It is really worrying to see Dortmund going down to the Europa League. Their situation was decided even before the last game which is really terrible for them. Normally, they should have left Sporting behind easily. But their having many missing players affected them in a quite bad way. Erling Haaland couldn't play in the game Sporting defeated them by 3-1 too and this was also bad for Dortmund. If they weren't this much absent, maybe they would have performed much better. This could also be a factor for Haaland to decide his future too by the way.
Dortmund's start was very good in Champions League, and they won two games even these were not something special but still their start was good but suddenly two games against Ajax and some injuries ruined their all campaign now they have to drop in UEFA Europa League hopefully they will do some better in this as well for having some good for their next season.

In few other interesting matches we have very good matches waiting are between AC Milan vs Liverpool, FC Porto vs Atletico Madrid, because three teams fighting for one spot which is very interesting we can't predict about the result.

For Barcelona, I am feeling they are also dropping to UEFA Europa Cup, but we have to wait for official statement on last match day.

In the group, I was almost certain that Dortmund is going to qualify for the next round because they were facing not so strong opponents in my opinion. Even though they started really well, they had some bad matches and that shows in the group standings, they are currently in the third position.
About Barcelona, I am not sure and waiting for the official statement.

In my view the success of a tournament depends upon the quality of the matches played and how long it can attract the fans to tune in and how long. If the tournament becomes bigger, you cannot expect the viewers sticking through all the matches and it is all connected to the revenue and it is directly linked to the advertisement the media gets during the match. If the viewers goes down it will affect the revenue market as well. If media channels are not getting the advertisement they expect they wont be shelling out huge amounts for broadcasting rights.

I don't agree. Right now, the viewership is disproportionately concentrated in the mega cities such as Chennai and Mumbai. If the number of teams are increased, then there will be teams from some of the smaller cities such as Udaipur, Kanpur, Patna and Ranchi. This will increase the revenues. The revenue per team may decline (only in the short term), but the total revenues will increase. BTW, my 4-month estimate was perhaps a bit too large to accommodate. A three-month window should work fine.

Actually, I think this will increase the revenue when I think about it. What the problem will be as there are more teams the fixture will be bigger, and the tournament will go on for a longer period of time, which will certainly affect the international fixtures as well. That might cause some problems.

England and Aus have invested equally in every sports for both man and woman, so its surprising that they have good woman team. While Indian men IPL is billion dollar industry, there woman team is no where to be seen in terms of performance in international matches. If there is interest of general public in India in woman cricket, then these sponsors will also rush to organize woman IPL.

The reason being given by the BCCI is that there is not enough talent available in the country to organize such a league. Personally, I believe that it is just BS. What prevents from starting a 3-team or 4-team franchise league in the preliminary phase? Half of the players can be sourced from India and the other half from abroad. The real reason for not doing this is due to the fear that the IPL brand may get diluted. Very unfair to the female players. The BCCI is essentially saying that it is the responsibility of the ECB and CA to groom the young Indian players.

I have to absolutely agree with you on this one because there is no reason why this can't be done, and we also know that BCCI is not doing that. you know, they are getting really good enough money from the IPL and why do something that might jeopardize the money. Maybe in the distant future where IPL will lose its traction, then maybe they will think about doing something like that in my opinion.

It was a surprise for me as well as Mainz really played well this season ...but once again Bundesliga proves to be one of the most tricky leagues.
Tomorrow Wolfsburg vs Dortmund and both teams needs points but with Halaand being back I really can't see Dortmund lose this game but I also feel that they can draw this game. Hoffenheim is back on a good pace and Furth simply cannot compete in Bundesliga with that squad ...it's sad but true. A mini derby would also be Koln - Gladbach, again , a game where both teams are looking to take points.
There are so many interesting matches to watch in the Bundesliga this week, my highlights are Koln Vs Gladbach, Wolfsburg Vs Dortmund and Leipzig Vs Leverkusen. Looks like Gladbach, Dortmund and Leipzig will win the game Roll Eyes
What is your score prediction for the 3 matches above?
Leipzig vs Leverkusen will be a highlight for me to watch this match.
Leipzig is the host because Leverkusen is a formidable opponent, if Leipzig wins then the points will be the same, but honestly, I still doubt this can win for the hosts, and only lucky in the home game.
Leipzig in the Bundesliga and UCL still haven't looked impressive, meaning that there is still a slight decline from last season.

Leipzig vs Leverkusen will be an interesting match because if Leverkusen wins they can move to third place above Freiburg. Potentially having a better chance of ending in the top 3. But if Leipzig wins, they can actually move to fourth place from the seventh because they have a better goal difference than Leverkusen. So I think this is an important match for Leverkusen and they have to win this or else they are going to move further down the table.

