Model Antminer L7 (9.5Gh) from Bitmain mining Scrypt algorithm with a maximum hashrate of 9.5Gh/s for a power consumption of 3425W.
https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/bitmain/antminer-l7-9-5gh
Even at the cost of electricity of 5 cents, the payback of this ASIC is more than 2 years. Although in some stores this ASIC costs $ 18,000, which not every miner can buy, but a 6-month warranty.

In theory yes but we don't know how the price of the crypto coins, namely Litecoin and Doge which this miner is so good at mining will be after 2 years, you may not get the ROI as more efficient ASICS can come out in the market as you say but you can also make 2-5x your investment or even more than 5x in these very 2 years because of price increase of the cryptos especially Doge which can go further up and make the people who use L7 really happy when such thing happen.

I would not invest money of my own pocket in L7 but if I have some sitting around from mining activities for me this is the best miner to buy and mine for the future.
I don't understand how you plan to invest.
Why should I buy an ASIC now for $18,000 to earn $20-$22 a day?
The price of electricity is rising, the price of cryptocurrency is falling.
If Litecoin and Doge owners are happy in 2 years, then I can spend $9,000 on Litecoin and $9,000 on Doge now, just buy these over 3-5 months to average the price.

I logic like this because in 2018 I mined when everybody else was at a loss and I continued to mine via Nicehash then until late 2019 which I made a considerable amount in Bitcoin that I sold on 2021 for a huge profit.

If I had bought the coins I would have not resisted the up and downs that started in the late 2020 and maybe I would have sold for a much lower profit, that is why I always am pro mining even at a loss because during some years that may translate as the best investment of your life and is easier to resist the selling.
I bought a litecoin for $55 and will buy more because I don't want to invest in ASICs. I am slowly starting to prepare for a new bull market. If the price of litecoin drops to $30 or less, I will buy more of these coins.
An important factor is the limited warranty of ASICs, and in the event of a breakdown, I will receive a big loss, and for these ASICs there is still no quality service in my country.
2304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia finally pulls shutters down on its Russian offices on: October 13, 2022, 09:03:20 AM

However I agree the closure of Nvidia is not a big deal. The engineers can easilly relocate and I doubt there was any critical research
done there anyway.

This office had the largest gaming performance testing lab. They advised game developers, identified bugs in the operation of various game engines and optimized the software. All famous games of the last 10 years have been tested in this lab, and you say that it doesn't matter much.
2305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.56: Significantly faster Flux mining on AMD and Nvidia on: October 13, 2022, 08:56:01 AM
lolMiner 1.61
Changes
Slightly improved performance of Flux mining on Nvidia Ampere and Turing cards (by approx 1.5-2.5% compared to 1.60)
Improved system memory footprint when mining Flux or Beam on Nvidia GPUs. This allows running the solvers on more then 8 GPUs with only 4G system memory.
Speed exposed by API is now smoothed, so especially on all Equihash based algorithms the hashrate figures derived from API values will appear more smooth

The Airdrop
⭐️ 50% of the supply of POM coin is allocated for ETH2.0 holder airdrops

To reward strong supporters of Proof Of Memes, a 10% airdrop bonus will be provided to wallets with zero sells
For those who choose to sell any amount of ETH2.0 before the POM coin airdrop a 40% allocation reduction will be triggered. Interactions with any wallet with recorded ETH2.0 sells or transfers to a CEX which is then sent back to a DeFi wallet with a lower number of tokens will also trigger this reduction in POM coin allocation
The airdrop will be distributed to ETH2.0 holders on a vesting schedule with an initial 15% airdropped followed by 1% per day for 85 days
The POM coin airdrop for ETH2.0 holders will be fully automated and no action is required to receive your POM on POMchain

If they don't let me into Europe, I will spend my money in Turkey, Egypt or in my own country. I think that if sanctions prevent Russians from spending money in Europe, then this is a nail in the coffin for the European economy Smiley

Well Turkey and Egypt and your own country do not look like the most exotic places on earth to visit but I am glad that you are happy while being in such limitations. It is important for you to be happy as even more restrictions and more bad news for the Russian economy are coming and one of them being the latest sanctions which removed completely any crypto transaction while before you had the cap at 10.000 EUR for a Russian wallet in exchanges.

