1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 30, 2022, 01:22:03 PM
I don't mind if the bitcoin dumps as long as i am holding my winnings in bitcoin.
The main problem in gambling is that you have a lot of risk of losing your money. I have seen people invest their savings and hard earned money in bitcoins and later they lost all the money in gambling.
So its not mainly about your portfolio value in terms of dollars but also the risk involved in gambling is a big con for bitcoin gambling.
You may not that care having your money in bitcoin but come to think of it, like some weeks ago when bitcoin was at $40000, bitcoin dropped back to $19000 today, anyone having like $250 bitcoin on a betting online platform will have less than $250 by now. We all have different opinions about this but it is very annoying for people to lose money, in reality, it is not easy at all. I have preferred to use USDT on any gambling site I use, I will only buy bitcoin back in 2023 when I know the crypto market can not go down much further.
If you don't want to risk the volatility of the assets, you can choose USDT to gamble. However, volatility is not negative at all, sometimes it also gives positive results especially if the market is bullish, right now it's bearish so it's not good to gamble with volatile assets especially if you want to withdraw it right away after you gamble.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 30, 2022, 12:56:38 PM

I trust him now because I like the fact that he is listed as an underdog in this fight, looks like a little insult on him since he is supposed to be the favorite as a champion. Well, looks like bookies have listened to bettors or some bettors are pounding Magsayo that's why there are some odds movement.

Odds now are as follows.

magsayo 1.88
Vargas 1.83.

That was the odds probably many see Vargas will win the game.  Since Vargas's performance in his previous weight class is exemplary having a record of 35 - 0 with 22 KO in his arsenal. Having more fight experience than Magsayo who has 24 - 0 with 16 KO, many sports fan thinks that Vargas has the upper hand between the two boxers.  Regardless, this is a test for Magsayo and I also hope that he will prove himself to those who doubt him being the champion.

Exactly, it's a big fight for Magsayo but if he could prove by winning the fight convincingly, people will not doubt him anymore. He is a champion for a reason, though there are fights that we don't fully believe he won but he is the champion now so we have to respect him. I hope Magsayo would really give a good fight and finish Vargas early in this fight.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 30, 2022, 12:15:55 PM
What a thrilling game we witnessed in the first game.

Again, Blackwater had a good game and they were able to beat the Meralco by 1 point only.
They always choke but good thing they still manage to win the game.

Congrats blackwater, 89-90 was the final score.

They are a legit team this season, beating the Merlco Bolts is not easy but they were able to do it. Their ranking is good now, maybe they will get the twice to beat advantage once the elimination will start, and I'm sure right now the organization are already happy with what Blackwater has already achieve.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 29, 2022, 10:47:14 AM
Thanks @blockman for sharing, that seemed to be exciting to watch.

May I know when that league will start? Since the NBA season is still on going, so we cannot expect that anytime soon, that's why I like to know the scheduel of that game, and one most important thing, can we watch it through online streaming?
1345  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: June 29, 2022, 09:28:21 AM

Kai Sotto not included in Heat's NBA Summer League lineup

Sana lang meron pang league na mapasukan na medyo maganda, sayang naman ang talent ni Kai kung sa PBA lang ang bagsak niya.
1346  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Enter the market with a loss mindset~what you can afford to lose on: June 28, 2022, 09:55:39 PM
One of the biggest mistake traders make is to only think about profit and not a possible loss in case the market goes the opposite way. When you are prepared for a loss, you also get to have a good risk management plan so that you don't lose everything in a single day.