41% of the total correspondents are those who hate stupidity and support change.  the popularity of fiat is decreasing day by day and the popularity of bitcoin is increasing, this shows that very many are dissatisfied with the current financial system and desperately need a revolution. Cool

This percentage is really higher, I have doubt about it. I think it is not global statistics, maybe it is local statistics of a specific city or country. In under developing countries, people even don't know about digital currency like PayPal, WebMoney. Bitcoin is far away from their knowledge. As you may know, even after EL Salvador officially adopted Bitcoin, its people ignorantly opposed it. Because these people are very ignorant about Bitcoin.
2247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 22, 2021, 05:46:06 PM
Yes, I think that is the more realistic situation for Barcelona at the moment as they are in a rebuilding situation themselves. I think the real contender here are real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid, and Sevilla. But I think real Madrid has the best chances of winning this League.

I think real Madrid will hold their position at the top till the end but I honestly don't know for sure because Real Sociedad is playing really well in this season and also Sevilla. They were really impressive this season till now and I honestly will not be surprised if one of these teams gets the league winner this time.

Freiburg were devastated today after losing to Frankfurt by 2-0 home. Frankfurt brought the score to 2-0 in the first half already. And this caused Freiburg to lose their morale at a really high rate. They tried to show a much better performance in the second half but they were too bad at finishing. Only two out of fourteen shots were on goal and none of them ended up with a goal. Now, they are a little more away from Bayern Munich and Dortmund. The gap between Freiburg and Dortmund is now five points. It looks like the Bayern Munich loss has affected Freiburg badly.
Freiberg's performance in this match was good. Just that, Frankfurt was fortunately enough to secure 2 goals within 9 minutes. The result came as a shock toe, because I literally thought the match was going to end in favor of Freiburg. Nevertheless, the match was dominated by the host with 63% ball possession. Anyways, Freiburg are still maintaining their place on the standings, but they are just a point ahead of Bayer Leverkusen. And I think they have to be more careful when playing their next match, it is probably against VfL Bochum.

Yes. Freiburg's next match is going to be against Vfl Bochum. And I think they will be able to win this match. In the last match I think that when there went behind two goals so early in the match, it had a psychological effect on them. And they never recovered from that.

Napoli unbeaten record so far has finally ended in Intermilan's hands, despite winning 1-0 in the first half, Napoli's game looked less aggressive and they struggled to create opportunities to add goals and the attack initiative built by Intermilan was actually very effective, so Intermilan managed to come back and end the match with a 3-2 advantage, Intermilan who managed to get full points of course is now starting to threaten the position of Napoli and AC Milan with a difference of 4 points now.

Yes and I think if inter Milan continues to play like this they might be able to hold the title of this League. But I honestly think that the most chances of the team winning this League is to be with AC Milan. They are playing well and at the second position right now and have the same points as Napoli just behind in goal difference.

Anyone excited about the NZ tour test matches of India?
Since the 3 match T20I dominated completely by the Indian team even though the big names are missing still you expect the same thing to happen so this is some kind of revenge for what happened in T20 world cup super12.  Cheesy

Don't be so sure because Newzealand is a far better test playing team them a one-day or t20 team. Don't forget that Newzealand is the test cricket champion of the world. So I think India has their work cut out in the test matches.
After a clean sweep against New Zealand in the T20I series, India teams seem to be flying high. It will be interesting to see if the outcome will be the same as the T20I series or if the Black Caps will fight back tenaciously. Are India's T20s consistent enough to transfer to the Test games and really take revenge on the current ICC World Test Champion?

I think India will have to work hard here to win against New Zealand in test matches, because you know New Zealand has always been better in the test format more than the other two formats of cricket. So I think India has to be careful and not get very overconfident. But depending on the situation. Actually, I think India will win.

I was saddened when Zidane turned down the offer but since he has his own ambitions and personal reasons then giving Michael Carrick the chance to prove his worth should be next. His first debut in the champios league against Villarreal what a strong task ahead. This match would definitely speak much about him either ways the game goes

Stop your sadness, Zidane doesn't want to be at Manchester United, maybe there will be someone more appropriate to bring Manchester United to the front seat with a new coach who is still a question mark. Maybe we think that so far Zidane deserves to be in the chair of Manchester United coach. While the United manager has also offered it first.
Because next Sunday to face Chelsea, of course this is quite a tough challenge.

