2241  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL'ers lose. That is no surprise on: October 28, 2019, 04:00:40 PM
I bought @150 and @600 and hodled ever since. Not sure how I lost?

You lost compared to Binance CEO. I read his tweet today . He said he sold house and bought at $600. So similar as you. Then he did not hold but start an exchange with that Bitcoins 2-3 years latter.  You gained towards some, and lost toward others.

Why will you invest in something you know nothing about?

Most people invest in their cars, but have no ideas how they  work under the hood. How is possible they pout fuel in and then press pedals and it drives them wherever they want.  Amazing!
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 28, 2019, 02:59:43 PM
So unless you were to be implying that some point below 3.39% triggers the price to stop going down ..

No I just said that you can not compare anything with Monero first year. Emission inflation was huge. Same as was in Bitcoin, ZCash and now in Grin. ZCash is losing value for 3 years now. From 2000 BTC to 0,004 BTC. So much selling pressure as happened in beginning of 2015 for Monero did not happened after that and will never happen again.  Corrections happens after each price increase. They did, they do and they will do. But  strength of corrections will be smaller and smaller. This is actually what Stock to flow ratio tells us (what is widely misunderstood in crypto community).  Commodities with higher stock to flow ratio are more stable. They fluctuate less. Gold will increase value much less then Silver. It will latter on correct less also. 10 years old cryptocurrencies of course can not exactly follow patterns of 10000 years old commodities. But that is what stock to flow ratio tells us.

And if it wasn't quite clear to you, I said very specifically that I wouldn't recommend buying if you haven't already been buying, not whatever you've seem to have read it as.

I am sure you can buy Monero at lover price then is right now but. You will not buy it at much lower price. Price of Monero will be way higher 2 yeas from now. At this moment I would strongly recommend to buy it. When price will go over $500 I will stop recommending, but people will only start buying then.
2244  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: October 28, 2019, 02:25:33 PM
There is always between 10-15 players and chat is totally died

I always see people chat. I mean that chat was active in last hour or two. You cant expect to be constantly active. There is not 1000 players gambling for that to happen.
2245  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Buyers Club on: October 28, 2019, 01:43:03 PM
I've been tossing around the idea of starting a group of people who are committed to buying Bitcoin every month. Can be a small portion, like 5$, or however much people can afford (I suppose it would make sense to use higher amounts for fee reasons, though). I myself have set up a monthly wire transfer from my bank account to Coinbase and a recurring purchase of Bitcoin every 1st day of the month. This is really simple, and you keep investing and $-cost-averaging your BTC purchases.

Who's in?

When you start a club you need to offer advantages. What are the advantages for someone to join this club? will he be able to get coins cheaper?  Will his coins be more secure? What?
2246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet Price Prediction 2019/2020 - The King Of DEX's. on: October 27, 2019, 05:51:38 PM
$100/coin is easily achievable due to the low circulating supply of coins. I did my research, and compared to other DEX solutions, BLOCK is the clear winner of them all.

Any reason why there is not BisQ on that chart you presented?
2247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: October 27, 2019, 03:51:38 PM
We have been doing same mistakes again and again  ...

If you did it few times you should learn. Everyone need to do few trades to understand that he is a small fish and that Whales will eat him. You learn best by doing it.  OK some people are smart enough and know how to listen. For the rest of us we need to learn on our mistakes. But if you repeat same mistake again and again, then I dont really know what to advise you beside to visit your doctor and ask him to get you a specialist.
2248  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes a Fiat worthless? on: October 27, 2019, 03:16:33 PM
What makes a Fiat worthless?

Cryptocurrencies are making fiat worthless. Ten years ago when they did not exist there was no alternative to fiat, so no matter how many flaws fiat have there was need for it. Right now there is not anymore.   why is fiat so bad?  Because it is linked to government. there is zero need for that.
2249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 27, 2019, 02:32:07 PM
Years ago it went down from $6.50 to a quarter, which was a crippling loss of 96% and 0.01 to 0.00095, which was a crippling loss of 91% BTC-wise and we aren't even all the way there yet. That'd be at the 0.0014 btc/xmr or $19 mark so until I see either of those hit I really don't see a point in recommending a buy to anyone who hasn't already been buying it all the way down until this point. At least anyone looking to actually make money within the typical frame of next week or next month, or next quarter, or even next year.

Monero went from $6.50 to a quarter in first year when yearly mining emission was 100%. So at the bottom in one year emission doubled. Before that was even higher. Now yearly mining emission is 3.4% and that would take 30 years to double, but since it keep decrease will take more then a century.
2250  Economy / Economics / Re: A CryptoCurrency Design Paradigm For The Future on: October 27, 2019, 01:50:40 PM
One reason for bitcoin being considered a legitimate store of value is its algorithmically limited supply. Bitcoin's design safeguards against hyperinflation and devaluation which have plagued fiat currencies throughout history. Although miners could try to circumvent this design feature by significantly ramping up hash rates, as we have perhaps witnessed of late with the explosion of btc hash.

