2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: August 19, 2021, 03:52:50 PM
You can stake your bitcoins at freebitco.in.

Any amount bigger than 30k sats gets paid daily from the annual rate of %4

How about sats below $30k will it be  annually it sounds pretty cool. I thinks it's a nice offer but owning $30k sat and staking it means the investor must have gathered enough fortune that's a whole lot of fund to risk down but 4% daily might tempt some one into borrowing just to stake and get this ROI daily
2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / What lie did you tell? on: August 17, 2021, 04:16:54 PM
While I was growing up I used money meant for purchasing foodstuffs to gamble , I can recall in one of those occasions while on my way to the market i met some group of guys who were into local match box gambling. This was my first time of been exposed to gambling. This boxes were filled with groundnuts on one end and sand on the other end. This match boxes would be shuffled then the gambler will be asked to pick the box with groundnuts inside and if such gets lucky enough he wins by doubling his stake but if he losses his fiat is gone.

On that faithful day I got attracted by the crowd and I felt it was too easy to play after watching the board man shuffle series of games I was able to spot the match box without staking and at that point it appeared too simple. I had to stake $4 for a start and I won $8 I was so amazed at how easy this game was and I had to stake the entire Fiats currency in my pockets which was about $45 and ended up losing everything. I became confused all I could figure out is the lies I will tell my parents on how armmed rubbers met on my way and took away the fiat meant to buy foodstuffs. I got the beating equivalent to the fiat I lost  but I tried my best to convince my parents I wasn't lieing.
2283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many consecutive looses can you handle in trading? on: August 17, 2021, 08:14:01 AM
It is popular opinion sometimes that a trading strategy might no longer be effective if one begins to loose money while trading instead of gaining.

An important question i ask myself whenever i hear about people complaining or simply discussing a series of consecutive looses they have made while trading using a certain strategy is;

HOW MANY CONSECUTIVE LOOSES IN TRADING CAN YOU HANDLE BEFORE YOU ACCEPT THAT YOUR CURRENT TRADING STRATEGY IS BECOMING LESS EFFECTIVE?

Most times the issue is not with the strategy but with the analyst. There is this excessive confidence that comes with trading for longer time and this is where lots of traders get stucked. A trader might have a sweet strategy but patience to get a confluence before taking a trader becomes the issue and end up getting stucked which result in losses.

For me once I have three consecutive losses at a stretch I suspend trading for one week go back to review my trades , take up new trading courses, correct my mistakes then bounce back to the market
2284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 17, 2021, 08:03:27 AM
I would expect gamblers to be more willing to gamble with their coins when the bitcoin price is low. Sure when the price higher we can also make more money with gambling, but we are always at risk to lose out on another price increase.

Didn't seeing it that way as whatever the price, gamblers are gamblers. The betting style is just the same especially for those who are relying on USD value like in other gambling sites where you can base your bet on USD value but with the use of your current crypto.

We are in bullish and bearish many times and gambling activity just grows. It means even in a bullish trend, people won't stop doing gambling.
I think the price of any coin shouldn't affect the gambler from making his decision, what I will suggest instead is staking what you can afford to lose. Going by the price some gamblers can afford to stake 1btc and feel very comfortable about it even if the lose the coin but others who can't even afford 0.0000032btc going to stake above their capability will only invite unnecessary emotional trauma. Maintaining your limit remains the best
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 17, 2021, 07:55:16 AM
I would like to share the below. Today I received a clip on my Whatsapp. A boy was just moving his fingers around thinking he was holding a mobile and playing a game on it.  But he did not have any mobile device on his hand. He lost himself. His parents were just calling him by his name touching him. He was just seeing his hands as though he was holding a mobile in his hand playing. Really feel bad to see it. Children are easily got up on online games and gambling or what so ever.
Children get addicted to things so easily most especially mobile /video games and it's the duty of parents to help this young ones because  despite the education the receive and how intelligent they may appearance the still lack the full experience to operate in this digital era and if parents keep a busy schedule without having time to guide and advice their wards on how to adapt to the society without endangering their future the will go about feeling the are actually living the life the way it ought to be lived.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: August 17, 2021, 07:50:04 AM
If you have a lot of money like $20,000 do not gamble it is a bad combination. If you do not have a lot of money then do not gamble. Only gamble what you can afford to lose is a common saying but I would say only gamble a % of what you can afford to lose to stop you from losing all that money.

