2221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple backed Moneygram releases it earning report in Q3 on: November 02, 2019, 06:39:54 PM
So it's interesting to note that there was a net loss of $7.7 million when they formed a joint venture with Ripple. But I think it's early to conclude, this is just quarter report and data is still fairly early to say that it has a negative effect on MoneyGram itself.

Yup. Ripple will bail out bankers and buy all banks which Bitcoin is making useless.   Maybe eventually Ripple will buy Federal reserves. And own useless fiat printing machine.
2222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: November 02, 2019, 05:40:48 PM
@HairyMaclairy. $0.50 on December hehehe.

Definitely a possibility now.
What makes you define $0.50 as an entry, instead of waiting for $0.05 Grin? What's your criteria?

He is not as greedy as most people around here Smiley   He will fill his bags at $0.5 and the rest of us will wait until $0.05 that will never happen and stay bagless.
2223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 02, 2019, 05:04:08 PM
Monero (XMR) futures go live on Dubai-based exchange
- Dubai-based crypto exchange has listed Monero futures as of 31 October.
- XMR futures product is the first of its kind to be traded out in the middle eastern region.

It is strange that a country like Dubai accepts Monero and they have a regulated exchange, promising development and do these exchanges have any regional restrictions to trade.

Why would be for Dubai strange, that exchanges would be allowed trade cryptocurrencies?
2224  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's still going down (Oct 26, 2019) on: November 02, 2019, 04:30:56 PM
Even though price of BTC bumped up yesterday from $7,400 up to 10,400.  Price is still in a downtrend.

I am not too optimistic just from one day of big green candles along with some announcement from China.

Heavily manipulated it is, more and more every day. Good bye.

Price is always in some trend. If you believe is in down trend then is in downtrend. That mean over some period of time price will decrease a bit. Then sudden news like was that about china a week ago will disturb this movement. It is nothing wrong with that. I think medium turn we are in bear stable trend. And is going on from June. On long turn we are in bull trend. That is happening from start of this year and will continue for next 2 years. It is impossible to manipulate long trends. It is hard to manipulate medium tun trends. What whales can manipulate are short turn trends. And they do manipulate them.

Kripto reporter is back!!!!

https://kriptoreporter.com/znani-preprodajalec-eksplozivov-nakupoval-v-tusu/

LOL

2226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum resistant Alts on: November 01, 2019, 11:30:33 PM
My research indicates Cardano will be Quantum resistant.
Please add to the list:
Projects that are not quantum resistant will not have good futures: opinion

All crypto currencies need to have as good security to not be broken by quantum computers. That is a must. If cryoto currency is not secure anymore then it is not a real currency anymore. You cant have a currency that someone can simply forge or steal from you.  Currently all cryptocurrencies are quantum resistant. In future cryptocurrencies will just need to adjust their algorithms. Yes the abandoned cryptocurrencies with no development will fail at that. There are plenty of clones that after they been cloned they stay intact.
2227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction 2020 – What to Expect? on: November 01, 2019, 10:55:10 PM
Quick fact: Did you know that Bitcoin increased its price by more than 2000% in 2017!?

Actually your fact is wrong. Bitcoin price in 2017 increased by 1336%.  But 2017 dont really matter when we talk about 2020. 2016 matters. And in 2016 price of Bitcoin increased 124%. So expect for 2020 about that much of increase.
2228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening with ETHEREUM Now? on: November 01, 2019, 09:00:18 PM
I want to know the opinion of all crypto friends in this forum about Ethereum, because the price of Ethereum is currently unable to rise beyond the $ 300 figure. ethereum prices are only between $ 150 - $ 250. and this incident makes me wonder, why did this happen to Ethereum ??

Did you think of maybe the price was to high before? And that it needs to get that much adoption to reach past prices again? Prices of crypto currencies keep fluctuate far away from their real value. If Ethereum is valuable to you you should not care how much it cost you to buy it and use it.
2229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BCH even be worth mining after the halving? on: November 01, 2019, 07:56:02 PM
Will BCH even be worth mining after the halving?

BCH or BTC or BSV, none will be worth mining unless there will some miners left or price will increase. So far in past it usually happened the second. If price will not increase then it will not be worth mining and few miners with highest electricity cost will stop mining.
2230  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Leaked information. Are we really safe at all? on: November 01, 2019, 06:53:36 PM
Leaked information. Are we really safe at all?

It can happen everywhere. That is why is important you dont just throw your information's on everything. KYC only where you must. Register only where you must. Always use fresh passwords.   This forum passwords were hacked at one point of time. That was like 3-5 years ago. It can happen. It can happen 20 years from now when you will already forgot you used some exchange or some forum or service.
2231  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Incentives for Inflating Cryptocurrency on: November 01, 2019, 06:21:22 PM
There are lots of existing coins that have inflation built in - dogecoin, steem and so on. All the reasons you give for your coin are already taken care off with existing inflationary coins.

