1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My Kaspa Web Wallet was hacked on: March 22, 2023, 08:56:05 AM
It is better to download all available wallets using links from the official website, and a link to the official website can be found on the coinmarketcap service. I mine those coins that have a hardware wallet, and if you have a lot of coins, then you need to use a cold wallet that you create on a separate computer.

Lolminer 1.70 vs Lolminer 1.71 when mining NEXA
As you can see on AMD and Nvidia cards, there is actually an increase in the region of ~ 1-3%

I finally find GTX 1660 super for 110$ each, something I have wised for before the end of Ethereum mining, tell me how this is not an attractive deal right now, I also read that mining more than one coin on a Graphic card is the best way to make profits out of them, the question have right now is how good this card is for multiple coins mining.
You can see the standard options for mining in this calculator. Single mining of the DYNEX coin is more profitable than dual mining. I would not buy this video card now. Low profit and the video card is already outdated. If you have cheap electricity, then you can build a mining farm for experience. But I do not want to buy now video cards weaker than RTX3060.

1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future of GPU mining, what's your plan? on: March 19, 2023, 09:45:45 AM

$0.77 profit per 24hour.
Do you have instructions on how to set up mining of these 4 coins on Hive OS? I sold the Gtx 1080, but I want to try it on RTX 2070 graphics cards. I want to test the power consumption and temperature of the graphics cards while it's still cold.

A chip plant that South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (005930.KS) is building in Taylor, Texas, will cost the world's biggest memory chipmaker over $25 billion, up more than $8 billion from initial forecasts, according to three people familiar with the matter.
Meanwhile, Intel Corp (INTC.O) announced a $20 billion chip factory in Ohio that it could expand to cost up to $100 billion. Also last year, chipmaker Micron Technology (MU.O) said it planned to invest up to $100 billion over the next 20-plus years to build a computer chip factory complex in upstate New York.

1590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Competition between AMD and Nvidia on: March 18, 2023, 04:02:25 PM
AMD Chief: Nvidia's RTX 4090 Is a GPU 'Beyond Common Sense'
AMD seemed to think people wouldn't want an expensive, power-hungry GPU.
Mr. Bergman bluntly stated that the general PC gaming public would not accept an expensive, power-hungry GPU:
Technically, it is possible to develop a GPU with specifications that compete with them (Nvidia). However, if you put the GPU developed in this way on the market as a graphics card with a TDP (thermal design power) of 600W and a reference price of $1,600, to general PC gaming fans will you be accepted? After thinking about it, we made a choice not to take such a strategy."

Time will tell if AMD faltered with its decision, but it's given Nvidia an opening to claim it has the world's most powerful GPU. That can go a long way in building mindshare among gamers. It doesn't need it, as it holds the lion's share of the GPU market. Still, it certainly reinforces that notion in the minds of gamers.

1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future of GPU mining, what's your plan? on: March 18, 2023, 03:50:42 PM
According to whattomine.com, almost every GPU is useless if you don't have free electricity. Even if you pay 0.1 USD per kWh, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti are the only ones that generate income higher than ten cents. These GPUs are very expensive and price/expense to income ratio doesn't worth to my mind, especially when there is a chance that new ASICs increase mining difficulty and

It's still profitable to mine with the gpu but you have to mine more than one algorithm at once. Old calculators doesn't give the real profit.

P102-100 (2018) profitable at $0.2 per kWh, mining ETC+VTC+ZIL+KASPA
I have never seen where a graphic card is capable of mining four different coins at the same times, different algorithms for that matter, are you for real? For the fact that this is running on a P102-100 gpu makes me believe this can't be real, that is a weak graphic card, can you provide a screenshot?
I have not heard about Kaspa coin mining in 2018. I looked at the history of this coin, the development has been going on since 2013, but the blockchain started in 2021 and was not popular. The P102-100 video card was an analogue of the GTX 1080 and this video card now has a very small profit when mining Kaspa.

