akeal Hossain,I don't see any more experienced batsmen in the West Indies team at the moment, as they have already lost 7 wickets.
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: June 12, 2022, 10:30:09 AM
I think investment in new projects is a good hope for profit when the market red. I was surprised by the market today which dropped more than 8%, the price of bitcoin dropped and made many altcoins that became my assets such as BNB, ETH, Matic and so on also drop.

I think on the contrary, once the market is red, the top coins, the potential also cannot avoid the big price drops so the new projects can not survive let alone make a profit. Investing in a new project at this time is really risky, you just lose money without profit. Better to only participate in new projects during bull season, in bear season we should focus on perennial projects and top coins to reduce risk.
1846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 12, 2022, 10:05:18 AM

The petty traders I meant are  hawker stall, street vendors, street hawkers, market men and women, kiosks that do daily trading often.
These kind of traders are common in my country. They are small scale businesses, frankly as much as I love businesses adopting cryptocurrency, I have to say I don’t think it is a good idea for them to adopt bitcoin, it’s not realistic, the total worth of the goods they trade on an average is about $80-$300. In my country for example, the hawkers who move about selling products, they are mostly young children and teens who do not have an mobile device with internet connection. How can they accept bitcoin as payment?

In my country there are also a lot of merchants doing this business, they often move to sell and these hawker stall are mostly elderly and they don't use smartphones much, paying with bitcoin can become difficult for them. Besides, their customers are mainly children whose parents give them some pocket money so paying with bitcoin is not feasible.
1847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pricing things in Bitcoin rather than in US dollar what this could mean for BTC? on: June 12, 2022, 09:37:31 AM
Given bitcoin's volatility, I don't think it's possible to use bitcoin to price commodities, unless bitcoin becomes a stable asset class. we invest in bitcoin expecting profit so I really don't think it will ever become stable and I don't like the stability of bitcoin myself, I like its volatility and that is bitcoin.

The US government is controlling the dollar and I don't think they will let another currency or asset take the place of the dollar , that certainly can't happen.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 11, 2022, 04:27:04 PM
We can give all the time of the world to Lionel Messi at PSG but I don't think that he will be as good as his times when he was at Barcelona. I think that we should accept this already. He can still increase his performance level of course but I don't think that he will be as good as Mbappe. PSG would like to see Messi performing near Mbappe actually to reach their goals easier especially in the Champions League. It is up to Messi to work hard and do better than this.

Messi's performance this season has been like that of an average player. Messi should not be expected to perform extraordinarily well now. However, in important matches, experienced players like Messi are very important in the squad. Although Mbappe is very talented, he is not experienced enough. However, although Messi has not performed well this season, he may be able to perform more consistently next season.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin do you "trust" the most? on: June 11, 2022, 05:44:11 AM
Which stablecoin do you feel so comfortable using, without having any worry of depegging?

Most of my stablecoin is on BUSD. USDC is also good option but I prefer BUSD since I always trade on their exchange, and also they have many trading pairs for their own stablecoin so I don't have to worry converting it from one stablecoin to another. Binance is currently the most reputable exchange and they have a lot of funds to support their stablecoin. Depegging BUSD won't happen that easily as it is backed by a real entity unlike what happen in UST and LUNA.

If you have such a good opinion about Binance exchange and BUSD, then you probably haven't read the news and have not heard about their problems with money laundering and drug purchases on the Darknet for cryptocurrencies from Binance. Of course, it's possible that nothing bad will happen, but holding funds in BUSD is the worst thing to do at the moment.

Everything is still unclear and nothing can prove that Binance is guilty and the SEC was right. Currently, Binance is still the largest and most trusted centralized exchange, I think there is nothing bad in holding BUSD or BNB even using the exchange at this time. If the binance exchange is charged and destroyed it will be a hundred times worse than the crash caused by Luna so don't expect this it's just FUD out of hundreds of other FUDs
1850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 11, 2022, 04:46:17 AM
There are also opportunities in a bear market as far as being an experience trader is concerned, a trader with a working trading strategy will always make profits even in a downtrend market

This aspect is an interesting topic to discuss about, both the bull and bear in bitcoin price shouldn't be a thing of much concern for those that truly understand the benefits in both, when there's bull run in price, the long time investors make profits on their investment and during the bearish moves, it gives an opportunity for new investors to set in and also during this period some experience traders goes on short position like day trading and swing trading just to predict the move in speculation price on a dip run thereby making their profits as well, that's why i got pissed seing some users going on panic over the bearish move in bitcoin price when others finds it profitable opportunity.

Not everyone sees opportunity in a bear market, it's not that simple mate. When the market goes down and you don't have time to cash out your portfolio could have dropped a lot and I bet no one can stay calm in that situation so panic and dumping are normal during bear season. Especially for those who are new to the market, they have not experienced the bear season so it will be very scary.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 10, 2022, 06:29:20 PM
Ibra said that he would end his career if he won at least one trophy with Milan this season, has he already changed his mind? Smiley He was often injured this season and spent a lot of time on the bench, I think that this will only get worse. But if Ibra has a desire to play further, and the club's management is not opposed, then why not.
Yes, that's right, as long as he can still make a very important contribution to AC Milan, it doesn't matter even though he is no longer young. And it looks like AC Milan also seems to be happy to open up that opportunity.
Ibrahimovic made a positive impact on them after joining and also contributed to the Scudetto title they had not won for a long time.