This is not sadness rather this is a concern for the club. As almost all the first thing that if Zidane came in as the coach rather than Carrick, Manchester United would have done much better under his management. But I think we have to wait and see now what happens in the future. And I also don't think that the present coach will be here for much longer.

How could they think that Messi was the problem, when Messi even said that he will play for half of his wage just to play for Barcelona. I think the board has become delusional and cannot take any decision with A straight mind.
Instead of accepting the blame for their mistakes they are looking for a scapegoat, the problem is that it does not make sense at all to blame Messi, he was one of the main reasons Barcelona has been as successful as it was, he brought a lot of revenue to the club by selling their merchandise, brought a huge number of fans which increased the revenue they got from TV rights and he did not managed the money of the club, besides by creating this kind of fight between the club and Messi they are forcing the fans to pick a side, and most of the time the fans will side with the player that has brought them so much joy over the years.
Everyone has the right to their point of view, but in my humble opinion it is extremely stupid to associate the current not the best position of Barcelona with the figure of Messi. I think Messi may well play for Barcelona not even for half of his current salary, but for one percent Wink But not now, but in a few years when the career of a football player will already be at sunset and the football player will at least want to help his hometown club, like Alves who agreed to play for the lowest salary in the club Grin Well, now, while Lionel is still in a pretty good condition, the hopes of Messi returning to the club for the sake of playing for pennies are very, very naive.

Well, I think that Messi actually should not come back to Barcelona just because of his self-respect. I mean after doing so much for a club and with the club when they don't give you any respect, there are some problems. There could be more problems in the future also. And I also think that Messi will think something like that too.

The German government has begun to tighten the rules on vaccinations now including for footballers and team staff who play in the Bundesliga, so far players and  staff have only shown negative results for COVID-19 but now they are required to have a vaccination certificate, the incident that hit the Bremen coach of course It's quite unfortunate, especially since this can have an impact on transmitting the virus to other players and staff, in my opinion, whatever the reason for falsifying certificates is a wrong thing and deserves to be punished very severely, because with the current pandemic conditions of course we are all in the war against the pandemic in order not to spread the corona virus further, apart from Markus Anfang, Bremen assistant coach Florian Junge has resigned from the club because he was involved in the forgery.

Yes, I totally agree with you because you cannot falsify about anyone's safety and security. And hear about falsifying only one thing he put the whole club at-risk and also the teams where they have visited to play away matches. And I also think that the German government has taken the right step.
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 22, 2021, 01:32:03 PM
With the defeat from inter, napoli squandered the opportunity to stay away from ac milan, and this is not the first time this has happened, I remember when in week 12 actually ac milan also had the opportunity to overtake napoli but unfortunately when napoli  a draw, milan also got the draw against Inter and this makes the competition between the two teams only different on goal difference with the same points, I think the competition between Milan and Napoli will likely be very tight until the end of the season.
Inter and Fiorentina made it difficult for the two of them even it was difficult to move on in the last two weeks even though the points were still quite decent but if they let their guard down again in the next match then the competition would be close, Inter are still trying to chase points and this is indeed deserved to compete in this competition the following week.
I watched Inter vs Napoli, although it was a bit stressful for Inter it proved that they are playing at home pretty sure with such a dramatic result.
An Inter Milan coach Inzhagi can quite manage with his tactics.

Napoli vs inter was interesting and I kind of did not expect Napoli to lose because of the form they are in right now. though Napoli had better possession of the ball, inter had more shots on target and mainly the penalty that Napoli conceded cost them the match.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: November 22, 2021, 01:16:52 PM
Yes, that is what I am trying to say. And also if you are managing a big team you have to listen to the star players of the team. As their actions can be more impactful on the media and to people. Just like the Cristiano Ronaldo situation in Manchester united. And as he has better players, if they don't perform, it's on the manager. So a manager can be under some pressure while managing a big team.
You got a very serious and notable point here. In a big team almost all the players are proven good and skillful, so whenever a team is doing bad, it will be attributed to the coach hence the individual players profile is bright.
But for an average club the narrative is different. When the team performs poorly it will be attributed to the average players being used and hence call for new signings. Thanks for pointing this out.
Also whenever a big club coach has a fight with high profile players, the players always win.

Yes, exactly and because of the player proving himself in the past under other managers, everyone points to the manager don't do his work correctly. And when small clubs face this problem it's generally the player's fault because he is not in form.

