NVIDIA RTX 40 GPU can reach 3.135 GHz clock, shows newly leaked screenshot
What is confirmed though is that the card reached 65.6°C with a hot spot reaching 73.4°C, and that’s with a current power reading of 446.9W. This means we are looking at stock settings with default TDP of 450W. The fan speed reading for two fans shows 1652/1653 RPM, which is a 40% of maximum fan speed.

Go intel goo.im so happy to see new gpu on market.
And the situation on the market has not changed due to the addition of a new manufacturer. When video cards were needed in the market, Intel released very few desktop versions. Intel needs to design their miners so that they give the best performance and at the same time video cards do not consume a lot of electricity.
2303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine for the next bull season ? on: October 15, 2022, 11:35:40 AM
I mined some ETHW, ETHF, KAS, ETC, KAW, YEC, NIM, BTCZ, ALPH, ERG. (big amounts > smal amounts)
I paid the electric from my pocket and saving the coins. One month is gone.

I will mine for the second month by paying the electric from my pocket.
Then i will stop mining if the coin prices is the same.

What is your opinion ?
What are you mining now ?

I pay 5 cents per kilowatt for electricity. For me, mining is unprofitable, because the profit is negative.
I also have internet expenses, expenses for trips to the village, payment for OS mining:  Hive OS system and Rave OS.
I am buying cryptocurrency and I want to keep the graphics cards in good condition until the next mining season.
2304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA has reportedly removed LHR from its newest drivers on: October 15, 2022, 11:30:01 AM
Yes I am not surprised by this at all. The only reason Nvidia created LHR GPUs was because the Nvidia fanboys were crying all over the gaming forums how they cannot buy any GPUs because miners bought all the supply.

So they created this little software hack in a way to make those fan boys happy. However I am pretty sure miners bought these GPUs anyways and it didn’t do much. The nail on the coffin was when ETH went POS last month.

I believe this to be temporary though as I am sure Nvidia underground is sponsoring the next best thing to replace Ethereum after it moved to POS.It generated a huge income for Nvidia especially during 2020-2022 which they made huge sales selling the cards well over MSRP and sometimes even 3x over the MSRP or more.

I only hope they will sponsor ETHW as I will mine it,but other than that I am sure they will definitely sponsor a new coin,it is a huge chunk of money that they are losing out just because Eth moved to POS a month ago.
I am sure that Nvidia will not sponsor ETHW and other ethereum forks, because these coins are very well mined on old video cards, such as the Radeon Rx 480.
The Nvidia company has a new coin that will be well mined only on new video cards, and mining on old GPUs is unprofitable.

Former MEP Nigel Farage dubs Bitcoin the ‘ultimate freedom’ as government can’t get near it
Comparing the idea of Bitcoin with Brexit in terms of opposition, Farage said that:
“Any new idea will automatically face the opposition of the entire establishment because they own the settled status quo, they’re very comfortable, they’re doing nicely, they don’t want anything to come along and disrupt.”

According to European price comparison website, the cheapest Arc A770 Limited Edition costs 430 EUR.
Although Intel discrete desktop Arc A7 GPUs were already tested by international media, Intel has not provided an official price for the European market. The A770 Limited Edition, which is Intel’s own design with 16GB of VRAM, will officially cost $349 and should be available through major retailers in the US.
https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-arc-a770-limited-edition-is-now-listed-in-germany-for-431-eur

That is not a bad price for a 16 GB card in VRAM,I am not that impressed by the cores of this card but that price is much better than other cards who do not offer such performance as the ones mentioned in the article ranging from 8 GB to 12 GB,this card should be able to beat them in an instant in many things but I am curious how will do in mining.

We have a few hash rate leaks that show it 32 Mhsh in Eth/Etchash without optimization, and with some kernel optimization to be at 40 Mhsh, not impressive considering the 2060 Super does 44 Mhsh.
And the first tests in mining will not give good results. The current mining tests of the RTX 4090 video card indicate a payback of more than 10 years, which indicates the complete uselessness of the new product from Nvidia in mining. I think that other new products will have a similar result.
2307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / NVIDIA has reportedly removed LHR from its newest drivers on: October 14, 2022, 11:19:16 AM
Redditor Timbers007 confirms that GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (which launched with LHR) is no longer affected by the limit. This is on the Windows operating system with Ethminer, cryptomining software that never had any unlocking ability. Provided screenshots shows ~112 MH/s mining speed, matching what unlocked miners such as NiceHash/NBMiner were already offering.
https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-reportedly-removes-lite-hash-rate-limiter-with-the-latest-driver

NVIDIA's Linux driver 520.56.06 & Windows driver 522.25 do not seem to trigger LHR when mining with traditionally locked algorithms like Etchash & Autolykos.

