I can setup the new block reward on my fork. If the community agrees, we will push the new wallet to the exchanges etc. What about 1J from 1 Jan 2017 to 1 Jan 2018, then 0.5J forever?
idea ok, but use fixed block height for that changes. Of course. I will post the code snippet as soon as possible.

hi, i am staking since a few days with the newest osx wallet (v0.8.4.2 patch-5) and from 8 stakings are only 3 confirmed. is it normal, to generate that much orphans? kind regards
Don't worry about staking orphans. Contrary to POW, you loose nothing.

XCN will be delisted from poloniex soon.
no, I'm in contact with them and they have no intention to delist the coin. they just have issues syncing and I'm helping them (kinda I was the dev...).

pallas, do you have a hint for me for where to get libdb4.8 for debian from? I'm trying to get the wallet running on my vserver right now (Debian 7, Plesk) Try using the configure switch "--with-incompatible-bdb" Still: "./trusty_amd64_cryptonited_14091021: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx-4.8.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" I've got other errors about missing libboost.so.1.54 sorted by creating some symlinks. Hope that's not breaking anything. Seems like I'd have to install libdb4.8 from somewhere. The default repository wants to install 5.1.29 ... maybe I should use that and create symlinks again? It's running fine on my other ubuntu machine. if you compile the wallet, the binary will not ask for a library which you don't have. unless you did something very wrong :-)

I have micron ram and no BIOS fix yet so I can't do anything above 400MHZ+ on GTX1070.
Are you talking about Gigabyte G1? Zotac I only own Zotac products :-D May I ask you why? I have an AMP extreme 1070 which has very good cooling but it's huge, doesn't allow TDP less than 125, and is the only one having issues with the latest drivers (mines at half speed). Which drivers? 375.95 WHQL? I on't have speed issues on my Zotac AMP! but I don't use AMP! Extreme just the normal AMP! only the driver 375.85 made half speed due to a bug of nvidia. 375.20 linux; being a known bug, I will wait for the new driver ;-)

on linux, ctrl-C exits to prompt but process still mining. kill doesn't work either. only "kill -9" does the trick.

I am using windows wallet in win10 here ....... I try to make a backup of the wallet I go file > backup wallet > choose a name it also says the file type is wallet data (.dat) > choose a location click save > now a box pops up in bottom left of my screen saying "wallet data was successfully saved at this location" > go to said location (new folder i made specifically for the backup) and its empty there is nothing there .... So........ how can I backup my wallet as it just does not seem to work for me , do you guys experience the same issue? or is it just me ? any help or suggestions appreciated Backup doesn't work as rpc either. Just close the wallet and copy wallet.dat from your xcn data directory.

when gpu miner will be avaible?
We have currently only cpu miner. I have a offer for a gpu miner. ~1.5 BTC You do? Why make the XEVAN algo if you wanted a GPU miner? You could have used ANY GPU algo out there... have a unique algo is a very effective multipool protection additional its to be expected even if a GPU miner can be done his advantages over a CPU miner would not be that big that CPU mining lose any sense but in that area u are way more specialist wolf0 whats ur opinion? xevan is just two times x17 over 128 bits instead of 64. it will have the same efficiency on gpu as all the other X algos, so a lot higher than cpu. EDIT: I'd have made the miner for myself at launch or slightly after, if it wasn't for the very low exchange volume.

if it's xevan, it's not X11 :-)
try "-a xevan"

is anybody mining on the new client? doesn't look like I can do -gen=1 or "setgenerate true"

Can we hope a new miner more powerful soon for Nvidia ?
We are planning to release an improved version of EQM, targeting 100+ Sol/s on GTX 970 and 180+ Sol/s on 1070 (not yet fully tested, though). ok but we need the sources

The lyra2 grid is too much bigger than the one in lyra2re and lyra2rev2. A gpu implementation will likely have similar efficiency as cpu, if not worse. Too big of a challenge for an algo which is already planned to be phased out.

Sorry if I missed it (or maybe I am blind) but where can I download the Espers testnet?
Near the end of the OP.

Hello,
Would I be able to effectively use sgminer on a x11 algo with a rx 480 gpu in windows?
I tried a few things but the hash rate is almost nothing.
Thanks for your input
X11, and all the X algos except x17, are for ASICs only.

On Testnet? No problem No no, real coins ;-) You are the guy with 7,382KH/s @esppool? Pffff I'm solo mining with 22 Mh/s
