In other news, the intellectual property from the Mastercard bankruptcy was purchased for 0.134 BTC by a wealthy anonymous investor, who is said to have a stash which totals well over 7 BTC from mining on his GPU in 2012.
The main point that caught my attention is this. I suppose price of 1 btc at the time of writing is at least $1000000

Just continue to remain positive. We have seen the price dip couple of times but after that managed to rebound back strongly. The microsoft integration seems to be the news of week and i believe this will continue to support bitcoin price at the $300 support level.

I think as in your case you will want to work out the best in terms of lowest price to offer to your customer and at the same time get the highest return when exchanging btc back to your local currency. The best way is to work out a deal with an exchanger that give the lowest spread in terms of bid and offer price. Bitpay is just one of the many around

But then we should throw this question around. How come Opec does not react to cut down the oil production. They could easily bring up the price if they want to and that is a big IF. It's a matter whether they want to do it or not. Is there some kind of agreement going on?

I wonder if the price of the consoles keeps on changing. I mean you could have 5 btc shown today and tomorrow when btc price goes up, price of console is now 5.2btc. Too bad these are only available in US.

Most buyers might be wondering about this:
If i can pay straight away with dollar and get the product shipped out, why would i be bothered to exchange the dollar to btc and then only make the purchase? That's another extra step in the process.
But it's okay. It goes a long way to convince people

As long as i read the word "property" that is good enough. Property has the potential to appreciate in value and can be considered an asset or tool for investment. Tax free status certainly comes as a plus point

I wish i could use it at amazon or ebay and doing normal purchase using bitcoin to get anything i want. Hope to see that being made possible someday.

I admire you for pursuing something that you so believe in even up to the extent of giving up your PhD. In the end it's nothing more satisfying that doing the things you like most.... something that you have passion and interest in doing it.

The way you describe it makes btc sound like it's some kind of a ponzi scheme. It's not like when new joiners coming in and then it's time for you to cash out. Most people here like myself believe in the concept and how things get put together in bitcoin. It's more like an interest to see the development of the coin.

They certainly can't shut it down completely but they certainly can by force put a stop to all the exchangers. That means make it illegal to trade btc to real money and vice versa. So if i want to buy food for example and i only have bitcoin, then i will ended up having problem. This reduces the appeal and demand. Like i said no way they can shut it down but just makes your life difficult until you give up.

Wow...nice work there putting everything into so detail. I wonder how much did the winner actually paid for the bitcoin. I mean how low was that compared if they were to acquire from open market. I expect at least 10% lower
|

|
I bought most of my bitcoin using fiat which i earn from doing affiliates and advertising campaign. There's limited option though to get paid directly in btc so it's far better to earn it in fiat and then convert it. Also a portion of my stash is coming from signature campaigns.

I suppose theoretically we should expect btc price to go up when the next halving took place. I mean the reward of solving a block is getting less, thus should indirectly reduces supply of new coins to the open market. I wonder....

|
|
I don't understand the rational for that decision. Obviously you should expect more donations coming in with more payment options available. What do they have to lose anyway other than additional work to convert back to fiat if they desperately need to use it. In order words it's just a matter of putting the links there

I don't mean to idolize a person but i have to admit introduction of bitcoin is the next big thing equivalent like towards having a computer introduced to our life. I mean it's a clever concept... something we never thought of whereby not a person in our current monetary system can control it. Well if only he reappears again.

Whether it will make an impact next year remains a big question mark. But what i do agree is that even if it doesn't happen next year or the year after or even the next coming year, it's bound to take place some day. And when that happens it's gonna be big.... real big.

Sounds more like an article written for April's fool joke. By all means that couldn't have been true. I mean there is totally no basis for that person to get charged in court. For operating exchanges?? Come on...gimme a break

yes 11am i sent btc and the password works when i try again i used same password because i copy past it every time and than it say invalid password i did not import some keys i only try if the password works or not but only there it works or not i did not know because i did not try until the end to import keys so problem is password works and 3 hours later did not work and now i like to know if i can deinstall electrum and install it new and with my seed i can load my old value without any password to use??
It shouldn't be that complicated. Whether you lost your password or not, that just doesn't matter. Just follow the instructions which i stated in my earlier post and everything should be fine. Most important is that you must have your seed
