2301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BTC still top1 on the cryptomarket? on: August 10, 2021, 11:34:47 PM
It wasn't new to hear this question, honestly.

But this is my take..Bitcoin is made first and it is simply to find more unique and more useful in the community which makes people give more interest in Bitcoin than the altcoins. And that other reason is that because of its price, that really growing and it was very enticing enough for the people to take some risk hoping that someday they earn more.
2302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoins Have Good Opportunities in the Next Year on: August 10, 2021, 11:02:21 PM

Which altcoin has the greatest chance of emulating Dogecoin's current state, is there any chance that other altcoins could take advantage of this in the future?
If you could say another altcoin could take advantage, there's a lot of sure but if you just think Dogecoin, you might forget about it. Yes, I believe that Dogecoin would still exist next year but by investing in a hype project like this coin, you are taking more risk than those decentralized projects.
Anyway, that is just next year and a lot of market changes happen. It was too early to have a plan, we might see other promising projects someday.
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 10, 2021, 01:24:28 PM
Lebron James kicking and picking his own players to play with like they are flowers in the field while they are not even his own land and he didn't water them.

Uhmm. Wrong info.
LeBron didn't own no team. The Lakers have their own management that manages their team and players. How do you think a player could do this?
What LeBron has, is influence. He can name players he want to surround him, but the decision will always be in the management's favour, not LeBron's.
Isn't it his fault If LeBron has enough influence and so much value that he could dictate what the management should do and actually follows them?
Besides, these superstars who came after LeBron knows who can bring them ring before they retire. From Miami, Cleveland, and Lakers.

That's Lebron, we can't change him as when he started his career in the NBA, he becomes a star already and he is very consistent with his individual performance and achievement. He was very smart to leave the Cavaliers and joined a superteam as he really won a championship, and that is added to his portfolio as a star player.

Lebron has won the following.
Regular season MVP.
Finals MVP.
and championship from different teams.

there's a lot of haters of Lebron here, but it's normal.
2304  Local / Pamilihan / Re: muyan66, scam? on: August 10, 2021, 12:59:26 PM

2305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some people uneducate about Bitcoins on: August 09, 2021, 11:41:01 PM
I believe in most countries not only my country people don't really know much about bitcoin they don't have proper education about bitcoin. In my country currently if you are talking about bitcoin people will just think you are trying to scam them they always say negative things about bitcoin they believe if you are into cryptocurrency you are just a scammer. I think people really need proper orientation about bitcoin and bitcoin is not really for scamming the way people think it.
What makes it difficult for them to understand and even to give some interest in Bitcoin is that because their mindset is already full of negativity. They don't bother to open it and to listen to the positive side but dare to insist that Bitcoin was just a scam and useless project. We have nothing to do with these people, honestly. We just wait until they open their mind and ask about Bitcoin coz I know they will change their thinkings once someone could prove it, this was common even to my family.
2306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Always take profit on: August 09, 2021, 11:09:23 PM
I learn from my experience how bad my way when trading or receiving from bounty campaign and airdrop project, always hold and never try to sell and get profit until all my coin assets holding not have value. I think with trading better to sell when raise higher price and take profit above 5% or 10% without waiting until 100%. This better way if got little profit than have hold later without unknow when our assets back to higher price again.
Depends on the airdrop, now most coins that gets airdropped are totally worthless no matter how much you wait and hodl on to it and the last thing you know, you're the only one is hodling it. I don't advice to take profit if it doesn't make a lot of money.
It was lucky for those who join airdrop if that coin/token has a market value because base on my experience and what certainly I see nowadays, they are not even listed to any exchanges. If that have value already, we better have to sell it ASAP. I just wonder why many people still have the guts to join these nonsense promotions even though they know it doesn't give them the assurance of getting rewarded.
2307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is rising, Is this really the effect of ethereum's London hard fork? on: August 08, 2021, 11:29:14 PM
Of course it's because of the massive hard fork reason it constantly increasing right now. And you know why it's good to invest right now? It's because for sure there will be a good improvement as its regaining attention at this moment as well. so expect a huge jump on the price after days or two whrein even weeks i guess.. And probably the percentage itself in the market is enough proofs what will be the results afterwards because of this hard fork.. Expect what's unexpected mate.  Wink

