Exchanges briefing: - BTC38 still on hold: I've been working with them for months to no avail (yet). The volume is huge and I still believe it's their interest to finally re-enalbe the wallet.
- Poloniex: trading closed but wallet available for withdrawals. To be listed again, we should submit an "add coin" request as if it was new.
- Bittrex: they just keep ignoring me.
- Novaexchange: We are progressing quickly, I think we will be listed in a few days.
- Bter: I haven't used the exchange for years so I can't speak, but I read reports of it working but with issues.
pallas, what can I do to help? Like I mentioned in my last (and first) post, it takes only 0.03025 BTC to get the coin approved on Nova. We can then woo those who have XCN already on btc38 to come trade on Nova. This could help re-enlist the currency on Poloniex. How else can I help? Voting on novaexchange is much appreciated. I don't know if chinese speaking people would come to novaexchange. It looks like btc38 has its own large fan base, which pushes the price and the volume, hence why I've been doing all I could for months, to help fix their wallet. Poloniex may be coming, and we already have bter and bx, I don't think we need more than those. Otherwise, we risk diluting the trade volume too much.

you all make the miner programs charge service fees to use them and you can not even compile the exe. for the miner that can not cod script like you ?so meany of miner's would love to mine some coins but uncompiled exe programs will not help the low educated miners ,i lost out on like 10 coins now because you all make a program then never release's or you have to compile it your self ,or pay some stupid fee like 1 btc to have it compiled .I know you all get coin for making miners from the dev's that run the coin .one would think they would wont altcoin mining to go big, but if you cockblock the programs that make it big and make somebody go to university just to compile a scrypt is very stupid and will be anther 50 years till we get away with banks ,if we fast track it you make the miners take the profit get your own gpu's and mine you awn coins ,so many miners loss $$$$ on shit coins and the good 1 are only for the elect ?and the ones that run linux os, again only the select few that use that blackhat os and windows sucks for running any high and program like a fancy compiler on a high end pc or server not every one is in you spot to have all the good stuff .i say this because every miner that is not compile gets this in the forum can not compile ,,,,,,and they never do ,only %5 can compile anything .so coins die from not having miner mine it ......o ps this is not directed to any one that make this program i am speaking in gen all do this .
I'm not sure I understand all that you are saying. Anyways, I can't ask coins to write the miner to the coin dev, because he's myself. There is a compiled windows binary made by djm34.

I could withdraw from poloniex just fine, but it was some weeks ago. About btc38, I don't know, they share very little with me.

Otherwise, people would just sell open work with little or no modifications.
Nobody want's to buy if the speed isn't improved. When you optimize you often you need to try 10 different approaches to gain speed, so a few lines of code can take 100hours to make. because the 9 first attempts didn't work. It wasn't directed to you: you know how much you worked on the code, I don't need to teach you anything. Still, the license is the license.

|
|
This is key gap in GPL. Instead of being a single standard (like BSD-Sockets or POSIX), most programmers are forced to write a new solution from scratch every time. Year after year. Because a lot of opensource stuff can be only "GPL opensource stuff". Religion fanatic wars for "freedom", where not freedom. Not public domain license.
I ask once again to think each programmer over licensing wars and stop writing the GPL. And start write Public Domain stuff for each human. Otherwise, we will continue to write shit code for decades (Just for fan!) without achieving a good result, while having hundreds of weak solutions.
I don't see what's wrong with "I publish my work with sources for free and want others, who build upon it, do the same". Otherwise, people would just sell open work with little or no modifications. If everybody publishes the sources, there is no violation and everybody is free to do what they want.

New full blockchain snapshot: https://mega.nz/#!gNATwAzb!lMIzMZNoe0wr9UI3p_39mddjcYmFf2G6uzC9vSdvuBk What is the new snapshot different from the previous one? I don't have a problem with my wallet, do I need a new snapshot? No, you don't need it. It's for people having sync issues, or needing the full transaction history into their wallet (for example blockchain explorers).

It seems btc38 even deleted the old transactions to the XCN addresses I don't see my old btc transaction either, so it's not just XCN. Now you know why they have a huge support backlog ;-)

Voted. Any one of you also having trouble getting a deposit address @ BTC35?
Yes, it doesn't work currently. We are in contact with them to fix it.

Is the xcn team still alive? Do you have any new tweets?
I took the development along with bitfreak. Twitter is currently unused. You can find news about the coin on this thread and on slack.