Another thing that affects trader's profits so much is greed and FOMO. People should know when to exit and enter markets to avoid losing every trade.
It's always certain that most newbies who come to the market just want to satisfy their greed, and they think that crypto is the right outlet for that. When in fact, crypto is very hard to be profitable, as it takes good knowledge and wise decision making to beat the losses in the market. While some have been taking advantage when the prices are low and affordable, others too are frustrated as they can't even sell their coins at a reasonable price. And that's how they start losing in the market, because they fail to realize that every market condition has its own opportunities to earn and make profits.
1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 28, 2022, 08:58:56 PM
Take Bitcoin as a long term investment and just forget it like it’s in a long-term investment account. Don’t let your emotions get too much into it else you might make the wrong decision and sell at the wrong time. The  best thing you can do is to not look at it, even if crypto is going up or down. That’s exactly what I do especially now that it’s dipping, I don’t want to stress over it because I believe if I hold and wait patiently Bitcoin is going to rise again.
My all time investment strategy is buying more when crypto is dipping, holding and selling back when it increases. In 2020 I bought ethereum when it was $700 and sold when it was $4000 in 2021. Within 2020 and 2021 when the price was going up and down, I decided to ignore the dip and hold on to it till I eventually sold at a good price.
This is the right time to buy more cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin because the  more people come into the market and increases their demand for it, its value continues to grow rapidly.
The whole concept for crypto investment will always be for long term. There may be good for short term but expect that the profits are just a small portion of what you can get from long term. And most particularly for bitcoin, where its price keeps fluctuating due to its market volatility, investing for long term will best fit for it. Just ignore the market crash, its just temporary. Focus on long term and believe me, people who always win in the market are those who can endure the market for long and those who focus on their goal for long term.
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: June 28, 2022, 08:16:52 PM
It is good that you have found reasons to stay positive and console yourself in these times, not many can do so and choose to see the positive even when their current situation is not going well. I particularly like this
1-   We need to clean of the market all the shitcoins.
It is true that there are many shitcoins currently in the market and not many will survive the bear market, but what is the assurance that more shitcoins will not just spring up again when the market becomes normal again?
Shitcoins will never get lost in the market, it's already part of the growing crypto market. Just like no matter how this market bring us realization that it takes wise decision making to survive in the market, newbies with less knowledge and make poor decisions keep coming in the market and then lose, that is also inevitable. So we can't expect for the market to become clean and free of losses, people should get used to that and let them grow and mature in dealing the market.
1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum Dominance on: June 28, 2022, 07:48:32 PM
The fight between Bitcoin and Ethereum dominance is very interesting to follow and we all know Bitcoin has always dominated the cryptocurrency market and for now it looks like Ethereum is getting closer to Bitcoin and Ethereum Supply will deflation decrease -2% a year after The Merge proof of stake later. Will a new king of the cryptocurrency market willcome?
I think its never possible for now because bitcoin still shows its dominance despite of the big crash in the market. And besides, bitcoin and ethereum are not in a competition, they can be even great partners in an investment with bitcoin and the most potential altcoin in the crypto market. And the fact that bitcoin serves as a currency while ethereum serves as a smart platform, then these two are not meant to compete with each other.
1350  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every "Bitcoin is Dead Headline" is a Buying Opportunity on: June 27, 2022, 09:58:05 PM
A declaration by Binance CEO- CZ

I cant agree more with this man, when other people are busy shouting "Bitcoin is dead", CZ is saying that that is the best time to load and reload your Bitcoin bag, every dip is a buying opportunity but its rather sad that many people dont understand this, they want the price of Bitcoin to just keep going up and up, this is not possible because what drives the price of Bitcoin is not some algorithm but people, real people, its just like in a debate where majority carries the winning vote, your action on the Bitcoin market determines what your vote is, you buy, your vote goes to buy and the higher the buy votes, the higher the price goes.
On the other hand, you sell, your vote goes for sell, and the higher the sell votes, the lower the price goes, then the good news is that the lower the price goes, the higher the opportunity to cast your buy votes because at some point, the buy votes will always go way higher than the sell votes which means price will go really high and then you who casted your buy votes when every other persons were casting a sell vote (thereby dragging the price down), will get to make good profit.

That should be the right mindset if we want to increase our hold possessions in the market, buying in time of worst market condition as it brings a very big opportunity to invest with such a very low priced crypto coin. However, not all realized this as newbies easily gets panic and fail to buy more and hold whenever the market is in deep bearish or when bitcoin price has dropped so much.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 27, 2022, 06:34:44 PM
Official Chinese national news media outlet warns readers that Bitcoin could go to zero value in order to dissuade them from investing in and using cryptocurrency.
China ban crypto, many times. FUD or real you can verify with past events.

The Bitcoin network, its hashrate is decentralized from hashrate owners to mining farm locations geographically. It will be fine even all hashrates from China turn off. Recent years, total hashrate originates from China has less dominance on Bitcoin network than in the past. It is good for network decentralization, its health and it is good to prevent negative effects from China bans, floods and so on.

Again Bitcoin is named as a dead asset. How many times? More than 450 times so far. This figure will reach to 1000 soon.

Bitcoin is dead for bitcoin antagonists, that is why China takes its part. And even if bitcoin boost its momentum again and skyrocket, China will always hope for the downfall of bitcoin. So its never surprising at all. Its either we believed and get convinced, or ignore the FUDs they have started. After all, bitcoin will always live and survive without China that supports it, as there are more bigger institutional countries that have come to back up bitcoin.
1352  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to avoid huge cryptocurrency disappointment on: June 26, 2022, 09:42:57 PM
The most important thing for your journey in cryptocurrency market is

  • Never spend more money than what you can't afford to lose.

Prepare for bad and worst things because your journey in cryptocurrency might not be smoothly and rosy. Lots of ups and downs, challenges, success and failure.
As a basic rule, never invest what you can't afford to lose. Even if there are huge potentials for cryptocurrency to give you the best profits, the fact that the market is so unpredictable and you can't expect the price to stay always on top, so always anticipate that losses are still very possible. Separate your hard earned money from your investment funds, and you will never be totally affected and get disappointed once the market becomes unstable and leave your investments not making profits.
1353  Economy / Economics / Re: if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ... on: June 26, 2022, 08:59:54 PM
if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ...

I think it will reach 500-1000 USD max as you can't use to sell stuff and big whales already moved their money ...