Unfortunately for a man who gambles excessively there is no small or big amount, he'll take it and promise himself that he will double it, this is the reason why those who are addict to gambling are taking loans and selling all his stuff because he believes he can get back all his losses he thinks that his winning days will come back and recover all his losses, this is a blind belief and many gamblers have it.
This high risk gambling can actually go any length to satisfy their quest and they easily feel attacked if you try preaching excessively about gambling addiction. But how long will we continue to lose our people to the cold hands of gambling addiction? I wonder most times if there was a permanent solution to this so our gambling will just remain as a fun quest and not a die-hard get rich quick adventure that has silenced the existence of so many.
2287  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is the new gold standard of the future on: August 17, 2021, 07:32:21 AM
Bitcoin is a real opportunity to rebuild a fully decentralized financial system based on true trust. It is the gold standard in the crypto world and the foundation that allows computers to connect and communicate.
I'm always not comfortable comparing Bitcoin to gold because despite the fact that gold is a valued asset it's still not secure. Bitcoin despite it's open source it's data integrity is highly maintained and can't be manipulated by greedy investors. Both gold and Bitcoin maintain their respective indentity.
Quote
As more and more people begin to use cryptocurrency, the support of institutions and governments should be of great help in accelerating the adoption of cryptocurrencies in mainstream sectors, and this feat is expected to enhance its value.
The unique attributes of Bitcoin enable it to surpass modern and ancient currency at the margin and provide a powerful impetus for its growing popularity. In particular, the effective combination of censorship resistance and absolute scarcity has always been a powerful driving force for wealthy investors to allocate part of their wealth to new asset classes.
Bitcoin uniqueness has surpassed mordern and ancient currency civilization but the aspect of it's resistance to censorship happen to be the main reason most government authority will keep fighting against the adoption of crypto currency most especially Bitcoin because bitcoin is posing a big treat on their ability to centralize the general transactions and database of it's citizens
2288  Economy / Economics / Re: What’s the nature of currency? on: August 17, 2021, 07:12:16 AM
Over the years the fiat currency experienced lots of drawbacks and the primary setback is the issue of trust and security of database. And the blockchain industry with the innovation of bitcoin has helped in tackling this issue. The consensus found in fiat currency has been altered severally to suit the personal interest of it's major stakeholders but the interesting thing is bitcoin can't be altered due to it's highly level of how it operates anonymously.

This consensus alogrithim which the blockchain technology shares will some day call for global adoption although some countries has it as a legal tender while some are still fighting against it but I'm sure at the later end it will be globally accepted
2289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be more effective in the future on: August 17, 2021, 06:59:22 AM
Right now in some of the countries Bitcoin is been banned or restricted, when I think of it I do not blame the government why Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies is been restricted because they do not know the value or importance of Bitcoin.
You can't say the government in some countries banned bitcoin because they don't know the importance. It's the fear of losing out on the control of it's Citizens financial transactions as well as the fear of increase in cyber crime due to the anonymous nature of bitcoin. But I hope that since Bitcoin is secure and transparent it will be accepted in the near future even if not completely but it will be able to solve some critical societal issues.
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 15, 2021, 08:34:53 AM
The problem is not the children, even if parents were to be strict to keep an eye on their kids they will always find ways to do it behind their parents.
Even at that if they parents of this kids where their friends and got involved in the full day-to-day activities of this kids it would help reduce some level of risky adventure this children engage in. Sometimes parents believe their children knows what the ought to do forgetting that even as adults we make mistakes how much more the children. This children needs parents who could be a part of their life sticking more closer than a best friend this way their parents will know the activities of their child and help guide them.
2291  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible for a football club to move from one football league to another on: August 15, 2021, 08:19:06 AM
Even if this is true how would they move their stadium and it's facilities. If they story was real Madrid plans on opening a new club in the English premier league it would sound a bit understandable since it would mean the plan on having a new club in England and the real Madrid in Spain and this also will mean building new facilities like stadiums and lots more.
2292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are other cryptocurrencies not like Bitcoin? on: August 14, 2021, 08:58:48 PM
It's a very broad topic we are actually diving into nknowing why some alt coin aren't making as much profit just as bitcoin. First I will state that bitcoin having maintained a consensus alogrithim for years gain excess trust from it's investors. You should note that the price of Bitcoin is determined by the highest bidder or the highest investor and as such it's market capitalization is influenced by investors this is a clear indication that since more investors prefers Bitcoin it's constantly making new highs compared to other coins
2293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 14, 2021, 08:52:16 PM
I totally agree with people with disabilities on this. If we thought that betting and predictions were unethical, we might as well think that the whole competition is unethical. But it’s not. They have the same rights as healthy athletes to participate in the Olympic Games, and it would be, in fact, unethical to treat them in other way by not allowing the betting. I can totally see how that could be considered as discrimination.
I believe this disabled athletes welcomes the idea of placing a bet on them and since they are comfortable with it then it's fully ethical. Just as you pointed out here:

