I still don't understand what they can't see: old transactions? old addresses? I already sent them the blockchain snapshot link, it should include the block data they need. Or, maybe, their wallet is corrupted, difficult to understand. They should have backups, though.
From what I understood, their main concern is that when you sync from the scratch, older transactions are shown as "Unknown". So I also provided them with an older snapshot... Thanks. Even better if they use their old blockchain, but I guess it got corrupted with the old wallet binary.

Coinmarketcap just updated XCN info with the new BE and ANN link Pallas, did you happen to send the coin request to Bittrex? And did Bitfreak pass you the control of Twitter account? P.S. And btw, someone has to really explain to btc38 in their native language about the wallet, cuz: "service staff 小妮: Hello, XCN wallet malfunction, suspended deposit and deposit, please operation after the repair, to inconvenience you, I'm very sorry." upd. BTC38 support last answer: "service staff 小妮: Wallet can normal open and synchronization, but can't import the old wallet data, shown as "unknown", can you solve?" I still don't understand what they can't see: old transactions? old addresses? I already sent them the blockchain snapshot link, it should include the block data they need. Or, maybe, their wallet is corrupted, difficult to understand. They should have backups, though.

Has been stuck in the "loading data block index" interface, more than ten minutes or so.
But does the log grow, i.e. does it download blocks? Keep in mind that catching up takes much longer than initial sync.

it already links to the newest wallet. when is fixed here.? on btc38 i mean. I just replied to your PM, looks like BTC38 sent you some additional information about their issues which they didn't tell me (I wonder why...). They might be having troubles finding old transactions because of the mini-blockchain, but that is easily solved by downloading a blockchain snapshot like the ones in the first post. someone who speaks chinese can please explain it to them? thanks!

I'm sorry for Pallas before the doubt. Come on, bitfreak, Pallas, gnasirator and your friends in the test. XCN BTC38 has a lot of fans, I will pay attention to XCN.
Don't worry, there are a lot of scams around, fortunately I'm known for delivering ;-)

There is an issue with block 160 but it can be ignored. Sync from scratch should take half an hour on a fast connection, up to a couple hours on slower ones.
My bad; worked perfectly on my other Windows box. Bro.. need to stop logging directly to console on cli daemon. Just about to fire up the vic20 version now.. I know, there are some printf around which should put into the log instead. It's on the todo list :-)

Hello,
Is possible mining with GPU?
Thanks,
Yes, you can solo mine using both AMD and nvidia cards. Just mind that you will get a lot of rejected blocks, but it's normal because of the recently added "velocity" feature. Hello Pallas, Can you explain me how I can mine solo? Thanks and regards ccminer -a hmq1725 -o http://127.0.0.1:22441 -p yourpassword -u yourusername need to have a running wallet with the same rpc username and password on your Espers.conf you will get a lot of rejects, just ignore them.

Btc38 told me they are trying the new wallet. Poloniex didn't answer yet. We may eventually go through the normal coin submission process, but I'd prefer to hear back from them before doing it. From my list of peers, I can see about half the clients have upgraded.

|
|
Is it still good for cpumining? Wich algo and miner i should use now?
all the joincoin algos have gpu or asic miners, sorry.

no bter.com ?
I didn't use bter for a long time, I heard they blocked deposits but withdrawals are working. Can someone confirm that? I will send them a notice anyways, just so they know there is a new wallet.

|
|
Everything looks fine: I've contacted both btc38 and poloniex (again). If they don't deliver, I will reach to novaexchange (which is small but trusted and advanced) and bittrex, maybe yobit. Advices are welcome, as well as help in exchanges submission.

|
|
Thanks George5 for the report. Syncing can be improved: it closes connections with peers too easily and may temporarily be left without connections. Catching up with a partial chain is a bit slow and can surely be sped up. But I consider both as medium priority, while restoring the exchanges as high priority. I'd like to see a couple more reports and then I will notify btc38 about the new wallet. I'm still waiting for a reply from poloniex, rest assured I will bother them to death before giving up! :-)

pallas, you're using the new wallet on ubuntu 16, right? Is the binary available somewhere? I had to update my home server to ubuntu 16.04, so I now have to use a wallet built for 16.04 for the statifying.
I use the same Ubuntu version, here is the wallet daemon and cli: https://mega.nz/#!QchXTQZJ!uHYxaflRUEjgliQVbSHOBn83mymxrSTYfKgGei8YVUM Awesome, explorer is running new wallet now. Any chance to get that statically linked? I've tried to, but I always end up with linker errors with bdb, pthreads, etc. It has always been a pain to build static wallets, do you know of a working "configure" command for this task? Newer version have "--enable-static", ours has not.
