But nobody ever seems to mention porn sites accepting bitcoins so I guess for some reason its not happening ...... maybe nobody is paying for porn online any more ?!?

A lot of people are still paying for porn. In many Dark Hat shopping sites, I have seen Premium accounts of Brazzers.etc on sale. They were on high demand as well.  Grin
22322  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2014 FIFA World Cup Draw on: December 13, 2013, 08:03:53 AM
I was reading Fifa website but there is no news about this that in next world cup they are adding more teams currently its not a recognized news just rumor

This link says that they are considering it from the 2018 World Cup onward.

Picture will be clear before the end of 2014, I hope.
22323  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greek central bank head sees no risk of haircut on deposits- paper on: December 13, 2013, 07:55:25 AM
Now I am almost sure that the Greek bank account holders are going to lose a large part of their money. This was the same thing that the guys in the Cyprus Central Bank were telling to their customers, a few hours before all the money was seized.
22324  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-10 Bitcoin Proves The Libertarian Idea Of Paradise Would Be Hell On Eart on: December 13, 2013, 07:53:10 AM
you must be from north europe to ask that.
I invite you to come here to Brazil where I make you understand very quick

I am from Asia. I'll support his question. Wealth and intelligence is proportional. The more intelligent you get, the more money you make. What I don't want is an extreme Communist dictatorship (similar to the USSR), where everyone gets equal salary no matter what their qualifications and merits are.
22325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where to buy BTC on: December 13, 2013, 07:49:37 AM
If you want to use Credit Card / Paypal to buy Bitcoins, then the only site in which you'll be able to do so is VirWox.
22326  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will bitcoin reach $10,000 one day...? on: December 13, 2013, 07:48:39 AM
What would be the highest bitcoin ever reaches?

Who knows?... May be in 3-4 years it will surpass the market cap of Master / Visa.
22327  Other / Off-topic / Re: Silkroad 2.0 on: December 13, 2013, 06:30:24 AM
Wrong, it's already thriving. DPR just successfully overcame a long DDoS attack by seizing the attacker's db. I'm sure he had help but it's a milestone.  Business as usual for SR at the moment.

I still doubt whether the DPR 2.0 is the same as DPR 1.0. If it is later proven that it is so, what will happen to Ross Ullbricht?
22328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will bitcoin reach $10,000 one day...? on: December 13, 2013, 06:21:14 AM
It can go to $10,000 but it can go to $100 too. 10x fall is not big, it went from $32 to $2 once.

No. That fall can't be repeated. The number of Bitcoin users now is about 100 times of the amount we had in 2011. So there is no chance of such a fall repeating.
22329  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-12 DailyMail - Will using Bitcoin to buy sex trigger financial evolution on: December 13, 2013, 06:14:50 AM
I'm just sad someone is reading the Daily Mail - horrible rag  Wink

Although I'd agree with that, there is no point in denying that the porn industry could become one of the biggest beneficiaries of Bitcoin.
22330  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-13 WSJ - India Catches Bitcoin Fever on: December 13, 2013, 06:12:38 AM
But there are no indian exchanges?

There are some. I think the largest ones are rbitco.in and inrbtc.com.

But most of the trade is still routed through localbitcoins.com
22331  Economy / Economics / Re: EU nations agree rules on bank bailouts - replay of Cyprus bank crisis on: December 13, 2013, 06:10:51 AM
who would have thought that europe's collapse could possibly be BTC's next boon.

There were a lot of expectations after the Cyprus crisis. But nothing materialized. So I'd be rather skeptical.
22332  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-13 WSJ - India Catches Bitcoin Fever on: December 13, 2013, 04:43:07 AM
Legal situation in India is very much vague right now. I have talked to some of the Indian Bitcoin sellers who are active in Localbitcoins. They told me that they are very much uncertain about the legal consequences of what they are doing. On the brighter side, no bank accounts have been frozen in India for indulging in Bitcoin trading.
22333  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-12-11] CNN: Can Bitcoin replace PayPal? on: December 13, 2013, 04:40:21 AM
Prediction: Paypal will adopt XBT as a new 'currency' soon (mostly out of necessity to maintain their market share).

This is ridiculous. Paypal will never adopt Bitcoin. Doing that means cutting down their profit margin by 90%. JP Morgan has recently finalized its plans for the "Bitcoin killer". I think PP will soon join them.

Already they have shutdown the production of physical BTCs.
22334  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: December 13, 2013, 04:35:47 AM
"harmlessly trying to dump their excess male population". You meant after China harmlessly destroyed the natural male/female ratio with their one child policy?

One child policy was necessary, as China doesn't have the natural resources to sustain its billion plus population.

The male-female imbalance is worrying, but it is much less catastrophic than having a population of 2 billion.
22335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Top100/Top1000 amount on: December 13, 2013, 03:58:57 AM
That gives me confidence in bitcoin when the top 100 users are holding.

Hmm... the WInkelvii EFT is definitely among the top 100. There may be many more institutional investors.
22336  Economy / Economics / Re: EU nations agree rules on bank bailouts - replay of Cyprus bank crisis on: December 13, 2013, 03:57:27 AM
So, the lesson here is to make sure you are under $100k Euros.  But like in Cyprus the threat was there for small depositors too until there were huge protests.

I think any one having more than 20K Euros in their ban accounts were affected in Cyprus. Those with 100K+ lost everything above that mark.
22337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winery for sale---for Bitcoin! on: December 12, 2013, 05:20:20 PM
Bitpremier is having a number of real estate listings, including private islands, apartments and luxury villas. Don't know whether they have sold any of them yet. Any idea?
22338  Economy / Economics / Re: 927 People Own Half of All Bitcions on: December 12, 2013, 05:13:03 PM
not so sure that is ture.

Hhmmm... I am also not sure. Just checked it, and found that #500 is holding 2,220 BTC.

22339  Economy / Economics / Re: EU nations agree rules on bank bailouts - replay of Cyprus bank crisis on: December 12, 2013, 05:09:20 PM
Extreme moves could couse extreme response from masses. It could couse massive protest that can go out of control. They will make such a move only if they would want to start it. And for what? Hard to say what is on minds of the richest people that rulles this planet.

I would disagree partially. I have seen how easy it is for the government to manipulate the media. The government can turn the public opinion against Bitcoiners, by running media campaigns accusing Bitcoiners of tolerating CP, human trafficking.etc. They can camouflage their campaign against BTC by claiming that it is a campaign against these evils.

What's worrying me is that our population is quite low. Might be less than 100,000. 99% of the rest don't know what a BTC is.
22340  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-10 Cyprus Central Bank warns about risks in use of Bitcoin on: December 12, 2013, 05:03:33 PM

I heard that Slovenia is the next in line. Can anyone update me on the situation there?