Why do you feel that the crypto world needs a new coin? New coins struggle to get traction especially if they bring nothing new to the table.

But rare have 7%.  Gold mining inflation is 1.5%.  Most countries including EU, China and USA in last 10 years anually on average increased their M! (money supply) for 10% a year.   My speculation is that 7% is a bit to much and should be way closer to gold % then fiat %.
2232  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance to Open Beijing Office Amid China’s Renewed Blockchain Push on: November 01, 2019, 05:06:30 PM
Honestly I am really impressed with Binance commitment in bringing their flagship in different continents however we understand that governments have their different approach about cryptocurrency. Do you think Binance can influence governments decision to ease regulations and political pressure?

If I am not mistaken Binance was originally planed to be in China, but because of China kicking out all exchanges in 2016 established outside. It was on one Caribbean or one  Asian country and latter moved to Malta. All big exchanges will try to open Chinese exchange.
2233  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4 Key Similarities to Previous Bull Market Corrections on: November 01, 2019, 04:19:39 PM
The top of 2017 came at the end of a market cycle, which essentially started with the confirmation of the 100-week Moving Average (MA) and 21-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA) during January 2016.

You found out the main reason why there is not many similarities. And you basically cant compare them. In 2017 we are close to end of Bitcoin cycle, in 2019 we are in second phase, from bottom up. Compare 2015 recovery with 2019 recovery. That is something to compare with. This time it started way faster.
2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when a project fails you as abounty hunter or investor on: October 31, 2019, 09:44:03 PM
As an investor or bounty hunter, you have dedicated either your funds or time for a pjoject and it turns out to be a fail project, what next?

Many at times we have come across this situations and I see a lot of negative posts from different bodies about this projects, y? Because people are hurt and have lost precious time and capital.

I suggest that whenever this situations arise, rather than telling the whole world how you messed up, tell yourself never again and pick up your pieces, go back to the drawing board and never repeat 🔂 that same action that lead you to following and supporting a failed / scam project in the first place.

Beware guys!

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose, you need to move on.  But  still dont get when some team spend 2 years to make a game they did it, and then took it off apple store and start doing new and gave up half year latter and then ended up with totally no game at all. They could at least have the bad game done.   In most ICOs Bitcoin will do way better then products that those ICO were crowdfunding for. Even if they will successfully deliver the product.
2235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 31, 2019, 07:23:27 PM
I sincerely hope that today that is World Savings Day people will ask them self a question why their savings are getting so little interest and why it looks a year or two away from time when they will be getting negative interest rates on their savings.
2236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins for 2020? on: October 29, 2019, 08:46:46 PM
Best altcoins for 2020?

2020 will be new 2016. Best performing coin of 2016 was Monero. So here is your answer.  Also the rest of opaque ledger crypocurrencies will do very well.
2237  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: October 29, 2019, 08:03:39 PM
KYC is beneficial to every genuine crypto user, as it help to fight against fraud by reviewing the identity of every crypto person. Though some person don't like it as it sometimes slow transaction due to delay in approval of KYC documents.

That genuine crypto user will not be so happy when some criminal after will hack into exchange database appear on his doorstep with a big gun and demand him to transfer all his coins to him.
2238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So many altcoins on: October 29, 2019, 04:47:55 PM
So many altcoins

A lot are totally identical so no innovation. A lot are copies but some thing tweaked. A lost what you are talking about are just tokens a digital asset, not real cryptocurrenices. There are some unique coins that are worth to learn about and have.
2239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 29, 2019, 02:26:21 PM
The year 2017 was a golden year for bitcoin wherein it got global attention after the crazy pump in it's value but are we still expecting a repeat of 2017 for the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020 ?

I dont know who told you that. All charts that were posted here says we are now in early 2016. And new 2017 will be in 2021.  Can you point to a chart showing what you are expecting please.
2240  Economy / Economics / Re: A huge recession could be on its way - sources on: October 28, 2019, 04:52:43 PM
Many people consider gold a safe haven, never bothering to look at the charts.

But look closely. During the past 40 years gold wasn't always the right thing to invest in. If someone bought gold in September 1980, what was awaiting them were years and years of frustration, until when in September 2007, 27 years later, gold price reached the same level, and started to rise. As of more recent years, those who bought gold in August 2011 are still waiting for the price at least at the same level.

I mean, history shows that, even without going out of fashion, gold shouldn't be always considered a good investment. I'm not trying to say that Bitcoin or anything else should, no. But gold shouldn't either.

There is another important fact. USD had nice inflation from 1980.  That gave you huge loss holding gold for 25 long years. Those price spikes simply has to happen.
