2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin to look out for 2021 on: August 17, 2021, 11:08:14 PM

...

Don't get your hopes up on an altcoin like BCMC because this altcoin doesn't have too many fans, it's just a slight development that doesn't have a big appeal. It's very difficult for this altcoin to grow rapidly because its marketing isn't very good. indeed able to last for a long time, the top altcoins should be the choice for everyone who wants to invest.
If we after some safety assurance of our funds, it was best to choose the leading altcoins, not the new ones unless if it shows a promising development. But this BCMC has nothing show like that, the development is so slow, and even nothing to see. Honestly, we are not just taking a huge risk investing in this project but most likely we helping ourselves to lose then.
OP must have to think it twice and have to analyze the project first before making a decision to buy so there are no regrets that happen after.
2282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: August 17, 2021, 10:44:31 PM
Investors who do not understand anything, do not have an advance idea about the marketThey face losses and experienced investors do not.
There are also those investors that know little yet still invests wisely with the market. They may face some adjustments at the beginning but it's part of the learning process as they get to know more about the investment that they're getting in.
But to those investors that don't have any idea and don't have plans to grow with their experience in the market and just throws money as if it's going to grow like a tree, they're the most frustrated investors.
And with that losing experience, it helps them either to be wiser and smarter in making a decision. Because no one had ever been perfect, losing means that there is something wrong that you have done and from that, you could also gain some idea and never let it happen again.
We can't learn everything if we don't try and that is why we often experience losses as that is a part of the learning process. Nobody wants this but certainly, we can't avoid such a scenario especially for beginners.
2283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: August 17, 2021, 08:51:51 PM
An interesting article, thank you, it's a pity that there is no information on the profitability of this business or, roughly speaking, about the total turnover of money. In fact, the figure of 44 billion looks suspicious to me, while individual firms began to exceed a trillion dollars in capitalization, the whole industry here generates only a few tens of billions of profits?  Undecided

For businesses to be more profitable, they will not declare everything their earn, the data is only based on the amount declared but in reality, they are making more than they declared. However, it's just speculation in our mind since we have no evidence, but as a mature person who is in business as well, I know how accountant does to make the business minimize the tax responsibility, and that is by reducing income and increasing expenses per record.

Hmmm ... to be honest, I can't seriously take the idea that in a country with very tough tax laws, where you can easily be jailed for tax evasion, someone does something like that. I think the discussed figures are very close to reality, even if there are some inaccuracies. Of course, there is always a black market, but we are talking about legal business, so we can ignore it.

That's happening mostly in countries where regulators are corrupt, the company does not pay the right taxes and when they are audited and found out the tax deficiencies, they will just settle with the auditors and pay them to settle the problem between them, so the government will not make the right revenue here because it goes to the pockets of the corrupt tax regulators.
Common things that do happen specially into known corrupt countries where these settlements do really happen once those establishments didnt really pay up tax well. You could really expect that there would be some

arrangements that would happen behind the curtains and would ending up that those money would really just go into the pockets of those corrupt officials.

Therefore even if how big the tax for casinos, it is still up to the implementors because if they don't implement it properly, the government would still not be able to achieve their target as these officials will only become richer from stealing the money of the people.

Is this something new? No its been a normal scenario that could happen from time to time and lets embrace this sad reality.
No in our country, lol.
2284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 17, 2021, 08:27:37 PM
New update regarding the return of the PBA.

PBA teams finalize hotel bookings, await go-signal from Pampanga gov

Quote
THE PBA is waiting for teams to finalize accommodation arrangements before resuming the 2021 Philippine Cup, most likely in Pampanga.

PBA deputy commissioner Eric Castro said they will coordinate with Pampanga governor Dennis Pineda the planned semi-bubble tournament once the accommodations of the 12 teams have been finalized.

“As of now, we are waiting for teams to complete their certificates of acceptance from hotels/accommodations where they will stay. Then, will submit [these] to the office of Gov. Pineda,” said Castro.

Good update, this only means that we will soon see our beloved league in the Philippines, and they might make their time frame of return this month.

With Governor Pineda as an avid fan of basketball, i'm sure that he is also excited that the PBA will be held in his province and will give the nod to PBA to start, adhering to IAFT protocol of course.