Ibrahimović staying in Milan is good news but I really wonder if he will be able to perform better in the next season. He is a good player and once was even a better player but age has taken its toll on him. So, I don't think he is someone on whom Milan will be able to depend. His staying is obviously good but they will need someone better and young, and that player will also have to be very good at scoring goals.
1852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price and actions to raise it on: June 09, 2022, 03:23:26 AM
This is the time to look around and ask: What else can be done to sustain BTC growth? How to increase interest in BTC? Everything possible is already being done on the stock exchange. Where are the other growth points? Growth points in increasing demand and interest. Experienced people and beginners love to play. Therefore, growth points can be in expanding people's awareness and offering new tools.

I think it's time to make websites with prices in different currencies: dollars, euros and crypto. It seems to me that this will contribute to the popularization of cryptocurrencies. Strengthening the popularity of cryptocurrencies would lead to an increase in their rate, to more lively trading, and as a result, to strengthening the status of cryptocurrencies.
Nah, unfortunately this is not a good approach, I know it's painful to see how slow the adoption is. But remember the market is barely 10 years old, so it doesn't need to be compare to stocks and other traditional markets that has existed for decades already. Let crypto grow in a natural course and process, just consider yourself lucky because you have been here as compare to others whose chances to have bitcoin is slim.

In fact, the cryptocurrency is doing very well, even outperforming. The only obstacle that crypto is facing I think is the government, they are trying to control and don't want the cryptocurrency to grow because it threatens the power and interests of the government. But with the rapid development and superior technology, sooner or later they have to accept, maybe not completely but there will be some aspects.
We here are said to be the pioneers of the bitcoin revolution, so try to seize the opportunity before it hits the whole world.
1853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I saved myself from missing a Presentation with Bitcoin on: June 09, 2022, 03:09:17 AM
Great story Op, but you should also be careful and not let frustration always lead you into revealing to everyone stranger you come across that you have bitcoins in your possession, for safety reasons so you don't get mugged.
I mean, because you have Bitcoin doesn't mean you're a millionaire or even wealthy, therefore everyone assumes you have cash on you, so telling them you have Bitcoin instead isn't exactly much more threat. You could argue less so, since cash can be physically stolen, but your Bitcoin should be locked up, to at least provide some other sort of resistance.

While, you probably shouldn't go flaunting around how much you own, and how wealthy you're, simply saying you have Bitcoin isn't a problem at all.

That's right. Not everyone who owns bitcoin is a millionaire. I don't see anything as worrisome as OP's case for letting others know he uses bitcoin, if OP hadn't said he was a bitcoin user he probably would have been in trouble that day because he wasn't either have cash.
As long as you don't reveal how much bitcoin you hold and show off your assets, there should be no problem here. We are bitcoin users, so we should promote others in one way or another.
1854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: June 09, 2022, 02:40:15 AM
Haters just looking for an excuse to ban Bitcoin mining, nothing else. For that reason, I don't think Bitcoin will replace by PoS technology. Because Bitcoin isn't controlled by a team that can move it easily. Miners would just move to reasonable places where mining Bitcoin is low cost and legal. They can't stop Bitcoin anyway, just trying to dump it.

I don't think this is about the haters and the excuse to ban mining
This is really environmental concern but compared to all other environment destroyers I don't think that Bitcoin mining has the key impact. So, I don't think environment will be the show stopper for Bitcoin mining.
However, I think that all Bitcoin users and miners shout be more aware of their impact om environment and try to find the way how to contribute to its protection.

There is no denying that bitcoin mining releases a certain amount of carbon and contributes to environmental instability but look at what other industries are doing, mineral resource extraction, heavy industries contribute a lot to environmental pollution and cause serious environmental concerns. But I haven't heard any accusations about it, they seem to be trying to put the blame on bitcoin when it's only a small part of it. I agree with @The Cryptovator, those guys are just looking for an excuse to ban bitcoin.
1855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money? on: June 08, 2022, 04:48:23 AM
I only widthdraw and transact with bitcoin and other altcoins if i really need some money. If i earn as well, it is my chance to get some portion of it and eat or buy some things for myself.

Shoping ang paying with Bitcoin is much easier than paying cash especially when you didn't bring any cash with you.

Well, I prefer hodling the Bitcoin until the perceived far far future when you can buy anything with it. Such a future is very close actually. You can already buy cars, plane tickets, hotel rooms for renting and amazon, steam and other coupons. So could you survive with nothing but using Bitcoin as a payment system and still lead an enjoyable life? Definitely. Those payment options will only become more and more as Bitcoin is adopted.

But currently? Better to hodl.

I also only hold my bitcoins and only use bitcoin when really have no other choice but then I will find a way to buy them back when can, for me, I want to hold bitcoin as much as I can.