Given the magnitude of the ETH London hard fork and the upgrades it brought to the network, I'd say, it has a high impact on how much the eth price has moved in the days leading to the hard fork and even afterwards. ETH users have been on the suffering end for a long time with transaction bottlenecks, low throughput and high gas fees becoming the order of the day for the last couple of years. Now we're at post-London Hard fork, I'm expecting the price to reach as high as $4500 and possibly settling at a new all time high.
Well, isn't impossible if Bitcoin price will also move high but it does not, that gives a fewer chance, I think. I can say this because the market is actually dependent on Bitcoin and if there are no pumps going to happen that impossible for ETH to make a rally alone,  I hope I was wrong but I don't tend to give false hope for all ETH holders.
Anyways, this was just pure speculation, this can be right or wrong. We never know.
2308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: August 06, 2021, 09:23:31 PM
I actually think that simplicity is one of the key criteria when it comes to getting people hooked.
^ I don't think if that is all about simplicity, but the thing the comes up in my mind is that all about the promotions and events that have a free airdrop that could able the gambler play for a while. I noticed that here in bitcointalk forum if you are a gambling site owner that has a promotion, giveaways, or event such as tournaments will most likely people will hook and not just because purely on the game. Games like beating the house edge or those based on luck games are also considered as one people got hooked into that game.
Agree with you, simplicity is only good if the website is already established, but even the most popular websites, still run a lot of promotions as they continue to compete with a very competitive market, and this benefits the gamblers as they have a lot of option on where to gamble. Whether the site offers a lot of promotion or not, it still depends on the gamblers as there are gamblers who are easily hook and the sad truth is that some of them can easily get addicted as well.
2309  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: August 06, 2021, 03:30:10 PM
It's not like everyone is given an equal opportunity, people who think like this are privileged and is out of touch on what it's like to be poor, remember that the price of goods and services are increasing and it's not like the salary of poor and middle class workers go up so it seems that they will probably stay that way until a reform happens.
It was being said that poor people become poorer while rich people become richer. The mentality of the people matters in their status of life, like if your rich will simply think that you have to use your money to be richer, while the lower class will be just satisfied with what they've got today and never make a dream to become rich.
It is really hard to reverse the situation but if we wanted to have a change, it must be started by ourselves and with some kind of determination.
2310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin worth so much? on: August 06, 2021, 02:17:03 PM
simple answer is supply and demand people trusted it people pay it and make the bitcoin is worth
It has a market value and people take this opportunity. And the number of individuals who see about the potential of Bitcoin, which eventually helps the demand to grow and uplift its value. Gaining trust from the people around is really hard especially when there is no support from the government but still, people are risking their money for this sake and they are not wrong.
Now, we can see that Bitcoin prices keep increasing and that is something to tell that Bitcoin is real in the digital world, not a hearsay nor it was a scam.
2311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best token for staking right now? on: August 06, 2021, 01:41:47 PM
I don't want to take risks in money matters, I am staking stablecoins on well-known exchanges, even though it's not as big as other coins, at least I avoid rugpull and loss-making properties
I heard that Biswap has a good bet. I want to try it next time if the capital already exists
well, you have some points but can't hold other people to take such opportunities unless they know what they are doing and as long as they are aware of the possible consequences they might get. Staking is also a risky thing and it was more when you stake those new coins.
It is best to make a search first and to listen to what the other members are saying. I'd sometimes do staking but I used reputable exchanges and use promising projects even though I could just get a few bucks in returns.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Galal Yafai (Fight for Gold Medal) on: August 06, 2021, 11:48:19 AM
Even if it is not Japanese, this will be his toughest fight because obviously, this is for the gold medal. I'm not sure why he became the underdog though, Yafai just went through the needle last fight while Carlo won in a UD fashion.
looking at their record Carlo Paalam has more bouts and wins compared to Galal Yafai but between the two Galal Yafai has been more active than Carlo Paalam.  I guess they either based it on their medal count, who has more recent fights in the ring or it's just that Galal Yafai is just far more popular than Carlo Paalam. anyway, being an underdog isn't really that bad.
I believe we should based on the current performance, Paalam beat the defending champion and that's a big thing in sports.