In 2019 btc was already 9000-10000 USD , do to pandemic people invested a lot  in btc.
We can always say that bitcoin will always recover from all its dips, and that does not close its idea that bitcoin will have to drop more even below as $10k. Well, for others it may seem like a frustration as bitcoin keeps falling its price the whole time but for the rest of the wise investors, its indeed another great opportunity to invest. So don't be too pessimistic about the future of bitcoin, it will never end up in zero like what others mostly predict.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 24, 2022, 10:34:17 AM
So we will see if Magsayo can test that and landed on Vargas and if he can get up and not get knock out by that left by Mark.
Vargas should not allow that to happen as Magsayo really has the power to knockout an opponent, that's the best chance of Magsayo to win and therefore Vargas should be aware of that. Why would he give Magsayo the edge in the fight if he can score by points only, he has to be smart to beat the champion.

Magsayo is not a champion for just nothing if Vargas will be careless. Magsayo can take the full advantage

knocking him down. The Pinoy pride is also explosive and has a solid combination that can KO Vargas. It's expected that both
fighters will be aggressive proving something in their upcoming fight, there's no room for mistake and carelessness, fans will
love to see explosive toe-to-toe exchanges of punches between them.

I hope both will be aggressive so we will have not to worry anymore about Magsayo successfully defending his title. This is his first defense, right? So he should make an impressive win here, a KO win is the only way, there's no way Magsayo will win in the judges scorecards on this fight, he should seek for a KO as fans would love a boxer who is a KO artist.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 24, 2022, 09:50:58 AM
We have an exciting game today.

3;00 pm
Magnolia vs Hotshots

6:00 pm

SMB vs Ginebra.

Please share your thoughts on these games guys, these are good teams, especially the last game, so I like to know your opinion about what team to beat here.

SMB is still undefeated,  I think they will experience their first defeat in the season in this game. Ginebra is +2.5 while the moneyline is 2.15, that is very attractive to be honest, so I would not hesitate betting on them as they are a healthy team and they have a chance here.

Then go with your pick, they are undefeated because they have improved this season but Ginebra is already a seasoned team, they have shown their consistency and Thompson has developed himself to be a superstar in the PBA. Chris Ross might still miss this game, so the advantage is on the Ginebra as Fajardo as still not as dominant as before.
The game will start soon, let's see if Fajardo is not really dominant.

The first game is already over, Magnolia dominated the Phoenix with a 77-95 win, and that was even without Calvin Abueva.
Also the over/under of this game is 180.5, so the game went under.

I like the over 180.5 of this game as well.

This could happen if their outside shooting will both hit, this should be an entertaining match up since both teams are a championship contender.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA draft on: June 24, 2022, 04:24:32 AM
Sotto's odds have improved from 500 to 251, but of course, he has no chance to be the first pick.

personally, I have not followed the players that are in the draft pick now, but soon when they will be in the NBA, we will see if they are really worthy to play with the best teams. So my question here, is it worth to take Banchero for a 1.50 odds? Isn't it overvalued? considering there are plenty of potential players also to be a top pick?

There really are only 3 players in play for the #1 pick, Paulo, chet and Jabari.  With that being said Jabari and Paulo have such high floors and chet is an unknown because of how lanky he is.  I like Jabari with the #1, chet at the 2 spot (okc is real high on him) and Paulo at the 3 spot.  If I was going to bet it that's how I'd lay it in.

Well, that seemed to be a good pick, so good luck with that man. At least we don't bet on what the bookie showed as the favorite on the number 1 pick.  Jabari is really a good choice for the number 1 pick, so I wish you get that one.

1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 23, 2022, 09:01:26 AM
It will be entertaining for us if the fight goes to the full 12 rounds. Back and forth rounds and then momentum shift in the fight. But if it ends on a sudden knock out and around 6 rounds or lower, well still a good fight but we wanted like a continuation of their first 2 fights. Round 25th and going on and trying to get each other heads off. And maybe if we are still not that satisfied, maybe a 4th fight is going to be push by both sides.

In my opinion, there is 0% chance of Golovkin knocking Canelo out of his senses. And there is only around 5% chance of the reverse scenario happening. It is definitely close to impossible, to KO either of these two. And we can expect the fight to last for full 12 rounds this time (similar to the case with the previous ones). So in all probability, the outcome will be decided on the basis of points. And as we have seen in the first two matches, in case it comes down to points, then Canelo will have a significant advantage over Golovkin (even without Adalaide Byrd).

Wow! 0%? That's like saying that GGG has no power to KO Canelo. yes, Canelo has not been knock out yet, but GGG has a power to KO anyone and Canelo is not exempted on that, we never know mate, if Canelo will be careless and GGG will hit him with a solid punch, who knows.
1360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is being too nice. Most people don't deserve the chance to buy it so cheap. on: June 22, 2022, 10:44:11 PM
The ones who will miss this train also might never see another. Do you really think BTC will be so cheap for the next years to come? Once it goes in the $1xx,xxx zone you better get used to it.

BTC is being too nice because most people don't deserve another chance after they had thousands of chances to buy it cheap and did nothing.
Bitcoin is not bound to stay in low price forever. What we have have at the moment is only temporary, bitcoin will eventually recover just like what history has taught us. So while the market is in downtrend, just grab the chance to invest as you can't be sure if this will still happen again in the near future. Lucky for those who have prepared huge funds to buy back again as they have more chances to make the best of profits in time. But sorry for those who are going to miss another opportunity like this.
