The next few 15minutes-es are critical!

Hmmm.  Now it's time to see how good 15m charts work... hoping for not that good.

Full Disclosure: Waiting for funds to clear so I can clean out my balance on the exchange, and loading up for a small sell order @ $60k USD for further funding of Ranchero Lawblaw. Hoping it happens in this tax-quarter.

Was going to wait for $75k and sell a larger chunk, but purpose-selling at $60k for the ranch build is justifiable to me.

Rick is already starting to stress out about cost overruns, and I'll be Goddamned if I'm going to let dude cheap out on my dream ranch-home build, so, yeah. Gotta smack that little bitch with my wallet.dat again.

"Yes. I want a fucking fishing dock. I don't see the problem spending $15k to have one properly built, goddamnit. Yes, I understand a new high quality fence will likely set us back $50k-$60k around the perimeter. Yes. I expect the bridge engineering and construction to cost north of $100k" sorta shit.

We have problems.

Rich people problems.  It's all your black, gay, cowboy privilege. Check it!

I once played a gig at the house (highland park) of DFW's ranch fence mogul, if you want me to get you the info let me know.  His house did not speak to him being the "discount" guy though, lol.

Only question I would have if I pay for a Tesla with BTC am I still liable for Capital Gains Tax or not.  Huh

It depends on where you live.  In the US?  Yes.  You have to pay the tax.

“Someone just transferred 12,000 #bitcoin  off of Coinbase, that's over half a billion dollars. They bought the dip.”
https://twitter.com/documentingbtc/status/1374356761000431620?s=21

Elon is that you?

I see a lot of folks wondering if it is Musk, or Saylor, and although those are great, I would MUCH rather see it be a purchase by some other entity.  Those guys will look like us spiral eyed loons as they keep buying... but if it's GOOG or APPL or something... whee!

Yes that’s absolutely true, these entities will jump in sooner or later... GOOG, APPL, FBOK even MSOFT can’t be ruled out.

It's all about game theorie. Sooner or later they will have to adapt if they don't want to fall behind. Devil take the hindmost.

I have a serious question how these entities are able to withdraw tens of 1000s of BTC is single go when normal users have limits from 1BTC to 100BTC Max.
And that’s after f*cking annoying KYC. Take naked pics with your driving license one hand and hand written note on other hand.

These deals are not happening on the retail exchanges but via the OTC desks.  Coinbase seems to be the big winner here, which is a sort of shame.  I would like to see more action at ANY of the other US exchange's OTC desks.

And I speculate many of these buyers are also counting on the broker they use to manage the custody as well, so the movement is most likely to a segregated address that Coinbase (or whomever) actually holds the keys for.

When observing such things, one should really examine how the "happiness" is measured. More often than not, it's agenda driven with metrics of "social justice" and "nationalized healthcare" rather than attempting to measure the subjective happiness of countries' citizens directly.

True, you need to know how they define "happiness" if it's gonna make any sense.

Or, it could just be that we are happy because we are the master race.

Oh for crying out loud, I'm just kidding, stop steaming JJG.
Or am I?

I will give you a hint what I think of this list.

This is almost the same list as if you ranked "The top 10 western socialist countries".  So either socialism makes you happy... or someone wants us to think it does.

Also, some of these countries have very high suicide rates.

Evidently it's a hard job being the master race.

I cannot think of a reason against the idea if big institutional money is taking positions now on the OTC market, that they would also be spending the comparatively smaller money on driving down the retail prices.  Seems almost obvious.

If this paranoid scenario is indeed happening, then eventually the OTC market will dry up at these prices.  That strategy has a shelf life, I think.

I just listened to the Robert Kiyosaki interview with Saifedean Ammous.

It is one of the weirdest things I have ever heard.  But good.  Kiyosaki rips Saif to shreds for his absolutelist tendencies which was satisfying, but he also sort of also reinforces the bonehead boomer stereotype. (As a GenX person I get to laugh at just about every generation that matters (since our basically does not)).

https://www.richdad.com/podcasts/saifedean-ammous

I just listened to it, for someone who wrote a book, can't even answer a simple question...

RK: I've started my own Gold Mine, "Why can't I start my own Bitcoin"

Robert knows a lot about Bitcoin, but is playing dumb just to gauge the response of Saif...

I've listened to a lot of Robert Kiyosaki's podcasts where the subject of Bitcoin comes up. Robert asks that same question every single time. I think long ago when he first started asking that question, people would try to answer it by saying, "Well you absolutely can! But...many have already with forks, and..." and he would then just tune them out on their unsatisfactory (to him) answer.

So now people don't even try to answer it anymore. So then he goes around still saying "No one every seems to give me a satisfactory answer to the question: 'Why can't I just create my own Bitcoin?' "

They have, Robert. You're either just not listening, or you don't care for the answer you are receiving.

"It's not about how many Bitcoin networks are created. It's about which one of them is believed in and supported the most."

It would be easy for an artist to make a painting similar to what Jackson Pollock did.
It's pretty much a guarantee that only those made by the latter will ever be worth $100 million+.

