Brincadeiras a parte.

https://www.lojadomecanico.com.br/produto/252617/2/121/chave-de-fenda-316-x-3---robust-robust-252617

2263  Economy / Services / Re: I'll Do Odd Jobs for You on: July 05, 2022, 04:17:22 PM
Thanks for the merits and few odd jobs. I want more odd jobs, not just writing articles. Though that is still acceptable. And please those asking for dubious jobs such as fake id, I do not offer illegal odd jobs. Thanks.

Someone just proposed a VA job but not paying in btc. I accept other coins too.
Another proposed forum posting here. That's a no-no, please do not ask me to post here.
Yet another proposed I verify their Remitano account. That's illegal.

C'mon people. ONLY LEGAL odd jobs are needed.

sent you a merit for having work ethics
this should be the way, always
but unfortunately there are just too many bad actors in crypto.

good luck with your work!

2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: July 05, 2022, 03:53:33 PM
Chess always had good reputation, its just recently it got a bit more popular and been recognized by another generation.
<..>

I wonder how much the Netflix series "Queen's gambit" affected chess' reputation
we know media can shape the culture in really interesting (and sometimes bad ways), in this case it probably affected it but not sure if we can measure how much and in which countries.
Queen Gambit is a fine series and in another forum there was so much discussion made on it.
I don't think chess has been affected by the series it came recently but it is good to see how kids can choose a good line and stick to it.

maybe it wasn't that much, but would be nice to look at the data

it was the series that really motivated me to learn more about chess theory and technique and to play more often
same thing for some of my friends

but would love to check online chess websites number of users over time to try to see if there are any correlations
2267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 04, 2022, 01:13:46 PM
Gamblers also suffer on market crash, there are some crypto gambling platforms that accept crypto but doesn't convert its value to $ value. While market price declines, we have to bet higher coin amounts for same payout. This is huge trouble especially when market goes down %60 and gamblers have to cover market losses before withdrawal on wining streak.

that makes sense
since bull markets also bring more attention to crypto websites the volume on gambling websites crypto-based is probably correlated with prices

I remember in the last bear market the signature campaigns here even stopped.

The whale gamblers won't be affected much, but the common gamblers like you and me spending few dollars were affected, because when we spend $20 on a single bet we're risking near to 0.001BTC in today's price. If the price is around $31k then what we're risking is near to 0.00065BTC. There is a difference and this is what we say the common gamblers were affected.

At most gambling sites nowadays, there's always an option to bet on USD value worth of  BTC.

When you are betting using a USD value, that $20 bet will be adjusted too.

Not unless you are betting always on a fixed BTC value, which I think is not your usual. Am I right here?

How do you place a bet? I don't see the difference between betting a $20 in $20,000 BTC value and a $30,000 BTC value. You won't feel much as what matters here is to just continue your usual betting. While placing a bet, it does not make sense for me to include that current BTC exchange rate on your mind while you are playing. It's a distraction.

you are right
but the biggest difference may be if someone accumulates bitcoin and thinks as an investor
and what is their entry price too, even if they're not investors

what do you think? most of the gamblers probably don't care about investing?
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: July 01, 2022, 01:00:59 PM
great continuation, last topic was really good

Do you think Carlsen will maintain his word and play only if it is Aliza Firouzja?
why do you think he wants that?

but I'm not sure I understand how the jackpot winner is determined? Still hope to win it tho. Smiley
If I'm not mistaken it's based on the tickets you collect. so well at least for me personally the first 10 tickets with $ 10 is not something that is heavy enough. Just brewing while testing your luck. The more tickets and pairs you save, the more terrifying it can be. Let's see how far luck comes in early July.  Grin

is there a way to calculate odds of winning?
just curious about the processes
some websites share these verifiable random links where you can check provenance too
it's quite cool

after 3 months:
The Ronin Bridge Is Open 🌱

really impressive for the team to recover from what was one of the biggest hacks in the world
maybe this will help fudders to chill out a bit...

more information on their substack

Still probably not good enough but a good start.

Fixing something broken that should not have been broken,  is not an achievement. It’s standard.
After the hack, the one who wants to go in and use bridge will have second thoughts
Now is the time to sit back and see what's gonna happen next

I agree
though they got so down the whole, so beaten up, that the chances of never recovering from this hack were present as well

I'm just surprised that they could do it.

what about collective creations, when more than one person creates the same artwork? this should be ok, right?
I don't really see any issues here.

As long as the artwork is original and is composed or conceptualize by you and your colleagues -- that's fine. However, you will be the one responsible distributing the rewards among your friends since they are involved who put an effort in making the artwork materialize.

Just don't commit plagiarism/artwork stealing -- there is nothing to worry about. Goodluck.

yes, totally
I don't see a big problem on it

of course, collaborators will have to trust the receiver of the prize so they don't get stolen but should be fine with friends and honest people

plagiarism is the worst
2274  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Ganhe Satoshis ouvindo podcasts na Fountain on: June 29, 2022, 03:20:40 PM

The Ronin Bridge Is Open 🌱

depois de 3 meses a bridge reabriu
impressionante

Sim, Liquidity Pool = "LP" tokens.

DAI/USDC
ETH/USDC

sim, agora tudo faz sentido

I often find it quite interesting how each person sees things by a different point of view
really proves the fact Hayek stated, that "knowledge is distributed in society", so one individual won't know more than the sum of many

2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 29, 2022, 02:06:43 PM

My advice is to stop before you lose a lot and never continue playing when you can win a lot, just like that.

It looks easy, but doing it is very difficult because I have experienced it. Limiting access to bankrolls can be a solution but as a gambler, you will be able to find ways to keep depositing money to play gambling. Stopping when you reach a certain number of wins is similar to my suggestion but here, the difference is that you say a certain amount, whereas I don't say how much.

yes, definitely one of the cases where it's easier said than done
another solution is deciding how many games you will play or for how long
or also have a "guardian", a person who'll be with you and tell you to stop

none of these are fool proof, but can be helpful

https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/hex-to-decimal.html
