1301  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: April 30, 2016, 02:48:03 PM
Selling now will be not the best thing that you can do with Bitcoin because the value is not even that high so you wont also get much money for it.
So it would be also better if you are waiting a longer time so you can maybe earn more money with it later.

for traders it's different. traders buy and sell constantly making profits. but when it comes to people just buying to hold it for a longer period of time, for them it's indeed better to hold if they don't need the money any time soon.
1302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Increase Incoming. on: April 29, 2016, 01:40:48 PM
There is coming a price increase but its the question when it will happen the price right now already raised to the 450 but when the next rise is coming is not to predict.
I hope it will be fast so I can make some nice and easy bucks on it.

i am quite sure that there will be a more than decent pump before the block halving. it will only not be sustainable to have the price stay at that level as people will use it to secure profits.
1303  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: April 29, 2016, 01:36:57 PM
I do not agree, regardless of the price of bitcoin, even if it reaches $1m that there will be no effect on fiat. because fiat is money that is legal, while bitcoin only virtual currency.

Fiat being legal has nothing to do with it, Since bitcoin isn't illegal.  but i do agree with you that bitcoin will not be replacing fiat, i hardly doubt anything can replace fiat to be honest.I
It's too important in our daily life.

it is clear, no one will be able to replace fiat, because each country has patented their currencies. but bitcoin could be an alternative. if in the future, bitcoin already be used as legal payment.

Paper money for a long time are not effective .. It's only a matter of time until they are replaced entirely by plastic cards and Bitcoin.

I'm also thinking its a matter of time but it will take some time for sure, and I even think it will take a long time to achieve this to be honest.
Most likely this will happen in about 10 years or something.

i would say it will take at least another 20 to 30 years before the usage of cash money gets to such a low level where it will get replaced eventually.
1304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price falling?? on: April 29, 2016, 11:11:25 AM
Price rise and fall is part of the nature of bitcoin. It is mainly due to speculation. The new price range is $440 to $70 now.

That's true, bitcoin's price is volatile...It moves from time to time..So we should live with it...IMO speculation and news about bitcoin could really affect the price, but not that much except if the news is being sensationalized...

i don't mind the volatility at all. it allows me as trader to make more than decent gains in quite a short time. and i'm sure other traders are in the same boat as me. there is nothing wrong with it.
1305  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: April 29, 2016, 11:07:27 AM
I buy bitcoins once a month if the price is okay because I do not have a lot of money to spent so only if I can afford it I'm buying bitcoins.
Right now its still possible but if the bitcoin has hit the 500 dollar I will most likely not buy any bitcoins anymore.

at some point you have enough coins and then you can just sit back and enjoy seeing the value of your coins go up. i am doing the same right now. the only reason i buy currently is because i am a trader. this allows me to generate some extra coins while i am holding my other coins safely in offline storage.
1306  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin = $1,000,000 on: April 29, 2016, 10:45:11 AM
I do not see this happen, the price is so impossible and highly unrealistic, I think this price is just insane, whoever came up with this, believe in dreams.
Well I can surely can say that this dream is not gonna happen by far.
Yes, it is possible only in our dreams and is not possible in the real life, in real life we will see the price only at the four digits and beyond this I don’t think that the price will ever reach so easily but will require hard struggle and a long time.

A four digit value is more than enough for a currency right now. In the future sure it will grow than our predictions, if huge adoption occurs. Beyond which the value becomes stable.

Who said that Bitcoin is just a currency?
It's not! It's way more than that.It can be whatever you want it to be.Currency, store of value, investment, commodity, precious unit, payment system record keeping system, a protocol where many other servies and apps can be build on top of it etc.
If Bitcoin should reach 6 digits we will just use smaller units, simple is that.
Or is gold measured in ton or kg? No we use ounces, half an ounce or quarter of an ounce.

bitcoin is very divers in the way it can be used, that's correct. basically, for every person bitcoin can be of great value when they are open to adopt it. the will must be there as we can't force them to use something like governments do. bitcoin is freedom and thus people are free to choose what they want to use. i am fairly sure that people will realize this at some point in the future.
1307  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: April 29, 2016, 10:33:23 AM
-snip-
Without doubt the price goes higher and might reach $500 by the falling weekend. As the price rise is taking place regularly even holding for weeks will get you big profit.
No, holds for a week is not a good suggestion, we have to suggest the holders to hold their bitcoins for longer at least for an year to earn good profit as in the case of week sometime a week comes to occur where we do not see any rise in value.
Selling now around this time will be not the best thing that you can do because the value isnt high enough to have some profit with Bitcoin so you have to wait.
And that would be nice if you can sell it with profit in the end of the year if the price is rising.

of course it's better for people to hold on to their coins for a longer period, but if they for example have bought their coins below $300 in 2015, then selling them at todays prices isn't that bad at all. traders are in the game to make profit. and you only made profit as soon as you have sold.
1308  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: April 29, 2016, 10:28:46 AM
I think so because halving is coming in. Also the price didn't drop in less than $400 in the past few months and thats a good sign I think.

the $400 price level is now as good as safe, but some bad news popping up can bring the price very close to that level again. and with enough panic going through the market, it can go below $400 for a short while. as long as that doesn't happen, we don't have to worry about seeing sub $400 prices (for now). but i'm prepared for any surprises.
1309  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN?? on: April 29, 2016, 10:24:14 AM
just like i would explain bitcoin to any other person. maybe because she's a girl i will use easy to understand language and terms so she can understand everything clearly.
1310  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: April 28, 2016, 11:19:30 AM
i usually spend some of my bitcoin, but in this moment i'm waiting for a big pump, so i'm hodling because i think that the proce it's still to low to dump my bitcoins

Maybe it is better that people start to spend their bitcoins now since bitcoin price started to decrease!

there is no point in spending coins if people don't need to buy anything. beside that, lower price is not motivating people to spend, a high price does.