We all invest in bitcoin with the sole goal of wanting it to help us have a better life in the future, so using it now looks like a waste.
Holding will not create real value for bitcoin, I will only use bitcoin for spending when it hits the set target .
1856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: June 08, 2022, 04:36:56 AM
Bitcoin proves to be the safest place, proof there is a big whale wallet hacked?
bitcoin is safe and there is no doubt, if there is a stolen wallet it is purely from the fault of the key holder's wallet it can be known by others, as long as the key is not known by others even though the wallet holder has died then the treasures in the wallet cannot be found. taken by someone else.

Bitcoin is only considered the safest in crypto, not the safest asset in the world, even gold is by no means 100% safe. But bitcoin is a good investment, looking at bitcoin price, no other asset class can be as profitable as bitcoin. It only took 12 years for bitcoin to go from $1 to tens of thousands of dollars, and it didn't stop there.

Although it can be highly profitable but diversify your portfolio and not just focus on crypto, we will be able to minimize the risk.
1857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you saved your bitcoins in multiple wallets? on: June 08, 2022, 04:24:45 AM
for now, I keep my bitcoins in 1 wallet, even the altcoins I have are like that. maybe it is quite risky, but when you are an investor, or a trader, then you need fast access to make transactions with the assets you have, especially if you are an investor.
what I'm talking about is an asset for investment and I develop it, while for savings, I keep it in a different place. however, it is not good to keep everything in one place. In addition, in the future, I plan to divide the assets I own in several places.

There is no problem storing bitcoins and altcoins in one wallet, as long as you protect it from threats. Using an extra wallet to split assets is a great idea because if we have an unexpected problem like a hacker attack or accidentally reveal our private key, we will minimize the loss. Using multiple wallets for storage also requires us to have multiple places to store our private keys. so how many wallets to use for storage depends on the usage of each individual.
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 08, 2022, 01:21:32 AM
Serie A is indeed the right league for Pogba to continue his career and if he chooses to stay in the English Premier League by crossing to Liverpool, his fate will probably not be much different like he is still at Manchester United, now Juventus has opened the door for him to return and I think Pogba have to take this opportunity to be able to restore his playing performance, the tightness of the English league and also the style of play of Manchester which relies on speed are the reasons for Pogba performance to decline because he is the type of player who is slow and lazy in my opinion.
I think Serie A is right for Pogba at the moment. Pogba's last season was not good. He has performed very irregularly. There is a lot of competition in the Premier League. And the gameplay in the Premier League is very fast. Since Pogba is now somewhat off form. And so Serie A will be the right place for him to get back to form. But he must practice hard. Goals cannot be achieved without hard work.

I don't know if he is going to be enough for Juventus at this moment but I think it is a good decision for Juventus to get him. I hope that Pogba will be able to play better with Juventus in the next season. His time in Manchester United was not good at all and he will be determined to do better with Juventus. You know he has played in Juventus before so it should not be very hard for him to at just with this League.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 07, 2022, 06:51:52 PM

I dont agree with that , Dortmund just got no luck the last season and i would say if Haaland was injured many times they would be a real opponent for Munich.
Also the transfers they did now already shows that they planning to get the title in coming season and compete with Bayern Munich seriously.
About Leipzig they also have done well the last years and they just was unlucky too the last season.
My favorites for the coming season are Bayern Munich , Dortmund , Leipzig and Leverkusen.

I know that there have been a little unlucky but they obviously cannot just depend on one player for doing all the work. It almost was light if Erling Haaland scores they win and unless he doesn't score they almost lose every time. I think Bayern Munich is obviously going to win the league title next season as well. Dortmund 2nd. Leipzig  3rd. And I really hope that Dortmund will be able to surprise me.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 07, 2022, 05:47:11 PM
It basically becomes a T-20 or ODI at that point which is why Test Cricket will continue dying in my opinion. Was never really a fan of tests to be honest which is why I won't miss them.

ODIs are also becoming less relevant and they might die at some point in the future too. Both these formats will probably be completely replaced by T-10 and T-20 formats which would be a great change overall.

I agree. Already test cricket is on it's deathbed and very soon ODI will be facing that fate. That said, I am horrified with the prospect of T10 replacing ODI cricket. IMO, T10 is not cricket. It is more like baseball. I am OK with the T20 format, but definitely not OK with T10. Why can't we ban this god forsaken format for the general wellbeing of cricket? If the ICC want matches to be reduced to 10 overs per side, then they should reduce the number of players from 11 to 6. Imagine this, 11 guys having a total of 10 overs. That is less than one over per player. Definitely not fair.

I am also not a very big fan of test cricket but I really like to see the skill that is needed to play well in test cricket. In the t20 format, skill is hardly needed in my opinion. I want to see that one-day international cricket never dies, that is the most basic format of cricket. But it does look like what happened to test cricket is going to happen to ODI cricket also and there is nothing anyone will be able to do about it. But I really hope it doesn't get shorter than t20. Because then we will see 11 batsmen in a team or 11 bowlers.
