when the price was between $200-$300 then it was the right moment to buy. those who did are happy now. currently it's the perfect moment to hold.

it depends. i'm a trader, if i think the price reached the top, then i will sell if i am about to make a nice profit. at this point that's not the case. right now i am holding. but i will definitely sell if i think i can buy back lower.

my guess is that it might fall back (if that's going to happen) to around $430-$440. not much lower than that. definitely not below $400. that would be a great moment for people to buy.

Got a bad feeling that the pre-halving pump is already over done, after the halving the value would drop back to the pre-pump level.
if you think that it is over, then sell your coins and buy back later  i think the pump has not even started yet. the price goes up, yes. but the real bull run or rally will come 1 or 2 months before the halving. |

nothing new. day after day the exchanges huobi and okcoin have mega loads of volumes. even on calm days. it's more than obvious that these exchanges fake their volume by probably 10 times.

i can understand that people get fascinated by bitcoin, but i don't understand how some one can let his personal life suffer due to a far going interest in bitcoin. bitcoin is a more than welcome new technology. people should enjoy it and don't let it take over their life in a negative way.

i also would love to see amazon accept bitcoin payments at some point in the future. but i am sure there is a reason why they haven't already. it could be the lack of people who are actually spending their coins, or the blocksize.

Sure it is a good investment.
Just make sure to don't panic buy. As stated by others the price is actually very high now, I would buy around the 380 area. Not above this price.
Just 1 panic dumping and you can lose a lot of your money.
as long as people don't sell their coins, they don't lose anything. if they see the price go down significantly, and then they sell. yes, then they are indeed making a loss. |

if what you meant is, is everyone expecting Bitcoin to skyrocket and get rich from it?, well, then I would say that there are people that not, like me.
it's a normal question. he isn't talking about if we think the value will sky rocket. if you have read the op a bit better, then you would have known. he is asking us if bitcoin as currency is worth more to us than the fiat we are using every day. |

bitcoin price just broke 460$ so we still have 5 days to make this speculation coming true, i believe we will see 500$ soon
we have 12days left before december end not sure we can reach $500 again in this year, but in 2016 im sure we can erach $500 in Quartal 1 2016 we can reach $500 then Q2 we reach $600 then Q3 reach $1000   i think there will be a decent pump from china comming next week. i hope it's enough to make the price reach $500. we'll see. if it doesn't go much higher than current price, then we'll see the price go up in january. |

I think it will reach more than $ 500 since bitcoin value's trend is increasing and also christmast eve so many people spend more on bitcoin I feel like it will go way over 500$ again, soon.

Yeah people are saying that it goes to 500 dollars, but for now I don't think that it can. If the price now is not going up to more than 470 dollars. We will see what will happen with bitcoin. we are not far away from $470. i think we'll see the price break through $470 and $480 next week. i just hope there won't be a dump bringing the price back to $450 range. |

Gold has a bigger interest because is material ,and all people loove to have it ,being a ring or other thing,bitcoin is just virtual soo people dont see it the same way as gold,even both becoming to be ending.
i do have to agree with you that a lot people don't think bitcoin is worth it since you can not hold it as physical item. here in the netherlands the media writes off bitcoin as being hot air. they say yes, you have 1 bitcoin in your computer, but you can't have it in your hand, so it's basically worthless according to them. it's purely ignorance. the money that they have in their bank account when checking their balance via internet is also virtual. only.... they didn't mention that  |

my guess is 100 to 500 bitcoins from the options you let us choose from. 100 bitcoins may take longer than 5 years to make you a fiat millionaire, but i do think that at least 300 bitcoins will be enough to make you millionaire.

what you say doesn't make much sense. there is no better time to buy bitcoin than now. the closer we are comming to the block halving, the higher the price will be. you are much better off buying your coins this year. |

50 should be just enough. If we reach 10k, you own half a million in bitcoin.. WOW. If your intial investment was
50 * 450 = 22.500.- you can be very happy.
my guess is also 50 bitcoins. if bitcoin really takes off in the future, then $10,000 is still a fairly low amount. especially when wall street is entering the bitcoin market and start buying up a huge load of coins. |

cryptsy could also be hacked and lost a lot of their coins due to that. that might be a reason for them to halt withdrawals. or it could be the owner that is stealing the coins from people by not letting them cash out. this is pure speculation. they might also operate in a normal manner after a while. it's too early to compare cryptsy to mtgox or mintpal.

I reckon the price will rise all the way to the halving and then fall within days after as all the sheepeople relize the world never ended, thats when i will be buying like a motherfooker  what makes you think the price will fall after the block halving? maybe because you think that the price will be driven to higher than reasonable price levels due to the speculation? |

at this point stocks and bitcoin are two different worlds. don't think when stocks go down that bitcoin goes up. it may have happened a few times. but that's just coincidence. bitcoin is going up and up due to the block halving. and it will continue to go up till far in next year.

my guess is that the price will either be $20 higher or lower than $500 at december 31. i think that's a more than reasonable price to end this year with. that means we have gained over 100% value in less than a year. not bad |
