2341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Misbehavior of Markets on: October 18, 2021, 02:05:44 PM
Can you add the link to your post so that we can read?.
Because i think nobody read this  Grin Cheesy 🤣
It seems many people have already rated the book in the link given by mk4. It's an audiobook, so it's pretty easy to absorb it anytime you have free time, like possibly while driving.

For those interested in the quant strategy, I did a quick search.

https://coresignal.com/blog/quantitative-investing/

If we are talking about incorporating quant strategy, maybe it's all about how you check on a particular asset and what's behind it. But the fact is that it applies to companies on how well they are doing or any balance sheets that are made publicly available and all that, and thinking of that would require you more historical data compared to just form a quantitative strategy. I guess it could help you analyze the behavior of the market, not precisely pinpointing the background of the company, etc.
2342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if country has fully adopted crypto and they are releasing their own stablecoin on: October 18, 2021, 11:49:54 AM
It's kind of hard to encourage the adoption of crypto if no one fully understands it. It's hard to follow if they have no idea what it is. The tendency of layman is that they could get scammed with having that lack of knowledge. That scares me the most when it comes to having the opportunity of people being involved in crypto.

As for the country's development and release of their stablecoin, I think it's best to be the banks there who would facilitate. It would act as "fiat" through digital means, but its background is with blockchain technology or with what stable coins use.

Better opt for inflation prevention.
2343  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Gifting Bitcoin to a friend on: October 16, 2021, 01:17:48 PM
What about using Binance? Letting them register them and just send them a gift card? Look at the link below.

https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/d4f5b489c5064322826f202a2bd88d30

It has no expiry so it would depend on them when they are going to use it. It's easy to register to redeem. I think this would make it easier for both of you.
2344  Economy / Reputation / Re: Assessment, user yahoo62278 [Yobit Scum Manager] on: October 15, 2021, 05:18:46 AM
His existence annoys me that's why.
So this has become personal and not anymore on pointing out a disagreement.

[1] That past is evidence before that past there's evidence of Pile of Scam accusations against yobit, months prior to yahoo managing their signature campaign.
There's no denying it that they have scammed. It's all over the forum. There are facts on it for sure.

[2] To prevent SPAM doesn't mean you have to Promote a SCAM
But what if there are SPAMS that are inevitable? Like either way, it's going to continue. What would you choose? Someone monitoring it or going all out? This has just become a personal attack for sure.
2345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥[GUNBOT] Trading Bot with 136 exchanges available!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: October 15, 2021, 03:01:00 AM
I remember him asking me to connect to his wallet. He has an existing license way before the gunthy licensing.

His license is "Standard" not "promoStandard". That's why he has 1000 tokens. I'm not sure if it should be 2500 for his type of license to become "Ultimate" unless it will be "promoUltimate".
2346  Economy / Reputation / Re: Assessment, user yahoo62278 [Yobit Scum Manager] on: October 15, 2021, 02:24:01 AM
Why are you so affected by his opinion? Don't you have anything better to do? You keep bringing on back the past and just not accepting why it was done. It's for the betterment of the forum to prevent spam. It's either no one would be managing, or there will be, of course, you should choose the latter. I think that's what you should understand.

As for the issue with lightlord, imagine this, your employer is not going to pay for ten weeks and says to you, "sorry." And if that's the way you do business, then there's something wrong for sure. Idk wherever in the world, that's okay, and I doubt it can be.
2347  Economy / Economics / Re: Simple reason why crypto is preferred over fiats on: October 15, 2021, 01:52:58 AM
Adapting to this kind of technology and application of the financial system is crucial, IMO. This is to prevent unlawful acts such as what you have described. It's not just with private companies but with the public officials that should have the well-being of the people and not themselves. With blockchain technology, I think it's going to be better once it has become like that and they should sign a message with their address and then we can monitor anything that goes in and out of their account.