The news that the teams will shoulder their own expenses shock me a bit because i never thought that the PBA will be out of budget since majority of the teams in the league are rich  Smiley.

I'm just hoping that covid cases in Pampanga won't rise and the province reverted to ECQ status just like in the NCR because in our place the covid cases is rising even though we are in MECQ.

Surprising indeed, but it's okay since those players contracts are still huge and they are capable of paying everything,

The league will proceed just a matter of time before the final announcement in resuming all the pending games, glad that Gov. Pineda allows this
sport to facilitate even it's in a semi bubble set up, better than nothing I guess.

Lets hope that covid cases will not increase to this province to make sure that the season will be finished without any interruption anymore.

No matter how rich the teams' owners are, they still need to follow the budget at that is business and they can't operate the business in a losing manner. The fact that they still resume the PBA, that means their income is still bigger than the expenses, and that means they are surviving as a business.
2285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what are you investment strategy on: August 16, 2021, 11:04:53 PM
For me, I use to analyze the market trend first, check the price chart to see if there is an opportunity like if I can buy at a cheaper price or not. I'd never use all trading tools as mentioned by many, it was just confusing to me, what is in my mind to buy at a low price and then sell at a high price. That is why I spend more time on the chart reading and that seems it works for me, though.
2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a new blockchain that will compete with Ethereum? on: August 15, 2021, 10:28:57 PM
We all know about huge transaction fees, not the most convenient scaling and the difficulties of entering the ecosystem. Are there projects that will provide people with the best conditions for the implementation of their ideas in the cryptoworld?
In my mind for now only BSC, but i think some project use MATIC network too to their project. Maybe that networks can be alternate if ETH fees can be problem, but i heard ETH last hardfork can made it only need less money to be fees, maybe because there are a lot of coins that they think will replace them and developer leaving them.
It was just BSC platform had made closer to ETH and giving the solution for the high fees that we face in Ethereum. Now that BSC is leading to competing stronger against ETH and even surpasses its number of transactions daily, I could believe that ETH might fall down if they don't get attention and find a way to solve the fees issue. Because these days, most of the new projects are using the BSC platform already, this could be a sort of warning that Mr. Vitalik needs to address.
2287  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: August 13, 2021, 02:25:19 PM
It's not like everyone is given an equal opportunity, people who think like this are privileged and is out of touch on what it's like to be poor, remember that the price of goods and services are increasing and it's not like the salary of poor and middle class workers go up so it seems that they will probably stay that way until a reform happens.
It was being said that poor people become poorer while rich people become richer. The mentality of the people matters in their status of life, like if your rich will simply think that you have to use your money to be richer, while the lower class will be just satisfied with what they've got today and never make a dream to become rich.
It is really hard to reverse the situation but if we wanted to have a change, it must be started by ourselves and with some kind of determination.
On the contrary I don't think poor people are contented with the situation of their finances. They just don't know how to get out of the maze, they work four jobs and still have little or nothing to show for it. Being poor ultimately means a poor education. There aren't many opportunities out there
I was not in general but most of them have no plan at all. Actually, some just did to escape from staying in the lower class of the society but those numbers left are pretty much bigger than those who are able to change.
But if you are talking about opportunities, there are more opportunities for rich people. That makes poor people become hopeless and just be contented with what they've got.
2288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions should never be traded. on: August 13, 2021, 01:23:19 PM
I agree with you. emotions should not be poured when you are trading this is a big mistake, you can make the wrong decisions and not focus. You need to be able to control your emotions in order to be able to analyze the market well. Don't be easily provoked by emotions when the market rises sharply or vice versa. before you buy or sell coins you really have to understand and analyze the possibilities that will happen. if you have already bought coins at a high price and the market suddenly drops, you can choose to hold temporarily instead of having to sell coins at a low price.
it was too easy to tell but honestly, it was too hard in real life. That is why only a few people have become successful while numbers of traders just fail. I know that nobody wants such a thing but because we are human beings, surely we can still felt it no matter what we say we have to stop. Maybe this is one reason why some traders are using trading bots aside from having no time on the computer but will likely to help from being emotionally stress.
2289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple still standing on: August 13, 2021, 12:49:40 PM
So why is no one talking about ripple anymore? On this thread weeks back there are many posts about ripple going to its death bed soon because of SEC lawsuits and now everything is just silent, you guys have accepted your defeat or what? Cos ripple is now a winner
I can't remember if there is an argument if Ripple becomes dead or not. What I've heard is just only pure speculation which is relatively not sure of anything. Too good to see that XRP (Ripple) stood still strong despite the lawsuit issue but never say they are already in the win, unless if their case has been dismissed already. For now, I'm seeing strong support for it but never in my mind to invest this project for a long-term deal, I'm still choosing BTC and BNB, instead.
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 13, 2021, 12:07:29 PM
I think it will not be available on the betting sites if it's not ethical. Why is it a big deal, the question seems to be treating them as special people where they should not be level to the normal athletes. I have not bet in this kind of game but I believe they should be not be treated differently, whether in betting or any other thing.
2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 13, 2021, 11:53:17 AM
Leonard is staying with the LA Clippers.

