I never expected the absence of Messi to affect Barcelona this much. They are not among the top 6 in their League and their performance has dropped. We all blamed it on their former Coach Koeman, and now that they have a new Coach, I hope their performance improves. Well, their next Champion League match is against Benfica. Although, their last encounter with Benfica in the Champion League wasn't a good one. But, Benfica won't easily win this time, Barcelona will probably fight for 3 winning points, which they are likely to get. However, the match will be very tough, and it might end draw.
Messi is not a problem of Barcelona but people did not recognize his contribution for the club when he was there. They tried to say Messi is one of their problems. Then when Messi departured them, they blamed it on Koeman. What the board of Barcelona did is blaming on players and coaches. They did not admit their mistake and fix it. The season will be key for Barcelona. They can pass through all challenge, rebuild the club and come back stronger in next 2 or 3 seasons. It will be smooth only if they don't fall into financial crisis. The failure to get a position in top 4 of La Liga and striked out in Champions League will be nightmare for them. How could they think that Messi was the problem, when Messi even said that he will play for half of his wage just to play for Barcelona. I think the board has become delusional and cannot take any decision with A straight mind. |

Uruguay lost another match to Bolivia by a score of 3-0. As far as South American football goes, I only know Brazil and Argentina, as well as Columbia and Uruguay. Yesterday I discussed why United have no plans to replace Ole, today I read some media and found out that there is interest from Manchester United to bring in Zidane. MU is rumored going to make Ronaldo to help this process. Unfortunately, Zidane's wife still has not given permission, and expects Zidane to rest longer from football. But, how strong she can hold Zidane from coaching the club? I think if this is true then there is a hope for United. Whatever happens United should get rid of Ole. I also think Zidane will be a better manager for Manchester United in every aspect and the other players including Ronaldo should push the board for making Zidane the coach and sacking Ole. |

I heard Antonio is planning to change the 3-4-3 formation to 3-4-1-2 that way he is going to play and attacking midfielder behind the two strikers which are Harry Kane and Son,and that midfield position is between Ndombele and Geovanni Locelso to challenge for it, but if Deli Alli is serious about his career he can put his self into contention too.but I would love to see how Ndombele react to prove the coach he wants the play for,when Conte was at inter that he can play in his team.
Maybe not 3-4-1-2 but 3-5-2 which is his favorite formation. Delle Ali is a bit difficult to reserve lineup, if he wants to be a starter he must be better than Kane and Son. In another way, he should be able to play in various positions like winger or playmaker, but that position is filled up by other players like Emerson Royal and Højbjerg, 3-4-3 is good for him, but Conte needs a ball supplier which Delle Ali can't do for it. I think, Delle Ali needs to be given a chance as the provider or the ball supplier. He is a good player and I think ok that the club should try playing him in different positions but at least where he is comfortable playing. |

Portugal should have lost the game in Ireland as well, and even then it was obvious that Portugal had serious problems. In modern football, all players must have equal responsibilities and play both defense and attack. If you have a player who doesn’t play defense then you play with a player less all the time and that’s a serious handicap. Ronaldo has become bigger than his team and that is the main problem of Portugal. I really don't think he is the problem of any team. I think the problem is that the strategies are not being made around him. He is undoubtedly the best player in those teams. So the link strategy should be made around him and every player should try to enable their best player. And one player cannot do everything. If you ask Robert Lewandowski to play defense maybe he will do good because he was actually once a defender. But if you ask Luis Suarez to defend I know he will not do really well. I guess that Real Madrid are going to be playing one of their easiest games this weekend. We are going to watch them against Granada in an away game. Granada are one of the worst teams of the season so far. But they still scored 11 goals and conceded 16 goals in 12 games they played. This shows that they don't lose by a big gap that easy.
You have to be careful. Indeed Granada's game is in bad shape. They are in position 17 temporary standings. In 3 matches against Madrid they have never won. It looks easy but I think if Madrid underestimate it too much it will make them play badly and they can lose because they have underestimated. But Bayern Munich seem to be very decisive to win the title this season also. Dortmund have to show their biggest performance ever to take the lead from Bayern Munich and become the champions. But I know also that Reus wants to give hope to their fans as they are having a good season in the Bundesliga this time. There is no hope for AC Milan to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League this season because all the team in the group are very strong for them. 1 point from a total of 4 match is a very bad result for a team that has never lost in Serie A. AC Milan's next 2 match will never be easy for them at all, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid will surely do their best to qualify for the round of 16. 1 win and 1 draw will also not see them qualify, but it will be very difficult in my opinion. I would say Ronaldo is both a blessing and a curse to Manchester United.
The main problem is that Ronaldo doesn't play defense and therefore the cohesion of the team is disrupted, because in defense they have fewer players all the time.
The same problem exists in the Portuguese national team.
In modern football, as I mentioned in another post, all players have to play both defense and attack, and one player can't be more important than the whole team.
Nothing of the kind, Ronaldo fulfills all functions. If he hadn't been putting pressure on the opposing defenders (or even simply not being on the cutting edge of the attack, forcing them to retreat back to control his potential dash), then the attacking opponent could raise the midfield and defense lines very high, creating a large concentration of players near United's penalty area. What can we say about how he perfectly helps defenders when playing corners and standarts due to his excellent heading. Ronaldo is a great player and ugly the best player in the world. And when you have a player like that in your team as a coach you tend to make strategies around the player to enable his best plays. And one player cannot do everything in a team. What Ronaldo needs is everybody doing their work and him doing his which is scoring goals. |

This is an unfair decision as Baber scored these runs in 6 innings and warner took 7 innings to score even less runs.