The transparency thing with financial stuff would always be a problem and with cryptocurrency, this problem could diminish.
2348  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where to report gambling fraud? on: October 14, 2021, 11:16:13 AM
Do you have any background on it? Maybe it's best that you immediately post it because other people might get scammed as well. I hope you get onto posting.

Maybe after you post it on the Scam Accusation board, post the link here as well.
2349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stocks vs Crypto | What is The Difference Between Crypto and Stocks? on: October 13, 2021, 09:40:14 AM
Yes, very slow so don't expect high profit if use little capital to trade at stock. I think stock more suits for long term.
I don't think so. It's cryptocurrencies still for the long term. If you believe in it and choose the coins that you wouldn't mind to HODL long-term, I think it would be okay. The long term would depend on the asset and the person for sure.
2350  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stocks vs Crypto | What is The Difference Between Crypto and Stocks? on: October 13, 2021, 07:09:48 AM
I do agree with some of the points from Husires. But since you said the discussion should be in trading, essentially, there's no difference. The main differences are probably the market itself and what pairs are available depending on where you are trading. All of the drawing tools, mathematical equations, indicators, etc., that are being used in stock trading are the things used as well in crypto. So there's not much any difference with that.

If we are to focus on what could give us financial freedom, I think the easiest way is through cryptocurrencies. That way and the growth should be more significant since the market is younger too. Of course, there are other things to consider, like security and regulations. For sure, the stocks are being heavily monitored, but it's not much applied for crypto. Additionally that there are DEXs that could be used without any KYC or something.

The best explanation that you could give to someone, who is not yet aware of the difference between the two, is that Cryptocurrency has 24/7 markets and stocks do not have. That's one of the essential things that we could focus on—more profitability in Crypto IMO. The stock is a slow market comparing to cryptocurrency markets.
2351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which timeframe do you use for day trading? on: October 13, 2021, 05:20:51 AM
I want to take your word for it and I've bookmarked that site. I will peruse it, surely. It will really interest me and an advantage too if that bot can also be used on Forex and Binary platforms.
Yeah of course. That's a great way to examine an investment. If you have any questions about it, you can PM me for that. It is an advantage if you really know what you are going to do. As for Forex, it's in the works but not yet for release. Binary Platforms, I'm not so sure yet on what is planned.
2352  Economy / Economics / Re: If printing more money is inflation then why printing more gold is not? on: October 12, 2021, 05:28:32 PM
What are you talking about? Gold is not printed; it's mined just like what Oshosondy said. It requires physical energy and equipment to retrieve it efficiently. It has multiple steps process to obtain, whether it's about separating the actual gold from the everyday dirt or anything that gives you Gold. It's the result. There's scarcity in the amount of Gold, but none of it's too little to be significant with fiat.

If you know the history of money or how actual people trade, it's with the use of precious metals that other people might think is worth changing for. In the old times, the trades are happening with different stones or any livestock to buy something. Gold Standard was created to ensure that there's enough value backing fiat. Sadly, it was removed and not active anymore, and they can print even more.
2353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which timeframe do you use for day trading? on: October 12, 2021, 05:19:52 PM
I use Gunbot for my trading necessities, utilizing it as an exit tool and complete automation.
That mention brought back memory of when I newly started on this forum. BTT was the first place I heard about Gunbot. Sadly, I don't use or rely on bots for trading and couldn't come around trying it out.
It is one of the best trading bots out there, not just being bias, but that's the reality IMO. I think you should check it out though if you are really serious about trading and want to take advantage of the 24/7 market.
2354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Veteran Trader John Bollinger Is Targeting $50K After Recent Bitcoin Price Spike on: October 12, 2021, 03:49:17 PM
So Raoul Pal has taken the win on this one, predicting that the current price will make more upside moves and almost reach $58k depending on the exchange you are in. With the current trend now, it's highly likely to get the ATH within this year. Or is it better to have this "short" idea when running the "top"? Do you think that can be one of the reasons to focus on charting and waiting for the right moment?