I'm not in favor of any kind of ban-politics of ICC in cricket, if any country wants to boycott Afghanistan team due to regime change then they can do this in bilateral level, its their right to do so. However counter argument to your comment would be. What was the South African players fault when they faced a ban from the ICC due to racial tension in their country? What was Zimbabwean cricketer's fault when their government tried to take complete control of their cricket?
Yes Zimbabwe has faced ban from ICC and I dont know what is their fault, surely it was not thr players fault and they are suffering from this. Many of those now become unemployed as cricket was their source of income and they cannot get another job. It is sad to feel that because of these thing players get suffer. Yes a couple of those can play some franchise cricket but what about others

Yes, people who play cricket as their profession can face some really difficult times when their international cricket team gets banned from cricket. I mean it's not like football where if you get banned from international football you can still play for the league and earn quite a lot of money.

Bayern were very unlucky in the final stages of the attack, judging by the statistics. 16 shots and only 4 of them shots on target, 10 corners. Probably the players were tired after the matches of the national teams and this affected their concentration. In any case, today I will root for Borussia and hope that the intrigue in the championship will be revived.

I watched the whole game and i have to say that yes of course bayern was very unlucky because they were just completely dominant but somehow still managed to be 0-2 behind and then it is very hard of course because the opponent will just defend with every player that they have on their team and the space for Bayern to initiate attacks and develop chances is just so little. I also have to say though that in some way i think bayern deserved that loss yesterday as they did not seem to go all out yesterday. In the second half they maybe had 2 or 3 big chances to score and this is just not enough if you need to score at least 2 goals.

What happens when you get behind on the scoreboard while playing with a smaller team because after scolding one or two goals they will just Park the bus. Their defense will not come up at all and even their II mid-field holds a defensive line for the team. I honestly think Bayern Munich was really unlucky.
2258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 20, 2021, 06:09:40 PM
and... Dybala is broken, he will skip the game versus Lazio.
~snip~
Dybala's injury cost Juventus a little, but this was Chiesa's chance. Even though Chiesa's original position was Midlifer Allegri once made him a striker. He became a central striker while playing in ucl against Chelsea. At that time Allegri's courage resulted in a 1-0 win over Chelsea. But seeing them not being well, Lazio and Juventus are continuing to improve their unstable games.

I think injuries can always play a really important role for any squad. And there are certain players who cannot be substituted and I think Dybala is that kind of a player for Juventus. But whatever happens, I think Juventus is still better than their opponent in the match.
2259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 20, 2021, 06:02:21 PM
I never expected the absence of Messi to affect Barcelona this much. They are not among the top 6 in their League and their performance has dropped. We all blamed it on their former Coach Koeman, and now that they have a new Coach, I hope their performance improves. Well, their next Champion League match is against Benfica. Although, their last encounter with Benfica in the Champion League wasn't a good one. But, Benfica won't easily win this time, Barcelona will probably fight for 3 winning points, which they are likely to get. However, the match will be very tough, and it might end draw.
Messi is not a problem of Barcelona but people did not recognize his contribution for the club when he was there. They tried to say Messi is one of their problems. Then when Messi departured them, they blamed it on Koeman. What the board of Barcelona did is blaming on players and coaches. They did not admit their mistake and fix it.

The season will be key for Barcelona. They can pass through all challenge, rebuild the club and come back stronger in next 2 or 3 seasons. It will be smooth only if they don't fall into financial crisis. The failure to get a position in top 4 of La Liga and striked out in Champions League will be nightmare for them.

How could they think that Messi was the problem, when Messi even said that he will play for half of his wage just to play for Barcelona. I think the board has become delusional and cannot take any decision with A straight mind.
2260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 20, 2021, 04:57:40 PM
Uruguay lost another match to Bolivia by a score of 3-0. As far as South American football goes, I only know Brazil and Argentina, as well as Columbia and Uruguay. Since 2018, Uruguay have been terrible. Their squad is aging, and their current cycle has ended. This is not a surprise win for Bolivia. Luis Suarez's dreams of competing in the 2022 World Cup seem dim. South America qualifiers are a place where even the best teams are subject to defeat by the worst. In reality, any other qualifier cannot be compared to CONMEBOL.

I don't want to divert the debate from UEFA, but there is only one confederation that is more competitive compared to them and it is CONMEBOL. It is very unfortunate that quality teams like Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia and Venezuela struggle to qualify for the world cup, because there are only limited slots allotted to CONMEBOL. If they were participating from any other confederation, then in all probability most of these teams would qualify easily. For example, Venezuela has never played in a FIFA World Cup to this date.

This is true but also at the same time unfortunate. There are some quality teams and if they have chances to play in the world cup I think they would have done well even against quality opponents. By the way, can anyone tell me about the Netherlands? Like what is their current situation and about their squad.