If you bring up #NFTs in this topic one more time i am ignoring you! Wink Wink Wink

Yeah.. That was the "dumb boomer" part of what I experienced listening to it.   And frankly I pretty much hate the whole boomer bashing culture of BT etc.  But while he seems to be stuck like a broken record (yes, vinyl) on the whole 'why can't I make my own bitcoin' thing, he calls Saif out every SINGLE time he frames things in a completely black and white manner.  Saif might be the pinnacle of the sort of black and white thinking bitcoiners are famous for.  And of COURSE bitcoin creates black and white thinkers.  It may be the most black and white thing we ever see in our life.

But how can Kyosaki be so prescient and so dumb at the same time?  I do not think he can.  Triple digit millionaires do not get there by accident.  Anyway.. this whole cognitive dissonance is what threw me for such a loop with this podcast.

I am a keto bitcoiner.  So criticizing Ammous for his polarity is maybe a bit hypocritical.  And the crazy thing is... Bitcoin *IS* a binary bet.  Still. It's just the odds are swinging crazily in favor of the corn.  And all the "toxic bitcoiners" are right.  But this is also costly, even if it is a correct framing.

I really cringe at all the #HFSP type of positioning intelligent BTC'ers display.  But perhaps that is part of being GenX?  I am half boomer, half millennial basking in the warm glow of the corn.

I suppose I can only expect some tension.  Luckily I am being constantly enriched in the process...  lol whatever (the song of my people).

Didn't need a stimmy. Does not feel right asking for one.
Respect.

Observing a nice little rise $56400 Smiley

Still for ants, but it should grow.

BTW, the Delta Investment Portfolio Tracker app (on Android) is working great. Notifications come nicely. Only bad thing is, so far they've been notifying me of BTC price drops... Hopefully. my phone will soon start bleeping constantly due to the expected UPpity!

LOL.  You know... there will always be ants.  It's just that eventually even the ants are going to look like something out of a Japanese Mothra film.

Eventually we will see 100k daily candles.

Or Bitcoin has failed.

How do you determine that the Bitcoin price is not overvalued?

I tend to look at various (long term) indicators which may give guidance on this point.

https://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-mvrv-ratio/#:~:text=MVRV%20is%20simply%20the%20ratio,spotting%20market%20tops%20and%20bottoms.
https://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-nvt-price/
https://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-vwap-ratio/
https://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-price-models/

The Mayer Multiple is also a good one.

https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/mayer-multiple/
https://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-mayer-multiple/

But in the end it's also about your own gut feeling. A simple rule could be: when in ultra bull market phase, think about selling some if price doubles again within 3 weeks.

No worries, were not in 'ultra bull market phase' yet.

Great charts... But fuck Trace Mayer.

Sorry... and it is obviously well known here that I am not exactly a "Saif Maxi".  But there is a big difference between thinking there might be one or two interesting crypto assets in the unicorn land (I think 1) and shilling a premined shitcoin with slips of paper at a bitcoin conference by using your reputation.

I just want to continue to make sure that reputation remains ruined.

That said, the  "200MA Multiple" is certainly a useful metric.

Fuck Trace.

But they can never say that they weren’t warned to cash out into real money while they still can.

People don't like to hear it around here, but fiat currency is the safest, best currency in the history of human science. Economists and myself have proven this by pure mathematics techniques. I'm grateful I cashed out long ago and have sound money safely stored in good stock investments and secure fiat cash in a safe modern bank account earning low, but safe yields for my future. Bitcoin is a failed technology and a dangerous house of cards confirmed on its way to zero.

You are right as usual. I have seen bitcoin add quite a few zeros...  I think we should see a couple more before it's over.

That's how we know your wife reads the WO too.  Lips sealed

Actually that's how you know she DOESN'T Wink  Not if I ever want to see it again.

Is this thread dead? Thats kind of sad if it is.

I would guess no-one wants to give you bad advice so no replies.

Fair enough.

That would scare the shit out of me Anon..  I would not hit send, that's for sure.

What I would do:
Make sure Trezor is up to date firmware/app wise.
Search reddit.
Try it with a fresh install of the s/w and a recreated wallet.
Reach out to Trezor if the above does not solve it...

here is masterluc/pentarhudi:

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/zzbhCPLm-Long-term-targets-approaching/

He was misfiring on short term targets lately, admitting to that, longer term look solid.
However, i don't get all this talk about a new crisis. We are just coming out of one and about to have a growth spike.
A new crisis might happen later in the decade, but I don't see it soon, albeit higher inflation is possible with a caveat that deflationary forces (technology) remain as strong as ever.

Bitcoin bouncing around this summer between $100k and $250k would be fun.

Screw that... let's  bounce around between 250-750.  Too much?

You can take them all out for the day (fucking & sucking included) on your yacht for a good price in 2021 when we hit $100,000 per bitcoin.

To the moon bitches!

I'm going to hold you to that.

OMG guys 100k party is gonna be fun!  Cool

There will be no $100k party. You can easily confirm this with math and confirmed sources of not fake news.

I will not be going to any 100k party (opsec... etc...).

But if you go?

Nah.. still not going.