Samsung Electronics is ready to mass produce its third-generation 4-nm chips, which is the main item in the foundry ultra-micro fabrication process sector, according to a report. The Korean company has apparently resolved early-stage yield issues and achieved advancements in performance, power consumption, and area improvement. Manufacturing should start during the first half of this year.
https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/14/samsung-mass-production-third-generation-4nm-chips/

I wonder what capacity the new graphic cards will have then,as the lower the nm the more transistors can fit in so in theory they should be much more powerful than the 7 nm I know the Rx 6000 series were and maybe Nvidia 3000 series but I am not sure about Nvidia.

Who knows if they improve the graphic cards up to the level described it will surely make mining more enticing again, not for everyone but for the majority who are enthusiasts about crypto and mining in general,so can't wait until we see mass production of 4 nm graphic cards.
In mining, there are several important points to consider. Not all coins need a lot of RAM. There are a few coins that require more than 8 GB of memory, but 8 GB of memory is still relevant. But I would take a GPU with 12-16 GB of memory.
Not all algorithms are memory dependent. The Ethereum algorithm loved fast memory, and new coins love powerful GPU cores. Therefore, old generations of video cards now give a very small profit, and new GPUs pay off for a very long time.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future of GPU mining, what's your plan? on: March 17, 2023, 01:31:56 PM
Like every time yes, but keep in mind bullmarket and cheap gpus - not really. Why waiting for the BTC halving? If you want to mine for long time, buy now.

To OP,Exactly this advice.

If you want to be prepared follow this advice and buy cheap GPU-s now,now we are still in a crypto winter market and despite some sort of recovery the price of GPU-s are still low compared to the bull run which they were extremely high.Another limiting factor is the energy price but most cards are efficient and can make you a decent daily amount of crypto for a normal rig with 6 GPU-s and you will be with not a lot of loss (which people fighting for the long run should absorb as there is no other way around this) and hope for the best in the next bull run, that is the best strategy to prepare, you are not late even if you start now.
And what video cards are cheap now? Nvidia's 4000 series is very expensive and I don't like the new power connectors. The 3000 series is not so cheap, and I have no great desire to buy Chinese handmade with mobile chips without a guarantee.Maybe buy coins?
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why we are not seeing a native wallet for .. on: March 17, 2023, 01:24:49 PM
So there has been enough time for any serious developer to build a native wallet to support ETHW or ETHF the two hard forks after ETH moved to PoS in September 2022.Why should we stick with Metamask and no one cares of building a native wallet or even better to implement these coins in their already developed wallet like Exodus (which has no intentions of doing so) and Atomic Wallet which would have no real problems implementing these coins.

Is this because they are not listed for trade in Binance yet?May be a Binance listing for trading would give them enough boost as for the big wallets to start implementing them and why it is taking so much time for the team behind these projects to come up with their own wallet for these coins?
Probably the metamask wallet is compatible with many web-defi projects and this wallet has many users. How much does it cost to list a coin on the Binance exchange? Probably the projects don't have that much money. Probably someone does not want the miners to earn a lot of money.

I love that 2 RTX 2070 GPUs mine as one top RTX 4090 GPU and AMD GPUs can compete on this coin with Nvidia GPUs.

Yes my last RX570 rig is hashing again  Cheesy
Hashrate.no is not accurate.

What is the hashrate of RX 570 and the power draw?
Depends on the Vram 100 - 200 h at i think around 100w. Software show 60w. I hope you test it and make a new video about it  Cheesy
I hope you can buy an elmorlabs tool, for a more accurate wattage measuring.

I can't start the miner for now, this mallob error...
Are you using the old DynexSolve Version 2.2.4?
Update the miner to the latest version
https://github.com/dynexcoin/Dynex/releases
Also you can use the latest version of SRB Miner.
The RX 570 video card gives a very small profit, about 5 cents per day, if you pay 5 cents for electricity. It's very few now.

Intel Arc A380, A750 and A770 8GB GPUs price slashed, A380 now listed for $120
The 6GB version of Arc GPU based on Alchemist architecture is getting some major price cuts around the globe, not even a year since it was first available. In China, GUNNIR offered its A380 GPU at just 799 RMB (115 USD), during a limited time sale. That’s significantly lower than the initial price of 1149 RMB ($165).