NBA free agency 2021: Kawhi Leonard agrees to four-year, $176.3 million contract with Clippers

With this news, I still consider the LA Clippers to be one of the favorites to win the NBA Championship next season.
I think they just need to manage the minutes of Leonard like what Raptors did when during his time there, the "load management" is very helpful.

Good news indeed for the Clippers fans, they almost made in last playoff if not for Leonard getting injured in a crucial time.

Hopefully he can recovered first, get 100% healed and then come back strong next season with PG13. I think they did load management for him last season, but unfortunately, we really can't predict what will happen to the players because they play hard every game.

Paul George is more matured now, so the Clippers are getting stronger every season. The next stop will be the NBA Finals, and although the West especially the Lakers are full of talents, I think the Clippers still have a huge chance though. All we wish as a fan is just to see that our favorite players re healthy so the playoffs will be exciting to watch, last playoffs it's not that much.
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 13, 2021, 06:53:26 AM

My bad, I should take that early odd which gave Casimero 1.44 than what it is now.

Just a 3% drop, still worth it if you really believe that Casimero would win this fight.

Still on stake, and nothing on Sportsbet yet.
https://stake.com/sports/boxing/international/international-matchups/42107120-casimero-johnriel-rigondeux-guillermo

No handicap betting yet, it might be available tomorrow since the fight is already in 2 days from now.

Waiting for the handicap betting as well, as I have said, ML is not that attractive and it the odds keeps on dropping, then surely not a good way to bet.

Speaking of handicap betting, what rounds you guys think that the fight will end? 8-9-10 for a Casimero win or 10-11-12 for a knock out?

I think it will be 4-5-6.  Smiley... I'm thinking of almost the same scenario against Tete where he knocks him out in round 3, I will give Rigo 3 more rounds though. Anyway, I don't really count it, it's just for fun as I don't underestimate Rigo, but if he will get caught by a clean punch, we know what will happen to him.

The odds that you are looking for are already available.

Here's a complete odds of the fight. https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/casimero-johnriel-rigondeux-guillermo-611363bce37fe37930dcf191

I'm thinking of betting on Rigondeaux to win by KO, that x11 currently, isn't it attractive?
2293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 13, 2021, 06:29:48 AM
Meanwhile, JMF is now grieving the death of his mother, probably we will not see him return soon.

As part of the country's protocol, the funeral should just take up to 2-3 days.

He can still be with the team when the league returns on 21st. And I think he will be more motivated to play rather than to sit in the corner. He is super close to his mother so he won't show any signs of just sitting in the corner and mourns as for sure, his mother won't like that.

Back in the league, PBA teams told to prepare for possible bubble anew. I wonder why they used the word "possible" meaning there is no 100% plan for now? Anyways, reading the article, there's no mentioned date unlike in the previous news that the return will be on August 21st.

I hope Fajardo will not be affected a loss from the loss of his mother, and you are right, hopefully, he will use it as his inspiration to play harder and get back to his MVP shape the soonest possible time. With this delay, it's again very helping the teams with players that are suffering from injury, it was previously reported it will be back this month but now the status is postponed, so we can expect next month I think.
2294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $48k the next Bitcoin benchmark? on: August 12, 2021, 10:48:05 PM
The general cryptocurrency market has been exciting, with Bitcoin gaining an all-time high of $46k since may 2021 in April Bitcoin made an all-time high of above $65k before correcting down to below $30k in mid-April.
Will $48k Bitcoin price be achievable this week?