Price dips just means one thing.. and that is go buy some more. Good thing there still a price dip. With the current hype many people thinks that it will now go forward. So now take this chance to buy more as we don't know if there still a price dip month before halving.

i have bought enough coins last year so for me the need to buy more isn't there unless the price dips below $400 which i don't think will happen. i can simply sit back and enjoy watching the price go up. but yes, you're right. people should start buying directly if the price goes down.
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin go to $500 on: April 28, 2016, 11:14:29 AM
Bitcoin will reach that value only in the end of the year if the value is going to rise and not reduce than it would be nice for us but you never know from before and that is the problem.
So you have to take also some risks if you are going to buy or sell it.

i believe we will hit $500 before the block halving as people will do everything to buy themselves some coins to benefit from the pre-block halving pump. that alone will be enough to get the price to $500.
1312  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would be the price? on: April 28, 2016, 11:00:23 AM
If all people use bitcoin , bitcoin value will got increase since demand also got increase as bitcoin total amount only have limited amount.
Ofcourse this will happen on the future since many company start using bitcoin for their transaction

what companies are using bitcoin to do their transactions? as far as i know the majority of the merchants use a payment service as bitpay to handle every bitcoin transaction. they don't do it themselves.
1313  Economy / Speculation / Re: We've made 'a typical bitcoin' on: April 28, 2016, 10:58:00 AM
Weeks of slow hard gaining undone in a few hours by the whales holding 99.99999% of all bitcoin and controlling the network

you don't take much effort to make yourself very believable. but that doesn't really matter anymore since no one is taking you serious anymore.
1314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a bear trap or pump is over? on: April 28, 2016, 10:13:45 AM
at this point it's unclear whether it is a bear trap or not, but the dump was bound to happen. i was just waiting for it, and it happened as it happened many times before already. there is no difference as the market is in state of repeating. i was lucky to sell some coins at $462 and bought back at $440 in the nightly hours. easy profit.
1315  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: April 28, 2016, 10:08:13 AM
the price at the time this thread is created was around $245 and till now people advice others to buy and hold. you should have done that when the price was below $250 back then. right now is just an okay moment to buy for medium term holders. and good for long term holders. but people always tend to wait too long with buying, and it shows. if you bought when this thread is created you would have around $200 profit per coin right now!
1316  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: April 28, 2016, 10:02:38 AM
It really can't cause bitcoin is so new currency and people still can't understand how good it is. Maybe in future we will see bitcoin as fiat but near 5 years no, it's for sure.
even when bitcoin aged 30 years or more I do not believe bitcoin will replace fiat. fiat will not be replaced by anything
users prefer that bitcoin as a currency option

exactly. and when bitcoin does get to replace fiat money in a certain country (which will never happen) then governments will force you to abide their rules. each btc wallet will be connected to the governments system to know who and what person owns which amount. there will be no freedom in using it as optional currency as we have now. best is for bitcoin to stay an alternative currency.

1318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull trend: better to hold or trade? on: April 27, 2016, 03:31:12 PM
trading is a good way to increase your coins while holding is the safest option where you will only see the $ value increase. i am doing both. where i can i trade to generate some coins, and the other part of my coins keeps sitting in my cold wallet for holding purposes.
1319  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: April 27, 2016, 03:13:37 PM
I can double that in trading. This is the sAfest that i know. Just buy altcoin in the low price and sell it at high price thats the safest but if you want tk know other ways.. This is mining just invest and need to wait thats it

investing in altcoins isn't safe at all. investing in altcoins even gets branded as being the same as gambling. there is simply too much risk involved when you put that much money into altcoins. mining is not profitable anymore unless you are investing huge loads of money into building your own mining farm. other than that you will most likely never roi if you go into the mining scene.
1320  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm dumping my bitcoins so you should on: April 27, 2016, 03:08:46 PM
If many people in this forum think we should dump the bitcoin, it is a good time to buy the bitcoin instead.
thats actually what i look for lol. evertime theres hype about dumping coins and such, i load money into my coinbase wallet so i can buy bitcoin if the price drops. im pretty sure that the people who start these rumors also have the same intentions.

it's actually very simple. there is a saying; sell when people are buying, and buy when people are selling. that's the way to go for me since i started with trading. at this point im not buying anymore as i have bought the majority of my coins well below $350 but if the price takes a dive to sub $400 prices, then i will start with buying again.