2355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is what it is on: October 12, 2021, 01:24:51 PM
No one would like something that is decreasing in value, but it is a long-term thing if you look at it differently. It will make itself an opportunity. The opportunity to buy more of a coin that you genuinely believe in. Whether it's in BTC, ETH, or any altcoin that has the potential to grow in the long term because of its technology and the developers behind it, it will surely succeed in no time. Being with a particular project for a long time could carry out something that could make you rich. Accumulating is the key to freedom, and being in the cryptocurrency space is already the first step.

Anyway, if we correlate all the hype before with the ICOs and IEOs, some of it had died, and looking at the current situation that we are in now, it's kind of different because the applications that projects created are somewhat more applicable and nearer to the people that's why it's thriving. It can be applied to some projects for sure but not everything.

Whales are always going to be there. If you are going to HODL continuously, I think you can continue to become one. Accumulate. That's always going to be a key goal towards these crazy times.
2356  Economy / Economics / Re: Growth in the marketcap on: October 12, 2021, 10:14:08 AM
If we are basing on the market capitalization, it's just going to be total dollar market value, right? So based on their stocks and with currency (if it's crypto). It can be compared if it's only by market cap, but there wouldn't be any meaning or reason for comparing the two.

If we are talking about the dollar value, that's okay. It's like knowing how much money is valued and "invested" or "can circulate" or something like that with the current price. That's just how you can calculate how valuable the market of a particular asset is. So to check the market cap of companies, it's going to be the "worth" of the whole company. It's a different thing. But in terms of value, it just doesn't make any sense to compare.

One is stock-based, and one is currency. I think it's better to compare it to equity, right?
2357  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance's 'Un-Ethical' changes. on: October 12, 2021, 07:15:18 AM
It's not unethical IMO. It's ethical since they are just following regulations depending on where you are from. They are following rules so that they can stay at the top and continue to operate. It's not going to be successful as it is today if they do not do these types of requirements for their users.

As for the pairs in the exchange, I think they are making the users comply more and be strict because many people are losing money to those markets. Especially futures and margin markets.
2358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Musk the boss behind SHIB? on: October 12, 2021, 03:23:11 AM
What's the complete story of SHIB, anyway? I always thought of it as the same as DOGE, right? Based on memes? I remember reading a post regarding Elon on posting his pet Shiba Inu named "Floki Frunkpuppy," and then I'm not sure how it translates into pumping SHIB but see how one tweet affects the market? Ooof.
2359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just a piece of advice needed here folks on: October 12, 2021, 03:07:19 AM
The easiest way is to be satisfied with your gains. As long as it's positive, whether it's $1 or $1000 in trade, profit is still profit.

I see this with somewhat greedy people and want more to have what they think they deserve. This ends up becoming a nuisance to your mental health, and it could affect you in ways that you cannot imagine, like being more greedy and then ending up losing more and more towards the market. This is hard because we're humans. We are too much affected by our emotions, and we want more.

Just like what others said, set a goal. Whether it's a 10% gain on your trades or just 5%, as long as you made it, you should be happy. The best way to get out the right way is that you trail your wins. Like ±1% of your initial goal before closing. Like once it reached 10%, and then watched out if it adds or minuses 1%. When it adds, wait some more before closing, and if it goes down, close the position right away.
2360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum and additional gas fees on: October 12, 2021, 02:35:08 AM
Price of $DOT is lower than $SOL (Solana) but the potential of Polkadot is bigger than Solana. I think the ecosystem of Polkadot will be the real and biggest competitor of Ethereum. Solana is not. Another big competitor of Ethereum is Binance Smart Chain.
Let's not talk about price because SOL has already taken the lead on it. So why is it that SOL has the market but not DOT? Or is it already finished? Can you elaborate more on why it can be the Ethereum killer? I have been looking for something that I can invest in for the long run instead of just BTC. I have known DOT for quite some time but have not yet invested in it.