Which is totally true if we condemn placing a bet on their paralympic game then we should also consider the game itself unethical as well but since the reverse is the case then it's fully ethical
2294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding how the market tricks you and how to prepare against such tricks. on: August 14, 2021, 07:06:47 PM
securing your profit needs to come in handy. Crypto market moves in both corrective and retracement moves and to avoid been trapped by either of the moves its always necessary to lock up some profit you can still classify it as paying yourself from the profit made which will help you when a need arises so you don't sell your coin during the dip out of fear of further decline or due to urgent needs. "ALWAYS TAKE PROFIT" this should be a watch word for all crypto investor
2295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: stock between a Trade. on: August 14, 2021, 06:54:54 PM
converting them to USDT is the most preferred option so you can clearly decide how much you are willing to loose to the market incase you decide to invest in another token so you can luck up some profit. crypto investments is very volatile but if you just choose to luck the full token then convert them to Usdt which is a stable coin that doesn't fluctuate in price that is having a fixed price.

2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anything make you stop gambling on: August 14, 2021, 06:38:10 PM
I have being gambling for quite a while now and  I don't think I'm addicted to it but nothing can make me stop gambling. Gambling is like a joy to me,
Stick to what gives you joy, in our today's society its really not easy getting joy especially in a society where citizens only strive to survive. i hope on the long run you don't get addicted or get trapped in the gambling cycle. no one plans on been addicted to gambling. most times its starts with been so passionate about it or deriving excess joy from it just ensure you always cross examine your emotions
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Development Team on: August 13, 2021, 06:37:49 AM
Bitcoin is an open source software and as such any body can contribute to the system. If you are a developer you too can contribute to Bitcoin existence but having a list of bitcoin developers is something you might never get because it's rather better been anonymous to avoid altering it's decentralized nature.
2299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there indicator Measures of how much stop lose orders did hit? on: August 13, 2021, 06:28:43 AM
The essence of stop loss is to keep you out from a losing trade to avoid blowing down your account or  losing more than you can afford. There are no indicators what so ever to check how much others did hit. Before you risk your coin you should first decide how much profit you intend making and how much you are willing to lose in the process as well because that's the secret to trading generally so you keep your account intact.
2300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: not paying? You should unlearn then relearn on: August 13, 2021, 06:19:24 AM
"Unlearn and relearn" seems pretty simple/easy to say, but in reality its actually difficult to start learning what you have already learnt in the past, during green days you don't actually have to know much about trading to make profit, cause literally every coin on the market is pumping by then, so you just have to buy and take profit when the coins pumps, during the bearish season that's when you will see the real traders who still earn from trading, but sorry to ask how can someone unlearn what he/she has already learnt? There's nothing to relearn except he/she didn't pay attention and learn it well the first time.
It's really not easy to unlearn a process one has held on to for long but with the hunger to make profit and strong determination for a clean trade it can be achieved. Trading is strictly for diciplined persons diciplined in the sense that some knowledge that gave profit in the past might be due to consistent bullish trend and once the trade starts retracement and correction you find out it was just a lucky adventure the trader engaged into. Learning is constant for traders