We have a lot of bettors for Paalam here as this thread has a lot of Filipino fans and we know this is only the 2nd gold of the Philippines if Paalam will win.
I hope he will not feel the pressure, just play his game,  and be smart as every throw and hit counts.

I think it's good if he can feel the pressure so that it can bring the best out of him. As what we say, it's a do or die for him, win the gold for his country and get the 2nd gold for the Philippines. And we love to see him really bringing his best and A-game against Yafai so that there will be no doubt or controversy as who gets the win. It's good to be that he is the underdog, as Filipino bettors will also win big if Paalam wins.

He will be inspired and pressure at the same time, but more inspired because he knows that if he wins the Gold, his life will change with the millions of pesos he will receive from different donors, including those that are mandated by the law.

House and lot, car, free flights and cash... he will live a good life after that.

If he wants, he can reduce the risk by betting 10 million on his opponent, so regardless of the outcome, he will still make money. lol.

That's a good plan, but he better be careful with that because instead, he will bring honor to his country, he could bring shame to the Filipinos.

And also, I believe Paalam does not have the capacity to bet that big amount, so he will not likely do it unless there's a syndicate that will back him to realize this dark plan. Forget about this, this is the bad side of gambling but we know it's not worth risking as he is carrying the Philippines to achieve glory.

Latest update on the PBA's return, we might see them at Clark Pampanga again.

BATANGAS won’t be able to host the PBA Philippine Cup.

On Friday, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) gave the league the go signal to resume its games in provinces which are only under a regular General Community Quarantine (GCQ) or a modified GCQ.

Too bad, Batangas has just been placed under GCQ (General Community Quarantine) with heightened restrictions starting Friday.

No venue for Batangas, I think this is the final venue and I hope they'll prepare it soon so they can resume.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 06, 2021, 05:32:55 AM
Here are the undercards of this big fight.

https://nyfights.com/announcements/undercard-announced-in-support-of-pacquiao-vs-spence-jr-ppv/

Quote
WBA Welterweight World Champion Yordenis Ugás will square off against Argentina’s Fabián “TNT” Maidana in the co-main event, while former world champions and all-action brawlers Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and “Vicious” Víctor Ortiz will meet in a 10-round welterweight duel. Kicking off the pay-per-view at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, unbeaten featherweight contender Mark Magsayo battles former world champion Julio Ceja in a 10-round attraction.

We have good fighters in the undercard, this day should be an entertaining day and I'm sure I'll lock into this fight.
I have not availed of the PPV subscription yet but I'm sure I will.

The undercard seems underwhelming. For an event of this magnitude people will tune in because of the main event so it doesn't make much of a difference if they put unknown or washed up fighters. If we get a competitive and entertaining undercard fight it will just be a bonus.

Yes, the undercard looks like the main event, except for the Magsayo vs Julio Ceja fight. Those who will avail of the PPV and those who will watch it in the arena will sure not regret waiting for the main event because they will be entertained with the big fights in the undercard.
2315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Ryomei Tanaka on: August 06, 2021, 05:09:01 AM
Just saw the latest result and Carlo Paalam won the match against the Japanese Ryomei Tanaka. Congratulation to Carlo Paalam for winning the Semi-Final match, advancing to the Finals, and a chance to get the Olympic gold medal.

also, Congrats to anyone who made a bet in favor of Carlo Paalam.

LOL, I'm just gonna comment about betting for the Japanese Boxer but hey, Winning via unanimous decision against the hometown bet Ryomei Tanaka is a very impressive achievement for Carlos Paalam, Looks like a second Gold Medal for the Philippines is almost since he already beat the previous medal holder on there class. Philippines should increase budget for athletes that competing the Olympics next time considering there performance rn.