Can you explain more what you meant here? What can miners do to inflate Bitcoins supply?   Beside to change that in the protocol.
2251  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's still going down (Oct 26, 2019) on: October 27, 2019, 02:47:42 AM
Even though price of BTC bumped up yesterday from $7,400 up to 10,400.  Price is still in a downtrend.

I am not too optimistic just from one day of big green candles along with some announcement from China.

Heavily manipulated it is, more and more every day. Good bye.

Bitcoin is heavily manipulated. When goes up and when goes down. But in general trend is stable. Not going either up or down much but stay where it is for half year.
2252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let this rise be a lesson - Bitcoin isn't strongly tied to anything on: October 27, 2019, 02:17:31 AM
As you know, every time there's a major price movements, the next day people, especially crypto journalists, start coming up with their own explanations why it happened - they try to tie it to some political or economical events in the world, statements by important individuals or organizations, correlation with some other markets, something related to mining and so on and so on.

Well, today Bitcoin went up by 14% ($1,000) without absolutely no reason - nothing important happened today that could have shaken the price so much. Let this be a lesson to people who look for patterns - Bitcoin is random and unpredictable in short terms, just accept it.

It is. Bitcoin is strongly tied to Whale manipulation. You would not have such sudden growth and falls if that would not be the case. People usually complain when price drops that market is manipulated. But is is same manipulated t such growth that just happened yesterday. It is all orchestrated by whales. They steal small traders money this way.

Is Quantum Computing News Utilized to Manipulate Markets and Crash BTC

Whales uses any possible FUD possible. Not just about quantum computes but just anything. Government bans, hacks, energy consumption, forks, competitive coins.  That is how they make their profit. That is their job.
2254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think will outperform btc in the upcoming crypto summer? on: October 26, 2019, 07:59:07 PM
What altcoins do you think will outperform btc in the upcoming crypto summer?

Most will. When Bitcoin will reach $20k and more a lot of hype will happen in around crypto. That will bring a lot of speculators and stupid money in crypto and they will just buy whatever it is listed on exchanges.
2255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are You Concerned On Sudden Rise of Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2019, 07:15:08 PM
Bitcoin just made a sudden or abrupt rise hours ago and it reached more than $10,000 before settling at around $9000 as of the moment. Now, I am actually so excited and happy for this development as I also have some Bitcoin hidden somewhere. However, i am a little worried that this very volatile move can be bringing some damage to its overall reputation as a store of value and a future global currency.

Is my concern really valid in the face of this ongoing development?

This is nothing unusual. It is happening all the time. Price of Bitcoin decreased because of whales two days ago by almost 10%. In June I remember it went down and back up for 20% in few days time. If you check price in past you will see this happens all the time. Price of Bitcoin is highly manipulated by whales. Do not trade Bitcoin. If you want to trade you trade something else and keep away of Bitcoin. You will definitely lose here.
2256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you explain the recent surge in Bitcoin price? on: October 26, 2019, 06:03:13 PM
How do you explain the recent surge in Bitcoin price?

Whales are playing. It is happening all the time. In June price went up and down 20 % in few days. Price went down two days ago for almost 10%. Bitcoin price is highly manipulated by whales. That is why trading of Bitcoin is highly not advised.

Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help

Whatever you do, make sure your coins will be 100% secure. If someone steal them from you you will have no house and nothing. No matter what coins you will buy. Telling people you are buying is already a mistake.
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zuckerberg: we will exit from project Libra !!!! on: October 25, 2019, 05:36:25 PM
Zuckerberg: if legislators’ trust is not gained, we will exit from project Libra
CEO of Facebook in a hearing in front of the Congress said that Facebook is no longer in the position of project controller and the operation of Libra is independent.
What do you think about this?

If Facebook leave project Libra there are 21 other partners that can step up and lead Libra to world domination. One company is not what makes Libra project killer of many shitcoins.
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH price prediction on: October 25, 2019, 02:31:37 PM
BCH price prediction

BCH have way to many competitors to gain more success as have it right now. Most of them are very skilled and invest a lot in marketing and promotion of their transparent cryptocurrencies.
2260  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2019-10-24] Bitcoin Price Crashed Today: 2 Reasons on: October 25, 2019, 02:00:47 PM
Why Bitcoin crashed?

Someone bought Tesla shares with Bitcoin.  at same time as crash happened price of Tesla shares increased for 20%.