But his team didn't win the cup, and as Australia won the cup and Warner scored 289 (only 14 less than Babar) Warner's runs were more impactful for his team. I don't think there's anything to worry about here, except if Chelsea really want to win the group then the next two matches should to win. But if Chelsea have decided it's okay to be runner-up, then I think a draw in the next two matches will not be a problem and not only that, even though it only gets one draw and one loss the fact it will still make Chelsea in same position. So yes, this match if they have to win basically only one it is about prestige, but if they leave that factor aside because they are also still focused in their respective leagues in the EPL and Serie A, then I think this match will just go on as usual without the tension is so high.
It really does matter for teams to finish at the top because you may actually get a subpar team if you finish at second, and sometimes you may end up against a team like Chelsea as well if they finish second, so all in all first place is a very doubtful position that may or may not provide you with easier opponent. However, second place guarantees that you are going to face a first team and that is not going to be easy for sure 100%, not saying first position will face easy opponent and it is not guaranteed but second position will definitely face a difficult opponent. This is why most teams try to finish first as much as possible since it guarantees at least a chance of an easier next stage. If there is a chance to get an easier opponent next round why not take the chance. And being first never hurt anyone, so I think any team should go for the first place, in that way they can also push their limits. And they can stay true to themselves. It's true that if you are in the second place it is more likely to get a very hard team as an opponent than it is if you be the first. And if you are the top team you can carry that mindset forward for the player's mental warfare. |

Currently Aston Villa fans certainly have high hopes for Gerrard to be able to lift their team performance again, to be honest I see the conditions that happened to Aston Villa are no different from what happened to Xavi in Barcelona, as players of course we recognize that Gerrard and Xavi are great players, but that certainly doesn't guarantee that they will be great coaches too, I think some clubs are currently taking a gamble by appointing a new coach who has little experience in a competitive league and even they have very high hopes on the coach in order to improve performance their team, to be honest I personally highly doubt that later Gerrard and Xavi will be able to make a difference to the club they train especially with the current inadequate squad.
To be honest, Gerrard did a good job in the Scottish league with Rangers and rightfully Aston Villa's fans have great expectations. However, it seems that Gerrard has in the back of his mind to be open for any possible discussions with Liverpool after his contract expires since it's the same period that Klopp's contract expires. Interesting, right? Until then, I want to see the 11th of December when he will face the Reds for the first time as a rival. Even if he is now a manager... Who does not want to be the manager of a better team? I mean even if I was given a chance to manage Aston Villa or Liverpool, I will choose Liverpool any day of the week. Juve's last two games won a positive result from Juve. won 1-0 against Fiorentina and won 4-2 against Zenit in the Campion League.

Yesterday I was surprised by Switzerland's game against Italy! I was sure to the end that the Italians could have won that match, but when Giorginho failed to score a penalty, as he did in their first meeting, I was very disappointed!
I'm looking forward to a similar game today between Bosnia and Finland! I don't see why Bosnia are favourites, in my opinion the Finns are just as good!
I was really disappointed to see Italy not winning the match. But I have to say that Italy had their chances they just could not convert dost chances to goals. Even though Italy had most of the possession it means nothing if you cannot win the game. And about Bosnia vs Finland, I also think that Finland is going to win. For me, they are just better than Bosnia. And Finland needs this win to get ahead of Ukraine. |

There is a really huge gap between Barcelona and the leader, Real Sociedad now which is a whopping 11-point gap. I think that Barcelona should have made their manager change long time before than this. First, Laporta said that they trusted Koeman and gave him a little more time. But Barcelona lost time and important points in that time period. All in all, Xavi can still start making things right for the team in the remaining games of the season. Maybe the real problem in the team wasn't the manager as they needed time to adapt to the revolution period. But it is still good to have a Barcelona legend in their managing position. They can still close the gap with even the leader. But if we think a little more realistically, I don't think that they have any chance for the title this season as long as they don't start winning all of their games magically. But they still can end at one of the top places surely.
I think Barcelona is really still feeling the impact that they had to face. Not financially stable even now. They lost most of their valuable players. And then they had to sack their coach. I honestly don't think they will finish any higher than fourth or fifth place even though Xavi is their new coach. Because even he needs a little time to settle with the team and the authority. So I don't expect too much from Barcelona this season at least. |

The finals would be interesting to watch, I am sure NZ will try to win this tournament but you cannot underestimate the Australian side. They can turn the match in their favour. I was in the assumption that the way Pakistan was playing they would have entered the finals. 176 was a competitive score put on by the Pakistani batsmen but bowlers failed to capitalize it.
One thing that I like about the Australian team is that they are very good in winning trophies. Check the number of times they have won the ODI world cup. On the other hand, New Zealand team won the WTC just a few months back and their morale would be high as well. Although others would disagree, I would say that Australia is having the advantage here. Their team looks more balanced, while New Zealand is still struggling due to the absence of Lockie Ferguson and Kyle Jamieson. Adam Milne looks like the chink in the armor. I would also say that Australia has The upper hand in this match. Australia has more power hitters and their bowling is also good. The bowlers seem to hit the Deck hard and also maintain their line and length very well. And the batsman of Australia can play really innovative shots under pressure which can disturb the opponent bowlers and captain mentally because then the opposing captain has to set the field for something unusual. Overall I think Australia I will win. |

Next game in 2 weeks the useless national team break is back again  yesterday I thought that Milan would be able to win over Inter and overtake Napoli but it looks like Milan is unlucky and missed this golden opportunity Even so, I still believe that Milan will be able to shift the position of Napoli because there is still a long way to go until this season ends I expected the same as you. As AC Milan look to win the Seria A title this season, their only goal is Serie A. They are not taking the matches in the Champions League seriously. On the other hand, Inter Milan wants to dominate both the Champions League and Serie A. If AC Milan had won yesterday's match, they would have gone a few steps further on the road to winning the title. |