Any win via unanimous decision is already a major accomplishment but winning against a Japanese boxer in their hometown is just a spectacular achievement on its own! Now, since Carlo Paalam has a guaranteed Silver Medal, I do hope that he brings home the gold on his next match.

I just find it very interesting that most olympians that represented the Philippines brought home a medal. This is indeed, the golden age of our country in this year's olympics. I do hope that in the 2024 Olympics, the Philippines' government support its athletes for more medals in the future.

Paalam has to be consistent, his opponent is not the best because he already beat the best which was the past Olympic champion. I know he is still very young, but the way he fights, he doesn't have fear and I know he will be aggressive all throughout and will win a gold medal. No wasting of time, I'm betting on him to win.
2316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Utilize multi-time analysis in trading on: August 05, 2021, 11:03:58 PM
Most traders pick their one time-frame and then almost never leave it. They are so locked into their timeframe that they forget about the bigger picture.
The other extreme are traders that constantly jump from timeframe to timeframe without much of a plan. Those traders are mostly driven by emotions and trade very impulsively.
A better approach is the top-down multi timframe analysis where you start on the higher timeframe, look for the bigger picture perspective and then slowly build your trading plan by going lower.
That is simple, if you could analyze the market so well, you can see everything around it. But if you just focus on the timeframe, you can never see a bigger picture on the market where it was a part of the TA. Some people never think about how it becomes useful because they mostly just follow their instinct and what they feel. This is a big problem and this mostly caught us into becoming an emotional traders.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much of your total capital is in crypto? on: August 05, 2021, 10:31:00 PM
Have you ever calculated how much of your total capital is in cryptocurrency?

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.

I never calculate the total capital I have because I don't think this is important. and I think calculating capital in the crypto exchange market and stock market is important because we can calculate the results of the profits we have made from trading crypto or stocks. and I have $5000 in crypto and $2000 shares.
May you never found it important but it has the sense to know if you are in profit or losing. When you are in business (not in crypto), everything is written and calculated, it is must be the same thing we have to do in crypto. To track your investment and capital is a way to know where you are now and can ask yourself, Am I winning already or I was a wreck?
Because for me, I was nearly at 50% of my target. Still have more money to fill before I reach my target.
2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 05, 2021, 11:47:55 AM

absolutely , at Pacquiao's age , he had proven the skills and ability most gamblers dont have.

he maintained his quickness and accuracy so he will still dominate this fight.

I believe he has the quickness and accuracy and that is his advantage, however, I don't think it's an easy fight for him that we think he will dominate in this fight. I'm seeing a close fight, just like a Thurman fight but in the end, Manny will be declared as the winner.

Spence is a better fighter compared to Thurman and Pacquiao was 40 years old when he fought Thurman, now he is 42 and he fought a younger fighter, so everyone was really thinking it's a hard fight for Pacquiao and it could put him into retirement. But of course, for believers like me, we always believe that it's gonna be an easy fight for Pacquiao and he will dominate again.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: August 05, 2021, 11:30:48 AM
I think someday they will but Bitcoin is just risky and volatile to be exact for physical casinos to completely latch into. Physical casinos are playing it smart not to depend only on crypto. If yes, then some casinos only implement crypto to a certain degree but most of the time it is very limited. Having said that, future is certainly bright for cryptos and casinos. It's not too far fetched to think physical casinos will shift to cryptos as long as its profitable and then they might go all in for adoption.

Well, volatility is not really a major concern if they know how to eliminate the risk of price volatility, crypto space is evolving, before it was really a problem but now that we already have a stable coin, it's easy to trade bitcoin since it has the biggest liquidity, so it's not a problem.
2320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What hatred do people have for Bitcoin? on: August 04, 2021, 11:13:24 PM
From what I take is that they hated Bitcoin for no reason, they only just want to manipulate the market but they fail to do it that is why they will find a way to ruin it. But it was very fortunate that they just only fail, like I said, they never do good things in crypto but just only spreading negative. They become unreasonable now, these people are proven to have a greedy souls and they live that forever.
Only just to show that they are competing against Bitcoin.
