Can someone explain me something? Was watching novaexchange and someone just bought ZOI at nice rate, and few minutes later there was sale at half that price? Are the dumpers really so crazy to sell mined coins at any price?

sometimes they do, as long as it's profitable for them.
2342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: November 15, 2016, 10:11:38 AM
What is Darksend in the new wallet?

Looking forward to try these new features.

I think it's masternode-based anonimity (DARKcoin SEND, darkcoin is the former name of DASH)

so a public amd gpu miner solo? is not available?

and pallas when you make the chain move, this one here is busy moving all the time,

i meant the chain on polo btw? you would be greatly appreciated if you make that work.

I can't do that.
I thought that Polo was reliable but I will have to change my mind.

Down again, same time in the night as the last time it blocked.

Well, this update is well over my expectations! Congratulations to the devs! :-)

Made a cuda port of SA5. If anyone need.

https://github.com/krnlx/nheqminer

thanks but it doesn't start any kernel on the devices.
no ram usage, nothing.
ubuntu 16.04, cuda 8.
do I need cuda 7.5?

I believe SA is all OCL. Why not use the entire SA miner instead of a transplanted kernel?

Krnlx said his cuda port is faster.

1gh pool is down now, yesterday was a good time for solo mining

diff goes down smoothly, no real advantage.

You seem to not realise the obvious: dev fee only works on closed source miners.
The reason is that there is no difference between free donations and donations by fee.
People will not donate in both cases. Just because they can.
2350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 13, 2016, 11:09:12 AM
It's very weird that miners prefer a closed miner with fee over an opensource one supported by donations.

Pools are down but fear nothing, I'm moving the chain for you guys ;-)

DOWN for many hours.

a bit late, opensource silentarmy gives 85 s/s with 1070

I'm getting about 70, do you overclock? Which code base?

I can't help you, it's all Poloniex fault.
BTW, maybe someone can put up a block explorer (the code is in github).

HI Guys,

What kind of coin is this, mined traded, and poloniex does not have a working wallet,

It is worth pointing out also that, as far as I'm aware, none of the XCN development team have reached out to offer an form of assistance, which would have certainly be useful to me to poloniex, to the guys that have the same issue,

where are you guys, the devs of this coin, why non responsive, this coin dead now? lost my money anyway.

I'm not a dev of the coin but I did work on the miner and also did a couple fixes to the wallet.
I've talked to poloniex multiple times, they say they have no intention to drop XCN, they are just having troubles running the wallet and assured me it'll be up as soon as possible.
Meanwhile you can trade on BTC38 or Bter.
Finally, if you have issues syncing the wallet, just read the last pages of this thread to find a chain snapshot to help on coin bootup.
Other than some issue with syncing from scratch, the coin works fine and has still a good amount of trading.
2356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 08, 2016, 07:53:39 PM
6 iterations per second CAN lead to 140 sol/s.
Just run multiple nonces per iteration.
It all depends on how you define an "iteration".
pallas  how do you run multiple nonces per iteration plz?  thx

You need to rewrite the miner :-)
2357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 1.8.3 with sia, lyra2 and lbry boost - opensource (tpruvot) on: November 08, 2016, 04:23:07 PM
Hello, can someone share hashrate for 1080 and 1070

What algo?
2358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 08, 2016, 01:41:42 PM
From a miner's perspective, the future success of a coin doesn't matter.
If you wanna hold, you'd better buy.
Mining is about hashrate and efficiency.
Mine and sell: you make more money and you can buy whatever coins you want with that (even non-pow ones).
2359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 07, 2016, 10:18:54 PM

Compare it to claymores the 280x use 250.watt and.produce 45 sol.
I do 133 sol with the same watt.

sp_ is just spamming his own thread haha!

pallas, where is that break even point wattage/ buying costs?

Depends on too many factors.
You must find out yourself, and continually adapt to the conditions.
Btw I don't think Claymore does 250W on the 280x. I think much less.
2360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 07, 2016, 09:50:31 PM
Any tahiti can do 40-50 sols/s.

But what power consumption?
The cost of the card is not nearly as important as how much it draws.

Power consumption hasn't mattered in close to a year due to income per card. You'd have to have some pretty expensive power for it to be up there. Closest it was to power usage was before Zcash launch, but even then it was only (for me) 30% of my revenue. January before all the new algos took off was really bad, but that was a long time ago.

Power draw might matter again this January after Ethereum is dead, but a decent amount can happen between then and now.

The cost of the power a card will use thru its life will likely be more than its value. For sure much more than its cost minus the resale price.
Hence the power usage matters more than the buying cost.