This is a photo of a disassembled RTX 4090 video card. Now thermal pads for modern video cards need to be bought in rolls.
The hashrate of the RTX 4090 graphics card has not yet increased much in relation to the competitor RTX 3090, but this may be temporary.
2309  Bitcoin / Mining / Stratum v2: After 10 Years, The Most Used Bitcoin Mining Software Gets Facelift on: October 13, 2022, 10:18:35 AM
Mark the Stratum v2 release as a victory for the open-source bitcoin community. For a decade, it has been the software of choice for miners to interact with pools and with the bitcoin protocol per se. While still necessary, bitcoin mining pools have a centralizing effect. With Stratum v2, miners will get to construct their own blocks. And that’s just one of the innovations, although the most talked-about one.

Model Antminer L7 (9.5Gh) from Bitmain mining Scrypt algorithm with a maximum hashrate of 9.5Gh/s for a power consumption of 3425W.
https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/bitmain/antminer-l7-9-5gh
Even at the cost of electricity of 5 cents, the payback of this ASIC is more than 2 years. Although in some stores this ASIC costs $ 18,000, which not every miner can buy, but a 6-month warranty.

In theory yes but we don't know how the price of the crypto coins, namely Litecoin and Doge which this miner is so good at mining will be after 2 years, you may not get the ROI as more efficient ASICS can come out in the market as you say but you can also make 2-5x your investment or even more than 5x in these very 2 years because of price increase of the cryptos especially Doge which can go further up and make the people who use L7 really happy when such thing happen.

I would not invest money of my own pocket in L7 but if I have some sitting around from mining activities for me this is the best miner to buy and mine for the future.
I don't understand how you plan to invest.
Why should I buy an ASIC now for $18,000 to earn $20-$22 a day?
The price of electricity is rising, the price of cryptocurrency is falling.
If Litecoin and Doge owners are happy in 2 years, then I can spend $9,000 on Litecoin and $9,000 on Doge now, just buy these over 3-5 months to average the price.

I logic like this because in 2018 I mined when everybody else was at a loss and I continued to mine via Nicehash then until late 2019 which I made a considerable amount in Bitcoin that I sold on 2021 for a huge profit.

If I had bought the coins I would have not resisted the up and downs that started in the late 2020 and maybe I would have sold for a much lower profit, that is why I always am pro mining even at a loss because during some years that may translate as the best investment of your life and is easier to resist the selling.
I bought a litecoin for $55 and will buy more because I don't want to invest in ASICs. I am slowly starting to prepare for a new bull market. If the price of litecoin drops to $30 or less, I will buy more of these coins.
An important factor is the limited warranty of ASICs, and in the event of a breakdown, I will receive a big loss, and for these ASICs there is still no quality service in my country.
2313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia finally pulls shutters down on its Russian offices on: October 13, 2022, 09:03:20 AM

However I agree the closure of Nvidia is not a big deal. The engineers can easilly relocate and I doubt there was any critical research
done there anyway.

This office had the largest gaming performance testing lab. They advised game developers, identified bugs in the operation of various game engines and optimized the software. All famous games of the last 10 years have been tested in this lab, and you say that it doesn't matter much.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.56: Significantly faster Flux mining on AMD and Nvidia on: October 13, 2022, 08:56:01 AM
lolMiner 1.61
Changes
Slightly improved performance of Flux mining on Nvidia Ampere and Turing cards (by approx 1.5-2.5% compared to 1.60)
Improved system memory footprint when mining Flux or Beam on Nvidia GPUs. This allows running the solvers on more then 8 GPUs with only 4G system memory.
Speed exposed by API is now smoothed, so especially on all Equihash based algorithms the hashrate figures derived from API values will appear more smooth

If they don't let me into Europe, I will spend my money in Turkey, Egypt or in my own country. I think that if sanctions prevent Russians from spending money in Europe, then this is a nail in the coffin for the European economy Smiley

Well Turkey and Egypt and your own country do not look like the most exotic places on earth to visit but I am glad that you are happy while being in such limitations. It is important for you to be happy as even more restrictions and more bad news for the Russian economy are coming and one of them being the latest sanctions which removed completely any crypto transaction while before you had the cap at 10.000 EUR for a Russian wallet in exchanges.

Wake up before your economy completely crumbles to ashes in not a so distant time from now and fight for your own freedom and stop feeding the imperial fantasy dreams of one mad man that has put Russian economy to its knees is my friendliest suggestion to you as a fellow crypto miner.
I will tell you as a colleague in mining that you attach too much importance to the news.
I can get a work visa or a business visa in one of the Eastern European countries now for about 5,000 dollars, and then I can travel around Europe.
For rich Russians your sanctions will increase spending, for poor Russians, who are the majority, your sanctions don't work because these people don't have money to travel.

A new graphics card can't be cheap because of the Manufacturer's suggested retail price.
Only a video card after mining with a new cooling system can be cheap. I look at the prices in China, but then I find even better options in my city, because the sale of the video cards has begun.