Wake up before your economy completely crumbles to ashes in not a so distant time from now and fight for your own freedom and stop feeding the imperial fantasy dreams of one mad man that has put Russian economy to its knees is my friendliest suggestion to you as a fellow crypto miner.
I will tell you as a colleague in mining that you attach too much importance to the news.
I can get a work visa or a business visa in one of the Eastern European countries now for about 5,000 dollars, and then I can travel around Europe.
For rich Russians your sanctions will increase spending, for poor Russians, who are the majority, your sanctions don't work because these people don't have money to travel.

Now the brand new graphics card will also be very cheap, I am in China, if you are interested you can contact me, WhatsApp: +8619171166975
A new graphics card can't be cheap because of the Manufacturer's suggested retail price.
Only a video card after mining with a new cooling system can be cheap. I look at the prices in China, but then I find even better options in my city, because the sale of the video cards has begun.
2312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is difficulty still very high on: October 12, 2022, 10:17:21 AM
I have 150 gpus turned them off and switched to DCA.  Bear market plus no coin near the marketcap of eth I don't see gpu mining being close to profitable for a good while.  Probably going to start  slowly selling gpus and see what things are like in a few months.  I'm always searching for opportunity and don't see any, even BTC difficulty went up 10% last adjustment.
Who will you sell it to, if now most video cards for mining do not even pay off the cost of electricity?
I disabled most video cards, but some mine with very small profit of a few cents per day, because it is very difficult to sell video cards now even at a price that is slightly below the market.

Most of these 4080/4090 cards are also take 4 slots. Doubt casual miners/gamers will use those 2 of those in their pc cases are they can accomendate just 1 with those beasts.

What do you mean they take 4 slots?  I get that it's a beast but I don't understand where you're getting 4 slots from.  Are you meaning that it is so large it would cover other slots so they couldn't be used for more GPUs?

If the leaked benchmarks are accurate then this thing could be a beast of a miner.  A shame the market is already in the dumpster.  By the time things come back, it might be time for for 5xxx series of cards.  A bit of a risk buying one of these instead of BTC, but if you're spending USD and you will use it for other things also, it could be worth it.  I'm not sure if I'll be buying yet or not.

https://t.me/koliamainer/8213
There is a lot of humor about the RTX 4090 video card due to its size. The 4th quarter of 2022 will be very busy with new releases from Nvidia, AMD and INTEL, but miners do not need these video cards. And the developers have not optimized their software for new drivers.

Although Intel discrete desktop Arc A7 GPUs were already tested by international media, Intel has not provided an official price for the European market. The A770 Limited Edition, which is Intel’s own design with 16GB of VRAM, will officially cost $349 and should be available through major retailers in the US.

Yeah it's a long time but anything can happen, difficulty can drop with L3s going offline or coin prices start going back up.  Either way 2 years is a decently long time.  I can't see a more powerful scrypt miner coming out anytime soon so it's likely if you start now you will still roi.
In a year, more modern and energy-efficient ASICs may appear. In 2 years, the ASIC may break down, and the guarantee from the seller is only 6 months, although the warranty periods may be longer in other countries. With such payback periods, it is more profitable to buy cryptocurrencies and not ASICs.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I have NVIDIA GTX 3090 graphics Cards, What Should be profitable to mine? on: October 08, 2022, 12:44:51 PM
"Profit is missing"  Is not always a bad thing. Profit can still be had even though some centrally controlled website doesn't tell us.

Please note this from my original post, "It's not easy to learn and is different from any other coin you'll ever try to mine. It can also only be reliably liquidated on one DEX called "Vite". The Vite app is on iOS and Android stores. My experience has been very positive mining and selling on Vite."

When I switch the mining farm for a few days to mine another coin, I see if there is a profit or not. If the price of electricity is more than the profit from mining, then it’s easier for me to buy this coin, and not try to mine it. And I also shorten the life of the video card cooling system.

https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-3dmark-scores-leaked-at-least-82-faster-than-rtx-3090
Synthetic tests are just part of the story. Gaming results will show how powerful RTX 4090 really is at different resolutions and different quality settings. First reviews of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs will live on October 11th.

I think it's best to compare prices before buying. If you choose between 3090ti and 4090, then it is better to buy a more modern video card, if the overpayment is not large.

What mining algorithm will this coin use?
You use the POW algorithm, but the stakers will still receive the reward. I don't understand from what resources the reward for stakers will be paid?
Will you have a premine?
Algo is Ethash.
I would think they will have some pre-mine coins.
Ethash algorithm is very good, because old video cards mine it perfectly. You are talking about premine, but I don't understand about parallel POS mining.
Will it be like Ethereum with 2 networks with POW and POS mining?
I hope that mining at the initial stage will be profitable until many miners come here Smiley