We're not yet at the nearest ultimate high which has been recorded as greatest pump ever, but that gaining of $46k after huge fall was a huge capabilities that will soon initiate a massive demand. Many people said that panic buying was happening, but the reality was not exactly coinciding because we still experienced little crashing. So on my own visions $48k might take few week and not that quick for just one week.
It is a way of saying that we don't lose hopes as $48k is not really far, it was just a few steps from $45k.
Anyway, we can't assure that it all comes to a rallying trend, dumps are still waiting and we can't ignore this. We could still be thinking positively but never not be confident as we are once a victim to this last 2017. It is a need for us to prepare as not always we are in the hype.
2295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Covid-19 affect On Bitcoins on: August 12, 2021, 09:54:56 PM
Others may disagree, but from what I have seen so far, the Bitcoin market has behaved in synch with the other markets in mainstream economy (stock markets, bullion, real estate.etc). When the markets crashed in March-April last year, the Bitcoin prices also collapsed (although it recovered to previous levels, around the same time the recovery occurred for the mainstream markets). So it will be wrong to say that COVID didn't had any impact on the Bitcoin prices. If the stock markets were impacted by the pandemic, then cryptocurrency market was also affected.
It can't deny that it was affecting the market but not in a negative way. In fact, as we can see the demand for Bitcoin keeps increasing which means that despite the crisis challenge that this pandemic brought us but people still have the courage to invest. This Covid -19 encouraging people to make use of the internet to make money and that is how they were seeing Bitcoin as an opportunity.

2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 12, 2021, 02:02:18 PM
Maybe will skip betting for the fight. I like to put money on Casimero but not with that odds. I'm hoping for at least odds 1.7.

No way also to bet for Rigondeaux. Even if he wins, no regret not placing a bet for him.

Just have to watch the fight instead and just enjoy it. Lack of options to bet.

Looking at the odds on Stake, I think it's attractive because the odds are not the usual 1.10 that they give for the favorite.

Anyways, we can wait for other options like Casimero by Decision or KO as that would be higher than ML.

I'm optimistic that Casimero will overwhelm Rigo from the opening bell and KO him in the later rounds.

That's what I'm waiting also, because if I will bet on Casimero to win, I would go for a KO for better odds, for now, the odds are not available so a little patience while waiting as eventually, it will come out. Filipinos supports Casimero but I have to admit, I'm quite nervous as his opponent is a real champion too.
2297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dot, Next Ethereum on: August 11, 2021, 11:16:08 PM
Hello guyz,
Dot is one of the best My Favourite Project and Coin. And i personally Like Dot Too much and i Believe in the near future Dot Will Soon Next Ethereum.
I Want That You Guyz also Share Your Opinions about Dot Coin.
As it was shown that this project is relatively kept on growing and competing for other projects but yet wasn't enough to say and think that it will surpass Ethereum someday. I'd certainly not thinking like that nor I've thought that there is another who could dethrone ETH. As I know that only BNB is close to ETH now, and the fact that Binance is developing BSC helps the chances for BNB to take it but just like I said, it wasn't in my mind.
2298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills and strategies on: August 11, 2021, 10:37:24 PM
Trading simulators can help you to understand the process of trading upto some extent but the real strategies can be build not be taught so everyone have to find their own way in this crypto trading because not everyone is going to act same to the same action.
yeah, and the other thing is that the market is totally unpredictable and the trend keeps on changing which means that it is really our personal decision made the future of our trade, not the other person. That is why we stop relying on others but have to build our own ideas and strategies. We can do to follow other's ideas but it is never to think that it all comes in the same results. Like if this strategy it work for him, it is possible it never works on us, many events happens like that.
2299  Local / Pamilihan / Re: face 2 face transaction in Manila on: August 11, 2021, 12:22:15 PM

I'm not saying wag mong gawing, I'm just suggesting it's risky, hope you'll think twice.
